eion/ross anon again hello!! i've gone so long without thinking of them but i just went back to the oracle podcast to listen the other day and saw the bonus episode and SCREAMS

u know how movies like saltburn and stoker and the power of the dog or the talented mr ripley are about vampires without ever showing a single vampire? i feel like that's what ross is, ya know? he's a loser vampire who was turned to this life by eion, and now he's floundering and tired and a mess, bc he's in denial about being drained dry... maybe if he manages to find someone and drain them dry, he'll win, like you said. except he can't!! (but also kudos to jlh and alessandra, both of them killing it in acting while this loser just. very much sucks. heh. like a vampire.) bc eion took it outta him. there's nothing there anymore.

you know what's very interesting about the analogy of the vampire as it relates to ross/eion is that we as a culture kind of accept that vampires as a concept or as a literal creature have at least Some sort of Knowingness about themselves. like even if they entertain the deeper questions of what it Means to be a vampire (like louis in IWTV) or they just Accept their status without tons of introspection (WWDITS) there's an implicit assumption that the vampire Knows that he's a vampire. because what else are you supposed to conclude if you're draining people dry left and right?

what's upsetting is that i truly believe eion is a vampire that doesn't know he's a vampire, and that very likely the damage he causes is all Normal to him. which probably speaks to a larger trauma (call me!! lol), but i believe that eion has probably had these vampiric relationships with people a lot and just never internalized the fact that he himself was the one that drained situations and changed dynamics and that other people don't all the time enjoy being victims to that kind of energy. so if eion has no concept that what he does is What It Is then he created a dynamic with ross wherein tons of harm is being caused and none of it can be named or understood because if that happens 1) the relationship would have to end because eion would never change 2) ross would have to forego his wants/needs 5ever because he Chooses to engage with someone who he knows will never change.

so ross is turned whether he likes it or not by a vampire who doesn't know he's a vampire, so ross probably can't self-identify himself as one either. and in those examples you mentioned i think it bears mentioning that almost All of those characters have the vampiric knowingness i mentioned as it pertains to their own nature and their own goals, which i don't think ross ever could. i think he's been a vampire to people himself, but again he doesn't see that he's doing it because to him that's Love. the vampires primary relationship to love also being a relationship to consumption and to death also bear mentioning lol

Dancing with our hands tied - even if the lyrics don’t create perfect parallels, I think the main theme of the song being two people that want to be together, but feel their relationship has a lot of baggage would fit them well. Yrene has to get over her hate for Adarlan (even though she has every every every right to hate Adarlan) and Chaol has to get over *himself*. “I, I loved you in spite of Deep fears that the world would divide us So, baby, can we dance Oh, through an avalanche? And say, say that we got it I'm a mess, but I'm the mess that you wanted”.

August - if I’m being honest this song fits them too not my fave song from folklore being for my least favorite couple in this story but if I gave Feylin some of my all time favorites I can give this one to them, but like “But I can see us lost in the memory August slipped away into a moment in time 'Cause it was never mine And I can see us twisted in bedsheets August sipped away like a bottle of wine 'Cause you were never mine Your back beneath the sun Wishin' I could write my name on it” Even though Chaol was ready to leave it all for her (he would literally cancel plans.. his life plans in case she’d call) she knew that this was an impossibility, their time was brief and it slipped away like a bottle of wine. She could never be his, because she was not entirely herself with him being Aelin meant opening up a lot of things and if Chaol had a hard time getting past a lot of Celaena’s traits then we can imagine the work, literally work he would have to do to accept Aelin... you know what, we don’t have to imagine it... it’s right there in QoS and ToD, anywho, he could never write his name on her back because she was never his, because he did not accept her for all that she was. 

Aelin x Dorian x Chaol:

Disclaimer:  These reactions are just my own personal thoughts and opinions about how I think the members would react.  Hope you enjoy!

Renjun:  He’s such a soft bunny.  I just think he’s the type of person who really appreciates affection and emotional attachment.  Like I think he truly cherishes his friends.  It would make him so happy to know that he meant that much to you, and he would take his role as your best friend very seriously.  When you told him, I think he would have a somewhat serious expression as he contemplated his role as your best friend, feeling slightly pressured by the new title.  But he would quickly brush those feelings away, realizing how special it was that he was that important to you, especially since he felt the same.

Jeno:  I see him as both a protective manly-man and a shy muffin lol.  He would probably be unsure of your relationship, wondering if you had feelings for him, wondering if he liked you too...  I think Jeno would always wonder if your closeness was maybe something more, and would worry knowing that sometimes, romantic feelings can negatively impact a friendship.  So having you confirm that you were simply best friends would lead him to feel relieved.  I also think he would feel a responsibility to protect you.  Like if you were being bullied or something, he would take it upon himself to try and help you.  He would take being your best friend very seriously and would always want to be the person you went to when you needed something.

Jaemin:  I swear he is low-key savage okay.  He seems like the quiet type but I feel like he’s always plotting some witty remark.  I see him saying something like “Whooooo?!  Me?!  What an excellent choice!”  But once you hit his arm in annoyance and the two of you laughed off his bad joke, he would kind of chuckle and tell you that you were his best friend too.  Like some of the older members, I don’t see him growing too emotional, because he’s used to his relationship with you and would already know you were best friends without you needing to tell him.  It wouldn’t be a new revelation for him at all.  He would play it the most cool out of all of the Dream members.

