5 Mistakes to Avoid When Starting Your Affiliate Marketing Journey in 2023
Sure, then are 5 miscalculations to avoid when starting your chapter marketing trip in 2023. here Choosing the Wrong Niche One of the biggest miscalculations you can make as a chapter marketer is choosing the wrong niche. It's important to elect a niche that you're passionate about and that has a large enough followership to induce business and deals. here fastening is Too important for Products rather than guests Another mistake is fastening too much on the products you are promoting and not enough on your guests. The flashback is that your job as a chapter marketer is to give value to your followership and help them break their problems. By putting your guests first, you will make trust and establish a pious following. here Promoting Too numerous Products at Once It can be tempting to promote as numerous products as possible to increase your chances of earning commissions. still, this can actually harm your credibility and make it harder to make a pious following. rather, concentrate on promoting many high-quality products that align with your niche and give value to your followership. here Not Tracking Your Results To be successful in chapter marketing, it's important to track your results and dissect your performance. This will help you identify what is working and what is not, so you can make adaptations and ameliorate your strategy. here Giving Up Too Soon Affiliate marketing can take time and trouble to see results. However, do not give up too soon, If you are not seeing immediate success. Stay married, keep learning, and acclimate your strategy as demanded. With continuity and fidelity, you can achieve success in chapter marketing. here

I spent the last 11 months working with my illustrator, Marta, to make the children's book of my dreams. We were able to get every detail just the way I wanted, and I'm very happy with the final result. She is the best person I have ever worked with, and I mean, just look at those colors!
Tumblr media
I wanted to tell that story of anyone's who ever felt that they didn't belong anywhere. Whether you are a nerd, autistic, queer, trans, a furry, or some combination of the above, it makes for a sad and difficult life. This isn't just my story. This is our story.
Tumblr media
I also want to say the month following the book's launch has been very stressful. I have never done this kind of book before, and I didn't know how to get the word out about it. I do have a small publishing business and a full-time job, so I figured let's put my some money into advertising this time. Indie writers will tell you great success stories they've had using Facebook ads, so I started a page and boosting my posts.
Within a first few days, I got a lot of likes and shares and even a few people who requested the book and left great reviews for me. There were also people memeing on how the boy turns into a delicious venison steak at the end of the book. It was all in good fun, though. It honestly made made laugh. Things were great, so I made more posts and increased spending.
Tumblr media
But somehow, someway these new posts ended up on the wrong side of the platform. Soon, we saw claims of how the book was perpetuating mental illness, of how this book goes against all of basic biology and logic, and how the lgbtq agenda was corrupting our kids.
Tumblr media
This brought out even more people to support the book, so I just let them at it and enjoyed my time reading comments after work. A few days later, then conversation moved from politics to encouraging bullying, accusing others of abusing children, and a competition to who could post the most cruel image. They were just comments, however, and after all, people were still supporting the book.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then the trolls started organizing. Over night, I got hit with 3 one-star reviews on Amazon. My heart stopped. If your book ever falls below a certain rating, it can be removed, and blocked, and you can receive a strike on your publishing account. All that hard work was about to be deleted, and it was all my fault for posting it in the wrong place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I panicked, pulled all my posts, and went into hiding, hoping things would die down. I reported the reviews and so did many others, but here's the thing you might have noticed across platforms like Google and Amazon. There are community guidelines that I referenced in my email, but unless people are doing something highly illegal, things are rarely ever taken down on these massive platforms. So those reviews are still there to this day. Once again, it's my fault, and I should have seen it coming.
Luckily, the harassment stopped, and the book is doing better now, at least in the US. The overall rating is still rickety in Europe, Canada, and Australia, so any reviews there help me out quite a lot. I'm currently looking for a new home to post about the book and talk about everything that went into it. I also love to talk about all things books if you ever want to chat. Maybe I'll post a selfie one day, too. Otherwise, the book is still on Amazon, and the full story and illustrations are on YouTube as well if you want to read it for free.

Good Trouble | worst!Logan x fem!reader
warnings: none, I just don't think. kinda an established relationship with a nameless fem!OC, language? implied Valentine's Day? Logan in Minneapolis? I don't know?
a/n: written for @lubdubology and @yxtkiwiyxt's Loveuary2025 challenge. please enjoy Worst!Logan, because I so do!
