Half Fanboy Fail Friday! Parks and Recreation Paleyfest Panel! Amy Poehler Is nice… The Rest of the cast… Doh!
So, I’m calling this Half Fanboy Fail…
I mean… Okay…. Its tough. I went into the Parks and Rec Paleyfest panel with little to no inkling that the cast was going to be nice. This is traditionally one of the toughest casts in the world to get, some people. Cough, cough, Retta have been downright rude to me.
Others, cough, cough, Nick Offerman have been nasty and other like Chris Pratt have been…

RFA reacting to MC being part of a K-Pop group(Gender neutral)
Yasssss x hope you enjoy this x Thanks for the request baby xx @cheshire-cat-15 Decided on a gender neutral MC so all my MC’s out there can feel included xx
YOOSUNG
When you and Yoosung first met, he recognized you immediately.
“Omg MC, why didn’t tell me you were the MC from [ instert K-pop group name here] ?!?!?!??!?!?”
He fangirls SO HARD.
He loves K-pop!
He loves when you practice in front him.
He even learns your dances and songs with you.
He loves your voice so much.
He begs you to sing him to sleep some nights.
And don’t you know he brags to all his LOLOL friends.
“Yup, I’m dating MC from [ instert K-pop group name here ]. Honey come here and sing to show them I’m not lying!!!!!”
ZEN
Zen was sort of familiar with the group you were in.
He had heard of them once or twice before.
He thinks you are amazing.
Always helps you while rehearsing.
Sings all your songs with you.
Wants the two of ye to perform together sometime.
You both go to all of each others shows.
He gets kinda jealous of the fact that thousands of men and woman all over Korea love you.
But you reassure him that you’ve only eyes for him.
Jaehee freaks out.
“This will create such a big scandal!!!”
JAEHEE
Jaehee hadn’t heard about your group until you told her.
But OH BOY
FANGIRL MODE:ON
She literally becomes your biggest fan.
She buys all your merch.
All your albums.
She love your group as much as she loves Zen.
She is like your manager.
And actually worries about her relationship with you ruining your career.
Jaehee bby no.
You teach her some dance moves but at first she’s kinda embarrassed doing them.
But when she gets into it she loves it.
Omg if you and Zen performed together...
JAEHEE KANG WILL STOP FUNCTIONING.
JUMIN
You have to explain it to him.
He doesn’t listen to much mainstream music, he prefers classical.
But when he sees you perform for the first time, he thinks its the cutest thing ever.
Especially the dancing.
He hires the best choreographers for you and your group.
Begs you to put Elizabeth in one of your music videos.
Omg and when you dress in cat ears for one of your performances.
He dies.
He loves watching you rehearse around the house but will never join in.
Sometimes you try to get him to join in and it’s just so funny cause he looks so uncomfortable in dancing in his suit.
Buys you cute costumes all of the time.
SAEYOUNG/ 707
Seven knew already cause yanno he did that damn background check.
But he never brought it up until you two met in person.
You know Amy Poehler’s character in ‘Mean Girls’?
Saeyoung is like that.
He knows off all your dances and songs.
And whenever he goes to see your shows he’s in the audience like
“YES MC SHAKE THEM HIPS. COPY ME HUNNY LOOK.”
And he brings like a massive sign that blocks everyone behind him’s view.
“MC’S BIGGEST FAN!!!!!”
Oh and he dresses up in all your costumes with you.
He does the same thing he did for Zen to your group, to make you more popular.
Helps you practice all your moves.
Does mini performances with you in the sitting room for Saeran and sometimes Yoosung whenever he calls over
Poor Saeran.
Also has all your merch and has a poster of you in the kitchen.

The 10 Best Drinks Movies of All Time (and What to Sip While Watching)
Relaxing with a great drink in your hand and an excellent movie cued up on your screen is one of life’s great, simple pleasures. It’s also something many of us have more time to do now than ever before.
Perhaps it’s no coincidence that many of the best movies of all time include a heavy focus on imbibing, from ongoing thematic references to entire booze-soaked plots: The night of excess and its regrettable decisions; the plot hatched in the bar’s back booth; the frat house party; the alcohol-fortified hero.
If discovering the perfect match between a glass of wine and a bite of cheese amplifies the pleasure of both, then why not do the same by finding the just-right drinks to pair with the best drinks movies?
