THE POTENTIAL that we could get?? I'm pretty sure Emilie was the only adult who showed Chloe any real love. Chloe should be grieving for her too (i mean not like Adrien, but Emilie was more of a mother to her than Audrey so). Chloe trying to support Adrien by saying she kind of knows what it's like to lose a parent (only to then later Audrey suddenly burst into their lives ughffvhjnk)
Chloe should have gotten to identify Felix (and come to the Agreste mansion to call out him because wth dude??)
And please, but her bitсhiness as Queen Bee?? Pure gold. (The way she humiliated Hawk Moth outfit lives rent-free in my head 🙏) And her "retweiler gold" behavior around Ladybug it's all just-...
Okay, okay, I'll probably end it here cause it's too sad
i KNOW im beating a dead horse but we were so robbed and i could genuinely talk about this for hours. THE DYNAMIC OF CHLOE BEING ADRIENS CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND/ONLY FRIEND. they both have shitty parents, they ARE each others family. she thinks she's in love with adrien but realizes it's familial, not romantic. she's marinettes bully but grows as a person with ladybug & adrien's encouragement. SHE CHANGES BECAUSE SHE LOVES ADRIEN LIKE A BROTHER AND SHE BEGRUDGINGLY WARMS UP TO MARINETTE BUT THEY NEVER TRULY BECOME FRIENDS UNTIL AFTER ADRIEN AND MARINETTE GET MARRIED BECAUSE SHE THINKS MARINETTE WILL HURT HIM LIKE HIS FATHER. SHES THE MOST OVERPROTECTIVE SISTER TO HIM. SHE STAYS THE SAME UPPITY RICH GIRL WITH A HEART OF GOLD BECAUSE SHE ADMITS HER FLAWS AND STRUGGLES BUT STILL KEEPS A MASK UP MOST OF THE TIME. SHE LOVES LADYBUG AND CANT STAND CHAT NOIR UNTIL THE REVEAL BECAUSE THATS HILARIOUS. THE POTENTIAL KEEPS ME UP AT NIGHT. i will NEVER accept what we got.
BECAUSE WHAT A WASTE OF A WONDERFUL CHARACTER. SOMEBODY SEDATE ME.

Didn’t Need Burrow (April 24th-May 3rd)
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Marinette is exposed to the world as Ladybug by the end of the series. This is largely so Adrien gets to bask in everyone knowing that HE ended up with Paris' protector on his arm, emphasizing her status as a trophy that he won.
This feels too likely, I hate it.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: After being badgered into trusting her with the Fox, Marinette tries to convince Alya that she can't expose herself as Rena Rouge any further, and should take advantage of the Fox's long-range capabilities to stay hidden. Alya dismisses the danger; if she tries hiding at all, it doesn't take long to reveal herself, claiming it's unheroic to hide. Shadowmoth then targets her personally, with Marinette taking the blame.
I WOULD EXCUSE THE FOX THING IF IT STAYED LONG RANGE BUT I’M WAITING FOR THEM TO RUIN IT
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Rather than outing Ladybug, Alya reveals *herself* as Rena Rouge. She claims that this is fine since Hawkmoth already knows her secret identity... and besides, it gives the LadyBlog more cred!
Because why not I guess, the bar for her is already so low.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Marinette will be forced to give up Guardianship/go through the memory wipe... but continue as Ladybug. This is mined for Sadrien AND resets LadyNoir; she no longer recalls all the annoying shit he's pulled, offering a fresh start. May lead into Reversed Rectangular Romance with Chat Noir pining after the old Ladybug while she develops a crush on her brooding partner. He's so ~dark~ and ~mysterious~ and gives her such ~wistful looks~!
Marinette gets to give up guardianship but at what cost. (also, that last line about Chat being dark and brooding)
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: In a Shocking Twist, Emilie is revealed to have been evil and manipulative like Chloe/Lila, and presented as solely responsible for her husband's jerkassery. This sets up GabNath as endgame with Gabriel absolved for all his misdeeds. (Any similarities between Emilie and her son's behavior are summarily ignored.)
Because Adrien is male, obviously. He gets a pass.
Anonymous said:
Didn't need the Burrow: A lot of Adrien's supposed childhood friendship with Chloe was actually with Zoe. Which is supposed to give the new character some instant connections and serves as another proof of Chloe being irredeemable. Bonus: Marinette finds out and whether or not she spills the beans, it will be something she'll get called out for.
So, either a retcon or Adrien comes off as even more of a liar in “Origins.”
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Su-Han will tell Marinette outright that her responsibilities mean she's not allowed to be happy. This is used to garner sympathy for HIM - Isn't it sad how his duties have completely consumed his life? Clearly he needs help learning how to unwind and relax! Meanwhile Mari's drowning in the background, but this isn't about HER, now is it?
I’M SO SAD
WHYYY
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Adrien discovers Gabriel's secret and hides the truth, forbidding Plagg from telling anyone. Not just to protect his father/family, but because he's not ready to stop being Chat Noir. No villains means no reason for heroes, and he doesn't even know his lady's secret identity yet--! Naturally, his reasoning is treated as totally understandable and sympathetic, even as he enables the conflict to continue indefinitely.
“CHAT BLANC” VERSION 2.0 I HATE IT DX
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Hawk/Shadowmoth starts aiming to *kill* the exposed/temp heroes in order to prevent them from potentially joining battles. This only happens during akuma fights (so that it falls upon Ladybug to 'set things right' with her powers). Chat Noir makes minimal (if any) effort to protect them, relying upon his 'partner' to carry the day instead and bring them back.
Ladybug: *trying to save everyone*
Chat Noir: *filing his claws in the background*
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Marinette will be pressured to make others permanent heroes and let them have their Miraculi full-time. This sets up for Hawkmoth to eventually get his hands on the Miracle Box, meaning any Miraculi that haven't been distributed are now in the villains' clutches. Not only does this dramatically cut down her pool of allies, Marinette gets to be guilt-stricken over failing all her duties and not listening to their demands while she had the chance.
Marinette, you’re such a fAilUrE as guardian!!
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Zoe will turn out to be another love interest for Adrien - only it's as the New-Bee with *Chat Noir*, enabling the dreaded Reversed Romo-Rhombus dynamic with Ladybug becoming jealous of their chemistry.
girls are such jealous types, haven’t you guys heard? :)
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Ladybug gets a new default look (for the sake of selling more ML merch in Real Life), trading the spotted onesie for another form-fitting spandex suit that 'highlights her feminine charms' even more. This is treated as a sign of her 'growing up'.
wow i hate it
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Alya shipping Marinette with both Adrien and Chat Noir after finding out her identity.
I am 100% not here for shipping shenanigans.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Alya will be responsible for leading Lila to suspect that Marinette and Ladybug are connected. Though Alya may actually *realize* that she slipped up, she won't warn Marinette about the potential security breach, not wanting her to get upset/any more paranoid than she already is.
And of course, this will be used to make people “sympathize” with her. See, she cAreS about Marinette’s feelings, how can you be mad at her for this??