Tumblr media
“Ok, but seriously–construction on 494 needs to be over, it’s getting so insane!"
Keys hit the island countertop like they do every day, at 6:15 sundown, with the same jingle and clatter of that stupid little keychain she’d picked up in Nashville last summer.
Faded letters stare back at him as Logan lifts his attention from flipping through the stack of mail, nudging aside the Amazon box with his hand as she sweeps into the space, curls bouncing and heels at hand.
Holiday weekend,” one of the barstools at the island creaks slightly with age as it accepts his weight, “just how it goes. Still can’t figure how there can be that much tore up in the middle of fucking February.”
And it’s true—Logan has only called Minneapolis his-version of home since, well, sometime last year. Hadn’t experienced a full season in the city. Beginning to wonder if there was ever any sun in this part of the world, it was more like Canada than he would’ve thought possible. Not that she hadn’t warned him, but—old habits. Stubborn fucker.
Dropping her heels to the floor, she deposits her work beside them and approaches foot over foot, smiling a little more wryly than usual. Familiar arms slip around the back of his neck, anchoring her against his chest, his hands more than willing to land home on hips. She smells like coffee and the leather seats of her car, her skin still lingers with warmth. Worn out makeup sets off her eyes, lips lacking the same vibrant color they’d left with as she’d sauntered out the door, taking with her all the light, and glory, of the sun.
Smile brightening, she offers him a chaste kiss before her eyes divert to the mail half-sorted on the counter. “Welcome to the Twin Cities, sweetheart,” she winks at him, “the wild land of road construction, three-sixty-five, twenty-four-seven. Never say die.” It takes everything he has not to chuckle, the effort ringing low in his chest. “It’s all those tax dollars working hard, God knows we pay ‘nough of ‘em.”
His brow snaps up. “We?” He hadn’t paid taxes in a fucking century. Certainly not to the damn fed. “I just live here, doll.”
Her head tips, amusement passing through her eyes in a glimmer of wonder. “Right. You’re the guy eating all the cereal in the morning and not letting me know!” Shoving at his shoulder, she dissolves into girlish giggles. Lights him up like a livewarm, warmth ruminating through his bones like a shot. “I should charge you rent,” angling her head, she kisses his cheek with more animation than usual, he relishes in the smile littering his skin, “or put you to work.”
His hum is low, fingertips skipping along the hem of her shirt. “Oh yeah?” her finger rubs soft circles at the base of his hairline. “I dunno, though—got a real sweet gig already, kinda like it.” More than failing to find the end of her shirt, frustration sets him to his feet, gently backing her into the corner of the counter, against his chest. “Not many jobs offerin’ free food and a good fuck anytime I want.”
Lovingly she nuzzles her nose under his chin, mouth fluttering over his pulse, “I should hope not,” taking her face in his hands, he guides her back for a slow kiss that shakes him all the way down, “that kinda work is liable to get you in trouble, Logan.”
“Ain’t anythin’ wrong with trouble if it’s the good kind, honey.”
“There’s a good kind of trouble?” More giggles. She’s always fucking giggling, and he’ll be damned if it doesn’t make him a little wild. Hands grab at her plush thighs, and with a flick of his wrists, she’s plunked on the counter as if it’s a throne worthy of his worship.
Running fingers through his hair tips his head back, and he offers her a lazy, half smile. “Explain ‘good trouble’ to me, Logan,” like a curious little dog, her head cants to the side. He brushes a curl from her face. ”’Cause last I checked, you were only capable of the bad kind.”
Hands slowly skip up her thighs, fingers snagging the waistband of business slacks that he fights the urge to pitch across the floor with every ounce of self control two centuries of life have cultivated. Leaning forward, she brushes her lips against his, smiling lovingly as he teases the meat of her thigh with eager, hungry fingers.
Fingers dipping, she arches away, laughing.
“You’re the worst,” she swats at his chest, the ring on her finger catching the light of the kitchen just so, “forget good and bad, you’re just trouble all by itself.”
“Wrote the book on it, sweetheart—thought you knew.”
And she would—eventually.

