What's everyone's favorite type of media (shows, books, movies, games, etc)? and what genres?

Skitch: 🖐️ I've gotten really attached to a few types of human television programs. I really enjoy cooking shows - and also those shows where humans go around trying to pick out a home. I'm not entirely sure why - but I guess I enjoy both getting to see snippets of human life, and also the curiosity of seeing new things. What sort of meals will they make? Who will win? What kind of home will they pick? It's all very interesting - but they're also shows I find calming to watch. Low stakes, simple, you know. 👍

Jamie: I can take responsibility for that, I think - these are my favorite shows to watch, too. I don't know if I'd say TV shows are my favorite media - but I'm also not entirely sure what I'd say /is/. TV is up there, and of course I like music too. So I guess I'd stick with a similar answer to Skitch. 

Trep: I have a difficult time with media in general. Sitting and focusing on things isn't so much my style - I prefer to be doing. Walking, hunting, active things. Puzzles aren't awful, I suppose - whether digital video games or otherwise. They have to be especially difficult, though - else they just won't hold my attention. Which has always been true - this isn't an issue specific to Earth or humans. 

Addison: I enjoy reading. 

Trep: Reading…? 

Addison: ...I enjoy reading romance novels. Frankly, the cheesier they are the better. It's just simple reading, makes it easy to unwind. I don't particularly care about the subgenre, though - I'll give most romance novels a try. 

Frinie: Bee introduced me to video games, and now we play them together a lot! I think they're really fun - I actually like playing online games. Especially the kind where you're fighting other people, you know? 

Bee: And I really like platformers and roleplayers - and also just watching Frinie play. She really gets into it and honestly it's kind of funny to see. 

Keet: I don't care for much. Music is alright, I guess - although I like our own kind. Difficult to put that into a genre you'd understand, I guess. There's also this computer on Polus - it has an old human game called Pong on it. I've got the high score - so I don't mind that so much. It's really simple, but fun.

To be completely fair - it is way more about 'taming the beast' so to speak, with everything that goes into that. How the big powerful/monstrous/evil creature becomes soft for that person(s) they love (which might be why I ended up attaching so much to Trep and Addison over Skitch and Jamie - although I still love them, don't get me wrong), how absolutely feral they can get in defense of said person(s), all the good shit that comes out of those stories where said monster is discovered...etcetc. There are so many delicious tropes tied up into beauty and the beast pairs.

...But yes. I'm also a very big fan of all the extra things that come along with all that. The physical characteristics, the power dynamics, so on and so forth. I wasn't a big fan of alien-based things like tentacles and ovipositors before, tbh, I was always more about the teeth and claws. But every new Fandom brings out something new, I suppose. And here we are.

What do you think of the new banner silhouettes? Personally my first thought for the one on the left was Scarlet; I think it was the ribbon tied around the arm + general hair shape. But I'm not really sure who the one on the right could be. Really I just wanted to know what your reaction would be if it really did turn out to be scarlet in feh?

I WAS LEGIT JUST ABOUT TO POST THAT THEY CANNOT INTRODUCE SCARLET AFTER I JUST THREW AWAY ALL MY ORBS TRYING AND FAILING FOR L!ELIWOOD. THEY CAN’T DO THIS TO ME.

if it is her though i will definitely screech and cry bc #1 wife is finally in heroes, but tbqh a beach alt wouldn’t exactly be my first choice for her and i’m a little afraid bc i also adore laegjarn but her beach art was so dreadful that i didn’t even try for her. then again, i already did have two versions of laeg so circumstances are a little different. and who knows! maybe her beach art will be nice like cordelia’s or tana’s! either way i’m almost definitely going to be suckered into throwing what few orbs i’ll be able to scrape together in her direction ;-;

i agree, court of stars and kharazan were both very good. i like arcway too, but i think its just because i ended up doing it every week for mythic plus rewards.

I can’t wait to try them both- I totally forgot there was a kharazan one at all? I’ve been saying forever I wish they would break it up into 5 mans so it didn’t just rot. 

thats how I feel abt a lot of WoD 5 mans and lfrs, I did them so much it was like, I liked them a lot. I don’t think I ever did mythic bc healing uhhh skyreach? where the fire birds fixate and whatever put the fear of god in me
