How To Prevent Fraud In Custom Online Panel Research?
Tumblr media
Custom online panel research has emerged as a powerful method for gathering targeted insights from specific demographics or groups. However, amidst its efficacy, ensuring the integrity and authenticity of data remains a critical concern. Fraudulent activities such as bot responses, duplicate entries, and dishonest participation can compromise the reliability and validity of research findings. Implementing robust measures to prevent fraud is imperative for maintaining the credibility and value of custom online panel research.
Strategic Participant Screening: Implementing stringent screening processes for panel participants is the first line of defense against fraudulent entries. Thoroughly vetting and verifying participants through detailed registration forms, including qualifying questions, and verifying identities can significantly reduce the likelihood of fraudulent or dishonest responses.
Utilize CAPTCHA and Human Verification: Integrating CAPTCHA challenges or other human verification tools in the survey process can help differentiate between human respondents and automated bots. These mechanisms ensure that real individuals are participating in the research, minimizing the risk of bot-generated responses.
IP Address Monitoring and Restrictions: Tracking IP addresses and restricting multiple responses from the same IP or device helps prevent duplicate entries. Implementing limitations on the number of responses per IP address or device ensures that each participant contributes only once, maintaining data accuracy.
Implement Data Validation Checks: Employing data validation checks within the survey ensures that responses align with expected patterns or logic. Flagging inconsistent or improbable responses for further review can help identify potential fraudulent entries.
Educate Participants on Expectations: Clearly communicate survey guidelines, expectations, and the importance of honest and accurate responses to participants. Emphasize the significance of truthful participation in maintaining research integrity, encouraging ethical behavior among panel members.
Anonymous Responses with Confidentiality Assurances: Assure participants of the confidentiality of their responses and provide options for anonymous participation when feasible. Creating a secure and non-judgmental environment encourages truthful responses and discourages fraudulent behaviors.
Regular Audits and Monitoring: Conduct regular audits and data checks to identify anomalies or suspicious patterns in responses. Proactive monitoring allows for timely intervention and corrective actions to maintain the quality and authenticity of collected data.
Utilize Technology and Advanced Algorithms: Leverage advanced technologies such as AI-based fraud detection algorithms to identify and flag potentially fraudulent responses. These algorithms can detect anomalies in response patterns or behavior, alerting administrators for further investigation.
Compliance with Ethical Standards and Regulations: Adhere to ethical research standards and comply with relevant regulations like GDPR, CCPA, or industry-specific guidelines. Ensuring transparency, consent, and compliance with data protection regulations builds trust and credibility in panel research practices.
Continuous Improvement and Adaptation: Stay vigilant and continuously adapt strategies to evolving fraud tactics. Regularly update security measures, improve screening processes, and incorporate new technologies to stay ahead of potential fraudulent activities.
By implementing a combination of these preventive measures and maintaining a proactive stance against fraudulent activities, researchers and organizations can enhance the credibility and reliability of custom online panel research. Upholding research integrity not only ensures the quality of insights but also fosters trust among participants and stakeholders, reinforcing the value of data collected through online panel research.

6 Effective Ways to Automate HR Processes for Better Efficiency
Human Resources (HR) departments are the backbone of any organization, handling everything from recruiting to employee engagement. As companies grow, managing these processes manually becomes overwhelming and time-consuming. Automating HR processes can help organizations save time, reduce human error, and focus on more strategic tasks. Below, we'll explore several ways to automate key HR functions, boosting efficiency across the board.
1. Automate Recruitment and Hiring
Recruitment is one of the most time-consuming HR tasks. Automating the hiring process can help you streamline resume screening, interview scheduling, and communication with candidates. Tools like HR software solutions enable automated job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate evaluations. AI-powered systems can even analyze resumes to find the most qualified candidates based on the job requirements.
Benefits:
Reduces time spent on manual screening
Ensures consistency in candidate evaluation
Provides data-driven insights to improve the hiring process
2. Automate Onboarding
The onboarding process is critical to setting new employees up for success. Automated onboarding systems simplify everything from document submission to introducing new hires to your company's policies and culture. These systems can send automatic reminders, manage paperwork digitally, and schedule training sessions.
Moreover, including an anonymous employee feedback tool in your onboarding process helps to gather insights on the new hire’s experience, enabling continuous improvement. This data can be used to improve onboarding programs and ensure that new employees feel engaged from the start.
Benefits:
Speeds up paperwork and training
Improves compliance with company policies
Enhances the onboarding experience with real-time feedback
3. Automate Payroll and Benefits Administration
Manually processing payroll can lead to errors and delays. Automated payroll systems handle salary disbursements, tax calculations, and deductions with minimal human intervention. These systems ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time, which boosts morale and reduces the likelihood of payroll disputes.
Benefits administration can also be automated, allowing employees to select or modify benefits packages through self-service portals. These solutions keep track of deadlines and automatically update benefits when an employee’s status changes.
Benefits:
Ensures timely and accurate payments
Reduces administrative burden
Minimizes the risk of human error
4. Automate Performance Management
Automating performance management helps HR teams stay on top of employee evaluations and goal-setting. You can use HR software solutions to set clear objectives, send automatic reminders for upcoming evaluations, and track employee progress throughout the year.
Incorporating tools for collecting anonymous employee feedback during performance reviews also helps to create a fair and transparent process. Employees can provide honest input without the fear of repercussions, helping managers address issues proactively.
Benefits:
Keeps employees aligned with company goals
Provides continuous feedback and development opportunities
Promotes fairness in evaluations
5. Automate Employee Engagement and Recognition
Employee engagement is key to retention, and automation can make it easier to recognize and reward employees in real time. Many HR platforms now offer automated recognition programs where managers and peers can give instant kudos. Using anonymous employee feedback tools, you can also gauge employee sentiment regularly, identify issues, and act on feedback to improve workplace culture.
Benefits:
Improves employee satisfaction and retention
Creates a positive work environment
Encourages peer-to-peer recognition
6. Automate Compliance Management
Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations is a significant part of HR's responsibility. Automated compliance management systems help keep track of changes in legislation and ensure that your company stays compliant. These systems can alert HR teams to any upcoming deadlines for certifications, licenses, or other compliance-related tasks.
Benefits:
Reduces risk of legal penalties
Simplifies record-keeping and audits
Ensures ongoing compliance with laws
Conclusion
Automating HR processes using HR software solutions is no longer just a trend—it’s a necessity for scaling businesses. From recruitment to employee engagement, automation reduces manual work and increases efficiency, allowing HR teams to focus on strategic initiatives that drive company growth. Additionally, incorporating an anonymous employee feedback tool into your HR automation toolkit ensures you’re continuously improving processes based on valuable employee insights.
By automating these critical functions, organizations can create a more streamlined, engaging, and compliant work environment.

XGC vs. UGC: Which Is Best for Your Marketing Campaign?
The internet is full of misleading information, anonymous user-generated reviews, and AI-generated content. It can be hard to determine what is actually credible, and that makes honest information more valuable than ever. When choosing a product education platform that also functions as an explainer video production company, search for a partner that prioritizes expert testimony to create XGC—expert-generated content. Here’s how this strategy can help your brand build trust and loyalty while educating your audience and fighting misinformation.
Tumblr media
The Drawbacks of User-Generated Content
User-generated content, or UGC, is a cost-effective way to start building trust among your consumer base but requires your brand to rely on shoppers to create content. This can be challenging, as many customers don’t even want to write a review, let alone record a video. Additionally, depending on their experience level, they may not be the best source to properly inform others about how to use your product or when it most comes in handy. Therefore, it’s nearly impossible to ensure UGC will always be high-quality content, which could be a deterrent for other customers.
The Benefits of Expert-Generated Content
XGC is a new approach that prioritizes expert recommendations. It’s an easy way for explainer video companies and product education platforms to help brands and retailers provide shoppers with impactful product education content. XGC takes aspects of UGC, such as the creation of a community around your brand and the freedom to share real user insights with the value of a professional who uses your product to help build shopper confidence and trust. It allows your brand to showcase industry experts promoting products they would genuinely recommend and use regularly. They can show how to use your product and, most importantly, why they, as an expert, would recommend it. And since a recent survey revealed that educated consumers return 50% less, expert product videos are an effective way to reduce the cost of returns.
What About Influencers?
Influencers present their own set of unique challenges. They have their place for extending brand reach and awareness, but customers are often skeptical about whether they actually use the products they promote. Unlike an expert, they could simply be reading from a script or hyping a product they don’t use as part of a paid partnership. Plus, their opinions don’t carry the credibility or reliability of an expert. As a result, they run the risk of eroding trust. However, finding a promotional video production company that can pair an influencer with an expert can help you enjoy the best of both worlds. XGC featuring an influencer and an industry pro means you get the reach of the influencer with the knowledge and hard-earned experience of the expert.