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: There will be more plots where Marinette's 'lesson of the week' is that she must learn how to better control and suppress her emotions, and that she is literally not ALLOWED to be upset because Hawk/Shadowmoth will win if she does. At the same time, Adrien is encouraged to marinate in his own unhappiness over Ladybug not giving in to his advances. If the danger involved ever comes up, it's presented as purely Ladybug/Marinette's fault for rejecting him.
I’m starting to think some of you are ZAG insiders because wow that sounds likely. DX
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: A recurring theme in episodes featuring the 'girl squad' will be Marinette meddling too much, as her efforts to help them cross boundaries THEY aren't comfortable with. If she dares to bring up their past insistence that friends don't keep secrets, they'll call her out as a hypocrite while refusing to acknowledge their own hypocrisies.
“Marinette’s boundaries? Who??? No, Marinette, what about THEIR boundaries???” - the writers
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Adrien will feel sorry for Chloe and regret the role he played in her losing her Miraculous. This is mainly a vehicle to help explain why everything that went wrong with her/Queen Bee is totally, 100% Marinette/Ladybug's fault, along with showing how forgiving Adrien is and how he 'sees the best in everyone', and is clearly right to do so. Bonus: this is combined with him distrusting the NewBee for not being Chloe/making her jealous.
*sigh*
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Chloe will get akumatized out of anger over the New Bee, and Ladybug is blamed for her insensitivity/forced to apologize to her.
I’m still stunned at the mental gymnastics they go through to make Marinette/Ladybug apologize to people.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Su-Han will confirm the popular fan claim that Ladybug and Black Cat bearers are, in fact, soulmates/bound together by destiny. Chat Noir gleefully rubs this in Ladybug's face; her disbelief and horror is played entirely for laughs at her expense. Adrien's behavior escalates further afterwards, bolstered by the knowledge that it doesn't matter how shitty he gets, as she belongs to him regardless.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: In addition to confirming the notion that Ladybugs and Black Cats are 'meant to be', it's revealed that other Miracli are destined soulmates, like Foxes and Turtles or Butterflies and Peacocks, and other random Miraculi pairings that 'coincidentally' align with various official ships.
brb, need to step away to scream on my porch
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: At least one episode will have Marinette mess up a potion, preventing her and the other heroes from enjoying its benefits during a big fight. This is blamed either on her anxiety causing her to overthink it or on her being a poor student, lamenting the fact that she didn't have more time with Master Fu. (Bonus if Su-Han takes advantage of this to slam Fu; extra bonus points if Mari defends him by insisting *she* was the one who screwed up, not her master.)
It’s like a main course of Marinette blame, oh my god.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Su-Han will make various sexist comments about Marinette and the other heroines, implying that they were all poor choices Because Girl. Since nothing says 'Girl Power' like insisting they must prove themselves to doubtful men who will never fully accept them. After all, Marinette is the only one who ever learns lessons; therefore, Su-Han will never grow out of his 'old-fashioned views'.
And when the writers are called out, they’ll go, “bUt hE’s jUst oLd fAshiOned”
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Adrien gets his Ring revoked by Su-Han for misbehavior. This is depicted as a terrible miscarriage of justice, and Marinette must convince Su-Han to return the Ring without learning who Chat Noir is. The more terrible the inciting act, the bigger the bonus points; did he skip another battle like Glaciator? Pull another Syren-level stunt? Cataclysm another innocent? Who cares? Sadrien is Sad, and that's the biggest crisis of all...
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Adrien pulls another Syren-level stunt (or worse); rather than holding him responsible, Su-Han berates Marinette for her poor leadership and failure to keep him in line. Bonus if she confides/vents to Alya afterwards only for Alya to AGREE with Su-Han that she's failed at being a good partner to Chat Noir. Fever Mode activates if Alya implies Marinette's failure is due to her inability to admit her feelings for Chat Noir and/or confess to Adrien.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Alya will pull an Adrien re: Lila, refusing to openly support Marinette against her. She'll claim that they need to 'gather evidence' first before exposing her to everyone. In practice, this means that Alya is willing to continue feigning ignorance, pretending that she's taken in by Lila's lies, while Marinette continues to suffer since she won't play along. Any evidence-gathering we see Alya engaging in is minimal, if she's shown doing it at all.
This is 150% one of the most accurate Alya-Lila confrontations I’ve seen from these predictions.
I hate it.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: When confronting Lila, Alya will insist that 'Ladybug told me herself' that they aren't friends. Lila attempts to convince her that Ladybug is lying to try and protect her; this either works or spurs Alya to declare that LB 'hates liars', making her suspicious of Marinette's potential connections to the superheroine.
Alya
Alya why
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Alya will only treat Marinette with anything approaching a veneer of respect while she's Ladybug. (As in 'Transformed/wearing the spotted suit/actively superheroing'.) Her behavior towards her 'regular BFF', meanwhile, will continue to degrade.
and, as a alternative:
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Having learned that Marinette = Ladybug, Alya shows less and less respect towards the superheroine. (Not that she displayed much in the first place, but you know what they say: familiarity breeds contempt. And Alya's convinced that she knows her SO WELL, despite all signs to the contrary...)
Thanks. Hate them both. T_T
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Alya will end up outing Ladybug in a moment of anger. Though this is treated as impulsive and spur-of-the-moment, the act itself hints otherwise. (For example, she posts it on the LadyBlog; that post had to be *written up* first, and she likely had to think about what evidence she'd use to back up her claim... Not to mention if she includes pictures or video. Showing that Alya thought about it well before her 'tipping point', no matter how she claims otherwise.)
okay but you missed the part where Marinette is blamed for it--
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Tikki's comments about kwamis not understanding love are foreshadowing that they will later claim that Ladybug and Chat Noir's relationship has shown them what true love is. Because none of the other relationships they've ever seen or experienced in their long, looooooong history compare to the Four-Cornered F**kery.
Tikki sure knew a lot about love when she commented on all of Marinette’s love issues.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Kagami will come to regret 'impulsively' breaking up with Adrien for being a lying jerkface, while Luka moves on and finds happiness with somebody else with relative ease. Because guys are allowed to move on with their lives while girls have to wallow in the miserable mires of wish-you-were-(still)-mine. Woes--!
no but see Adrien is “worthy” of love while Marinette isn’t
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Marinette is either responsible for the secret Juleka's keeping (such as trusting her with a Miraculous) or inadvertently sets Rose on its scent in the first place, making her *supposedly* responsible for the strife which follows.
We already know that it’s not Juleka’s secret at least but Marinette could absolutely still set Rose off.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Marinette will be taught techniques/given a power-up that shuts off her emotions completely, or simply reaches the point where she figures out how to do so on her own. This is ultimately shown to be a bad thing/another mistake not because of the toll it takes on her psyche, but because the fully repressed Marinette/Ladybug no longer has any interest whatsoever in Adrien, and *we can't have THAT!*
Us getting to see Marinette not crushing on Adrien... but at what cost?
