Daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and sister of Charles III

            Princess Anne (Anne Louise) is the second child of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip and their only daughter. She was born in Clarence House during the reign of her grandfather, George VI. Anne didn’t attend her mother’s coronation in 1953, due to her young age.

            In 1970, Anne was in a relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles, who later married Camilla (who is now Queen of England).  Anne married Captain Mark Phillips in 1973, who, like herself is an accomplished horse rider. The couple have two children, Peter and Zara.

            In 1974, Princess Anne and Philips were returning to Buckingham Palace from a charity event when a vehicle forced them to stop. The driver, Ian Ball, jumped out and started firing a gun. Anne’s security, James Beaton’s gun jammed and Ball shot Beaton, Anne’s chauffeur, Alex, and a tabloid worker. Ball then ran up to Anne and told her that he intended to kidnap her and hold her for ransom for millions of dollars. He told her to get out of the vehicle, she told him, "Not bloody likely!". Anne and Rowena, her lady-in-waiting got out of the vehicle, during this time a former boxer Ron intervened, called the police and punched Ball and took Anne away from the crime scene. A police officer was shot by Ball, and a detective chased and arrested Ball. All victims survived and Ball is still locked away.

            Anne allegedly had an affair with her bodyguard Sergeant Peter Cross in 1979. He later sold his story to a British newspaper. Anne’s marriage to Phillips ended in 1989 and they divorced in 1992. She remarried Commander Timothy Laurence in 1992.

            Anne is best known for being an accomplished horse-rider and was a member of the British Olympic team in 1976.

            Anne is now 17th place in line to the British throne.

On A Side Note: I'm probably into Anne mainly because I want to be "into" her brothers, King Charles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