Where to Use XGC
Where should you use expert-generated content? Wherever you can. It could be featured on your home page, social media accounts, PDPs, or even in ads. The goal is to increase engagement and sales while decreasing confusion about your product. When you are able to manage expectations and educate your audience, they’re less likely to return your product. XGC can be optimized with click-to-buy tech, which drives conversions at the point of sale. Videos not only drive purchases but also make sure customers are truly informed.
About The Desire Company
Building trust with consumers is the foundation of establishing brand loyalty. Thriving in the digital marketplace can hinge on customers’ confidence in your brand. Given the #deinfluencing trend and the FTC crackdown on fake reviews, consumers have made it crystal clear that they value authentic feedback and honest advice above all else. With The Desire Company, your brand can go beyond product recommendations from paid influencers, celebrities, and pseudo-experts. They’re more than a simple creative agency or video production company—The Desire Company is a complete product education platform. They combine expert vetting, content strategy, video embed technology, and media distribution, helping match your brand with industry professionals from their vast Pro Community. When you partner with The Desire Company, your customers can stay informed, not influenced, helping build trust and drive conversions.

Anonymous AI Review - Your Digital Marketing Breakthrough
Tumblr media
Anonymous AI is a shiny new framework made by a group of specialists in computerized showcasing and man-made reasoning. It is intended to help anybody, no matter what their experience, insight, or spending plan, to make productive missions in any specialty, utilizing artificial intelligence created content, traffic, and transformations.
Anonymous AI is not a software, a course, or a service. A total arrangement gives you all that you want to succeed on the web, without uncovering your character, making or selling items, or building an individual brand.

Decentralized Hedge Fund (DHF): An Honest Review from an Investor
I probably should have written this article a year ago but for good reason, I decided to wait just to be sure this subject will be worth writing about. These days, we are constantly bombarded by countless so-called opportunities to live the laptop lifestyle. Every Tom Dick and Harry is trying to sell you or refer you to the next big thing that will
‘’ Change your life’’. While it is definitely true that the internet age and social media have opened up possibilities never available to people before, they have also become channels for scammers, fraudsters, and just about anyone who will say anything to make a quick buck!
Nowhere else is this reality more evident than in the relatively new and quickly rising world of Cryptocurrency Investing. The very nature of these transactions characterized by their anonymity makes them quite attractive to cybercriminals and fraudsters. The promised returns of passive income continue to serve as an alluring bait for all classes of investors, experienced and newbies alike and so I foresee this ugly trend continuing. As prevalent as these schemes are, I have always been of the opinion that there are genuine, real, and profitable platforms out there. There must be! After all, fakes or counterfeits imply the existence of the ‘real or genuine. The ultimate challenge is finding and knowing what is ‘real or genuine’ and that could be like digging for diamonds. What's more, even if you do find them, only time can tell if they are indeed diamonds?
Even though I became aware of bitcoin about a decade ago, I never really thought much of it until quite recently and only got actively involved in cryptocurrency investing about 2 years ago. In that time, I must admit that I have fallen victim to many fraudulent schemes some of which, I should have known better than to have invested in. What is comforting though is that I learned a lot about how they operated and what red flags to look out for. Yes, I lost money, but not in a quantity I could not afford to lose. I consider it an investment in helping me figure out what works and what sucks!
About a year ago, I decided to invest in a platform amongst many others after watching a YouTube video. I didn’t think much of it then, it was one of my many ‘investment experiments’, Its name; Decentralized Hedge Fund. It had a serious ring to it but that was not why I joined, I joined because the referral program was unusually unattractive. You see, most cryptocurrency investment platforms (99.9% of them) are simply Ponzi Schemes or at best MLMs masquerading themselves as trading or investments platforms. They do not trade or make any actual investments even though some of them show trading charts on their websites. They simply pay existing investors with deposits made from new investors and so rely on a highly incentivized and attractive referral program to keep the funds following. Some of them pay you commissions ‘’5 levels deep’’. (Referrals of your referrals to the 5th generation)
It seemed rather interesting that DHF only paid $20 per referred person, something they refer to as an ‘activation fee’ and that was it. Asides from the $20 worth of crypto (Bitcoin/Etherium/USDT) a new investor had to deposit there was no minimum trading capital. The balance of your deposit goes into a trading pool where it is managed by artificial intelligence.
The AI trades several pairs of cryptocurrency daily and the live trades with their closing positions are available for anyone to see. Trading data goes all the way back to August 16th, 2019 and what is remarkable is they are have only posted profits month after month for over 2 years now. It has a cumulative profit from its inception of 265%. This equates to almost triple any amount invested in 2 years. Now, while this kind of return doesn’t sound as fantastic as those we’ve heard is possible and also seen in the crypto world, it is undeniably remarkable not only from a traditional investment perspective but also in high volatility /high-risk market where huge losses are and can be prevalent.
This is the first and only platform where I have actually been profitable and when I say profitable, I mean profit withdrawn into my exchange wallet, month after month. Profits usually range between 9%-12% every month. The deposited funds are held in USDT which is at par with the dollar value and so there is no risk from the volatility in the crypto market eroding your investment. It is more like a crypto wallet/savings account. Your funds are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365days a year to be withdrawn to your exchange wallet.
I have included the video above to better share my story and provide a step by step instructions on becoming a member. The summary is:
1. Sign up on the DHF and verify your account. (Additional security measures were recently adopted that may require you to have 2Factor Identification, an extra layer of security).
2. Get a wallet set up on an exchange like Coinbase (very newbie friendly) or Binance, there are a host of others as well. Do your research, these are the ones I use.
3. Purchase crypto to your wallet on the exchange in the amount you feel comfortable investing.
4. Send crypto to your DHF wallet: Only Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT are accepted. Do not send any other currencies. The minimum amount is $20 worth of crypto for activation, the balance is credited to your account and included automatically in the trading pool.
5. Check back on the 1st of every month as that is when profits are credited to your DHF wallet less the 10% charged only on your profits as Management fees. If not withdrawn, profits become part of your trading pool and are compounded for the following month.
Pros:
Ø Decentralized exists on Ether Blockchain. (No human managers/owners, a smart contract Autonomously run by an AI)
Ø 24/7 hands-free automated trading
Ø No minimum deposit amount asides from the $20 one-time activation fee.
Ø Averages 9%-12% returns monthly at least since I joined 12 months ago.
Ø Profits compounded automatically if not withdrawn.
Ø Only a 1% withdrawal fee.
Ø Funds are available for withdrawal at all times.
Ø Funds are in a stable currency and so retains their value.
Ø Not an MLM or a Ponzi, no need to recruit anyone to earn a decent profit, unattractive referral program.
Ø Now in its 3rd year with 265% cumulative profits.
Ø Live trades showing profit and loss available all the way from August 16th, 2019.
Ø Never experienced a downtime for any reason in 12 months.
Cons:
Ø No customer support available.
Ø Profits are deposited only once a month.
Ø $40 minimum withdrawal.
Ø Inability to profit from an upswing in the market since coins are held in a stable currency.
In conclusion, the DHF isn’t a perfect platform but it has been life-changing for me, not necessarily in the monetary sense as I am a very conservative investor but in the sense that it has reaffirmed my belief that there are indeed genuine online opportunities out there.
Important Disclaimer: I am not a financial advisor nor acting in any capacity as one. I am only sharing my story and journey so far with this platform. Please do your research and due diligence as investing in cryptocurrencies carries a high risk and you do so at your own risk... Only invest what you can afford to lose. Please know that I do get the $20 referral/activation fee if you do decide to invest using my link. DHF

Oops someone else asked about Hanzo's anxiety attack commentary! How about when he tells McCree underneath the trees what he believes his fate is?
Oh My
The click of the deadbolt was audible even over the four or five meters between Hanzo and the door, a detail he automatically filed away as a potential warning or prompt for anyone monitoring the main entrance as he stiffened just as automatically. The door opened slowly, and it did indeed reveal the cowboy, dressed in dark blue jeans and a red and white plaid flannel shirt with long sleeves rolled up to the elbow and partially untucked to ineffectually hide the belt buckle gleaming on his waist. His hair, uncorralled for once by the hat held limply at the cowboy’s side, framed his face, surprisingly long and lanky and dark in the shade.
Jack roughed up Jesse a little while tearing him a new one. Not really, but you wouldn’t know it by your appearance, Jesse.
Hanzo had, once again, expected anger to be contorting the cowboy’s face, and once again he was surprised. There was a strange mix of determination and nervousness badly hidden just under the surface of his eyes when they found his own. They stared at each other for a few moments before the cowboy stepped out of the safehouse, letting the door swing closed on its own with a loud thud. Hanzo could not help a slight twitch of an eyebrow as the noise bounced off the surrounding walls a couple of times, but the cowboy paid little heed as he ambled slowly forward, coming to a stop a couple of meters away, just shy of where Hanzo would have been forced to start looking up at him.
