Ash has always seemed unconventionally attracted to Serena, the fact that he is so polite, kind, friendly and always complimenting everything she does is an indication, even in the beginning when he thanked her. I think people should share more insight into how Ash's love language for her is words of affirmation. He is falling so subtly even though people deny it (his affection for her doesn't necessarily have to be romantic allo)

The fact that Serena waited so long for him without any other crushes on her list gives me a vibe of emotional connection necessary for romance to happen, you see other characters like Tierno, Trevor and Saywer compliment her and even blush for her and try to make advances or compliments, but she is completely invested in the one who made her feel safe, protected, helped, and from the perspective of a neglected child it felt like the first time someone had actually listened to his concerns without brushing her fear a side, that didn't force her to do anything but helped her in her own time and maybe it didn't seem to have much of an impact because it was mentioned once or vaguely in a few episodes later, but to me it's about no one emotionally investing in her like Ash did. that feeling that she wouldn't fall in love with anyone else if that person didn't show that they were totally willing and available to show more than just "oh how beautiful she is" for an indication

Ash barely comments on beauty but seems to be okay with pleasing her and saying sincerely about how happy he is for her in such a genuine way that it works for her as well.

Many people say "SatoSere" but SatoSere would be > Ash loves Serena and is investing in feelings

"SereSato" has a more Serena-is-after-Satoshi-love approach as the show establishes this second dynamic more

Amourshipping does not have this separation because the Pokémon fandom culture is different from the others. There is no separation of dynamics so you end up saying everything at once.

You can also add "Amourdreamshipping" (It's on the Wiki as almost Amourshipping which I don't really like using) which is my own version to replace "SereSato" job can be Yuri or Yaoi whatever you want

Usually SereSato is male Satoshi crossdressing x Serena and does not involve Yuri SatoSere SereSato (Most of the Japanese SereSato fans I've met are at least fans of BL ships with Ash so I associate myself more with them than SatoSere fandom they usually draw more straight stuff) but this is my personal experience with the terms (just yesterday one of the people on my tl japanese on X talking about SereSato was a fujoshi as an example lol)

Of course there are factual differences between these two fandons on Anipoke with the 2nd involving more queer content than the 1st but the first option is more about Ash's reciprocal love for Serena if that makes sense

My Headcanon (PLEASE DON'T BE OFFENSIVE) and why I'm calling it Ashley's x Serena / Satoko (Japanese name for her OG female version) and Satomi (name for her BW female version) x Serena like this

In contrast, the international terms “transgender”, “genderqueer” or “non-binary” are rarely used for such gender identities in the Japan. (non-binary is ノンバイナリー) you can use this if you are a foreigner and want to know more about the community.

You can use non-binary terms but I like to leave an alternatives I feel like they are very erased in the Otaku LGBT community

Serena has a song about dreams, Serena has a dream of helping people with dreams and goals,there is the narrative at the end of episode JN150 about both working on their dreams

I don't know that another character besides Serena had such a strong theme in dreams as such a palpable concept, yes everyone has dreams but working on "how to go to one" with so many lines and nuances just she.

See, they all have their projects, they have their steps towards their dreams but the word is not as widespread in character and spread throughout Anipoke as Serena is in essence

Sometimes I forget that people don't pay attention to the nuances of Serena's character and think we only look at her ship, I just wanted to turn this into a more acceptable name, that didn't seem homophobic. Because I'm queer.

So I was a little confused when I saw these two sides fighting

Sometimes I look at Malan's drawings about SatoSere Yuri/Yaoi and I get extremely happy because it's something I've always wanted to do and seeing people approving makes me even happier.

But that means my insecurities about people rejecting the idea of SatoSere Yaoi-Yuri AUs were completely unfounded and I just held back on doing more about it. Sometimes my depression holds me back, I try to get around it by still trying to do things on a smaller scale, but seeing that it got somewhere is also gratifying. I love SatoSere so much, It doesn't matter who is enjoying it as long as they are genuinely enjoying what they are doing it is so good to see. I'm proud for the ship It reached more people the way I always wanted, people seeing the good side of the fandom instead of just focusing on the toxic, there are many people in a ship fandom and not all of them are the same .

