I got to see Anna Lapwood tonight! It was my first time at an organ concert, so that was pretty exciting. It's such a cool instrument!

The queue for meet&greet was longer than at usual concerts here haha. So many people coming from abroad! (Lots from the Netherlands especially, which makes sense since it's so close.) She was super friendly and seemed to have boundless energy haha

She played a mix of classical repertoire, pieces commissioned from young female composers, and film and animation music adaptations. It was really fun x)

She played this for the encore ❤️

(1) what a gorgeous performance! Ceremony of Carols is one of my favorite Christmas pieces, and these girls sing it so beautifully! and I love hearing it with organ! (it's usually accompanied by harp)

Thank you for posting this. It’s rare that you get to see the complex ‘dance’ that goes on. Most people only see the keyboard with the fancy stops.

The shoes are beautiful but personally I don’t think I could achieve the muscle memory without playing barefoot.

And that would be a really bad idea.