The cowboy studied his face for a few moments. Hanzo kept it as blank as possible.
The cowboy took in a deep breath, let it out in a whoosh, and turned away slightly, pressing his hat to his hip with a metal hand while running the other whole hand through his hair. He shook his head slightly and bit his bottom lip. Hanzo watched it all with slightly narrowing eyes. Finally, he turned back and, gesturing at the ground with his free hand, said, “Mind if I sit for a spell?”
LOL, I love how McCree is supposed to apologize here, and he knows he’s gotta, but damn it, people have done all sorts of things waaaay nicer than carrying him to a medic after they assaulted him, and a lot of them ended up having awful motivations. How can he possibly expect better from Shimada?!
Hanzo blinked slowly. The cowboy made no move, even as the silence dragged on for a few beats. An actual request, then. Unusual. He shook his head slightly, and the cowboy nodded back as he dropped down to the ground. At first he let his legs carelessly sprawl out in front of him, but after a moment he seemed to reconsider and folded them into a loose cross-legged position, his hat in his lap and his hands on his knees, despite how uncomfortable the position must have been as his jeans rode up slightly to reveal the cowboy boots.
Hanzo wrinkled his nose slightly at the garish, unpolished spurs, a needless and noisy feature--but no, he realized, the cowboy had made no noise save for crushing the detritus underfoot. Were these spurs purely for show?
I adhere to the spurs as a cat bell headcanon. And, like a cat, Jesse knows how to get around them just fine.
He shook himself out of his pointless musings, refocusing on the cowboy. He was picking at a small pile of needles by his right knee, rubbing individual needles between thumb and forefinger before letting them fall back to the ground, head bowed as if the task merited all his concentration. The scent of cedar rose from the crushed needles, a welcome change from the wet rot, even if Hanzo could scarcely appreciate it while he waited for the cowboy to reveal his intentions.
I don’t actually know what cedar smells like. I hear it’s nice.
It took a good long while, a few endless minutes, before the cowboy finally cleared his throat. “I guess you got some readin’ done after the debriefin’,” he said, without looking up.
Hanzo could not help knitting his eyebrows together. “Reading?” he asked, taking care to keep his voice level, almost monotone.
The cowboy snorted loudly, still picking at the ground. “Or ‘reviewed team data’ or ‘briefed yourself’ or whatever you wanna call readin’ my file.”
“I did not.”
Hanzo smoothed his face back into a blank mask as the cowboy’s head snapped up, his dark eyes widened. “What?”
“I did not review the file.”
There were a couple of beats of silence, the cowboy merely staring, in shock perhaps.
“Why?” he asked at last. “I woulda expected you t’want all the dirt you could find on me.”
Hanzo doesn’t do things because he’s told, he tries to do what he thinks is best. When it comes to Genji, the difference is minimal, but in general Hanzo stopped doing what he was told ten years ago. Soldier: 76 may have told him to read the files, but Hanzo found it best not to. This is where Jesse starts to realize that.
Hanzo permitted himself to raise an eyebrow slightly. So there was “dirt” in the file. He had been right not to read it, then. It would only have added to the cowboy’s grievances against him. Of course, if he could have read it anonymously, he certainly would have, but it had been sent and received by Overwatch devices--the AI would know if it was accessed. The cowboy would surely check with her; he would not take Hanzo at his word.
THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS ALWAYS WATCHING. This is why it pays to be nice to Athena, as Hanzo’s going to find out in a future chapter.
But what to say for now? He looked around slightly, wondering what was appropriate to say while sitting in the relative open like this. Trusting in the constant drone of the cicadas to mask their voices, he settled on, “You say he joined a month ago, correct?” At the cowboy’s slight nod, “He did not consult anyone. I am unsure if he is authorized to do such a thing, after so little time.”
The cowboy’s lips curled into a strange smile. “Well, shit. I dunno, either, t’be honest,” he muttered, tone thoughtful with a strange edge of mirth. “I guess he must be, since he sent it in the first place.” Hanzo barely had time to consider the implications of that before the cowboy’s face dropped into a serious expression, his eyes piercing. “But you don’ really need any more dirt, do ya?”
WHAT could he POSSIBLY mean?
Well, I’ll tell you, [TEXT REDACTED]
Hanzo kept his face immobile, but he could feel his mind kick into high gear with an almost audible click behind his eyes. Dirt? On the cowboy? Hanzo had no idea what he was talking about.
Was he referring to the price on his head? It would be an odd non-sequitur, but Hanzo was at a loss to think of anything else. He had assumed it to be an open secret of little worth. He had discovered the bounty almost immediately when he had performed a quick search for information on Overwatch and its personnel during his stopover in Daisen. Jesse McCree was one of the most expensive criminals in the world, which would have interested Hanzo greatly if the cowboy were not an associate-by-duress, and if the United States’ haphazard bounty system could be trusted to properly distinguish between the criminal and the accused. Overwatch apparently did not trust it, and Hanzo certainly did not, either. The Shimada-gumi had “requested” the placement of several bounties for many of its enemies in America through its government contacts, and it had mattered little if there was an official criminal history or not. Hanzo would probably have an American bounty himself if his betrayal were not such an embarrassment for the clan.
LOL, you gotta have a good reason for Hanzo not to go for that bounty. Even if Genji invited him to Overwatch, there’s gotta be a good reason for Hanzo not to immediately shoot Jesse in the head.
Also an excellent opportunity to jab at the American criminal “justice” system. I Have Opinions, y’all, and I love dropping them into the text every once in a while.
So, if not the bounty, what?
Hanzo mentally shrugged. If the cowboy believed he had something, perhaps he did, but he sincerely doubted it amounted to anything. Sixty million dollars was nothing compared to being Genji’s comrade. What could possibly tempt him to ignore the debt he owed there? But he might as well try to find out what the cowboy was talking about, if he could.
“I do not know what you are referring to,” he said, making sure to lose some of the monotone in favor of a slightly confused edge.
The cowboy set his jaw for a moment. “Don’ go bullshittin’ me, Shimada,” he said in a low growl. “You told 76 everythin’ else--why wouldn’ you go the full mile, especially about that?”
[TEXT REDACTED]
Hanzo could feel his eyebrows creep together again. So it had something to do with the debriefing? Under the hot glare of the cowboy, he quickly ran over his entire conversation with the Soldier, trying to find what he had apparently left unsaid. The Soldier had been thorough about everything from the time Hanzo had arrived, to his surveillance pattern to the attack itself to all the cowboy’s negligence--
--but no, not all the cowboy’s negligence.
It was actually hard to think of a mistake for Jesse to commit--I don’t want Jesse to be an idiot or a fool in any way, shape, or form, so it was difficult to come up with something that was believable yet would make sense to someone as clever and intelligent as Jesse McCree. The key was his faith in teammates and his having spent years with no one at his side but the criminals he just bagged--lots of things make sense when you’re alone versus when you’re working in a team, and he’s rusty.
His expression cleared. Of course. Hanzo had omitted the detail where he had attempted to warn the cowboy about the likely schedule of the Yoneyama, a key piece of information that could have cut their numbers in half at the beginning of the battle, as well as greatly delayed the arrival of reinforcements. It was the cowboy’s fault that Overwatch had dropped in just in time to find themselves sandwiched between defenders and attackers, an unenviable position. It occurred to Hanzo that had they arrived a few minutes later still, both shifts of Yoneyama guards would have been clustered around the warehouse, possibly able to retreat into and double the fortifications of the warehouse, and who knew how that would have affected the final result.
Hanzo had not failed to mention this to the Soldier by choice--it had simply not occurred to Hanzo to say anything about it, possibly due to his disturbed state of mind, and the Soldier’s questions had not moved in that direction. Perhaps he, too, had been distracted, by Hanzo knowing next to nothing about the team.
If this was the “dirt”, then it truly amounted to nothing--it was merely a small addendum on the rest of the cowboy’s actions. Hanzo was surprised the cowboy thought it of any note, to be honest. Perhaps the Soldier had been pushed to the very edge by Hanzo’s report--he had certainly seemed to be building towards some near-apocalyptic rage when Hanzo had fled outside--and the cowboy had only barely avoided some enormous consequence by the skin of his teeth.
More likely, Hanzo decided, the cowboy suspected that he had been searching for something to discredit him, something he could blackmail him with. The thought almost made him snort. What use would that be? Overwatch was already overlooking a sixty million dollar bounty--in the face of that, what could Hanzo, half-agent and murderer, possibly say or do that could shake that apparently unflappable trust the organization had in the cowboy? However--
You’d be surprised, Hanzo.
Hanzo felt his back loosen marginally, noting that he had unconsciously began to curl forward slightly as he had been thinking. But now he could relax, just a little, because now he had a fix on the cowboy’s odd behavior from the moment Hanzo had dumped him next to his comrades at the warehouse.