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Alya posts more embarrassing content on the LadyBlog, making it look like Ladybug keeps screwing up/making mistakes. Marinette asks her to stop, worried that she's undermining people's faith in her; Alya blows off her concerns and accuses her of getting a swelled head/becoming a 'control freak' about her image, insisting it's no big deal if people see she's human while refusing to treat her as such. (Meanwhile none of Chat Noir's mistakes/misbehavior make it onto the blog.)
“Bonus” if Alya gets particularly huffy because it’s jOunrAliSm and she’d be bIAsEd if she took down something that made her fRiEnD uNComOFTablE.
elflynns-horde-of-stuff said:
Don't need a burrow: The upcoming episode "Guiltrip" is gonna be 50% Sadrien. And we won't even get any new developments on his character for it.
so the usual
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: It's revealed that Ladybug holders are 'natural good luck charms' for everybody around them, but are punished by karmic backlash for even the *slightest* hint of selfishness (or self-consideration). Hence Marinette's whole plight, which is still presented as her fault for not being able to reach an impossibly perfect ideal. (Anything we learn about Black Cat holders, meanwhile, is purely for Agrestangst and has no bearing on anything observable within the show itself.)
Honestly, with the bad luck Marinette had in “Origins,” you’d think she’d be meant for the cat and been taught about the values of destruction and just being able to Go Off on people, or how to spin her bad luck into something good (or the black cat miraculous in general helps her channel her bad luck, such as making her Cataclysm stronger or being able to give her bad luck to others).
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: The show ends with Marinette and Adrien getting together, with Marinette declaring that everything she went through was worth it and that she's 'incredibly lucky' -- that the fact fate brought them together is 'nothing short of Miraculous!'
The sheer level at which I just cringed in immeasurable.
Anonymous said:
Didn't need the Burrow: A S5 episode will drop before S4 is finished.
Oh! Ahaha, we’ve got a wavelength, anon! I actually already added that one at some point.
Anonymous said:
Didn't need the Burrow: The series will not really make Rose/Juleka canon. They will imply it but the official language used in the episode will be "best friends". Yet on Twitter the creators will pat themselves on the back repeatedly for it
I mean, this already partially happened in “Reflekdoll” so--
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: It'll be confirmed beyond any reasonable doubt that Adrien 100% knows about Marinette's crush when he uses it to manipulate her. Plagg comments on it, and Adrien affirms that he knows, but her feelings don't compare to his own for Ladybug. ('And aren't worth sparing' goes unsaid, but is naturally implied.) Naturally, his manipulation of her is treated as 'clever', and any pain or mortification she feels as a result is just gravy.
Anonymous said:
Didn't Need Burrow: Adrien reveals to Plagg (and the audience) that he's fully aware of Marinette's crush, but refuses to acknowledge it because he doesn't want to 'crush her dreams', comparing it to how Ladybug keeps rejecting him. Making the situation entirely about HIM and how HE feels, even showing some resentment towards her for HAVING that crush for HIM to deal with. Marinette and her feelings are painted as just an ANNOYANCE that he's ignoring, heedless of the impact upon her.
wow i hate them both
thank you, both of you

Assuming someone in the BatFam is the end game:
It's been only a week or so since Tony figured out who Ladybug is
She's captured everyone's hearts, but has to go to Gotham soon
For help, but also because of her internship
The Stark Gala becomes a 'you better live and come back one day, Mari or I STG' party, hosted by Tony Stark, of course
She makes all the outfits of the Starks, her parents, herself, Jagged, Penny, Luka, and Kagami (the last two friends minus Chloe from Paris) and she makes extra in case someone has a wardrobe malfunction
Meanwhile, the Waynes have heard a lot about the newest Stark: MDC
Tim is a fanboy. He's found everything related to his favorite rock star's designer/niece there is to find ("I'm not obsessed! They're just super talented, and I'd like something from them! Stop laughing at me, Dick!")
Dick has no room to tease him, as both him and Jason are pretty much in the same boat
Kor'i and Mar'i love MDC, as well
Every one of the Bats are huge Jagged Stone fans
Like... Nearly rabid
(Damian, Bruce, and Alfred redact that statement)
They're invited to Tony's gala thing (he only started it to surpass the Wayne Gala, like the Lil Shite he is)
The night of the party, only Bruce and Jason go, since the rest of the bats are busy
Bruce, Jagged (who brought Fang), and Tony are all chatting in the middle of the floor, 2/3rds of the group are just talking up Marinette
Jason, meanwhile, accidentally runs into this small, adorable child who proceeds to spill her punch all over his suit
He insists it's fine, but she won't take 'no' for an answer ("I am so sorry, please let me make it up to you" "Kid, it's fine, accidents happen" "No, seriously, let me help")
There's a look in her eyes that insists she do something, and he eventually agrees
Cue to Marinette having a suit jacket that matches and fits Jason because "You look like you're the same build as Mr. Stark (she's all for joining Peter in calling Tony 'Mr. Stark' to get under his skin)"
"you know Tony?"
She shrugs, and doesn't comment anymore on it
"give me your address, and I'll bring this back when it's clean again. I'm moving to Gotham for a while soon, anyway"
He does, she doesn't realize he's a Wayne, and they part when the party ends
Cue the entire BatFam sprinting into Jason's room, chasing after a full on scream
Like, they didn't know Jason's voice could get "so high and squeaky, what the hecc?"
They pause as they see Jason litterally jumping up and down
"What the hell, Todd."
Instead of answering, he shoves the jacket in Tim's face with a shite-eating grin
It takes a moment, but Tim scowls and pulls out his wallet
When the rest of the family only look confused, Tim sighs and explains
"He got an MDC original first."
"...you had a bet on that?"
Jason freezes, eyes widening
"HOLY SH*T, I MET THE MDC! SHE WAS SO TINY, OH MY GOD, BATS, WE HAVE TO ADOPT HER!"
They're confused for a solid minute
"YOU DONT UNDERSTAND SHES AN ANGEL AND HAS BLACK HAIR AND BLUE EYES!! SHE'S OBVIOUSLY A WAYNE!"
It takes all of Bruce's willpower not to adopt her on the spot when she visits them
Like, he almost brings up adoption papers
But he knows Stark would fight tooth and nail to keep this baby
So he restrains himself
(for now)
(he swears if one of his children doesn't marry her, he's bringing the adoption papers to court)
She doesn't stay long, only meeting all the Waynes at the house and going back to her hotel
The next day, a villain goes after Mar'i, near the park/mall/something Marinette is by
Instead of becoming Ladybug, she heccin kicks arse
As Marinette
She gets both her and Mar'i out of danger without a scratch using a yo-yo of all things and meets Batman and Robin as they clean up the rest
She's all like "no, it's alright, I'm sure anyone would do the same please stop thanking me, my family's gonna kick my ass to next year for scaring them like this"
Bats comes up and takes her statement, and she happens to mention the situation in Paris
"oh, this was nothing compared to some of the Akuma I've faced" "What's an akuma?" She paled, eyes widening in shock. "You don't know? About Ladybug, Chat Noir, Ryuuko, Viperion, Queen Bee, Red Wasp, Multimouse, Hawkmoth, Mayura, Carapace, Rena Rouge, and all them?"
