If I ever get proposed to, I want it to be in a car, in the most impromptu setting ever. No ring nothing. Do it for the plot.

Have you watched ante sundaraniki (dumb question)....... because I haven't (dumb behaviour) and i REALLY wanna know if it is goodddd
JUST watched it today and i love it!!!! super cute romance, lovely character development, lovely theme/message, and no encouragement of toxic masculinity or (micro)misogyny!! + fun storytelling, and some fun easter egg sort of things (idk how to explain properly but I'll tell you what i meant after you watch the movie)
plus like. the female lead gets a proportionate amount of attention? (the number of times I've been PISSED at how much more screentime/background info the male lead gets??? sigh. but none of that here!!)
so yes, absolutely would recommend, I'm currently looking for a pirated link to rewatch some bits on my phone because the tv is occupied 😂
also @mizutaama once compared ante sundaraniki with ok kanmani, and i kept thinking of that as i watched the movie today, and i agree i think? ante sundaraniki is definitely one of my fav romcoms now (ok kanmani is like. among top 3)

A look back at the old year that once was new.
The landscape of cinema has been changing with the emergence of OTT platforms. watched hi nanna today and it was so good!
the female lead talking about not wanting to get married or have kids AND not being ridiculed for it was not smth i expected to watch in a telugu movie but it gave me exactly that!
my first favourite scene in the movie was the one where yashna breaks down after finding about their daughter's condition and she starts taking it out on viraj and he tries his best to hug her and they end up on the floor with him holding her down. i just loved everything about it! the acting was honestly amazing. mrunal did a fantastic job and even the way it was shot was just,,, beautiful
my second favourite scene was the one where viraj talks about having kids and yashna freaks out and they argue about it and viraj goes out the door saying he wished he never married her but immediately comes back in and hugs her and they make up
ALSO i love that the movie still has that lil bit of silliness that most telugu rom coms do!
i'm really not sure how i feel about the ending tho bc i didn't like it after finishing the movie bc i thought viraj deserved someone better than yashna?? hated that she blamed him for their daughter's condition but now that i think about it.... i feel like viraj should've been more understanding about her stance on kids so he shouldn't have brought up kids so suddenly in the first place and now i've finally come to the conclusion that it kinda makes sense lol
another favourite thing about the movie is yashna's character! she's a woman who's scared of getting married bc of her parents own broken marriage and doesn't want to have kids bc what if her marriage fails too? she doesn't want to put her kids through what she'd experienced and it's such a valid fear for someone like her. and sure, she gets over her fear of marriage bc of viraj but it's not easy for her to change the way she thinks about kids and so she tells viraj that she's worried that if they have kids and their marriage ends up failing, then it's gonna hit the kids the hardest and she doesn't want that which, again, makes so much sense for someone who grew up the way she did but viraj did not grow the way she did and so he hates that she thinks so pessimistically about their marriage and they have a fight about it
and after they end up having a daughter who's diagnosed at birth with a fatal pulmonary condition, yashna freaks out bc her worst fear has come true in a way she did not expect it to. she has to put her daughter through so much trouble but not bc of why she thought it would be that way
and and and the fact that the three of them don't together until after yashna gets better is amazing! might not work for everyone but it worked for them haha

LIST OF MY FAVORITE FILMS THAT I HAPPENED TO WATCH IN AUGUST…… :)
Tumblr media
AAVESHAM: I like the silliness ( doesn’t mean to say it’s dumb & meaningless) of this film in particular…. I fancy its presentation style ( like it’s very comical & animated ) ….
Tumblr media
SAPTA SAGARADAACHE ELLO- SIDE A&B: I look at this series of films as dark chocolate… side A is similar to 55% cocoa dark chocolate & side B is almost identical to 90% cocoa dark chocolate.… Amongst the dairy milk (which contains more amount of sugar than cocoa beans) kinda romantic films, this film is not that type.…. It's more raw, rooted & hard-hittin’ …
Tumblr media
VAAZHAI: After watchin’ this film, I was like “I am not even eligible to say the word tribulation to describe my downs ” as the director conveyed to me the true meanin’ of the word “hardship” …. Many people say that this film is not a commercial film which I don't agree….
Tumblr media
SARIPODHAA SANIVAARAM: I watched this film yesterday... I think this film’s director made this film with the feelin’ “This is what you wanted right?? Take it take it” … But he did not cook this film in an unambitious way… He had done it in an admirable & intelligent way… I watched Ante Sundaraniki before & I like that film as well.… That film is more rooted compared to this film… But that doesn't make this film weak either:)
I am not a film expert.… I’m just an admirer of films

1 MONTH TO GO FOR NEET 2023!
Tumblr media
DAY 1/36
I started my day early as a boost, because as much as I like my sleep and the night-time beauty, there's something about the early morning naivette of the world that inspires me. It resembles a waking soul like mine and the light through fog sifts by my fingers lazily, loving to caress my heart a bit longer.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram Movie
Tumblr media
Introduction:
“Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” released on August 29, 2024, is a Telugu action drama film directed by Vivek Athreya. It features the talented Nani in the lead role alongside SJ Suryah, Priyanka Arul Mohan, and Murali Sharma. This film marks the second collaboration between Nani and Athreya, following their successful venture with “Ante Sundaraniki.” The narrative revolves around vengeance, justice, and the struggle against systemic oppression, encapsulated within a classic masala entertainer framework.
“Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” explores the life of Surya, a man who channels his anger into a weekly ritual of retribution against those who have wronged him, promising to keep his rage in check for six days. The film has generated considerable buzz, with audiences eager to see how Athreya reinvents traditional action tropes while maintaining a fresh narrative.
Story:
The story centers on Surya (Nani), a LIC insurance agent who lives by a unique code: he suppresses his anger throughout the week, only unleashing it against those who have wronged him on Saturdays. This unusual approach stems from a promise made to his mother, who instilled in him the importance of controlling his emotions. The plot thickens when a tragic incident in Sokulapalem pits him against the ruthless Circle Inspector Daya (SJ Suryah), a man who revels in punishing the villagers.
As Surya navigates his dual life one as a mild-mannered insurance agent and the other as a vigilante he encounters Charulatha (Priyanka Arul Mohan), a policewoman whose involvement complicates his quest for justice. The film intricately weaves together personal vendettas, societal injustices, and the emotional turmoil of its characters, leading to a dramatic confrontation that tests Surya’s resolve and moral compass.