After the near-disastrous battle, he knew that Hanzo’s report would inevitably result in short-term censure, but his position in Overwatch was secure overall, so he had feigned nervousness in an attempt to see what Hanzo would do if he was under the impression that he had some leverage against him. If Hanzo were more easily duped, he might have pounced on that leverage and tried to use it to some end or other, but the cowboy could then reveal the attempt in order to cast doubt on Hanzo himself, if more doubt was possible.
Clever. Very clever. Hanzo could barely refrain from shaking his head wryly as he evenly returned the cowboy’s glare. When he had first met him, it had been hard to believe that he had been part of a black ops organization for any amount of time, but Hanzo had been wise not to let his wild, ruffled, unkempt appearance deceive him. He was turning out to be something of an opponent.
I love having Hanzo respect Jesse for all the wrong reasons. I LOVE IT.
Hanzo felt his lips curve ever so slightly at the thought. An opponent, but in a game of what, exactly? Hanzo had nothing to lose except his life, after all, and even that already belonged to another, if only he would exercise that right.
Whatever the game was, though, Hanzo had little interest in playing.
Here comes the nuclear bomb.
He made a slight show of relaxing, arranging his knees into a slightly more comfortable position before speaking. “Agent McCree, it would change nothing if I went to the Soldier to amend my report,” he said, letting his face drop into an almost bored expression.
The cowboy, on the other hand, looked surprised. “What d’you mean by that, exactly?” he asked after a moment.
Hanzo gave a tiny sigh. The cowboy was his handler, so if he wanted to continue the game, Hanzo would be forced to participate, even minimally--but surely both men had better things to do with their time. Hanzo considered for a moment, before looking around them. The air was beginning to chill and leach the warmth from his skin as their surroundings darkened. If the branches above did not block the view, the first stars might have been visible in the blueblack sky. “How openly may I speak here? Are we secure?”
The cowboy frowned, looking a bit thrown by the question. “We’re--secure,” he said. “Mercy and Athena’re keepin’ an eye on the drones.” A look of understanding dawned then, and he lowered his voice almost to a growl again. “So say what you gotta say. Nothin’ and no one will overhear.”
Hanzo rather doubted that, but the alternative was going back into the safehouse, where the Soldier or the doctor were much more likely to overhear what, in the end, only the cowboy needed to know.
“You do not trust me,” he said without preamble. “You believe Overwatch should not trust me, that much is obvious. Did the Soldier tell you that I agree with you?” The cowboy sucked in a breath through his nose, which was all Hanzo allowed before he continued. Best to speak quickly, now.
“I defended your actions to him. You wished to protect your teammates from me, a proven danger. You are right to do this. I would do the same in your place. I would, perhaps, do more.” The cowboy’s eye twitched, and Hanzo smiled wanly. “In the end, however, it is unnecessary. There is absolutely nothing for me to gain by betraying Overwatch. There might be some riches, of course, but what use are riches without honor? And there is only one source of honor since I raised my--raised arms against Genji. And he will provide it, once he comes to his senses.”
“What?” the cowboy muttered, face closed, eyes narrowed.
Hanzo did not bother to hide his sigh. “The doctor tells me,” he said quietly, “that for whatever reason, he has only recently been blinded by this idea that forgiveness will suffice. It will not. You must only wait for his vision to clear, as I am.
“You worry for his safety when it does, of course, but he has defeated me each time we have met since he revealed himself. I have no doubt he will again, when he is ready.” The words were only a little forced, despite Hanzo’s pride. Even now, it sought to rise up and rage against the notion of his brother besting him, a bitter reminder that the past was not truly past. “We only need to tolerate each other for a little while, cowboy. I truly do not expect it to be long. There is nothing to do except indulge him until then. If he wishes for me to serve Overwatch while I wait for him to remember his right, so be it.”
This whole scene came from “We only need to tolerate each other for a little while, cowboy. I truly do not expect it to be long.” I originally put it near the beginning of their conversation, and the rest of the scene grew around it. I had to work to make it believable for Hanzo to be so frank with Jesse.
He paused, considering. “Also,” he mused slowly, “It was Overwatch that saved his life. I assume so, from what the doc--from what Mercy has said?” The cowboy nodded slowly. “Then I owe Overwatch, regardless of Genji’s wishes. Because of them, Genji lives, and so does this chance at redemption.”
At the word redemption , the cowboy stiffened, and his flesh hand went to cover the breast pocket of his flannel shirt. Hanzo gave no sign that he noticed, keeping his eyes fixed on the cowboy’s face. “Why tell me this?” he breathed out, as if he could not help himself.
I’m looking forward to revealing what’s in his pocketses. I knew it was going to be Something, but I didn’t decide exactly what it was until I watching @nimpnawakproduction‘s art stream as she very generously drew out this scene. She asked what was in there, and right then and there it just came to me what it going to be.
Hanzo huffed. “You fear my intentions, for Genji and Overwatch. This has been clear from the beginning. So there they are, laid bare.”
“And you think I’ll just step--” the cowboy seemed almost to choke on his words, but Hanzo would continue if he would not.
“Step aside?” The cowboy flinched , and Hanzo, in spite of himself, rolled his eyes. “ Yes , cowboy. I believe even you can appreciate the convenience, even the elegance, of allowing a problem to resolve itself.”
I’m really proud of this line. Hanzo is revealing a little bit of his newfound respect for Jesse in the most passive aggressive possible--but he doesn’t know he might as well have just gutshot Jesse.
Silence. The cowboy kept his hand over his pocket, staring, almost squinting at Hanzo through the deepening gloom.

Ways to improve your diversity recruiting strategy
Most recruiters and managers would agree that various teams help companies be more innovative, creative and achieve better results. You don’t even need to check out the stats (of which there are many) to understand intuitively that diversity recruiting contributes to a far better overall performance.
1. Audit your job ads
One of the simplest ways to recruit diverse candidates is to try an audit of your past recruitment ads and make changes to talk to a broader range of candidates. you'll notice that a number of the languages you employ are more geared toward a selected demographic of experience level. If this is often the case, find ways to be more inclusive in your language to appeal to candidates from different backgrounds.
Don’t be afraid to write down job ads with specific demographics in mind to spice up your diversity recruiting strategy. Let your target candidates know that you’re seeking them out, and explain why your company would make an excellent fit.
2. Target sources where diverse candidates congregate
A great thanks to making sure that your talent pool is filled with diverse candidates is to source your candidates from the spread of various places. Don’t believe an equivalent source over and once again when seeking out new candidates. Focusing on only the sources that you simply know best may result during a talent pool of comparable candidates and a scarcity of diversity.
Instead, hunt down opportunities to source diverse candidates where they typically hang around . for instance, there are many online and offline groups dedicated to women in technology. this might be an excellent source to satisfy and connect with high caliber female candidates directly, rather than expecting them to seek out you through platforms like Indeed. The more you're taking the initiative to seek out these channels, the more likely it's that your talent pools are going to be diverse.
3. Encourage your diverse employees to refer their connections
Members of your team will likely have networks of individuals with similar backgrounds to them. Creating a various candidate referral program may be a good way to both boost your diversity recruitment strategy, and showcase that your company values different backgrounds and concepts.
If you're looking to rent more of a selected group of individuals, reach bent a number of the workers already on your team who are a part of that demographic. Encourage them to share your job ads with their networks, and provides them the tools they have to market the corporate for you. Your employees and candidates will both feel that your company values their opinions and presence, which is astounding for overall team morale and engagement.
4. Offer internships to targeted groups
Many companies have started internal diversity programs that provide internship and co-op positions to candidates from specific backgrounds. this is often an excellent thanks to encouraging up and coming candidates in your industry to hitch your team and obtain experience.
To accomplish this, reach bent schools and community groups in your area to work out opportunities to form connections with students. Often, communities will have their programs to encourage growth, and teaming up with those initiatives may be a good way to offer back while also taking advantage of new and diverse talent.
5. Develop an employer brand that showcases your diversity
Perhaps the simplest thanks to boosting diversity in your candidate sourcing are to organically create an employer brand that values people and opinions from all walks of life. mention the advantages and importance of diversity together with your team, get their stock and ingrain those values into your company culture.
As you are doing this, you'll begin to develop an employer brand that's known for valuing diversity. Encourage employees to speak about this a part of your business. Record their stories, and incorporate that a part of your corporate personality into how you promote your employer brand. Diverse candidates will hunt down companies who truly value those ideals, and developing organically is that the only thanks to truly reap those benefits.
6. Create company policies that appeal to diverse candidates
It’s one thing to say that you simply value diverse recruiting strategies and teams, but it’s quite another to truly live those values daily. That’s why it’s so important to proactively implement company policies that appeal to diverse candidates.
