Faerghus is actually an amalgamation of various European nations. You can see this in the naming conventions of all the characters and the Kingdom itself. Here's just a few:

Faerghus is a variation of the name Fergus, a traditionally Gaelic name which means "the strongest one" or "the most masculine".

Glenn Govan Fraldarius; Glenn is a Scottish name and Govan is a Scottish town

Felix Hugo Fraldarius: Felix is a latin name meaning "lucky", and Hugo being a popular name in many European countries meaning "of the mind/of the body/of the soul" depending on where you go (fun fact, a variation/cousin of this name is Hubert).

Rodrigue Achille Fraldarius: Rodrigue is a variation of the names Rodrick and Rodrigo, meaning "famous ruler". Achille is a variation of Achilles. For the life of me though I can't find any evidence of what Fraldarius is mean to be.

Ingrid Brandl Galatea: Ingrid is a name of Scandinavian, German, and Dutch origin meaning "beloved/beautiful", Brandl being a German surname, and Galatea being the name of a nymph in Greek myth

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd: Dimitri is a name in multiple countries in Europe, and means "dedicated to Demeter". Alexandre is a variant of the Greek Alexander, meaning "defender of the people". Blaiddyd is the name of a Welsh king.

Linda Lavin (October 15, 1937 – December 29, 2024) Stage, screen and television actress and singer. Known for her roles on stage and screen, she received several awards including three Drama Desk Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Obie Awards, and a Tony Award as well as nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2010.

She made her television debut in Rhoda and had a recurring role in Barney Miller (1975–1976). She gained notoriety for playing the title role of a waitress at a roadside diner in the CBS sitcom Alice (1976–1985), a role for which she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and won two consecutive Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy. She later starred in NBC's sitcom Sean Saves the World and the CBS sitcom 9JKL and took recurring roles in the legal drama The Good Wife (2014–2015) and the sitcom B Positive (2020–2022).

In 1967, Lavin made an appearance as Gloria Thorpe in a television version of the baseball musical Damn Yankees with Phil Silvers. In 1969, Lavin married actor Ron Leibman, and by 1973, the couple had arrived in Hollywood, California. After various guest appearances on episodic television series such as The Nurses, Rhoda, Harry O, and Kaz, Lavin landed a recurring role as Detective Janice Wentworth on Barney Miller during the first and second seasons (1975–1976).

 Lavin also made numerous television appearances outside of Alice, including hosting her own holiday special for CBS, Linda in Wonderland (1980). She acted in two sitcoms, Room for Two (1992–93) and 1998's Conrad Bloom. In Room for Two, she played a mother who moved in with her daughter, played by Patricia Heaton, who has a show on a local television station. The daughter gives Lavin's character her own segment, called "Just a Thought", at the end of her program.

List of Met Galas since 2001

I've gotten a few asks for a list of Met Galas. Technically, the gala has existed since 1948, and been themed since 1973, but I started at 2001 to keep it short (there was no gala in 2000 apparently). If you're interested in every theme that's ever existed, there's a chart on Wikipedia.

Most lists online start somewhere around 2011-2013, since it wasn't covered by the press the same way before then.

Sadie Miller and Christopher Naylor return to the roles of the Fourth Doctor’s companions Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan – as originally played on TV by Elisabeth Sladen (Sadie’s mother) and Ian Marter – for their own brand-new series of full-cast audio adventures. 

A few years after leaving the TARDIS behind, journalist Sarah Jane takes an assignment that brings her back in touch with her old friend Harry, a doctor freelancing for UNIT.
