I will forever stand by the sentiment that Zane in Season 1 (and in some very very small parts of 2 & 3) was THE best character in the entire show.

Like you said, he went from a stoic level headed guy to an emotionally compelling and well written character, Home and Tick Tock established his entire arc and character and especially the latter, Tick Tock packed a very powerful punch within a relatively small time frame, we got to learn who Zane is, what his family is, hit motives and beliefs and how he came to be, all within 1 episode, the usage of Memories especially was an excellent choice.

it’s crazy how much they evolved Zane’s character from the Pilots to Season 1

he went from that weird side character in the back of the class to probably the most emotionally-driven character in Season 1

#I fuckin love Tick Tock #My favourite ninjago episode #And definitely my most watched lol #Not to mention the falcon chase music #And the soundtrack that plays when Zane flips the memory switch #Those 2 soundtracks are so so good #The way he unlocked his true potential was also beautiful #Realising that just cause he's a nindroid doesn't make him any different #And even tho his family is gone #He still has another family in the form of the ninja #A family worth fighting for #And as we would later find out #A family worth dying for
