hi! i know you usually buy the japanese vnc manga chapters as they're published. would you maybe know the website for buying the special edition of volume 11? i don't really know a lot about the japanese market. completely fine if you don't know ofc:)

Hello! I usually buy new VnC chapters (via Gangan Joker) on seymour/cmoa. However, volume 11 isn't on there yet in any form. I've done some hunting around elsewhere, but navigating Japanese sites besides cmoa is also a bit out of my comfort zone, so I may have missed something.

Edit: And speaking of missing things/getting them wrong, I did do that! What follows is an edited version of this post, as I made a mistake the first time I posted this and misread several listings for the special edition with the artbook as being for only the artbook. Whoops.

Hamilton Traders

Hey guys! 

So I’m really not one to actually post something like this but one of my friends is getting caught in it now and as someone a little more established in the trading world (this is not me jerking myself off I just have been doing this longer than she has) I wanted to make a post about it. 

So this is for anyone who as has traded or is in the middle of a trade with www.alibraham@gmail.com/ari-afsar.tumblr.com

This trader is claiming to have an audio master of the Philip Company, Second National Tour, #Hamiltourtoo however you wanna know it by from the Evening performance on April 21, 2018. She very well may have this audio but let me explain how this trade between her and I progressed. 

The first red flag to me really should have been the cast list she posted, claiming that Nyla Sostre was on for her role as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds that night. Jen Sese was on for this role in both the Matinee and Evening performances but I let this slide thinking perhaps there had been a change before they could change the slips in the playbill (why did I think this...who knows..). 

When we traded the first audio that was sent to me in a mega.nz folder labeled 4/21/2018 ham

was actually @punxyphillip ‘s January 09, 2018 Hamilton Chicago master. It’s one of my favorite audios and I’d recognize it from anywhere but if you don’t trust my ear, I compared the wavelengths in Audacity from this and the audio of the Jan 9 performance and they’re exactly the same. (01/09 at the top. “04/21″ at the bottom.)

And this point I figured there was just a mixup and I let www.alibraham@gmail.com/ari-afsar.tumblr.com know, she apologized and said she had indeed mixed them up and would send me the correct audio later. Cool, I was fine with that because I know stuff can get thrown into the wrong folders and mixups do happen. 

They sent me another link this morning. A Google Drive folder labeled “hamilton (philip company - 4/21/18) ari-afsar’s master”

You can see here the cast list is what she had originally posted on tumblr. When I downloaded this, I was a little surprised to find out it was actually @elizabethhamilton1780 ‘s master from April 14, 2018′s Matinee. I know this because the tracks are labeled, I did the tracking. 

And comparing the wavelengths again, you can see they are indeed exactly the same. 

After I saw this I asked www.alibraham@gmail.com/ari-afsar.tumblr.com again and was told her audio was “being marked as unavailable” and there had been another mixup with folder labeling and that “it keeps being corrupted or taken because of whatever reason”. She told me that if I didn’t want to trade anymore that was fine (I have already sent her my side of the trade) and she could send me a different bootleg that she had just received. I told her it wasn’t an issue and that I just wanted her to be more careful with labeling things if this was indeed two mistakes and to inform anyone else she had traded with she had sent them the incorrect audios. 

I’m not sure who else she has traded with but I know for a fact she sent @elizabethhamilton1780 the same Jan 9 audio ( @punxyphillip ‘s) as I got and said that it sounded different because “i [ari-afsar] messed around a little bit with the tracks.” She also hasn’t informed her yet that she sent the incorrect audio.

Like I said, I don’t really like that I have to make this post and I have informed @ari-afsar that I was making it solely to let anyone else who was trading with her/was planning on trading with her/had already traded with her for this master that they were probably sent the incorrect audio. 

Thanks if you read this far. If anyone else can prove they traded with her and were sent the incorrect audio I’ll happily gift one of my masters to you if it’s something you’d want just send me a message! y’all can hate me/send hate (anon is back on for my #1 fan out there lol)/whatever you want for posting this but I thought it was important to share. Stealing people’s masters is NOT a way to get established in this community, there are so many people who will help you and gift things or even just looking on tumblr, reddit, yahoo there’s lots of stuff that gets gifted and that can be a good start.
