WHO KNEW
WE HAVE
NO ONE
Yippeeeeeeeeeee creature drawing!! It's one of the main antagonists, Laura Clifton, from my horror story The Isolated. I got lore for this creature, and I guess for all of the monsters in the story, so here I go
So everywhere in the world is a particular type of diseased water. It attracts animals to drink from it, inflicting them with certain types of diseases. When those animals bite humans, they have a chance to inflict them with their disease. There are two types of diseases they can inflict humans with: a starvation cycle and some sort of transformation cycle.
Creatures who can inflict the starvation cycle would be bats and spiders (see the spider monster above). Starvation cycle monsters, you know, starve over a 2 week period in 4 phases. Each phase (every 2 days) they gain a more monstrous appearance. To ward it off, they need food in some capacity, be it animals, bugs, fish, or humans (this is only if they are on the verge of death, because if they don't get food within 15 days, they'll die)
Creatures who can inflict the transformation cycle would be wolves (transform during the full moon) and herons (transform when migrating season starts for the birds). To best explain it, I got transformation lore for werewolves because it would take a while to explain it

So yeah for each phase you look more like the animal until in the last transformation, you permanently stay the animal.
It takes about 5 years to make it from phase 1-2, and another 5 to get from 2-3. It takes another 10 years to make it to phase 4, then another 10 years to phase 5, and then finally another 10 years to the last phase. It would then take 5 years until the person dies from old age in their animal form. Fun fact, for werewolves, during the nights of half moons, they would get a severe headache because their brain thinks it's time to transform. Same would go for the heron people (they're called harpies in the story), when it's about halfway until the next migrating season, they get severe headaches as well
I think that's about everything. I might come back to edit this if I miss stuff but yeah that's the gist of the monsters
Oh and take this begotten lookin mf while I was editing the image
