I feel like one of the greatest indicators of how fucking good Sanderson is at balancing characters but ESPECIALLY how he structures and balances his chapters is that Every time I switch to a new POV I'm like "Naw I wanted to figure out more what the person I was just with is doing" and then as SOON as I'm back to that previous POV Sanderson drops a BITCHASS cliffhanger fuck on the Current POV that makes me go "ONONONONONON HEYEHEYEHYE STOP CAN WE LIKE. STAY *HERE* FOR A SECOND HOLD UP-"

#Greatest examples so far #Shallan's One Sentence Shardblade Line being followed by an almost immediate #Return to Kaladin #And then Kaladin's little reborn stuff and him threatening Gaz #Which was very sexy btw #Being DIRECTLY followed by three whole interludes????#Like dude it's SUCH a good show of how much control Sanderson has over his narrative #This bitch knows how to HOOK #It's genuinely really sexy he's such a good author it's actually unfair #With that being said #SZETH RETURN HELLO KING I AM SO GLAD #I still haven't stopped thinking about the prologue #I need to know more about Szeth #the stormlight archives #The other two I don't think I recognize #But that's gonna be Fun too #manda yaps about sanderson books #Like this happens every POV switch it's insane #Like it's not just with the Big Fun Reveals or something #it's EVERY time #Which is why it's so impressive
