Hegde claims, Fadnavis saved Rs. 40,000 worth funds from getting misused

In a sensational message, BJP MP Anant Kumar Hegde has said that the decision of making Devendra Fadnavis Maharashtra's chief minister despite lacking majority support was because we wanted to prevent central funds worth Rs 40,000 crore from being misused.

Anant Kumar, who is MP for Uttara Kannada (Karnataka), on Saturday said that the decision was to ensure that the fund aren’t misused which would otherwise happened if a coalition led by the Shiv Sena would have come to power.

For the uninitiated, a coalition which included the Congress and the NCP was working hard to come to power when Devendra Fadnavis was made the CM of Maharashtra after receiving support from a rebel NCP leader, Ajit Pawar.

Hedge further said that it tool Fadnavis only 15 hours to save the money and the money is now safe with the Central Government.

He further added that it was a staged drama from BJP.

However, those who are close to Fadnavis said that the remarks are bogus and are based on a WhatsApp forward.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that it is nothing but "treachery".

Devendra Fadnavis, who was sworn in as the CM of Maharashtra stepped down when Ajit Pawar took back his support. This happened before the Supreme Court directed a floor test to check whether or not the government has majority.

Now, Uddhav Thackeray is the newly appointed CM of Maharashtra who formed his government with support from Congress party. Uddhav made a recent announcement on Sunday in which he said that he wants to review the Mumbai metro project and till the time he gets the report, the project will be paused.

In a vindictive manner, Thackeray said, “We will review the bullet train project just like we have not stayed the Metro project.”
