Hi Anea! I've always wondered what the Star Princess makeup looks like? I've seen Patti Cohenour's dark blue eyeshadow and it looks interesting. Thank you!!!
I would say that the makeup here is whatever the Christine actress wears in the rest of the show, as it really isn't any time to adjust the makeup after Masquerade.
That said, the earlier Christines wore heavier makeup than what's seen on most Christines today. They "pancaked" their face more, with heavier and paler foundation, and they wore more eye makeup. It started out with very blue eyeshadow - a true child of the 1980s - as seen on Sarah Brightmana and Claire Moore in West End, in many of the early Japanese Christines, the early Hamburg Christines etc. Here's Sarah Brightman:
And Claire Moore:
Anna Maria Kaufmann in Hamburg:
Kyoko Suzuki in Japan:
(not sure if this is indeed Kyoko Suzuki, but it does at least show the quite blue eye-makeup with the Star Princess costume):
In the original Broadway production they did instead do heavier "smoky eye" makeup. This was also implanted into the West End production, as well as the Australian. It means Claire Moore went from the very blue eyeshadow above and to this:
Ditto for Sarah Brightman on Broadway:
And thus also Patti Cohenour:
She also kept a dark makeup for her Canadian run, but I would say it was a tad lighter than her Broadway run. More light areas on the eyelid, in sync with the other Canadian Christines.
Which again would translate into the Star Princess look. Not that I have a supergood photo of her makeup there, but this cropped blurry fullshow still gives an indication:
I hope that answered your question... If not you did at least get a look of the rare and amazing VERY BLUE EYESHADOW of the 1980s...!

🧨 💌 🎖🏆 ⭐️
Thank you so much Anna 💜💜💜💜
🧨 a rider who you didn't like at first but they grew on you? Joan Mir. At first I only cheered for Rins, and then I started to think if Rins doesn't win, then I'm okay with his teammate. And then when I realized I was cheering for both Suzuki riders, and the team.
💌 which rider would you put into the motogp hall of fame? My obvious answer is Dani, bit he is already there. And then another one will be Marc, but we all know he will be a Legend one day, even if you don't like him, you have to recognize that. So I'm going to go with Aleix. My reasoning is this: despite not having championships, he made it all the way to MotoGP and team s refused to let him go. He is full of talent and don't forget that Aprilia is like that thanks to him and he managed to fight for a championship with an inferior bike (yes I know people will say he frighted because Aprilia had the concessions, well I'll say he did despite that). And he is doing it again, and this time there's no concession. So yes Aleix. He is also the only one that DORNA fears and can make riders unionize
🎖 favourite podium? I have terrible memory, so I'll go with MotoGP COTA this year
🏆what is your favorite race win? This one is difficult because I love Brad's first victory, Rins in COTA this year or Australia last year of Fermín in Silverstone this year. Yes blame me, I love my faves in the podium.
⭐️ who is your favorite world champion? Is that even a serious question? It's obvious it's Dani, but if you insist I have to pick one MotoGP World Champion then I'll go with Joan.

Hi there! I have a request that might be tricky so feel free to ignore this ask. So I'm extremely fascinated by these certain types of vintage Christine's wedding dress bodices that were used in 1990s atleast in Hamburg and Japan and more recently in Brazil. The bodice was made of "stripy" fabric and the basque/belt was quite wide. I wondered could you make a photoset of those bodices? Thank you!
YES! These bodices are absolutely masterpieces. They are so dramatic, so hourglass shaped, so period looking. So... Bjørnson. I love them to pieces and pretty much screamed of joy when they decided to use them for the principals in the Sao Paulo revival.
Their origin is in very early West End days, as well as the first European productions in Stockholm, Vienna, Scheveningen, Hamburg, Basel etc. As the Japanese production replicated West End at the time, they could also be seen there, and is more or less made in that style today. Here's some:
Ryoko Nomura, Tokyo 1988:
Anna Maria Kaufmann, Hamburg c. 1990:
Elisabeth Berg, Stockholm c. 1990:
Jill Washington, West End c. 1994:
Kyoko Suzuki, Tokyo c. 1992:
Eriko Murata (?), Hiroshima 1992:
Ute Baum, Basel 1995:
Colby Thomas, Hamburg 1998 (which is a bit different in fabric and in basque than the others, but the latest incarnation of the style in Germany before they started doing the current look):
Emma Frost, Copenhagen 2009:
Giulia Nadruz, Sao Paulo 2019:
Raquel Paulin, Sao Paulo 2019:
A detail shot of an old German or Dutch bodices used in Brazil:
And a detail shot of an old Swedish bodice used in Denmark:
Aaaaaaaah, bliss!!!!!!