Consider changing some time off and scheduling policies to incorporate more religious holidays, community events, and so on. Encourage flexible work hours which will allow candidates to continue being involved in their communities, and not require them to evolve to a cookie-cutter schedule in the least times.
It’s also important for management teams to encourage employees to talk up if they think certain policies are hindering diversity in any way. People’s individual biases will always be an element in how they perceive and navigate the workplace, so it’s important to encourage open and honest dialogue to make sure everyone feels welcome.
Having these policies in situ, and actively promoting them in your sourcing, maybe a good way to make sure your diversity recruiting strategy is running because it should be.
Increasing diversity in candidate screening
If you discover that your diversity recruiting strategy is bringing during a nice sort of candidates, but you’re struggling to eliminate bias in how you screen them, then you ought to consider a number of these tactics.
7. Use blind resumes
An increasingly popular technique recruiters are using to get rid of bias from how they screen candidates is to “blackout” any and every one personal information on resumes. Information like names, schools, date of birth, specific locations, then on can all contribute to a point during a biased assessment of the candidate, albeit it’s not done consciously.
8. Use blind interviews
Blind interviews use an equivalent principle as blacking out resumes to scale back bias, but apply this tactic to early conversations with the candidate. they will be accomplished by sending candidates text-based questions via text, or through your recruitment platform of choice. Candidates answer these questions anonymously and are asked to avoid providing personal information.
The goal here is to stay free from bias regarding who you select to interview further. It’s much tougher to get rid of all personality and bias when lecture candidates on the phone or face to face, so blind interviews are best early within the process.
9. Harness AI to review resumes
One way to make sure that you simply remove bias from your resume screening process entirely is to leverage AI technology in your ATS. Pre-program your platform to flag and filter for specific skills and knowledge, and let the AI technology analyze your candidate resumes for those parameters. this may provide you with a impartial shortlist, free from any kind of bias.
10. Rethink the factors that you simply screen
This tactic relates to your job ads audit where you rethought what you search for during a candidate and the way you ask them. A critical part of diversity recruiting is to always be questioning what traits you value most in candidates, why, and whether that’s supported your own bias.
11. Automate your shortlisting using an ATS
As mentioned above, your ATS is often wont to impartially whittle away your list to the foremost high-potential candidates. Use the screening tools included in your ATS to seek out candidates with the foremost potential and therefore the best resume of skills. this system allows you to completely remove personal opinions about specific candidates from the equation, and only specialize in the information that’s relevant to the work description. Shortlisting candidates who supported certain requirements will assist you to move towards increased diversity.
If your talent pool was diverse at the beginning of the method, then you ought to have a pleasant sort of candidate and background in your shortlist. If not, then the ultimate diversity recruiting tactic can inherit play.

Real estate agents have been around for 100 years, who will survive the next century?
New Post has been published on https://blog.mortgagebroker.pro/mortgage/real-estate-agents-have-been-around-for-100-years-who-will-survive-the-next-century/
Real estate agents have been around for 100 years, who will survive the next century?
100 years ago, the U.S. passed its first law regulating real estate licensing and the agent profession officially came to be.
At this notable milestone for real estate agents, their future is under attack. Tech startups tout big plans for a market takeover. Real estate companies with new-fangled platforms and business models joke about the agent’s extinction. The doubters are loud and in many cases well-funded. However, it’s nothing that real estate agents haven’t heard before.
To be clear, not every agent will have a seat at the table forever. The next century will usher in new technology, increasing consumer demands and housing market ups and downs. Those agents who thrive will swim with the shifting tide rather than against it. They’ll be the honest Abes, at your service and tech-equipped, ready to help a client regardless of their personal motivation to “get the listing” or cash in on a commission to pay the bills.
But to understand the future of the agent, let’s first hop in the DeLorean and go back in time.
How “real estate agent” became an actual job
The real estate agent profession didn’t form out of thin air. According to a report from the California Department of Real Estate, urbanization made negotiations over property and land between strangers more complex at the turn of the 20th century.
This created the need for an objective and knowledgeable intermediary to guide the public through the basics of a real estate transaction and help shake out a fair deal.
Around 1900, brokers started showing houses for sale. At that point, though, there were no licensing requirements and the business turned into a complete free for all. The competition in a disorganized environment bred questionable business practices and a consequential lack of trust.
This led to the first attempt at establishing real estate licensing law in 1917—which promptly failed in the courts. Finally, in 1919, the Supreme Court upheld the Real Estate Act, first adopted by California and later in some form by the remaining 50 states. (The requirement for a written examination didn’t crop up until 1923.)
Real estate agents then and now
Fast forward to 2019. The latest research shows 90% of consumers still use an agent to buy and sell their homes even as doomsday analysts predicted their extinction through the decades.
Although the real estate industry evolved with the advent of online home listings, virtual walkthroughs and iBuying, the fundamental role of the agent is the same now as it was in the 1900s: help people navigate what’s often the largest financial transaction of a lifetime.
Industry saturation
One thing industry leaders can agree on, however, is that the real estate arena is too crowded.
The Association of Real Estate License Law Officials estimates there are 2 million active real estate licensees in the U.S. The National Association of Realtors, the largest trade organization in the country, reports having 1,383,010 Realtor members as of July 2019. For comparison’s sake the insurance industry counts 1.1 million brokers and service employees, while there are 1.35 million lawyers and 1.1 million doctors in the U.S.
The barrier of entry to the agent profession remains low, which encourages people of all experience levels to give the gig a try. If you’re over 18, complete any pre-license education required by your state, and pass a written exam, you’re in business.
Making a living as an agent is more difficult. Agents work on commission and have to generate their own clients. Despite the prevailing image of the luxury agent who drives a fancy car on TV, agents make on average $47,910 a year, according to PayScale.
Although the profession has survived the test of time, the industry agrees that the concentrated pack of agents jockeying for business will thin out moving forward as lower-producing agents drop out of the mix and technology changes the game. Agents face increasing pressure to show value and adapt to the changing needs of consumers if they want to find success in the next century.
Say you ran into an all-star agent 50 years from now and asked them, “What’s your secret?” They’d no doubt talk to you about how they:
Save their clients time and hassles
Today it’s commonplace for both Mom and Dad to juggle work and home life. According to the most recent data available from the Pew Research Center, the number of dual-income households with kids under the age of 18 in the U.S. has risen from 47% in 1980 to 66% in 2015, while more than half of parents both work full time. Data from the Labor Department shows that one-third of Americans work at least 45 hours a week while 9.7 million clock more than 60.
Americans will always come up short on time, so agents who prove their ability to boost efficiencies and offer flexibility to clients will provide enormous value.
Imagine the agent who:
Hosts virtual showings from the office so that buyers can rule out unsuitable properties faster and sellers only see serious buyers book a tour.
Connects clients with an AI chatbot that matches them with available properties based on their preferences, narrowing down their list of “maybes.”
Ditches the combination lock box and embraces self-guided tour technology akin to Rently or ShowMojo, which have become popular self-guided showing tools in the rental space. This could open up a property’s showings hours, accommodate more buyers, and secure an offer on a house faster.
Manages paperwork with digital closing and escrow tools and sets up the client with video notarization software so they can skip the trip to the bank.
Uses blockchain-enabled smart contracts to encrypt sensitive client information.
Accepts cryptocurrency on current listings.
As technology solutions mature and go mainstream, successful agents will lean into the Ritz Carlton white glove service and know when to let tech step in and do what they can do faster and better.
Take agent Ryan Lidholm, an agent of just three years who’s already climbed to the top 1% of his market. For one of his listings this year, he handled the home’s cosmetic repairs, took amazing drone photos of the land, and sold his clients’ Missouri home in eight days.
All the while, these clients roamed the U.S. in an RV. Email updates were all the sellers wanted and Lidholm kept them posted while he coordinated every step. Agents who take ownership of the deal and give clients’ hours back in their day aren’t going anywhere.
Integrate online and offline marketing
In 2013, marketing professionals surveyed by Adobe said they believed that marketing had “changed more in the past two years than the previous 50.” Five years later and the pace of innovation hasn’t slowed. Marketers have hundreds of channels to choose from.
Big platforms roll out new algorithm changes, designs, and features every day. In 2019 alone, Google+ sunsetted, the video-sharing app TikTok reported 500 million users and Facebook restricted ad targeting for housing and credit ads.
Real estate agents who can’t keep up with the changes or fail to leverage these powerful platforms for their clients’ business won’t make the cut. They’ll need to use video to capture a condo’s best views, or use Facebook Live to give virtual house tours. Early adopters who aren’t afraid to tackle emerging platforms that no one above the age of 18 has heard of will stick around.
Gary Vaynerchuk, who bought the keyword “wine” for 10 cents on Google AdWords, built a huge YouTube audience, and started using Snapchat before it was cool, preaches this “get in early” advice to anyone who’s trying to connect with people, generate clients, and create a brand.
