Since bursting onto the pop-culture landscape over a decade ago in Fox’s hit TV show GLEE, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Darren Criss has embodied the kind of kaleidoscopic artistry that’s entirely uninhibited by form or genre. For this concert, Darren will be performing well known songs featured throughout his wildly eclectic career as both a songwriter and performer, including those from Glee, Starkid and the Broadway shows he’s starred in.

Before Darren Criss exploded into the internet’s subculture as both an actor and songwriter for the YouTube viral hit A Very Potter Musical in 2009, he had made a small name for himself playing unique interpretations of popular songs he’d perform at cafes and bars in his hometown of San Francisco. Little did he know that the same knack for covering tunes would serve him well in 2010, when he was cast on FOX’s massively successful musical series Glee, from which many of his performances of popular songs would lead to several Billboard-topping records. In 2015 his songwriting also landed an Emmy nomination for Best Original Music and Lyrics, from penning the song “This Time” for the show’s series finale. Criss has continued to write and produce music extensively through the years, whether for his own releases as an artist or as a songwriter for theater, film & television. In 2019 Criss created, executive produced, starred in, and provided all the original songs for his short-form musical comedy series Royalties, and earlier this year provided the music & lyrics for the opening number of the 2022 Tony Awards: Act One. As an artist, he most recently delivered a genre-diverse collection of "character-driven" singles as part of his 2021 solo EP titled “Masquerade” (BMG) , and in the same year, released a full-length Christmas album titled- aptly- A Very Darren Crissmas (Decca).

As an actor, Criss is a veteran of the stage whose Broadway credits include the titular role of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2015), How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (2012), and the most recent 2022 revival of David Mamet’s seminal play American Buffalo alongside Laurence Fishburne and Sam Rockwell. In 2018 his work in Ryan Murphy’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story received wide critical acclaim, earning him a Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, and Critics’ Choice Award. He was most recently seen starring in Netflix’s hit series Hollywood, for which he also served as executive producer.

My GTA V Online “Arena Wars”: My first RC Bandito Time Trial [Nov 17th, 2022]

Hello, and welcome back to my GTA V Online Arena Wars! 💥🔫🚗

So today, I’m attempting my first RC Bandito Time Trial, the “Vespucci Canals”. The time to beat is 1:53.000. 🙂🕹️🛻⏱️

BTW: If you haven’t seen or watched my Arena Workshop interior tour, then please [CLICK ME!].

• So, as I said in my intro, I need to beat that time in my first ever RC Bandito Time Trial. And since that I’ve already purchased from the SSASA (Southern San Andreas Super Autos), I could now access and beat different RC Bandito Time Trial places every week. So, before I customize my own personal RC Bandito, I’ll be driving it in their default custom with an additional jump upgrade boost. Will I succeed? Then please watch my video, right now.

BTW: Did I mention that I also attend an actual “Time Trial” using my vehicle from my across garages? Mostly I used my trusty speed motorcycle & sometimes a little bit of 4 wheeled-vehicles. Don’t worry, I’ll cover those when the time is right.

• Now, let’s talk about my experience. So far, I attempted many times to beat the time, and just like the actual “Time Trial” using real-life vehicles you gonna need perfect timing & perfect speed to get in time very quickly depending on different obstacles before the par time fails you. And once you beat the RC Bandito time, you’ll receive GTA$ 100,000+. Though some you’ll get double money somewhere week in the calendar, much like their counterpart. And I’ve managed that before. So, it’s a must-have to an Arena Workshop & an RC Bandito to participate in the “RC Bandito Time Trial” if you have enough cash, otherwise, you’re going to the other side of the “Time Trial” instead.

• Overall, I dig this! I could see why I need an Arena Workshop to get myself an RC Bandito and participate in the miniature Time Trial. And a fun note, Rockstar developers already released an “RC Bandito Races”, which was launched on January 29, 2019, as part of the continuation of the “Arena War” DLC update. I’ve been there with their provided RC Bandito, and it was fun albeit myself in a lonely session. Yeah, yeah because I was trying to grind some money in a hard way, back then.

Big Wolf Band - Rebel's Journey

Hailed by music pundits as most highly anticipated album collection of songs of their career, "Rebel’s Journey" is Big Wolf Band’s second instalment of the Rebel’s trilogy of albums. The new album is about the growth of the band and frontman’s Jonathan Earp’s personal journey.

Big Wolf Band have built a reputation as being one of the best live bands on the circuit, delivering dynamic shows with an expansive range of self-penned songs that cover all flavours of blues rock that truly makes them unique. Rebel’s Journey reinforces this bands creativity, musicianship, and delivery. Each song having its own identity but still that unmistakable Big Wolf sound. The band’s ability to drift between genres while keeping their own sound is a big selling point amongst followers of the band.

Vocalist and guitarist Jonathan Earp says, “Rebel’s Journey highlights my own personal battle with my mental and physical health. I have a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (HEDS) which affects everything. I had surgery in mid-2019 during our 'Be Free' tour to repair damage to my right shoulder, dislocations, and nerve pain. Unfortunately, the operation caused more pain and numbness and for nearly 2 years I struggled to play, some days to even hold a plectrum."

"Songs like 'Standing in the Rain', 'Black Dog Blues', and 'Living on Borrowed Time' are about the battles I had during those dark days. My condition will always be a challenge but one I live with and continue to prove doubters wrong.

"The album isn’t all doom and gloom, despite being in the blues genre. 'Empire and a Prayer', my first co-written song with Justin Johnson, as well as 'Got Me Reeling' and 'Living on Borrowed Time'. We have had many a joke with my dark writing style, Justin brings the light and love. 'Rise Together' is one of the songs on the album I am proud of and is all about the power of love, rising together and that anything is possible.”

Big Wolf Band were recently nominated for “UK Blues Band of the Year” at the 2024 UK Blues Awards.

A bit late....but here's the lowdown on November in the Lomond Hills

November's overall average temp of 5.5C made it the 6th coolest November of my dataset. It started off fairly average in terms of temperatures, but while the 3rd week was very warm, the 4th week was very cold. This means yep, it was certainly the coldest November for a few years (since 2019 in fact), but it wasn't notably cold overall and the month still came out bang-on my long term average.

Daytime highs were 0.3C below average, night time lows were 0.3C above average.

The warmest day was 11.7C, which is 0.4C cooler than the average max for Novembers. The coldest night was -1.7C, which was pretty cold for November (1.2C below long term average) and made it the coldest November night since 2017.

There were: 2 air frosts (1 below average); 2 days when snow fell (equal to average); 0 days when snow was lying at 9am (1 below average). Total rainfall was 88.9mm. Three times less than October.

So, November 2023 came very close to being below average (a rare thing these days) but didn't quite make it. So we are STILL therefore waiting for two consecutive colder than average months in a row. That hasn't happened since Apr/May 2021!