She explains a little, giving basic information everyone knew, then shows him the app she made a while ago
The Akuma Alert app that held much more than just akuma-related things
She leaves soon after, and Batman has a goal in mind
Within the day, Diana is furious at the lack of response towards the Paris situation
"This Ladybug was left alone for all this time?! Shame on you all, leaving my mother's successor alone!"
When Ladybug is later spotted (hehe, get it?) in Gotham, the entire BatFam finds her and gets her in touch with the League
She explains how she asked both the League and the Avengers for help, all those years ago, and was pushed aside with warnings not to send in prank calls anymore
Of course, Iron Man has already looked into it, but he's not exactly a detective and the more brains on this, the better
Meanwhile, as civilians...
The normal shipping stuff happens
With the exception that nearly every criminal in Gotham low-key adopts Marinette
They may think she's the next Wayne, but the Angel of Gotham is off limits
And not because the little Wayne chases after anyone who even looks at her wrong with a katana
Not just as Robin. As Damian
Marinette actually meets a few villains on the street
She was going to a commission, carrying some hero, vigilante, and villain themed macaroons when she got lost
(before meeting the Waynes officially, actually)
She was in a park, looking lost when Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn came up
She offered treats, and ever since she's the Angel of Gotham
Once, when on a date with her romantic interest, Killer Croc tried taking the restaurant hostage after robbing a bank
Key word: tried
Marinette calmly slipped behind him, grabbed his tail, and dragged his butt outta there
(he blames the fast French girl and the tile on the floor, which didn't let him get a good grip)
By the time Bats and the police got there, Croc was in tears as this tiny French girl lectured him about manners and interrupting dates
(the BatFam can't think of a funnier time)
When the Joker actually kidnaps her as a way to get to Batman, literally everyone rages a rescue mission
Harley, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze (Marinette reminds him of the daughter he's always wanted, with his frozen wife), Two-Face (Marinette talked philosophy with him, showing him he still had choices beyond the black and white), Killer Crock (who was impressed by the tiny French girl who threw him out of a restaurant by his tail that one time), Batman, Robin, the Teen Titans, Red Hood, Red Robin, Wonder Woman (she could feel Tikki's influence on Marinette and guessed her identity), Nightwing, all the Avengers, Red Wasp (Chloe, with the Bee Miraculous because she earned it back ages ago), Sabine (no one messed with her baby. No one), a teenage boy wielding a potato gun (who let this kid here?), Pepper, Penny (the two women were fast friends, bonding over their husbands' eccentric ways), Jagged with Fang, Audrey Bourgeois, and the entire police force storm the Joker's hideout
He didn't have a chance
Later, they admit it was kinda funny watching the small Sabine beating the crap out of the deranged clown
Fang, who was usually a puppy with scales, didn't hesitate to bite off the Joker's hand, reminiscent of Captain Hook and the Croc
Marinette's fine (or not, depending on how much angst you want in the story. It's easy to have her tourtured and nearly killed in the Joker's clutches {or actually killed and focused on angst from everyone who knew her [possible heavy Lila/class salt]} and see her move past her PTSD) and she gets home eventually
Around this time, she's made the Guardian of the Miraculous
She eventually goes back to Paris with her huge family (or everyone she thinks could keep their emotions in check)
They kick Gabriel's arse, but Adrien gets away with his mother (who was healed by Ladybug)
Possible second book
Marinette's ship becomes the Black Cat
Time skip, fiveish years later, some of Marinette's classmates see her for the first time since she left
They insult and sass her, not changed since school
Her S/O scowls and debunks them easily, defending Marinette
When they don't stop, Marinette's S/O calls Bruce, Tony, Jagged, and the rest of the League and the Avengers to destroy the morons in the class because they know how long they've waited for this moment
Mari puts her head in her hands, but doesn't stop them because she knows how long they've waited for this moment
Three hours later, the speeches and lectures aren't done yet
Lila eventually goes to Gotham or wherever Marinette is, and tries to warn the person on her arm about Marinette's 'bulling tendencies'
That gets another lecture
Or, her class gets a tour at either SI or WE, depending on when in the story you write it (could be both, and the class just doesn't learn or Tony, Pepper, and their kids were visiting WE to talk about Mari Protection Measures when they overhear it)
Lila goes off on how Mari's S/O is actually Lila's, or how she's BFFS with Batman/Iron Man/ Bruce Wayne and his kids/ Tony Stark and his kids/ the Avengers/ the Justice League
Cue the class seeing Mari
Instant bullying
The resident children and billionaire steps up, insulting and embarrassing the class while defending Mari
Lila tries to turn it around, but they're having none of that
First the kids jump at the chance to defend their little sister and/or girlfriend, then the big guns show up
At WE, it's Bruce, a highly protective Jason, and Tim, who has every single sin/mean thing/lie pulled up in a folder
It's thicker than his hand, and hard to hold
It's both in digital and physical form and sent to every single member of Mari's family- blood related or not
At SI, it's Tony and Pepper
FRIDAY steps up, too
Harley shoots Lila with the potato gun mk 3 until she leaves
The class don't know what they did wrong, but they swear to make it up just to get the scary CEOs and relatives
Also, if anyone knows the AU where Marinette was a street kid with Jason and his little sister (I can't remember who made it or what it was called, but I fell in l o v e), that could work with this one too. Jason would be so proud of his Lil sister being so famous and awesome and "how dare you let me think you were dead!! Do you have any idea how worried I was?!" "I made you worried?! You up and nearly got killed last I checked!"
Jason swore not to tell her he actually died once. He prays she never finds out.

When Chloe Knows, She Knows - Ladybug Reveal Fic
Chloe is done with this Superhero Drama
What happens if Chloe finds out who Ladybug is? Will she gush about her idol or cry in the corner? idk, you will just have to read to find out- inspired by a post I saw a while back- i just have to find it again
It has been some years since she properly received the bee miraculous from Ladybug and Chat Noir. Earning the title as ally, superhero, and friend from her beloved idol. Calling herself “Queen Bee” as she watching Paris with a view that her suite or her parent’s money couldn’t match. Called on when needed and not afraid to head in battle. No. Matter. What.
Now Chloé faced another battle. Not with an Akuma with horrible fashion sense or a villain knocking on her door for revenge. She wasn’t even wearing her iconic yellow and black mask or had her miraculous tucked safely in her hair but she sure had the venom in her. Not helping how her hands naturally curled into fists as she stomped through the hallways. Aggressively walking by housekeeping while they quickly pulled their cart out of Chloé’s way.
Her eyes narrowing while the conclusion boiled in her mind.
Marinette Dupain Cheng is Ladybug.
Ladybug, her idol, her hero, her role-model could have been ANYONE in Paris. Anyone. Ladybug managed to be the most clumsy, scrabble brained, fashion no-no designer girl in her class.
Marinette Dupain Cheng.