What people miss with regards to the Jordan Neely/Daniel Penny story is that Penny didn’t choke him out because he’s a bad person. He did it because of socioeconomic factors which made him desperate. The alternative to him being found not guilty would be him going to prison, and that wouldn’t have been justice. Penny needs to be treated with grace and care in this undoubtably troubling time for him
I think my scambaiting post must be going around because I'm getting some asks about it. I'm mostly just deleting them if they're not interesting or instructive, but I think this one actually might be.
My OP made a gesture at a materialist analysis which should be performed. This material analysis would have to do with the flow of money, labour, and resources as it actually exists in the world: the extraction, extortion, and theft of raw materials; the purposeful, violent destabilisation of entire regions by the military arms of the USA, Canada, Europe &c. to force people to work for pennies, so that labour will be incredibly cheap compared to what it would cost if performed by most citizens in the imperial 'core'; and other measures that are taken to ensure that value flows from colonised nations to colonising nations. (These measures also include the devaluing of institutions in the 'periphery' such that advanced degrees from certain countries are simply worth less than others; and the restricted ability of those in the 'periphery' to travel or migrate across borders with the freedom afforded to those with imperial citizenship.)
So certain people are in a situation where structures and enforcers of power have made them poor and desperate on purpose so that they can be 'superexploited' at a level beyond that experienced by most people in the imperial 'core'. This is the purpose of imperialism, and it's the purpose of the concept of 'race.' People work in factories for very little money, because the imperial periphery is supposedly only good for the production of raw materials (fabric; t-shirt blanks; assembly of parts of electronics &c.); the design, the artisanship, the packaging, the 'refining,' the making of the chocolate bar from the cocoa, everything that confers 'value' to the item, is done in the imperial core, and that increased 'value' / sale price is added to the GDP of the country in which the product is completed.
In fact this 'raw material' is not 'raw' at all, and it also invovles design and artisanship—but the people of the 'third world' cannot 'design' anything and they cannot be 'artisans'—nothing they make can be labelled as 'handmade' or 'hand-sewn' even if it is literally made with their hands—because they are not considered as people in that way.
But that's the product realm. In terms of the internet (even setting aside the physical materials, space, energy, water &c. required to maintain the internet):
Things (such as Amazon's failed "Just Walk Out" thing) are advertised as "artificial intelligence" despite the fact that thousands of people in India are forced to do work that is tedious, time-consuming, and often horrific and traumatising (consider content moderation!!) in order to make them work. Their material conditions—which are created and maintained, in the most violent manner imaginable, on purpose in order to force them to do this work—render many people desperate enough to take these jobs.
If there are people, who are reachable online, who at a baseline are making a hundred times what you are making, whose currency has incredible purchasing power where you live, and you can get some of that money—if you can work for yourself this way, obviously you're going to do that. This happens because there's money to be made in it. If people can set up an operation and train hundreds of people in how to do this, and take most of the profits and still provide a salary that's attractive to people because of how high the margins are, then obviously that's going to happen. This is just, the concept of capitalism. If there is a way to make money doing something, someone is going to be doing that thing.
Material analysis is looking at the world as it actually exists, in order to figure out how materials, labour, and value are 'flowing' on local and global scales, as a means of determining why things happen the way they do. Like, on a base level, that's what it means to analyse something—to try to figure out why it happens the way it does.
This anon, in sending this ask, didn't understand what any of this meant, or didn't want to consider it, or something. They were unable or unwilling to consider a different lens than that of personal desert, personal merit, and innate personal badness / criminality. The concept of trying to understand where money is, how it moves and why, as a base level of knowledge necessary to understand why there is money to be made in doing certain things, doesn't compute to them—so they have to move things back into the realm of personal desert, and act like I'm saying that people who commit acts of interpersonal violence "deserve" to be allowed to commit that violence as long as they're going through something, whether or not the thing they're going through created the necessary circumstances for, or has any other direct relation with, the act of violence being committed (basically "some people commit violence to cope").
All of that is kind of typical—it's very normal for people to act like asking them to consider people in the 'third world' as actual human beings with human things like "circumstances" and "motivations" and "thoughts" that influence their actions is tantamount to spitting in their grandmother's face.