Of course, even if you’re stuck Netflix-and-chilling by yourself, there are now ways to get friends in on the fun virtually. For instance, with Netflix Party, you can synchronize playback through Google Chrome while participating in a group chat through the same interface.
From iconic films to debauched comedies, here’s what to watch — and what to drink while you do.
10. The 007 James Bond Franchise
Few movie characters are as inclined to imbibe as James Bond. Author Ian Fleming both giveth and taketh away, though. While he’s responsible for the creation of the Vesper, his words haven’t always been to the betterment of booze: Some say that “shaken not stirred” stunted the advancement of cocktails for decades. (Hate-mail disclaimer: Martinis are a personal matter, so make them as you please).
As you’re working your way through the anthology and arrive at “GoldenEye,” switch up your drink to the cocktail of the same name. It’s the house cocktail at the GoldenEye Resort in Jamaica, and was concocted by Chris Blackwell, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, creator of Blackwell Rum, and owner of the estate since the mid- 1970s.
According to Blackwell, the drink, which fittingly is a visual match for its name, was a creation of convenience. “I simply put equal amounts of pineapple juice and rum in the cocktail shaker and took a sip,” he says. “It was too sweet, so I added some fresh-squeezed lime to taste. And there it was.”
It’s a welcome drink for his guests, and a new drink for you to sip on while watching Brosnan-era Bond. Blackwell is even collaborating on a 007 Limited Edition of his rum, which will be released this fall in conjunction with the franchise’s 25th effort, “No Time To Die.”
9. Wine Country
The newest edition to the list of best drinks movies is 2019’s “Wine Country.” Directed by Amy Poehler, and starring a six-strong cast of female comedic heavyweights, the movie is centered on a 50th birthday weekend getaway in Napa Valley.
When you can’t head out for a weekend of in-person wine tasting, bring the wine into your living room. A number of Napa Valley wineries are currently offering virtual tastings. The list includes AXR Winery, B Cellars, Clos du Val, Round Pond Estate, and St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery.
Sign up for one, do the tasting, then start the movie and polish off all those bottles you just opened. Or pair with any Napa Valley wine to feel the “Wine Country” vibe.
8. Cocktail
“Cocktail” stands tall 32 years later as the zenith of bad 1980s cocktail culture. Neon lights, flair bartending, and cringeworthy shot names — it’s all there, now with some measure of nostalgic appeal (who doesn’t want to sidle up to a beachfront bar these days?).
Of course, there’s no shortage of options for what you should be imbibing while watching. One needs only to pull up the “The Last Barman Poet” scene, in which Tom Cruise mentions a dozen different concoctions: “The Sex on the Beach, the Schnapps made from peach, the Velvet Hammer, the Alabama Slammer. I make things with juice and froth. The Pink Squirrel, the 3-Toed Sloth. I make drinks so sweet and snazzy. The Iced Tea, the Kamikaze, the Orgasm, the Death Spasm, the Singapore Sling, the Ding-a-ling.”
Thankfully, if you can’t quite settle on any of the above, Cruise’s character has mercy on us at the end of his recital: “America you’re just devoted to every flavor I got. But if you want to get loaded, why don’t you just order a shot?”
7. The Frat Party: Animal House and Old School
“Old School” and “Animal House” together represent the classic new and, well, old school takes on the frat movie. You’re probably never going to agree with your dad on which is better, either. It’s a generational preference whether you lean into the John Belushi-powered 1978 film, or the 2003 flick with Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, and Luke Wilson.
What everyone can agree on is that you’re drinking beer for this movie-drinks pairing; there’s no way around that. And not a 4-pack of your favorite triple dry-hopped, semi-naturally fermented, seasonal farmhouse hazy IPA, either. This calls for a case of your cheap, collegiate, macro beer standby. Maybe it’s Schlitz, maybe it’s PBR. You do you.
6. The Hangover (Three-Part Series)
We’ve all been there. A night gets a little out of hand. Memories are foggy. Everything hurts. Of course, this doesn’t usually involve tigers, Mike Tyson, potential kidnappings, and hastily arranged marriages. The antics only continue in later films, from Tyson-style face tattoos in Thailand to hasty trips to Tijuana. That’s what makes “The Hangover” great: It’s hilarious and relatable while still letting you off the hook, in an “at least my friends and I aren’t that bad” kind of way.