Chloé’s ears were steaming at this point, Punching her suite code in the elevator to take her to her room. Counting the seconds, clicking her heel, picking her manicured nails as the number slowly rise. Noticing how the elevator music was more irritating than normal.
It’s when she tossed her door closed when she shrieked. It wasn’t a scream, but a loud curse on how frustrating everything just had to be for her. The burden on her ankle relieved when she flicked her shoes off. Letting her rage melt in her actions as she did everything more forcibly. Tossing her bag to her fresh-pressed bed. Wrinkling it more as she dropped herself on the edge of her king-sized bed. Standing right back up the moment she sat down. Rocking back and forward on her feet before daring to sit back down.
She has to tell someone. Or just do something about this!
How can Chloé Bourgeois keep this to herself? Involuntary stretching back for her phone. Her time on the Ladyblog made her want to post about her finding. She would never say it to that blogger’s face, but she couldn’t stop herself from reading those theories on who was behind the mask. Taking bits and pieces from them to form her own idea on what Ladybug, the hero of Paris, really was. Chloé’s inner fangirl could just explode. How can anyone keep such a big secret, like knowing a superhero, to themselves? Chloé felt the power of her words as she swiped her phone to her bookmarks. The high of her discovery finally kicked in. She knew Ladybug.
Not like a fan, but as a person. Not only from being saved and recused but working along with her- but she knew Ladybug. Ladybug knew who she is.
Like a wave of iced water, Chloé felt the cold truth run through her. Washing her as she felt another change of emotions coming in. She knows Ladybug.
It’s impossible.
Ladybug was the girl that ate her lunch alone for years, by choice or not. Ladybug is someone that made a habit of bringing a drink and pastry to anyone on their birthday or if they were having a rough day (Chloé found it irritating, but looking back as Ladybug’s doing, it was admirable). Ladybug is someone that would plug her earbuds in and just draw. Ladybug often went to the art studio in school, away from anyone.  Ladybug is the girl in her class that never spoke back till the suit came along and she made friends. She bullied Ladybug.
“Fuck me,” Chloé cursed. She bullied Ladybug. She bullied Marinette Dupain Cheng for years. SHE BULLIED HER FOR YEARS. Yeah. Wait, this is fine. They were in good terms now. Maybe not friends, but frenemies was still good. Plus, that was years ago. Chloé sat up as she justified that everything was now fine.
“MY GOD!!!” Throwing herself back when she took it back. Everything is not fine. NOT NOW. Not. Ever.
Reaching for a pillow above her to scream into it.  Everything was not definitely okay and would never be the same. No matter how much Chloé forced herself to believe it.
--
The signs were there, she just never had the chance to read them. From the first day they met to now, Chloé always noticed something weird with Marinette. In the beginning, it was how she could look out the window and smile to herself. The second was how she didn’t have to do much to get people to like her. She became a class treasure in seconds. Often being too shy to speak out for herself as Chloé bugged her. Sometimes the girls in the class would call Chloé out for her cruelty. Only to fall back as Chloé pulled another threat at them. That was four years ago and Chloé can safely say that she changed dramatically since lycée.
She did still have her sarcastic comments but she wasn’t throwing the dirt on her shoes like she ruthlessly did before. Being Queen Bee made her have a sense of duty to the people. Ladybug made her feel that she had to protect them. Putting their safety over her’s. Yeah, she was still stubborn but she did what she was told. She did her part.
Remembering the words of her idol as if they were fresh memory.
“Queen Bee, you’re at a disadvantage now.” The red and black heroine explained one chilly night. Recovering the bee miraculous after a long day of fighting a tough Akuma.
“People know your face.” LB softly whispered. Chloé remembers how she avoided not meeting her blue eyes. Tracing the pattern of the floor to distract herself. How scared she was as she waited to hear Ladybug said she could never trust her with Pollen again or how she would never again help-
“People know who you are, Chloé.”
Chloé broke her neck with that. Gaping at Ladybug for saying her name when she was still in the suit. She was the only one on the Miraculous Team to call her by her alter ego at times. So to hear her name from her like that struck her the wrong way. Yeah, they were at her room’s patio, away from prying eyes and ears. However, to hear Ladybug say her name when she wasn’t even de-transformed made one fact clear.
Even under all this spandex and magic. She was still Chloé Bourgeois The most hated girl and selfish girl in Paris.
“Ladybug, I-”
“Hawkmoth will now target you. You will be in danger even without being Queen Bee.” Ladybug warned. Her blue eyes narrowing at hers to make sure she got the message. Chloé gave a soft ‘yeah, I know’.
“Let that be your superpower.”
“My what?”
“You heard me. Let that be your strength rather than your weakness.”
“I don’t think I’m following.”
Ladybug sighed, biting her lips in deep thought. Looking off in the distance as she squatted down on the railing. Relaxing her legs as she pushed them out from under her. Her legs hanging out like a child’s.
“You are the mayor’s daughter, right?” Chloé nodded to that. “Then you have the influence to make Paris stronger. Making Paris safer for innocent people. You can do that and so much more, by being you.”
Chloé couldn’t help but roll her eyes at that. “Pollen, buzz off.” Yellow light swarming around her. Taking the curls out from her hair and peeling off the unbreakable suit. Returning her back to her warm pj’s and her over-sized coat. One that did a great job at stopping the cold from touching her skin but not the chill of LB’s words.
“Ha,” Chloé scoffed. Shoving her fingers in her pockets as Pollen snuggled up to her collar, trying to stay warm as the winds picked up.
“You have too much faith in me, LB. Really.” The blonde cautioned.
Ladybug couldn’t stop the chuckle from slipping her lips.“Sounds more like you don’t have faith in yourself.” Ladybug looped her fingers on her yo-yo string. “Trust me, I know what that feels.”
Before Chloé could yell at her for being utterly ridiculous, Ladybug opened her mouth again, “You’re just holding yourself back. Whether you see it now or don’t.” Reaching for the bee miraculous before Chloe could think of something to say back.
“Think about it, Chloe.” and like the swift wind that itches Chloé’s nose, Ladybug was gone.
------
From scrolling through the Ladyblog and comparing every picture to Marinette’s Instagram, Chloé saw the similarities. Nevertheless, the truth hasn’t really mellowed in her head. Even after the next day, even after watching Marinette rush pass her as she mumbled that she was so late under her breath. Even when she saw Ladybug jump in front of her and others by blocking the car that came flying their way. Chloé watched Marinette bit her tongue as she scribbled down her answers for their science quiz. Chloé watched it happen again as Ladybug bit her tongue when Chat Noir asked for her opinion on the Akuma that was beating the ground in anger.
“It just can’t be her,” Chloé groaned. Ignoring Sabrina’s questions while she banged her head on her desk. Now to stop when the class became too quiet for a free period. Peeling her face from her desk, Chloé saw everyone’s attention to the windows. The sunny day was ruined as dark clouds blocked the blue sky. Like clockwork, an alert rang through the school. Confirming that it’s an Akuma. Ms. Bustier pacified the class, quicking leading them out and to the school’s “Akuma-Safe” area. Chloé followed the class like she learned in the practice drills. Taking back when she noticed something in the corner of her eye.