At the same time, agents will still need to balance out the marketing mix with multiple offline tactics. Take the agent who creatively helped to sell the mansion of a motivated luxury seller.
She threw an event where she displayed her company’s latest collection of diamonds, which ultimately attracted a rare buyer from London.
The agent of tomorrow knows when to post a giphy and when to party like Gatsby.
Push creative bounds, but avoid tasteless stunts
The web is a noisy place, and some agents have taken risks and found success with out-of-the-box ideas: giant T-Rex costumes in listing photos; selling a suburban house, sex dungeon and all; or paying $50,000 for a video that spoofs “Teach me How to Dougie.”
But the internet is also unforgiving. An agent who could once recover from a media slip up or comment in poor taste can’t just fade into anonymity. Instead, they will face a more or less permanent track record on Google and suffer repercussions from their broker who is upheld to an equal standard from the public.
Team Denver Homes thought its July 2019 “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” rap video would drum up positive attention. Instead people saw the lyrics they chose to insert as glorifying gentrification.
The overseeing independent brokerage, Kentwood Real Estate, cut ties with the top-selling team after the video was released, saying in a statement to local Denver media outlet 9News: “We have a 38-year record of being an inclusive, equitable, professional and empathetic culture.”
Brokerages and teams who prioritize diversity and consult others who challenge their own ways of thinking will be in a better position to prevent these flubs from ever happening and help separate creative ideas from offensive ones.
Throw out ‘always be closing’ for ‘always be advocating’
Whether real estate agents should be thought of as trusted advisors or salespeople is a time-honored conversation in the industry.
As consumers give more weight to unskewed agent performance metrics and transparent client reviews available online, the agents of the future will have to prioritize service over sales. They won’t be able to “cheat” the system with quick and dirty tactics. If they rush a buyer to make an offer or give a seller an inflated price to “win” the listing, that karma will come back around.
The top performing agents will tailor the solution they provide to the client’s needs. They’ll be able to identify which upgrades will yield the highest returns, connect clients with the best contractors in town even though nothing’s in it for them, tell a buyer that a house is out of their budget, or even step away from the sale and recommend alternative routes if a market process won’t serve the client well.
Work in harmony with iBuyers and home trade-in solutions
Say a client has to move swiftly for a job relocation or is stressed over how to time the sale of their current house with the purchase of a new one. Agents who become experts on all of a client’s available options will add value and find purpose even in a changing real estate landscape.
They’ll come from a place of knowledge in the greater industry to say things such as: “Have you heard of the alternative financing options available today? I know a company that will buy the house you want and put it on reserve for you. Would you like more info?” Or “Since you’re in Atlanta, you should see what Opendoor would bid on your house. Here’s how iBuying works. I can refer you.”
Agents will remain a first point of contact for many real estate consumers and those connections will help support ancillary businesses in the space. Agents should take advantage of the opportunity to earn money on the referral while knowing they put the interests of their client first.
The century of the agent
100 years of agents. Let that sink in a minute.
From the Great Depression to the 2008 financial crisis, from country roads to a sophisticated highway system that paved the way for the suburbs, from word of mouth listings to Zillow.com, real estate agents were there.
They’ve shuttled buyers from house to house, entered vacant homes at their own risk, and given tough love to many a seller on an unrealistic price. They’ve called contractors and scrubbed bathtubs and made store runs to pick up a new shower curtain in time for the open house. They have, over the course of an entire century, helped people of all walks of life buy and sell homes.
Happy centennial birthday, real estate agents. May you take on the next 100 years with the same scrappiness, adaptability, and heart that you have shown since 1919.

The 6 little-known ways Facebook is changing health care
At this time last year, news leaked that Facebook had presented an ambitious plan to health care organizations aimed at connecting patients' health care data to their social media presences. Today, that's been put on pause. But is the company done in health care? Here's six reasons that may not be true.
Cheat sheets: The new and emerging technologies you should know
Remember Facebook's patient data-matching plan?
In 2017, Facebook presented an aggressive plan to health care providers: Providers would provide anonymized patient data (on illnesses, prescriptions, etc
) to Facebook which the company would, in turn, match with the patient's social media data. The goal was to provide a greater picture of patients' lives outside of the hospital—informing decisions like, for example, who would benefit from extra outreach after surgery.
New infographic: How to prepare for your technological journey
And, despite later backlash, the idea seemed to be gaining traction. According to CNBC, Facebook had spoken to many leading health care organizations, including "major U.S. hospitals," Stanford Medical School, and the American College of Cardiology, about the project.
But momentum on the project fizzled out shortly after the Cambridge Analytics scandal, when the world found out that 87 million users' data had been shared without their knowledge and used for targeting political ads.
Since the scandal, Facebook hasn't made any major health care announcements—but that doesn't mean the company is done with the industry altogether. Rather, they've been quietly pursuing several health care projects (though they aren't all without their controversies).
How Facebook is slowly moving into health care
Outside of online advertising—which the company has heavily pursued for pharmaceutical companies—Facebook's main entryway into the health care industry is its AI capabilities. Facebook in 2018 announced that it planned to double the size of its Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) group, which, according to the company is focusing "on open and foundational research that advances the state of AI." Here are six ways Facebook is leveraging AI to improve health care.
1. Improving the MRI. In August, the company launched a pilot project with the NYU School of Medicine aimed at using AI to make MRI scans up to 10 times faster. The project, called fastMRI, will test ways to generate an MRI image using less raw MRI data. Scans currently range from 15 minutes to over an hour in order to gather the necessary data in the proper order to create an image. But Facebook believes it can collect less data and train AI to fill in the blanks to accelerate the time it takes to generate a scan.
2. Enhancing facial recognition. Another area where Facebook seems to have an edge in AI is with facial recognition. The company has focused on tools that, for example, can reconstruct partially-hidden human faces, or generate fake eyes that can be edited into an image if the subject has blinked. Obviously, most of these efforts have been aimed at improving photo posting on the site, but the company is also potentially considering health care applications for this technology. For instance, facial recognition software has already been used to accurately predict physiological health, track patients through the hospital, measure their pain or even for hospital security. Facebook could use AI to offer even more. Still, it will have to overcome privacy hurdles, including a class-action lawsuit over its use of the technology on the site.
Learn about the Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem
3. Connecting the brain and computer. In more futuristic plans, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg during a recent discussion at Harvard spoke about a brain-computer interface his company has been researching. According to Wired, the technology Zuckerberg described is a "shower-cap-looking device" that aims to identify connection between certain thoughts and brain activity. The end product would allow a person to "type" by thinking. In 2017, Facebook said they were working with scientists at UC San Francisco, UC Berkley, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis on the telepathic project, which could prove useful in health-related experiments, like connecting brain waves to move prosthetics.
4. Building its own Alexa. Facebook just last week confirmed it is working on its own AI-based digital voice assistant to compete with Amazon's Alexa and Google Assistant. Facebook in 2013 acquired the technology company Oculus VR and will work to incorporate voice and AI assistants into Oculus' products. While it's not yet clear whether Facebook will seek to introduce its voice assistant into the health care industry, Amazon earlier this month announced its Alexa Skills Kit now allows certain HIPAA-covered entities to build Alexa skills that can share and receive protected health information. Six health care companies—including Atrium Health, Boston Children's Hospital, and Cigna—already are testing HIPAA-compliant Alexa skills, suggesting the industry is ripe for competition.
5. Expanding suicide prevention. Facebook also has deployed AI for suicide prevention efforts, aiming to build models to predict when someone may commit suicide (and especially to prevent suicides from being streamed on their live video platform). The company's AI mines users' posts and comments for language that may indicate possibly suicidality, and alerts law enforcement if they sense an imminent threat of self-harm. Within the first year of launching this tool, Facebook said they had contacted about 100 local law enforcement officials about users. In November, they said that number had increased to 3,500 over a year—marking about 10 contacts to emergency responders per day—and that they had at least 7,500 community operations staffers reviewing cases of potential suicide every day.
However, these efforts have been controversial. While some have praised the efforts, calling them "ahead of the pack," others have criticized the opacity of Facebook's AI system. John Torous, director of the digital psychiatry division at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, said, "It's hard to know what Facebook is actually picking up on, what they are actually acting on, and are they giving the appropriate response to the appropriate risk." Mason Marks, a research fellow at Yale Law School and NYU Law School, wondered if the model may cause people to "fear a visit from the police, so they may pull back and not engage in an open and honest dialogue."
6. Advancing global population health. Facebook also waded into global humanitarian projects by using AI to map population density in Africa. They say the initiative has already supported government and nonprofit organizations in their health efforts, including coordinating a measles vaccination campaign in Malawi. They also launched a blood donation tool on the site in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh—though critics argued the tool could launch a black market for blood.
