Mike Varga's latest edit dropped and as much as I appreciate Varga's progression and riding I gotta say it didn't land for me. The stock music gave me zero hype and most of the riding seemed to be either filler or tricks that I've just kind of seen a lot of before? Alley oop 3 whip transfers are one of of the most overdone tricks in FISE contests, Andy Buckworth is kind of THE double flip spine guy and Varga's didn't really excite me to see in a video. If he did it in a line or in a contest I think I would lose my mind, but as a single banger I just didn't get a spark. The switch double flair is probably one of the crazier tricks I've ever seen, and the 1260 barspin is absolutely nuts. The double downside whip flair was extremely cool, one of my favorite tricks I've seen him do. Double whipping the Bezanson gap was really cool! But I gotta say I just didn't really vibe with the rest of it. Most of the tech tricks were stuff we'd seen before and even the good tabletop air was shot from a bad angle it seemed like. On top of that, it seemed kind of like a waste to film a lot of single trick single obstacle shots in any of the most legendary bike parks in the world. Not a single clip on the jump lines? On top of that, while Varga's style of riding is his own and I wouldn't expect him to ride any other way, to see him ride where Macduff has hit the roof (literally) and Bezanson did so many transfers and crazy lines that the place legally belongs to him, it was just kind of disappointing to see normal park riding at that place. Varga's original Home Turf video was really, really fucking cool because he just unleashed on every single ramp on his new mini park. He did crazy tricks on the coping, on the box, over the box, on the spine, over the spine, on the sub box, on the quarter pipes, on the VERT WALL. I will never forget how hard he shredded a vert wall of all things. But I feel like some of that creativity is gone from his riding, filled now with pure bangers and some filler between. That being said, Varga is an insanely talented individual and every new BMX video is good. I applaud him on his world first's and devotion to showing the world what he can do with a fresh video part.

Bangers upon bangers upon bangers. As much as I love the woods and trails riding, I’m definitely a sucker for watching big ass tricks get thrown down on big ass jumps. Which is exactly what this video did. There’s far too many to list all the tricks I thought were amazing but these were my top 3.

1. Dawid Godziek - 1080 but with a front flip in there too (somehow)

2. Pat Casey - 360 Superman Indian Seatgrab jump 1, Brakeless Cashroll jump 2

3. Kyle Baldock - Flip Barspin to No Hander jump 1, 720 Double Whip jump 2