Chenle:  I really think it would just depend on the day tbh haha.  I can see him poking fun at you like Jaemin, becoming very teasing when you tell him.  He would talk about all the reasons why he’s so great and how that’s why you chose him to be your best friend.  But on the other hand, I also think he could react similarly to Renjun and become very shy about it.  He would flash his bright smile, thanking you and telling you he felt the same.  Chenle is really bubbly, and I think out of all of the members, he would be the most comfortable being best friends with a girl (I’m assuming it’s a girl who requested this haha).  He would be like a brother more than a friend.

Jisung:  He.  Would.  Be.  So.  Sweet.  About.  It.  “Who, me?”  He would probably ask, except out of genuine surprise rather than mockery like Jaemin lol.  His eyes would grow wider and he would probably look down at his hands out of shyness.  You would have to say something to comfort him, and he would smile while still looking down at his hands, unsure of what to do.  I think he would stay silent for a few moments while you have time to appreciate how adorable your best friend is.  He would then likely say something to express his appreciation for how highly you think of him, and let you know that you were also his best friend.  Once the sweet moment passed, he’d face-palm realizing how much his hyungs are going to bug him about being bffs with a girl lol.

Okay, so I’m SO sorry this took me 5ever to do omg.  I got this request 7 months ago when I made one for the 127 members.  To be honest, at the time, I wasn’t as familiar with the Dream members as I am with the older members, so I wanted to wait until I had watched more of their stuff before I made this so I actually had a better sense of what their personality is (plus I was unofficially on hiatus for months lol).  Hopefully whoever requested this sees it!!  Feel free to leave requests for me :)

Would you kindly grace us with some Stefan / Ellis headcannons?

Sorry this took 5ever anon! 

Stefan’s a year-round camper and Ellis….is not.

Ellis lives in Tennessee, right by the mountains which he swears he gonna take Stefan hiking one day.

Stefan is extremely excited by this prospect, is already looking at designer hiking boots, has completely forgotten dirt exists.

Ellis doesn’t usually visit camp for the holidays - hardly any of his siblings do except for Christmas - buuuuuuut he’s kinda probably maybe already talking to his mom about flying back.

For their two month anniversary, despite Connor’s offers of several increasingly bad ideas that would sadly probably only work on Mitchell, Stefan arranges a day of activities for him and Ellis. Ellis’s favorite was the camp-wide obstacle course the Hermes and Ares cabin helped arrange for the sole reason that it sounded so cool.

No one really gave Stefan the shovel talk like Ellis got, but sometimes he’ll turn and Clarisse will just be there. Just there. Standing. And the Aphrodite and Ares cabins are on great terms, and he’ll kinda jump and turn and attempt to hide the fact his heart almost fell out of him and say, “Oh hey Clarisse, um, what are you doing here? In the Aphrodite cabin closet? With me?” And she’ll just look at him for another long moment and say something like, “Oh nothing. I’m just here. Always watching you. Just so you know.”

And yeah lol everyone’s low\high key terrified of Clarisse but Stefan is petrified.

Other then that, he fits in surprisingly well with the Ares kids.

He helps Mark with Winona’s (Daughter of Hephaestus) birthday gift and after that basically gets the seal of approval from them.

Is basically initiated into the Ares kid gang of protection. Just imagine smol fashionably dressed unapologetically flamboyant as hell Stefan surrounded by several large, probably neon color wearing, threatening biker looking people, all of them listening with interest as he fawns over the new plot point of KUWTK or the new Marc Jacobs collection. It’s a sight tbh.

Just….don’t mess with him. He won’t do much, he’s a nice kid, and he’s now got all his siblings, some of the Hermes kids (You?? Think??? The?? Stolls??? Would??? Turn?? Down?? A?? fight?????), and the entire Ares cabin behind him. Don’t mess with Stefan, cause his boyfriend takes names and lives with equal time.

Biscuits in Australia are often hardcore sweet things with chocolate or mashmallows not these fuckin scone or damper looking baked good thingos. What do you eats biscuits with? Biscuit anon again please I have more questions. Are they dry or soft? Dense or airy? I googled them and saw the phrase biscuits and gravy and it didn’t help any I just pictured some iced vovos with gravy and got grossed out. I’m having culture shock at midnight man I haven’t even left my bedroom this is just such a strange difference?? It’s like when I went to DC one time and asked for chips with my meal and they gave me a packet of crinkle cut? I wanted like beer batter chips I was distraught

YO ANON SORRY IT TOOK 5EVER TO ANSWER YOU LOL.DISCLAIMER: I’m from the northeast in the US, and biscuits are much more a southern thing, imho, so I’m probably not the best person to ask lol. 

These are North American biscuits. I think the closest thing to compare them to is scones, which we do have here, but biscuits are way more buttery and flaky and less dense. (They’re pretty much as different from scones as cupcakes are from muffins. Similar but totally separate baked goods.)

Biscuits can be sweet or savory. You can eat them with jam and butter like you would a scone, and I like to eat them with honey. (Imho you really don’t need to put butter on biscuits bc they’re already like 95% butter.) Biscuits and gravy is really popular too, especially in the south. It’s also super common to eat them with fried chicken.

Also you can totally just eat them plain like they’re so friggin delicious BASICALLY THEY ARE A GIFT TO HUMANITY OKAY :D
