Do you think cal and andre would hate or like the girl versions of themselves…Yaoi vs Yuri
honestly… i feel like cal would think they’re interesting. he’d constantly talk about them to andre but hate actually speaking to them. he’d get rachel to talk to them for him. andre, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with them. you literally couldn’t pay him to be within 10 feet of them. whenever someone asks why he hates them so much, he’s just like “how could you not?”
callie would think that cal and andre were weird. they’re creepy and angry boys. i think any girl would think they’re freaky. andrea’s intrigued though. she still hates them but also understands them in a way.
all in all, i feel like cal, callie, and andrea could be friends. andre would sit with them if he had to, but he’d have his arms crossed and a scowl on his face.

Cal and Andre as girls.
When you’re the weird girl, life feels impossible. Cal is too unnerving for everyone she meets. They say she carries herself strangely—like an inferiority complex personified.
People say she’s got rocks in her shoes, and all her clothes are second-hand. They hang over her body like a halo. An angelic girl. She’s scary.
Andrea’s even scarier. She never felt like she belonged anywhere—too much of a boy for the girls, and too much of a girl for the boys. Her eyes get dark when she looks around the room.
Touch me and I’ll kill you. Touch her and I’ll kill you.
Andrea doesn’t like any of the boys that Cal hangs out with. She thinks they’re pathetic—worms that need to be crushed. Ignorant, vile. Their sugar-coated words taste like puke.
Puke, puke, puke.
She has never wanted something so bad.
Cal just twirls her hair, skips rocks across ponds. The Kriegman Family Home.
Cal thinks about her brains blown out. Andrea thinks of marriage.

'La La Land' wins big at Baftas 2017 with some politics
It's just two weeks before the Oscars hit, but the BAFTA's took center stage (well right before the Grammy's) Sunday night with "La La Land" winning five awards. Not bad as it had eleven nominations and won for Best film, best actress and best director. "Manchester By the Sea" continued its winning streak for Casey Affleck as best actor and Ken Loach won the best British film award for "I, Daniel Blake." Emma Stone, who won for Best Leading Actress in "La La Land" took her acceptance speech as a moment for her political statement. It was obvious how emotional this was for her as she stumbled slightly giving her message. “It feels like the world is going through a bit of a time right now… “Sorry, I’m losing my words, this always happens… “I don’t know if you’ve realized this, but right now this country and the U.S. and the world seems to be going through a bit of a time. Just a bit,” she said. “In a time that’s so divisive, I think it’s really special that we are all able to come together tonight thanks to BAFTA to celebrate the positive effect of creativity and how we can transcend borders and how we can help people to feel a little less alone.” Emma also acknowledged the BAFTA community for voting for her, telling them: “Thank you so much for this, this is an unbelievable honor.” Viola Davis, who won best supporting actress for "Fences" had a message supporting Meryl Street, whose impassioned speech at the Golden Globes resulted in a nasty Donald Trump tweet tantrum. “Anyone who labels Meryl Streep an overrated actress obviously doesn’t know anything about acting. That’s just the way it is. And that’s not even just directed towards Donald Trump. That’s directed towards anyone,” she told reporters in the press room following her win. “This is someone who is the master at her skill and she has lasted for 40 years — in a very difficult profession might I add. She continued: “I have never met anyone who has been in her presence who she has not made feel like a star in their own lives. That is a rock. Very humble, very gracious human being.”

Latest story from https://movietvtechgeeks.com/la-la-land-continues-sweeping-nominations-baftas/
'La La Land' continues sweeping nominations with BAFTA's
Awards season is definitely here, and the one name that keeps coming up again and again is “La La Land,” and the recent BAFTA nominations are keeping the name alive eleven more times.
The perky, pastel-hued jazz musical “La La Land” quick-stepped into an awards-season lead Tuesday, gaining 11 nominations for the British Academy Film Awards, the U.K. equivalent of the Oscars.
The sweet-tempered Ryan Gosling-Emma Stone romance is up for best picture, director, actor and actress at the British awards, which are considered a strong indicator of likely success at Hollywood’s prize giving next month.
The nominations add to the musical’s momentum after it won seven prizes at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
Philosophical sci-fi yarn “Arrival” and psychological thriller “Nocturnal Animals” have nine nominations each for the U.K prizes, known as BAFTAs. The contenders were announced at the British academy’s London headquarters by actors Dominic Cooper and Sophie Turner.
Best-picture nominees are “La La Land”; “Arrival”; welfare-state drama “I, Daniel Blake”; Miami coming-of-age story “Moonlight”; and soul-baring domestic drama “Manchester by the Sea.”
Best-actor nominees are Andrew Garfield for “Hacksaw Ridge”; Casey Affleck for “Manchester by the Sea”; Jake Gyllenhaal for “Nocturnal Animals”; Gosling for “La La Land”; and Viggo Mortensen for “Captain Fantastic.”
Best actress contenders are Amy Adams for “Arrival”; Emily Blunt for “The Girl on the Train”; Stone for “La La Land”; Meryl Streep for “Florence Foster Jenkins”; and Natalie Portman for “Jackie.”
Among supporting actor and actress nominees are Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel, both for “Lion”; Jeff Bridges for “Hell or High Water”; Hugh Grant for “Florence Foster Jenkins”; and Viola Davis for “Fences.”
Best director nominations went to Denis Villeneuve for “Arrival”; Ken Loach for “I, Daniel Blake”; Damien Chazelle for “La La land”; Kenneth Lonergan for “Manchester by the Sea”; and Tom Ford for “Nocturnal Animals.”
Winners of the British trophies will be announced at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Feb. 12, two weeks before the Oscars.
The BAFTAs differ from their U.S. counterpart in having a separate category for best British film. Nominees are “I, Daniel Blake”; raucous road trip “American Honey”; courtroom drama “Denial”; wizarding adventure “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”; documentary “Notes on Blindness”; and Iran-set horror film “Under the Shadow.”