“Marinette.” She called out. Watching as the hero stopped her tracks, ready to spit out an excuse before Chloé beat her.
“Be careful, okay?”
Marinette dropped her confused expression. Giving her a nod before running off.
At that moment, the doubt in her stomach disappeared. Marinette Dupain-Cheng is Ladybug. The savior of Paris. Of course, she could handle this.
Chloé then quickly rushed to the rest of her class before noticing a blond rush to a supply closet. Then promptly popped out another hero with black leather and green eyes.
“You got to be kidding me.”

Bewitched Part 3
Ao3
@lenoreofraven
Today’s numbers: Ugly Heart by GRL
“And I wonder does it blow your mind, that I'm leaving you far behind? I wonder does it stop your heart to know you're not my sunshine anymore?” - Ugly Heart, G.R.L
The bee signal is already glowing up in the sky, and Chloe, oh so patiently, keeps an eye out for her heroine in the sky. Ever since Heroes’ Day, Chloe has longed to take up the mantle of Queen Bee yet again, and has had to make do with “heroics IRL”. Mostly, she tried to just stay out of everyone else’s way, even that lame old Lila, who bragged endlessly about her oh so wonderful life but also complained about having every other injury on the planet.
But the moment she saw Dupain-Cheng flock down onto the school below as the latest akuma, she very discreetly made her way out of the school and back to the hotel roof. Granted, she had to use ugh public transportation, but thankfully, she made it safe and sound.
During that time, she kept her eyes on the news regarding the akuma. Apparently, Dupain-Cheng was going by the name Bewitched, was either cursing or brainwashing people into being her friends, and particularly had it out for Lila, Alya… and Adrien.
She tried to pay no attention to the drama that was unfolding around her at school, but of course, that busybody Cesaire wouldn’t stop gossiping about it. And oh, how Chloe couldn’t resist gossip. So she knew pretty much inside and out the… complicated status between Adrien and Dupain-Cheng concerning their “relationship” or lack thereof.
Now, she was well aware of her past with Dupain-Cheng. Chloe bullied her for years, and the two pretty much never saw eye to eye on most things. This past year in particular, the baker’s daughter had been pushing back against her real hard, forcing Chloe to either back down, or try to up her game and fail. There were also times when she actually went out of her way to help Chloe, much to her confusion. So at this point, Chloe decided that it just wasn’t worth antagonizing the girl anymore. She would simply stay out of her business and focus on being a better Queen Bee for Ladybug and Paris.
There was also her own complicated friendship with Adrien. Ever since he started attending the school, he hadn’t been nearly as tolerating of her like when they were kids. He even threatened to break off their friendship after pulling off a prank on Dupain-Cheng. She didn’t want to admit it, but she knew she had that coming. But she also knew that if she didn’t go out of her way to start trouble, he’d recognize her as a better person and want to be friends again. And she couldn’t afford to lose any more people in her life, not like how she nearly lost her mom.
The drama still bothered her, of course, but only because the solution was simple - Adrien needed to stop being a dolt and leave her alone. Find someone else.
She scowls at the thought. Of course, he already tried that, and he tried it with Lila of all people. Ugh, recalling Lila’s nasally, love-dovey voice as she spoke of her new amore, it made Chloe want to pour bleach in her ears.
Thankfully, that didn’t last long, but the soap opera of a non-relationship continued. But still, Chloe chose not to intervene. It wasn’t her business, and she’d only make it worse. And so, she stuck to doing little things with Sabrina and left it at that.
Seeing Bewitched descend on school property for the first time, she started to think that maybe that was a bad idea.
The sound of footsteps landing behind her gets her heart racing, and a smile widens across her face, temporarily erasing her fears.
“Ladybug! You’re finally-”
Her smile immediately fades when she sees the two figures, and none of them are Ladybug. Chat Noir stands, looking annoyed at having to be there with them. Ugh, the nerve! I’ll show that overgrown furball!
The girl isn’t Ladybug, but she clearly has the ladybug miraculous, merged with the dragon. But she isn’t Dragonbug either - her hair is too short, her eyes are a different color, and she doesn’t regard Chloe, her Queen Bee, with quite the same warmth that’s traditional of her hero.
Chloe knew of the rumors that Cesaire had  been posting on her little blog, that Chat Noir had desperately been pining for Ladybug for so long, but she insisted that their relationship needed to stay professional. Someday, it said, they would be official.
Not that she believed they were true, but she can’t help but be suspicious that it had something to do with her not being here right now.
Or it’s nothing. Chloe just wants to know where her hero was.
“You’re not Ladybug! Where is she?
“There’s been a complication,” the new Dragonbug states, “I’m standing in for her now.”
“Well that’s just great,” she retorts, “Dupain-Cheng gets akumatized into one of the most powerful villains we’ve come to face, and Ladybug isn’t here!”
“You can blame this one for that,” new Dragonbug sighs, pointing to Chat Noir. He doesn’t even bother acknowledging Chloe with a glance, tapping his foot on the ground, and looking at his wrist as if he had a watch. To be fair, she isn’t the only one unimpressed; the new Dragonbug looks ready to clock him as well. “If he hadn’t decided his feelings were more important than respecting his partner and doing his job-”
“Marinette and I were in love,” he argues, “If it weren’t for everyone else-”
“Wait, wait, wait,” Chloe interrupts, “Blame Chat Noir for what? Getting Dupain-Cheng akumatized? Or Ladybug leaving? Or… You and Dupain-Cheng in love? What about Ladybug? What about that video on the Ladyblog?”
Something doesn’t quite add up here. About a day or two ago, the Ladyblog thought it’d be terrific news to share a video of a fan secretly recording Chat Noir profess his love to Ladybug. Chloe had no idea what that had to do with fighting Hawkmoth or anything important, actually, but the reactions were intense. Everyone at school the next day was passionately discussing how they wanted Ladybug and Chat Noir to just get together already. Apparently, “LadyNoir” was the number one ship in the class just after “Adrinette”
Ugh, she wrinkles her nose, who came up with these lame nicknames?
She wanted to comment that posting such a silly story in what was supposed to be a well-respected news source was downright dangerous, but she knew she looked like a hypocrite.
And so she stayed quiet about that too.
Maybe, for once in her life, opening her big mouth might have actually proven useful.
“There’s no way that this is just a coincidence,” Chloe points out, “Ladybug isn’t here when Dupain-Cheng is akumatized. Both of them were dealing with stubborn suitors that couldn’t take a hint… unless…” She shakes her head at the possibility, but voices it anyway, “There’s either some sort of conspiracy going on around here, or those two are exactly the same. Which means that Chat Noir is...”
She locks eyes with Chat Noir, and regrets it the moment that she does. Without the cat ears, the glowing green eyes, he has to be-
“Yes, it’s me,” he sighs, “Marinette is Ladybug and I’m Adrien.”
“I suppose we’re just telling everybody now,” the Dragonbug groans, “All that’s left is telling Rena Rouge and Carapace, if they haven’t been caught by now.”