The truth is, you’re most likely watching this while nursing your own hangover. So mix up a Bloody Mary or something low-ABV with fresh juice to bring yourself back up to speed.
5. Swingers
“Swingers” sports the classic scene of Jon Favreau ordering a Scotch, “A Scotch on the rocks, please. Any Scotch will do, as long as it’s not a blend, of course. A single malt. Glenlivet, Glenfiddich perhaps. Maybe a Glengow… any Glen.”
The movie is also a favorite of the drinks industry today. “I love the movie ‘Swingers,'” says Elayne Duff, a consultant and strategist with Duff On The Rocks. For her, the 1996 movie brings back memories of the era. “We had a very cool version of this secret bar with a swing band [in the Lower East Side of New York]. I went there almost every Saturday night and drank Cosmopolitans; it was the ’90s, after all. This movie was money, as they like to say, so many great lines and Vince Vaughn was at his best.”
“Maybe I’ve been incepted by all the movie posters I’ve seen with Vince Vaughn, Martini in hand, or maybe it’s the way I can relate to both Mike and Trent at different times in my life, but I don’t think I’ve ever watched that movie without some form of drink in hand,” says Trevor Frye, the president of Wash Line LLC, who has also been running the B.A.R.E. SolidariT-shirt fundraising project, selling shirts and stickers to provide donations to hospitality professionals.
So drink a Cosmo, a Martini, any Glen you can find, or, in Frye’s case, just the whiskey of your choice. “I’d sip on a whiskey with some bite to it. E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof and Noah’s Mill are currently open on my desk, and either would do just fine,” Frye says. “And water; like a deli quart’s worth of water.”
4. Casablanca
If you asked any film buff to name the most famous movies, “Casablanca” would likely be on the list. This Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman vehicle happened to be set, predominantly, in a nightclub and casino, Rick’s Café Américain. (Word to wise: Don’t bother if you and when you find yourself in Morocco; the actual establishment may fall short of what you’ve envisioned).
There’s plenty of drinking in the movie, as you’d expect, and much of it is centered around Champagne. You’ll want to drink some bubbles yourself while watching, ideally out of a coupe glass to match the stylish, classic vibes. Intersperse that with the occasional French 75 or Champagne Cocktail, both of which are mentioned, to keep the mood going all night long.
3. Lost in Translation
What does Bill Murray whisper to Scarlett Johansson in the final scene of “Lost in Translation”? We may never know. What we do know is the line he says over and over again while filming his character’s television commercial, “For relaxing times, make it Suntory time.”
Unless you’re sitting on a secret cache of Yamazaki 18 year-old or Hakushu 18 year-old — in which case, we’ll be right over — a Highball is the way to go here, deploying a blended whisky like Suntory Toki and your favorite high-carbonation soda water.
2. Sideways
We all remember Paul Giamatti’s infamous quote: “I am NOT drinking any f*cking Merlot!” So devastating was the impact, that a decade and a half after the release of “Sideways,” California Merlot is only recently rebounding in the mind of consumers.
When you watch, consider doing the opposite of Giamatti and finding an excellent bottle of Merlot to accompany the film. There’s no shortage of serious, truly delicious Merlots coming out of California right now.
1. The Big Lebowski
The Dude and a White Russian. Name a more iconic duo; we’ll wait. The comedy classic from the Coen brothers is the perfect excuse to wear your pajamas all day long while steadfastly maintaining a drink in one hand.
The cocktail is easy to make, too: Just pour two ounces vodka and one ounce coffee liqueur over ice in a rocks glass. Top with an ounce of heavy cream. A flick of your wrist is the only stirring you really need. Up for an epic drinking-game challenge? Drink not only when The Dude drinks, but when the word “dude,” is spoken, which is apparently 160 times. Good luck!

Photos of Celebrities at Women’s Marches Around the World
One day after Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president, protestors took to the streets of Washington, D.C. — and other cities around the world — in opposition of the reality star's policies not just on women's rights but human rights. While celebrities stayed away from the inauguration, they came out in droves for the Women’s Marches with Amy Schumer, Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry, Amy Poehler, Chelsea Handler, Madonna, Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, and Ashley Judd among those lending their voices to the cause. And, yes, many of them rocked pink pussy hats.