Facebook must overcome troubled past to gain trust in health care
While these health care efforts suggest Facebook may have bigger plans for health care, the company first will have to build up more user trust in their data privacy and clearly define parameters for how the patient data they collect could be shared with advertisers.
How to create a consumer-focused digital strategy
One major concern is that, while the company gets users' permission to collect a broad range of data, that doesn't necessarily mean that users expect or consent for it to be used in medical research or projects. As Aneesh Chopra, president of health software company CareJourney and the former White House chief technology officer said after news of Facebook's hospital patient data matching plan leaked, even if patient data was anonymized, "Consumers wouldn't have assumed their data would be used in this way."
Plus, in addition to the Cambridge scandal, Facebook has faced a number of other privacy scandals related to health. For instance, it's faced growing backlash over its handling of patient support groups. Last April, Facebook was grilled by lawmakers over its handling of the private medical data generated from these groups. In February, congressional leaders sent a letter to Zuckerberg summoning him to speak about reports that Facebook sold data about users' health-related group memberships to advertisers. The letter charges that Facebook's group policies left users open to bullying, vulnerable to predatory advertisements, and could have even impacted their health insurance options. A complaint by the FTC alleged similar charges, saying, "Sharing of privately posted personal health information violates the law, but this serious problem with Facebook's privacy implementation also presents an ongoing risk of death or serious injury to Facebook users."
Other controversies have arisen based on health and wellness apps selling personal information to Facebook. The Wall Street Journal conducted an investigation of 70 leading apps, and found that at 11 sent potentially controversial information to Facebook (including users' heart rates and ovulation tracking—even if they didn't have a Facebook account). Facebook responded that "sharing information across apps on your iPhone or Android device is how mobile advertising works and is industry standard practice," but the issue is far from settled. The company is now being investigated in a federal criminal investigation for letting tech companies see user's friends, contact, and other data.
Zuckerberg has admitted publically in congressional testimony that Facebook does collect some medical data from users. In a recent editorial, he called for greater privacy regulation and suggested that there "should be a way to hold companies such as Facebook accountable by imposing sanctions when we make mistakes."
But, despite these moves to rebuild their reputation for data privacy, the company has almost certainly damaged its reputation, likely greatly impinging their ability to gain the trust of health care consumers any time soon. According to a Fortune poll from November 2018, only 22% of Americans trust Facebook with their personal data, half as many who said the same for Amazon (49%), Google (41%), Microsoft (40%), and Apple (39%).
And, as Advisory Board's Peter Killbridge and Andrew Rebhan note, if providers choose to partner with them, they'll have to ensure that privacy is paramount, collection is secure, and that data is stored with the "same rigor as other, more standard protected health information."

TAI Robotic – Best Semi Automated Trading Software For Beginners
TAI Robotic aka TAI Robotic Trend Indicator Software by Alex Knecht is a new trading system in the industry that has been launched recently and gain the attention of people from all around the world. Many people are hailing TAI Robotic Indicator Software as being the most advanced foreign exchange trading tool on the market today.
It is not secret that Forex trading, which stands for foreign exchange or the trading of currency pairs, is very lucrative. People can make really good money in this market avenue. But does TAI Robotic really perform well or is it yet another standard scam? Before you invest your hard earned money into it, please read this full and investigative review of TAI Robotic Software to evaluate the possibilities.
What Is TAI Robotic? – Long Story Short
TAI Robotic Indicator software is a very sophisticated type of foreign exchange trading tool created by Alex Knecht. At its most basic, TAI Robotic Trading Software is a fully automated trading service, a semi-automated tool, as well as a social trading platform. All of these aspects are wrapped into one big powerhouse of a Forex trading platform.
TAI stands for Trading Artificial Intelligence, so TAI Robotic allegedly uses artificial intelligence to generate trading signals. The best part, it is not just reliant on AI (Artificial Intelligence). It is also supervised by a team of trading experts who check the market for its “sentiment”.
According to the creators they are using the very same technology, which recently has been used into the car industry. Where a car can drive up to 90 MPH without a driver, forecasting all variables on the road. Pixels, that’s the key, those type of algorithms are forecasting all possible outcomes by reading the patterns.
This sounds too good to be true and we decide to investigate this trading software using our 5 factors to determine a SCAM.
Unfortunately, TAI Robotic Trading Software is not available in all GEOs/Countries. If you reside in countries where TAI Robotic Software is limited or during Sign Up you get error message No Broker Found in Your Region then try below Software. Identity Check – Who Is Alex Knecht & John Doe?
According to the presentation video, Alex Knecht is the creator of the TAI Robotic Auto Trader, but it is presented to us by a paid actor named “John Doe” which is not his real name. Nowadays most of the software creators prefer to stay in the shadows. That’s why they create a fictitious character by a paid actor or stock photo with a fabricated name who present the software and claim to be the creator of the software. We never recommend these types of software to our followers. Because if anything goes wrong you cannot make a complaint to authorities for an anonymous software/creator.
But in case of TAI Robotic, John Doe CONFIRMS AND ACCEPTS TO BE A PAID ACTOR! He was hired because Alex, the real creator, could not perform in front of a camera. This fact caught our attention which is a very unusual, yet very honest and transparent behavior from the people behind the TAI Robotic System. Plus, Alex who is a software developer and expert on Artificial Intelligence, appears during the video explaining how he used to work at creating self-driving cars for big German concern, and how he developed the TAI Robotic System with the help of some of his friends. This cleared up our hesitation and considered by us as a very legit answer.
Endorsement Check?
Everyone who’s ever had the misfortune of running into one of the auto trading scams, knows how the promotional videos of such products focus on showcasing various images of wealth and luxury. Tens of minutes go into the listing of all the things one could buy with the hypothetical profits accrued through the promoted product. Yachts are shown, fancy cars are driven by the actors hired to push the trader, and some even go as far as to stick fake logos on a corporate jet rented for filming purposes. None of that happens in the TAI Robotic Video.
Promise of Gain Check – Accuracy and Profit
As per Alex Knecht, TAI Robotic is an automated trading software, uses a specialized Artificial Intelligence Algorithm that correctly predicts winning trades on the stock market. It can’t predict every trade, but the program is supposed to be stable enough to generate signals with an very high accuracy rate. But do we have any proof?
Fortunately Yes! We have made a deep research in Google regarding TAI Robotic and found that this trading software is highly reviewed and recommended on a number of reputable Forex websites. Please check below some of the Live Testing Results from other reviewers. Their results are positive and all are happy to recommend TAI Robotic.

Broker Check – Who Will Manage Our Fund?
What happens when you register? First thing you will have to do after registering is to deposit money with their recommended broker and the minimum deposit amount is at least 250 in either currency USD/EUR/GBP/AUD/CAD. This minimum deposit is not a payment for the TAI Robotic Broker or Software rather trading capital that will be used for making actual investments on the software platform. This is a common industry standard and we have no problem with that.
Our concern is, What brokers would our investments be handed over to? What are the credentials of those brokers? Is there any option to change the broker? All these questions demand answers! Fortunately TAI Robotic System have all the answer.
Unlike other automated software out there that use a limited number of brokers (no more than 1-2) these guys use quite a few and even provide you with an option once you sign up to change the broker that you have been assign. This feature is unfortunately uncommon among most trading software. But its probably one of the best. Allow traders to CHOOSE a broker they can trust and trade with.
Other than that nearly all of the brokers that they have listed are actually legitimate brokers and trusted by numerous traders. Not all of them are registered, but that does not always mean that a broker can be trusted or distrusted.
Community Check – What the industry says about this service?
Usually community opinion is the highest indicator for a trading app if its good or bad. Simply because if something bad the social media will be instantly flooded with negative comments about it and no one can stop that. That’s why before start investigating any trading software, we first give a good look at social media and search engine to see what other traders and bloggers are saying about it. We are glad to inform you that apart from the few sites that blacklist all new software, simply because they want to promote their own, everyone who matters is endorsing the TAI Robotic Software. Update: Our Trading Experience With TAI Robotic?
TAI Robotic Software Trading Platform Review
After Sign Up we were assigned the broker 72 Option which we accepted and made our deposit $250. We have started trading on full auto trade mode the following day after verifying our account. It is always good to verify your account as soon as possible to make sure you don’t have any issues making a withdrawal, some brokers also won’t let you trade until you verify. Our trading hours was between 9am to 5pm UTC and trade size was 10% of our initial investment that is $25 per trade and these are our recommended settings for TAI Robotic Software. For more Tips & Tricks click here!
There are many automatic trading systems available, but not all are created equal. The largest percentage of these automatic trading systems do not give the trader any control over the settings that their system will use in performing trades on the investor’s account. But in case of Tai Robotic, you are given a number of options to limit the trading and trade amount in order to prevent your account from being drained of funds without your knowledge.
Below is a screenshot of the trading platform. Once you have access to the software which comes free, you will landed on this page.
