tbh one of my favorite things about the accent Sam Reid does for Lestat is that it's not the Greatest French accent, but its also not absolutely terrible or stereotypical. Like native French speakers have said it's not amazing, and even myself who took 3 yrs of French years ago with a lady with a heavy accent can see discrepancies.

But then you consider the fact that they weren't just pulling from French and it actually kinda makes sense. His mother is Italian and as a vampire he travelled and spent time with vampires from other places that could have influenced his accent.

I also really love. How he'll like overcompensate for some words or sounds, like sometimes he'll do it for sounds that french usually drops and I love it. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is the way he says "one-reeler" in episode 2 bc he really overcompensates that 'reeler'. It's great bc he does say it like it's a doorknob falling out of his mouth, which he referred to speaking English as prior in the episode.