It's so nice to see people recognizing this, recognizing that Amourshipping can be whatever they want it to be and feel comfortable expressing it.

I'm practically the creator of the tag for Stsr Yuri and the first to have the idea until it reached the western fandom. Me is creator tag Amourdreamshipping...I already wanted to start a project but I needed to sort out my own life first.

I mainly wanted to say that your tumblr blog is like a breath of fresh air as someone who saw a lot of the pokemon character shipping wars when I first got into the fandom around 2015. I'm also an amourshipper, it was my first ship and the way I got into fandom, but I genuinely love seeing other ships also get love, multishipping is so fun and just freeing, like why choose when you can just enjoy both!

Also do you had any amourshipping headcanons?

I've been in this fandom on YouTube and on Deviantart since 2007, I thought it was so peaceful compared to the current shipping fights, Of course I was a person who rarely looked at ship comments, since I wasn't interested. I have had contact with many if not multi-shippers, they were respectful and seemed to make fanart of everything (Poke, Advanced, Pearl, Negai...even Amourshipping and Yumeshippers or Canon X OC), I think it helped me to be neutral in that sense...

Oh I just love them so much, I have so many different headcanons I consider them as multi verses (UAs) both what I wrote in 2013-2018 and what I did in this fandom in 2019-2023.

Well, let's take it one step at a time. In 2013, I started watching XY and joined the fandom on Deepy. I watched absolutely everything other than AMVs...uh I looked at FanFiction FF net (I used page translation to read on my first phone) and saw that there were many other different things, I chose some ships to write about... specifically (Amourshipping/Mirroramourshipping) being the main ones from my pre-teen era the second one I chose to write about was, Palleshipping (I thought I had to have a separate account for everything so... I kind of did something like "I was a Palleshipper") which wasn't very cool, but I apologize because I was a kid and didn't know that, I didn't need to go THAT FAR, and could have posted this on my main (2014-2015) I started reading Shinsato, before I saw some things but...it was just hitting some random site lol, I just ignored it. Sapphirepearlshipping IS THE NEXT WHO I CHOOSE WRITE 😭🩷🤎🧡🥰

But reading it all and rewatching it I know I'm neutral to the palettes on screen. I also got to write Gary X Serena lol I just didn't see it happening in the show but it was fun to make this conflict of feelings so you could say it's my fanon (this was probably the beginning of my bi Ash Ketchum headcanon)

When I was younger I didn't know about the things that PokémonRangerboyguy did, but...I remember watching his own videos with Fancyfashionshipping (Dawn X Serena with Lost in you style) so it began + my wlw Serena agenda and Dawn lesbian even more deeply (despite knowing Sana x Serena and Miette X Serena...I was more neutral towards them too and saw them as friends/BFF)

I admit that in my new rewatch... I was more in favor of Serena X Aria imo...

Now, let's go to part 2, wlw SatoSere this is something that I simply, ONLY found out about entering the miraculous fandom, they usually have a VERY strong headcanon wlw ship or mlm ship or male/fem genderswap...male Marinette/ trans Marinette/ transfem Adrien/ fem Adrien Agreste etc. I just took this and did the same for SatoSere (I already wrote Adrien X Marin and Marinette X Adrianne (which helped me to do Amourdreamshipping) crosdessering Ash in fem Ash slash SatoSere...many things I couldn't finish or start in 2016-2017 because at the time I didn't have time (in high school I tried teacher training and it took up all my time 😭🫠 so I deleted all the stories I was working on)

Now, the third part is that I REALLY LIKED MIRRIOR ASH HE SO CUTE AND HOLY SHIT IT TOOK MY MIND ✨⭐ I DID SO MUCH THINGS WITH HIM THAT I CAN'T SAY one blog without becoming bigger than it already is 😭 but one universe in particular is that he is AUTISTIC (before I was diagnosed with autism) so this is my favorite. ❤️🫠
