Day 16: surreal #anotherworldoctober • If you remember the words I shared when I posted some of these images in 2018, that I took while trying to find my strength to leave an abusive relationship in 2017, you’ll probably understand how surreal it feels to scroll through my phone and see them and think about all the different fragments of life lived even in just the last handful of years. Each memory both incredibly vivid, and yet, also feels like a fever dream that happened to someone else entirely. Day 14 Upcycle #anotherworldoctober 90% of everything I create is upcycled. From my collages, jewelry, and assemblages, to the tools and ingredients I use in my Witchcraft practice. I’m one of those people that can see a use for everything. My children tease me that I’m a hoarder, and for good cause 😂 I made this Victoriana/Steampunk-esque charm bracelet a few years ago using pieces leftover from a Betsy Johnson bracelet and bits and bobs I absolutely adored and had no idea what to do with. And all these years later, I still love it. Looking at it now though, there are a few things I’m probably going to switch out just because my tastes have changed.