There’s not enough time to sit and process everything, so Chloe decides she will deal with Dupain-Cheng being Ladybug later. That’s not what bothers her.
“You hurt her,” Chloe says, still holding Chat’s gaze.
“You hurt her,” he argues, “All I’ve ever wanted to do was defend her.”
“Well, you sure did a shitty job of doing it, Adrik- Adrien,” she scoffs, “Yeah, I hurt Dupain-Cheng a lot over the years. Gave her hell for the hell of it. And I always thought I’d be the one that end up getting her akumatized. But you…” she bites her lip, looking away. Ugh, she doesn’t want tears. It’s going to mess up her mascara, and that’s not a good look for Queen Bee. “You were supposed to be the better one of us two.”
“There is no us. I only love Marinette, Chloe.”
“That’s not what I’m talking about, and you damn well know that!” Chloe retorts, “You know what? Maybe I don’t know how to be a good friend. And I thought being a better person meant keeping myself out of other people’s business. What the hell did I know?”
The tears that threaten to spill are hotter now, and she has to look away to rub them away. Dragonbug’s sympathetic glance burns at the back of her head, and Chloe can’t help, for once, feeling sorry for her. This is supposed to be a simple retrieval mission, and by this point, Chloe should have already transformed.
“There’s two things that I know,” she finally says, making her voice even. No one is ever going to hear her crack. “One, is that while you’re a gorgeous, pretty boy, your insides are rotten to the core, just like me. Takes one to know one, I suppose. But two, Adrien, darling,” she looks back over her shoulder to stare at him, “Is that I’m going to be the hero Ladybug… no, Dupain-Cheng chose to trust. The one that you’ll never get to be again.”
He has the audacity to scoff yet again. “You’ll never-”
“Shut up,” the Dragonbug yells, tossing the comb to Chloe, “We have work to do. If you’re going to prove yourself to your hero, Chloe Bourgeois, you better get going.”
Pollen’s sweet greeting is the only thing that manages to ease her heart for a moment. Following her transformation, she follows the other two heroes off the roof and down into the city.
Hang on, Ladybug.
--
He’s not the sort to mind silence. Luka finds silence to be beautiful, just as any note he strums on the guitar, or the river of the Seine running below the houseboat, or the song of someone’s soul being happy and airy.
And while Felix is the stony, stoic type, he’s never minded passing silence with him. There’s an understanding between the two of them that allows for quiet to be comfortable, rather than awkward.
This is the first time Luka has ever dreaded the silence.
He’s only glad that Felix is here with him, because he isn’t sure he could bear it otherwise.
Well, Sass, the snake kwami is also there with him, hiding in his pocket. Every now and then, as he’s running, he can’t help but study the bangle that sits on his wrist, and hope that it’s going to be enough to help calm Marinette down. He doesn’t want to fight her, but according to what Sass told him, the power he grants won’t physically harm anyone.
They resurface onto the streets of Paris, with almost no one out and about. He takes a quick scan to make sure that they’re safe to move about. Marinette is almost certain to be heading to Le Grand Paris in pursuit of Chat Noir and Queen Bee, but from what Felix told him about her powers-
“Where could she be?” Felix muses, interrupting his trail of thought. “Kagami would have told us if she was already at the hotel. And Adrien is the only other person she’d be going after to curse…”
“What if she’s looking for more allies?” Luka points out, “What if she’s looking for-”
An approaching shadow from behind him makes him jump and turn around.
“Us.”
In most of the media coverage he saw of Marinette, she was either smirking or condemning the object of her rage with a single glare. The sound in her heart was pretty similar to when they first met, and the time he cheered her up before going on their ice skating date. But it’s far angrier. He hears more shredding guitar and heavy pounding of drums.
That sound instantly vanishes as she regards both of the boys. It’s replaced with the light strumming of a harp and a warm glow lights up her eyes.
“I found you.”
It pains him to hear such a gentle song in a soundtrack of a tragedy. Well, maybe that’s a bit extreme.
One glance at Felix confirms he feels the same way too.
“Marinette-”
“It’s Bewitched,” she corrects, her soft expression never faltering.
“Bewitched,” Luka says, “I’m sorry if we hurt you in any way-”
“You didn’t. Of course you didn’t. I know you two and Kagami, you would never try to hurt me.”
For a moment, Luka forgets the akuma form, and only sees Marinette. Marinette smiling through the pain she didn’t want to share. Marinette, whose heart’s song was full of record scratching and plucked guitar strings. Marinette, who only looked happy when she got news that she was going to China over break, and practically disappeared off the map.
“Mari-” Felix clears his throat, “Bewitched. Please tell us exactly what happened.”
Her lips curl inward, and she averts her gaze. “It doesn’t matter.”
“If it upset you, then it does matter,” Felix argues, “Please, don’t push us away anymore.”
She shakes her head, averting her gaze. “It’s only a matter of time before I find Adrien. Make him see the error of his ways.” A pause before a smile creeps across her face and she has the courage to look at them again. “Once he’s dealt with, we’ll never have to worry again. I promise.”
It’s difficult to hide the hurt in his eyes, and upon seeing him, it seems Marinette is also hurt by it. Her words are supposed to be encouraging, calm like the ocean waves rolling onto the land, kissing sandy toes.
Of course, he knew it was the smart thing not to bring his guitar, but he wished he had it now. If she could only hear the sound her own heart was playing.
“Don’t look at me like that,” she quivers, as though she’s about to cry. “You know I care about you deeply. But I couldn’t ask you to take this on for me.”
“Why not?”
“It wouldn’t be fair.”
“So it’s more fair to pile all of that on yourself?” Felix asks.
“Please, we want to help,” Luka insists.
“You do?”
His nod is immediate, and from the way she melts regarding him, she knows that he’s being sincere and truthful. Slowly, she begins to move her hand from her side.
“There’s one way you can help.”
In a flash, he’s shoved hard out of the way and onto the ground. Looking up, he realizes what Felix just did.
And that he’s now glowing pink.

