I recently had the idea to draw the Titans in ancient indian clothing, this is the one I had been working on for Nightwing. I originally started with Starfire, but I didn't like the result. On top of that I changed the way I color things and the one of Starfire is still in the old style. It's also not colored very well, so there's that as well. I'll probably try recreating it with my new style of coloring.
The main inspiration for the clothing were carved pillar decorations of apsaras by the way. The pose for Starfire I based on an image of an Indian fairytale I saw on Pinterest.

"The feminine cannot, will not surrender
To the wounded masculine...
A man who criticizes her
Belittles
Dishonours
Controls
Manipulates
Abuses
Or attacks her
Her own inner masculine will not allow it
He will rise fiercely to the forefront
To stand guard
To do the job himself
The feminine can and will only surrender
To the divine masculine...
A man who is devoted to her
Elevates
Honours
Cherishes
Supports
And protects her
A man with boundaries
Presence
Direction
Integrity
Accountability
And humility
In this space
She will feel him penetrating her very essence...
Her body
Her mind
Her heart
Her soul
And she will feel safe...
Safe enough to surrender
This is the natural law
This is the dance of healed polarities
This is surrender...
To Love"

[Asian] Elephant and [Indian] Rhinoceros in File, cylinder seal (impression), Harappa, Indus Valley, c. 2500 BCE
With bonus crocodilians! (Gharials?)
The photo is of an enlarged impression made of the original cylinder seal from the 1930s excavations at Tell Asmar. Even though it was found in Mesopotamia, it was identified as an import from the Indus Valley. See full record here: https://archive.org/details/ancientsealsofne34marti/page/n19/mode/2up

The best part about the Chola and Palas styles of sculptures is that everyone's got dat smol waist and wide hips, male or female ☠️
Sometimes the faces are so androgynous idek what their gender is until I look at the chest area
Also these styles are the ones I consider "Everyone's a twink" Styles.