Post Two: New York City (Part One)
Because we spent 10 days in New York City, I decided to split it up into parts so that the post doesn’t go on forever. This post is all about our experience in the famous SNL line, and getting to see the show live.
Day Four: Friday 15 December 2017
We got on our bus to New York at around 3.30 am and arrived in the city at 8 am. The bus ride itself was okay, we all tried our best to get some sleep and to sober up. I woke up as we were approaching the city - the sun was rising and it was unbelievably beautiful. I’ve been wanting to visit NYC for a long time now, so for my first sighting of it to be with the sky full of pinks and oranges was pretty amazing!
We got off the bus and walked around for a bit. We hadn’t thought our plan through very well though - we were going to leave all of our suitcases at a luggage hold business, but after we walked all the way there, we realised that it looked super dodgy. I had everything I would need for the next two years with me, and I didn’t want to risk it. So we walked all the way back to the train station near where we got off the bus, and checked it in there. Once we were bag-free, we got an Uber to Rockefeller Centre! To a lot of people, this is just another building, but for us it was a VERY big deal. It’s where they film Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers (to name a few). It’s also where the TV show 30 Rock is set. Basically, a super important place for us NBC nerds. Here are our first few photos in New York:
After we walked around the whole building (and saw the giant Rockefeller Christmas tree and ice skating rink) we found our way to the ‘SNL Line’. SNL stands for Saturday Night Live, a live sketch comedy show that airs every Saturday night. There is a main cast full of comedians who perform every week, and then a guest host (who is normally promoting a show or movie). A lot of super famous people have gotten their start on the show - people like Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Amy Poehler. You can’t buy tickets to see the show live, but there are three ways to get your hands on them. First, be super famous and get given them (none of us are famous so that one was out). Second, enter your name into a draw and win them. Unfortunately, this option wouldn’t work for us, because if you do win them, you cannot dictate the date. So we were left with the last option, which is wait in a line, outside, for almost an entire day, to get stand-by tickets. The earlier you line up, the more likely you are of getting in on your stand-by tickets.
So, we arrived at ‘the line’ at midday on the Friday (the show wasn’t on until late Saturday night, bare in mind). We were shocked to see there were only about 7 or 8 people already lining up (normally it would already be super busy, but the bad weather had scared most people off). We got our spot and started chatting to some of the people around us. We met an older lady who had been lining up for SNL tickets for about 20 years, a true seasoned pro. She told us about all of the different guest hosts she’d seen live, one being Lucy Lawless in the 90s! She offered to help us, since we came very unprepared for the night (and snow) that we had to endure over the next 19 hours. She took Lauren and Anya to a dollar store nearby and they came back with folding chairs, blankets and a shower curtain. We set up our little shower-curtain-igloo and settled in for the long-haul.
We learnt a lot about ‘the line’ and all of the unspoken rules that went along with it. One being, that you could leave the line and have your spot still be there when you get back, if you got back within 30 minutes or so. We took advantage of this and took turns going to Starbucks and the 24 hour Deli that was nearby for warmth and shelter. Despite all of our blankets and many layers of clothes, it was still FREEZING. We made friends with some guys who were there as part of their job. Their official title was ‘line sitters’, they basically get paid to wait in lines for hours and hours, and the person paying them takes over just before the tickets are handed out. They had big sleeping bags, but even they said it was the coldest it had ever been. The snow didn’t help that, either! However, SNL did provide us with some hot soup around dinner time, so that was super lovely!
Around midnight - we’d been outside waiting for 12 hours - we all hit rock bottom. We’d been sitting outside for 4 hours straight trying to get some sleep. None of us actually did, instead we just got so bloody cold that we all felt like giving up. We went inside the Deli to warm ourselves up and gave ourselves a pep talk.
Day Five: Saturday 16 December 2017
We decided that we needed to keep moving/walking in order to stay warm, so we went on a trip to see Times Square.
We all cheered when we saw the Impeach Trump sign (if only they actually would) and I excitedly ran around finding all of the Waitress promo posters (Waitress is my favourite Broadway musical, but more on that later). It was a super cool/weird first experience of Times Square - because it was the middle of the night, there was barely anyone around. I’m so used to seeing pictures/movies with it absolutely bustling with people. It was pretty awesome to be able to explore it without people everywhere.