Based on Money Management features, they divided their settings area into 2 sections – One is on the Left Sidebar and another in under Menu Preferences. In each section there are 3 main components. We have tested all of these settings and they are all very easy to grasp and operate. You have full control of your results without any real knowledge, even though you are using their signals. They offer you a door to truly experiment.
Left Sidebar Settings Area –
Trading Strategies – The software relies on two type of trading Strategies: High Frequency Trading technology and Correlation.
Risk Level – Risk Levels ensures that you get the best results. It directly responsible for the amount of signals you get per session. Obviously, fewer trades taken mean stronger trading signals on which the software acts.
Expiry time – From here you can set you preferred trading position between turbo positions (from 60 seconds to 5 minutes) and Long Term.
Preferences Menu Settings Area –
Assets Preferences – On Tai Robotic, you can trade from a wide range of currency pair and from here you can choose your preferred pair, you want to receive the signals with.
Trading Settings – In this section, you have Daily Stop Loss and Daily Investment options. By Daily Stop Loss, you can easily set loss limits so that software will auto stop on that limit. Daily Investment ensures that you control how much money software will trade/bid per day. By this two option you have always control over your funds.
Trading Amounts – Trading Amount ensures that you control how much money you bid per trade.
Our Result
Last 14 days we are using TAI Robotic in Auto Mode. Profits are quite promising. On an average we have received a winning ratio ranging between 84 and 86.71%. Daily profits it generating is between $110 to $970, which turn our initial deposit $250 into $6247. So far, we have never experienced such high grow for only 14 days of trading. Daily Investment: 100-125

After you pick the wanted features just Turn On the “Auto-Trading” Mode and don’t adjust trade amount before having 10x of your initial investment. Trading safely and wisely is usually the key ingredient for every trader’s success!
2Recommended Trading Time – 9am to 5pm UTC is considered to be the best time to trade because markets are volatile therefore you will have higher potential to generate more profits within this time frame. Also DO NOT trade on NFP days as markets are extremely volatile and unpredictable which could results you losing a lot of trades.
3Avoid Major News Events – In order to maximize your in the money ratio we strongly advise you to avoid trading during major news events also. We all know that algorithmic solutions cannot always forecast the outcome of the event because they rely on outdated information, and in some cases the released data co-relates with the forecasted one. That’s why we strongly advise you to avoid trading with any automated system 1 hour before till 1 hour after the news release.
4Auto Trading – Traders, especially beginners should only use the auto-trading mode of the software, and they should always use the most conservative settings.
5Bonuses – After fund your account, if broker rings you please DO NOT accept any bonuses or any extras that they offer! Don’t even waste your time listening to their long talk about how you can benefit from those extras. Why? The answer is very simple. Accepting bonuses from broker will lead to many issues when it comes to withdrawing money. The bonus will lock you into a volume of trades you will have to generate so that you may withdraw your money from the platform. This mostly equals to 20 or 30 times the deposit amount. Remember that bonus money is not your money, broker’s sales people are trying to trick new members into this to get their commission.
Every new software tries to bring out something unique with it. Some are genuine when they speak of novelty while others just spell out tongue twisters. With fancy sounding algorithm names (like 30 Day Challenge) and hyped up statistics, they try every tricks in the book to lure you. Once you are in their grip, they can constrict you and twist you in whatever way.

Facebook and Instagram launch US political ad labeling and archive
Facebook and Instagram launch US political ad labeling and archive
Facebook today revealed that it’s chosen not to shut down all political ads because that could unfairly favor incumbents and candidates without resources to buy pricey TV ads. Instead, it’s now launching its previously announced “paid for by” labels on political and issue ads on Facebook and Instagram in the U.S. and its publicly searchable archive of all these politics-related ads that run in the U.S. That includes ads run by news publishers or others that promote articles with political content.
The labeling won’t just apply to candidate and election ads, but those dealing with political issues such as “abortion, guns, immigration or foreign policy.” Clicking through the labels that appear at the top of these News Feed ads will lead to the archive, which isn’t backdated and will only include ads from early May 2018 and after. The archive will hold them for seven years so they can be searched by keyword or the Page that ran them. It also will display the ad’s budget, and the number of people who saw it, plus aggregated, anonymized data on their age, gender and location.
Any advertiser that wants to run political ads must now go through Facebook’s authorization process that requires them to reveal their identity and location, and advertisers will only have a week’s grace period starting today before those unauthorized will have their ads paused. Facebook plans to monitor political ads with a combination of artificial intelligence and 3,000 to 4,000 newly hired ad reviewers as part of its doubling of its security team from 10,000 to 20,000 this year.
The reviewers and AI will analyze these ads’ images, text and the outside websites to which they point to look for political content. They’ll seek to avoid bias in classification by following guidelines on what constitutes one of 20 political issues from the decades-running Comparative Agendas Project. Users also may report unlabeled ads, which will then be reviewed, paused and archived if they’re deemed political. Their buyer will then be required to go through the authorization process before they can buy more.
A look at ads run by Donald Trump’s official page inside Facebook’s new political ad archive
As part of work with Facebook’s new commission investigating social media’s impact on elections, it plans to provide a database available via a forthcoming API that will let watchdog groups, academics and researchers review how ads are being used. These tools will open to other countries in the following months, and Facebook plans to make all ads visible to everyone through a tool launching in June that’s now testing in Ireland and Canada.
Facebook’s chief product officer Chris Cox writes that “We hope that in aggregate these changes will be a big step to improve the quality of civic engagement in our products, and to keep the public discourse strong.”
Facebook held a conference call to discuss the launch with reporters this morning. Unfortunately it was timed to end just 15 minutes before the news went out, limiting the ability of journalists to write timely, in-depth coverage. You can listen to that call below:
Concerns with Facebook’s push for ad transparency
While the labels and archive are good steps toward transparency, there are still a number of problems with the program. Most specifically, the political action committees and organizations that often fund political ads can have confusing or misleading names that obscure their true purpose. Simply listing those organizations in the Paid For By labels or archive won’t necessarily give users a lot of information about who the people behind the money are unless they’re willing to go digging across the internet themselves.
An example of a “Paid for by” label on an Instagram ad
For example, the notorious conservative political donors the Koch brothers funnel cash through a PAC called Prosperity Action to fund Republican candidates like Paul Ryan. Seeing an ad was paid for by Prosperity Action wouldn’t immediately inform most Americans. On the other side, ads to displace Paul Ryan have been bought by a Page called Stand Up America, which many might not immediately know is an anti-Trump group. If Facebook wants to truly give citizens a better understanding of where these political ads come from, it needs to add more info about the donors and political leanings behind PACs and other big spenders.
[Update: After requesting clarification about exactly who and what should appear in the “paid for by” section of ads and the archive, a Facebook spokesperson told me that the Page admin who purchases the ad chooses who to disclose as having paid. Facebook requires that this disclosure info be complete and accurate, and that advertisers follow applicable laws. But that still seems to allow advertisers to cite some shell organization or donor group name that could obscure where the money really comes from.]
Another issue is who will have access to the archive API, since the Cambridge Analytica scandal all started with an academic researcher accessing Facebook data.
One interesting new learning from today is that news publishers’ articles that deal with political issues and are promoted in ads will need the disclosures too. “Any ad that has political content on Facebook going forward will require authorization, labeling, and archiving regardless of who’s running it,” said Facebook Director of Public Policy Steve Satterfield, who notes Facebook is in dialogue with different ad buyers “including news publishers.” While that might seem like overkill if The Wall Street Journal promotes a story regarding one of President Trump’s policy changes in hopes of adding subscribers, not supporting him, the genesis of highly partisan Facebook-specific news sources necessitates there be no loophole for avoiding labeling.
“We won’t always get it right. We know we’ll miss some ads and in other cases we’ll identify some we shouldn’t,” writes Satterfield and Facebook’s Global Politics and Government Outreach Director Katie Harbath. But Harbath described on the call how even though all the monitoring of political ads will cost more than the revenue the company earns from them, Facebook felt it necessary to “make sure people have a way to express themselves and engage in political discourse in a transparent way.”
(function(d, s, id) var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = ‘https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v3.0’; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));
Ads With Political Content
Posted by Facebook on Thursday, May 24, 2018
Self-policing in this manner could reduce the urgency of calls to pass the Honest Ads Act that was unveiled last year to bring online advertising disclosures in line with those for television, though Congress has yet to hold a hearing about.
“These changes won’t fix everything, but they will make it a lot harder for anyone to do what the Russians did during the 2016 election and use fake accounts and pages to run ads,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg concluded. “I hope they’ll also raise the bar for all political advertising online.”
These are the exact kind of tools and labels Facebook should have offered as soon as it began touting its ability to influence elections with its ads more than a half decade ago. But with the mid-term elections approaching alongside races around the world, they’re better late than never.