Mayura Over-Analysis! (Heroes Day - Part 2)
We start off with Ladybug worrying that Hawk Moth’s clearly had time to come up with such an elaborate plan, yet they’re completely unprepared. And Chat Noir does what he does best and reassures her that they can do it. Both Marinette and Ladybug have doubts and fears that they express, and Adrien and Chat Noir are always there to remind her of how amazing she is and she can do whatever it is that’s troubling or worrying her.  Hawk Moth seriously had Guitar Villain and Frightningale perform some pretty bad-ass music for the fight. What a mood. Carapace saving Chat Noir makes me so happy. Neither knew that the other’s their best friend. Please let these two become closer in S3! Rena Rouge calling Queen Bee “Chloe” and her remark of wanting to be called Queen Bee amuses me. Using Chloe’s identity as a weak spot to start dismantling Team Miraculous was smart. And it’s really nice to see the consequences of an identity being revealed. To those that think the reveal should happen just for the sake of a reveal, this is why it hasn’t come yet. Chat Noir launching Queen Bee, idk why, but I love it. Using Dark Cupid as fuel for akumas was so brilliant! To utilize him in such a way was something that I’m sure most, if not all of us, ever thought to do. Imagine all the possibilities with fics now. Team Miraculous working together is honestly the coolest thing ever. They work so well despite it being their first time as a group. RENA ROUGE TAKING AN ARROW FOR CARAPACE AND HIS REACTION ;-; Queen Bee jumping in to protect them is just beautiful. No hesitation. no words other than to say she wasn’t going to break... Carapace’s scream when Rena Rouge got akumatized. MY HEART CAN’T HANDLE THIS. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Just the fact that Nino gets akumatized because he’s upset over things that happen to people he cares about says all you really need to know about Nino Lahiffe. The fact Prime Queen thinks Ladybug and Chat Noir ultimately killed themselves to escape the akumas is hilarious. YES THEY TOTALLY DESTROYED THEMSELVES AND GAVE UP. /sarcasm Plagg sharing his cheese <3 Plagg loves that Camembert more than anything we’ve seen, but he actually loves Adrien more. x3 Now we see Adrien comforting Marinette (though no identity reveal!) again and reminding her of her words of hope. As they’re on opposite sides of a wall. The parallels in this show are truly one of my favorite things. “Well it’s the return of the working formula, a duo. You and I against the whole world!” TOTALLY NOT CRYING AT THIS Also remembered Tikki and Plagg know the identity of LB and CN. I wonder what they thought during this scene. ADRIEN AND MARINETTE JUMP OFF A SEVERAL DOZEN FEET/METER DROP. TOGETHER. WITH THEIR EYES SHUT. AND TRANSFORM MID-AIR. TOGETHER. WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST EPIC SCENE IN THE SHOW SO FAR. They said “detransformation” and I gasped. For that split second, even though I knew deep down they wouldn’t actually reveal themselves, I got scared. Even akumatized, Rena Rouge and Carapace stuck together. Awwwwww x3 VIVE LA FRANCE ! Citizens taking charge and being heroes for a day and helping Ladybug and Chat Noir! How beautiful is that? Leading the front line: Marc, Luka x3, Nora, Alya’s mother, Luka and Juleka’s mother, Marinette’s parents and grandmother. YES. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LINEUP. OMG Manon is there too. She’s fighting to save her mother! Gina helping Ladybug up is so aww. And Alya’s mom telling her they’re so glad to see them again, and will fight to slow them down to give Ladybug and Chat Noir time save the day. These citizens are proving you don’t have to have superpowers to be a hero is such a wonderful message. The pilots circling Gorizilla like that are seriously sacrificing themselves. How easy it must be to make a mistake and crash. “Are you sure you’re not making a huge mistake? That the wish I want to make won’t be a huge benefit?” Wait, hold up. I remember seeing a picture taken in a studio of Gabriel and Ladybug in the room that holds Emilie, before we ever saw the room in Gorizilla so it was certainly not edited. What if somehow there’s some kind of truth to what he’s saying here? What if things aren’t quite as black and white as they appear? Hmmm..... “Whatever may be your wish, it must be evil seeing the chaos you’re creating.” Chat Noir being the one to say it. Wow, if only you knew you precious boy. When you think that it’s Marinette and Adrien fighting Gabriel. These two look up to Gabriel so much, and Gabriel genuinely cares about both of them. Ahhh the drama that’ll arise from this someday. Lila being stuck on the Eiffel Tower again XD Hawk Moth saying he’s a man that has nothing left to lose doesn’t sit well with me. Especially as he BEATS UP HIS SON. “Unable to stay in your form after using your powers.” So Hawk Moth clearly can, but they can’t. Yet.
CARAPACE TO THE RESCUE! Their poses together. So cool. I wonder if after all of this, Alya and Nino will start to see Chloe even slightly differently. Whoa, Hawk Moth’s actually worried about Nathalie’s well-being to beg her not to do what she’s about to do? Still unsure about her powers. Clearly they were used to protect and distract but who knows what they’re capable of. Nathalie risking her life to save him, and being appreciative of it? We’ve now learned the Miraculous is damaged, and causes harm to the holder if they wield it. I’m now thinking that happened to Emilie, and that’s why she’s in the state she’s in. He seemed to know very well how dangerous it is. But this bodes the question: What were Gabriel and Emilie doing in Tibet to try to find the grimoire and Miraculous? Did they simply crave power, or did they have another motive? Did this motive have to do with Adrien, and is that really the reason why he’s always been so sheltered? I’m not sure I understand Lila’s anger here. She sees her class together, eating and enjoying each other’s company. She could’ve had that if she didn’t mess everything up for herself. I also feel bad for Sabrina that Chloe hurt her feelings, but you’d think by now she’d know Chloe won’t eat anything homemade and is especially picky. Chloe could’ve handled it a lot better, but also Chloe handled it better than she normally would have so I’m not sure what to think. Alya’s “Nope, can’t sit here, Adrien. Nope, not here either. But why don’t you sit over there next to Marinette?” scene was awesome, and Mylene warning Marinette that he was coming was such a small thing, but very appreciated! The fact Adrien remembers EVERYTHING MARINETTE’S DONE FOR PEOPLE, and then calls her their everyday Ladybug was the best compliment Adrien could have ever given her. The love and respect he has for Ladybug, to compare Marinette to her means so much. I know Adrien said “You get to be my Ladybug” to her in Evillustrator, and that was significant as well, calling someone else “his Ladybug” but this really shows where he stands when it comes to her. Then calling her “Super Marinette”. YES MARINETTE, YOU GO GET HIM, GIRL! And of course, gotta be your clumsy self but the fact that the entire class was like in shock that Marinette was actually going to do something AND THEN SHE DID. Finally kissed Adrien! On the cheek. But it was amazing! The boy’s in shock, but he’s happy about it so this is a lovely start! The entire class is still just sitting there in shock like “Did she really just do that?” *cheers erupt* Max is still like “What?” and Kim’s the most ecstatic, it would seem, about Marinette kissing Adrien. Maybe he’s secretly a hopeless romantic. Or he really cares about Marinette’s happiness. Or both. Either way, that was sweet. And Chloe doesn’t even seem upset or anything, so that’s a bonus. Then she realizes she stepped in the pie, and pretends like she hadn’t as she watches Adrien leave and the class continues to cheer, while fireworks begin going off and the season comes to an end. This episode was way more than I ever expected it to be. I loved being shocked and surprised, seeing the different kinds of relationships and bonds, and watching the team finally work together. This episode made me genuinely happy, looking forward to more, but not leaving off on a cliffhanger that has me frustrated to know what happens next like S1 did. Instead of a direct continuation from the same day from the end of S1 to the beginning of S2, there could be a small amount of time in between S2 and S3, making them distinct, and I like that. Also, I know we live in a time where people are encouraged to be independent, not to need to rely on anyone, and not to need anyone for any reason. Ladybug and Chat Noir show that separately they can do great things, but together, they’re a force. They are at their most powerful when together, and they provide each other with what the other lacks. Mayura really showcased that, and it’s certainly going to lead into S3.