Once we got back to the line, it was the home stretch. An NBC Page (intern) came down at 7 am and started handing out stand-by tickets. It was so exciting, especially because we were so far up the line that it was almost certain we’d be getting in and seeing the show later that night. We couldn’t stop grinning once we had them in our hands:
Afterwards, we had a quick stop in Starbucks to somewhat recharge before getting our bags from the train station. As soon as our accommodation was ready, we headed there and then immediately collapsed into bed. At this point, we had barely slept for two days, so we were very thankful to be horizontal and sleeping.
When we woke up, we excitedly got dressed and did our make up to see the show! We still didn’t know if we were going to get in for sure, but we were feeling optimistic! This is us just before we left:
I’ll try and explain this next bit really quickly (as this post has already gone on forever). We got to the Rockefeller Centre and were put back into the order we were in earlier. Then, we were taken through security and asked to line up on the other side to wait and see if we would get into the show. So right up until the absolute late minute, we still had no idea if we were getting in or not. All of a sudden we were being ushered in and put in an elevator, and then led down a corridor and into the studio where they film SNL. We were up the back and to the side but we didn’t care! All that mattered was we were in. We were all so excited looking around the studio and seeing everything in person, rather than on our TV screens. Even ‘dream come true’ is an understatement, we were honestly so excited and happy. It made the 19 hours in the snow totally worth it. The show started and we got to see all of the actresses and actors that we love in person. It’s such an surreal feeling to explain - I’ve been watching these people in this show and also in other shows/movies for years and suddenly I’m watching them do their stuff right in front of my eyes.
Scarlett Johansson (for anyone reading this that’s not up with pop culture, she’s super famous) did a cameo which was really cool, and at one point I turned around and Tyra Banks (American model, host of America’s Next Top Model) was just standing behind us watching the show. It was crazy!
The show was super funny! The host was Kevin Hart and the Foo Fighters were the musical guest. They were cool but I mostly just cared about the cast members. The cast members are known for greeting fans at the stage door, so when the show ended we headed there and got to see/meet a bunch of them! I’m going to talk about a bunch of people we saw, you’ll most likely have no idea who they are but for me, they’re a Very Big Deal so be excited on my behalf!
We saw Aidy Bryant and Melissa Villasenor, and we got to meet/take photos with Leslie Jones (top left), Mikey Day (top right), Alex Muffat (bottom left) and Cecily Strong (bottom right). They were all so lovely, and Cecily actually stopped and talked to us. She was quite drunk but it was so funny! We had the best time and I still can’t quite believe it.
I still smile just thinking about this day! Everything worked out exactly as we had hoped it would - we got standby tickets, got in to see the show, and then got to meet some of the cast. The only way it could have possibly been better would have been if we’d got to meet Kate McKinnon, one of the cast members, but she didn’t come out of the stage door unfortunately.
It probably all sounds a little crazy - sitting in the freezing cold and snow for 19 hours just to get a ticket to a show, but this was honestly a once in a lifetime kind of thing for us and I’m so glad we did it! Overall, it was one of the best nights of my life and I will cherish the memories forever.
After the show, we went back to our apartment and got some more much-needed sleep, ready for another day full of excitin’ stuff!

27 celebrities who proudly marched with fellow activists in the Women's March.
'We stand together.'
<br>
On Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, more than 2 million people all over the world marched for gender equality rights. Many celebrities were right there with them.
After all, female celebrities — no matter how famous they are — will not escape the gender injustices that are likely to arise in our new administration. So they took their place in the crowds alongside fellow activists, loudly echoing their sentiments every step of the way, as per the Women's March mission:
"We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country."
Some also used their celebrity status to push the message out even further by giving bold, impassioned speeches in front of the masses.

But whether they were in front of a microphone, holding a sign, or sporting a pink pussy hat, their presence among the masses was inspiring. So much of the march was about inclusivity and sharing that purpose with like-minded celebrities reminded people that no one is above that concept.
Here are 27 activist celebrities who marched for the cause.

Seeing the icons we look up to marching for what's right is one heck of a reminder that we're far from alone in this fight.
Their presence at these protests makes a difference on many levels, but perhaps the most significant is showing we are all unified under one purpose. And we are going to keep defending each other and every group marginalized under Trump's administration.
Over the next four years, we will be up against a government that may try to strip us of our human rights at every turn. The more powerful, publicly known voices who stand with us and amplify our frustrations, the harder it will be for them to be ignored.
