i did longer replies from four characters - Barty, Bella, Flynn, Callisto, in that order and ended up with an interesting crop of names (in the same order as the character who got the result)

the only one I have read is due to my childhood obsession with HP but Anne Rice is on my to-read list and I recognise titles of work by Arthur Clarke so I think overall this might be a win?

I can’t remember if Ann ever wrote Storm, so I am SUPER excited about that! I have been a DIE HARD Nocenti fan after her LONGSHOT series and Storm during her Mohawk/ “Life Death”/de-powered phase is my all time favorite Storm! (“Life Death” and “A Love Story” are hands down my favorite Claremont story!!)

I am really curious if Percy is staying on “X-Force”, since he’s doing a Wolverine book during that time and the writer isn’t listed…I hope not, since his run has been phenomenally boring and terrible 😬

Mooch hasn’t said much about her past but she doesn’t come from the dunes at all originally, used to be a thief before being caught by Starlo, and got her signature hat from her dad some time in the past.

Since starting her blog she’s been given WAY too much stuff, got cancelled for making a Feisty Five parody of “Sticking out your Gyatt for the Rizzler”, was considering killing a man at one point, and got stabbed by a tree.

She’s hinted at having a crush on Ceroba, but refuses to act on it due to Ceroba still mourning Chujin. She found her snake pals (Sammy, Ann, and Bert) in the dunes a few years past.

Dina hasn’t gotten into much trouble herself but has helped many blogs that have come to the bar for comfort, food, or shelter that one time.

Her parents, Io and Callisto, don’t get along very well, and neither does she with them. She has a very shaky relationship with Starlo and Orion, but does love her Aunt Crestina a lot.

A somewhat more serious answer can be found in Anne McCaffrey’s Tower and Hive series, where the result seems to be a bit inconsistent but in a way that makes sense if it’s a personal preference thing. Some of the people end up aligning to Earth schedule (including lots on Callisto since there’s no sensible way to define a normal day-night cycle there) and others end up aligning with their planetary cycle. Part of this is resolved because planets are chosen for inhabitation partly because they have close-enough-to-Earth day lengths, although that’s not universal either. (There’s also the Mrdini, and sadly I don’t think it’s ever addressed how either the ’dinis on Aurigae or the humans on Clarf end up adapting cycle-wise; I’d be willing to bet Clarf tower keeps Earth time and has a dissociated shift schedule from the ’dini government offices, which has to be hell on Laria but I think that consequence is actually supported by canon, so…)

Starfield brings up the questions of people adapting to different planetary cycles (and does nothing to answer it).

Like, how do people adapt to a day lasting 47 hours? When do they sleep? When are work hours?

Starfield's answer to work hours seems to be "FOREVER", but I just SLIGHTLY suspect that's purely a gameplay thing.
