For just $375.00 Just a gem of a specimen crafted by a true master of the taxidermy field. From every angle this piece appears to capture this small bird in its natural habitat. The attention to detail in both the bird and it’s surroundings complement one another perfectly. The perched bird appears to be alive in any light or at any vantage point, it’s truly amazing and lifelike. The artist’s attention to detail is apparent when you closely examine the cotton filled and wire wrapped perch (Branch/twig) that the specimen is centered on. The quality of this piece is as close to perfection as one will find in a piece of this age. It’s mind blowing to say the least that this gem survived the many moves and years it did. The hand blown, hand cut and hand rolled glass Victorian era science grade glass dome or “globe” is in superb condition free of any cracks, dings, scratches or imperfections. Likewise the wooden base although showing a very minimal surface marking around the exterior front facing rim is completely sound & by appraisal standards the base is near perfect showing a very appealing original finish obstructed only in minor areas of wear over the pieces lifetime. The fowl itself is brilliant in color and in stature, posed in the perfect place within the layout of the work. The landscape and specimen appear to come alive and the landscape transforms into a living and breathing scene for any viewer in short order. This piece, as seen in the photos is absolutely breathtaking and is a truly astonishing work by a master of their trade. We will arrange special delivery hand to hand for this item! Rest assured although delicate, this item will arrive sound and intact / as seen in photos. Please ask any questions needed, request more photos as you see fit and know that we greatly appreciate your visit / business and we thank you!