But what's most interesting to me about this ask is how, in order to dismiss the idea of material analysis as necessary to understand why things happen and to reassert an interpretive framework of individual criminality, anon uses the idea of interpersonal racial violence as something that we can all agree is caused by innate criminality and not by material factors. As if by comparing scamming to this act of violence, it emphasises the innate criminal personality at the root of both acts. As if, obviously, we can all agree that people who commit this kind of violence are just evil demons who "deserve" to be locked up—so saying "the material fact of present-day colonialism creates the conditions for this kind of scamming" is tantamount to saying "we shouldn't lock criminals up in prison." If the latter statement is unthinkable, then so, by comparison, is the former.
Except that this concept of "the criminal" as being a specific "type" of person who uniquely does and deserves evil, and who needs to be locked up in a cage for the good of the rest of society, is exactly what I am, in fact, intending to question. I think the anon would be surprised to learn about the vast body of work (I mean texts, but also direct activism) conducted under the heading of "prison abolition."

hi! a friend of mine has recently told me a bunch of stuff about how i could include some disabled characters in my short stories (i write hurt/comfort for the record) and what they'd like to see more of.
something on the list was "[disabled people] have access to certain medical supplies that normally wouldn't be accessible." google isn't being super helpful as it's a pretty vague statement. can you give me some examples of this? would it be syringes and needles? or certain medication that's easy to use with malicious intent? (also for the record, they were specifically asking if i could write more disabled characters doing the hurting instead of being victims of it, since that tends to be an underrepresented category). i dont even know where to start researching since there's so many types of disabilities, so any help would be hugely appreciated!
Hello,
Prescriptions open up a world of medical supplies that the public would have to jump through major hoops to access or wouldn't be able to access at all. For example, epinephrine auto-injectors, commonly known as Epi-Pens. In America, one can only get those with a prescription or if you're the caretaker for someone who has life-threatening allergies, there is no other way to get them unless you buy them from a shady sight from the United Kingdom or Canada. Even Adrenaclic, created by CVS Pharmacy, which also treats anaphylaxis, is only available when prescribed by a medical professional. Disabled people with chronic pain can access medical marijuana, or even medical-grade opioids. One can't legally buy Schedule 2 Drugs (things like Adderall) without a prescription. It'll depend on what condition they have, but prescription medications are a huge part of that "access to supplies the rest of the population can't have."
The second thing is medical-grade sterile equipment. Sure, you can buy IV bags off of Amazon for fifteen dollars for fifty, but those probably aren't medical-grade and you don't have a guarantee that they're good or safe quality. IV fluids are hard to find at a reasonable price. Syringes? Those absolutely need to be sterile, it's not safe to buy those from anywhere that isn't a pharmacy. All of this stuff is best purchased as medical-grade, meaning it could be used by a doctor or a hospital, and they aren't buying this stuff from Amazon. Pharmacies get this stuff from similar, maybe even the same, sources as hospitals are getting them, and a pharmacy will probably only sell you most of this stuff to someone who's prescribed it and who has a diagnosed medical condition that requires it. Even then, disabled people usually need to jump through hoops to get our medical equipment.
And the third is something that might surprise you- mobility and assistance devices. Yes, you can get a cane from Walmart or a hospital-type wheelchair from Target, but those aren't personalized. They'll do the job but an abled person probably can't get a custom-built wheelchair as easily as someone with cerebral palsy can. This isn't saying it's easy for disabled people to get these things, it's just easier than it is for the general population. Plus, things such as a class three powerchair are thousands of dollars. If you're prescribed one, insurance might cover part of it, or you might have the option to receive these things for free from charities, or at a discounted rate, especially if you're low-income. You can buy them if you're abled, sure, but you'll have access to a better way to go about it if you're actually disabled.
Again, nothing on this list is guaranteed to be a breeze for a disabled person, but there are routes we can take that make getting them easier than it would be for an abled person who doesn't need them.

Affiliate Marketing vs. Influencer Marketing: Which is the Best Option in 2023?
Chapter marketing and influencer marketing are two popular ways to make plutocrats online, but they differ in how they work and how effective they're for different pretensions. In this blog, we will explore the differences between chapter marketing and influencer marketing and help you determine which option is the most stylish for your requirements in 2023. here description chapter marketing involves promoting a product or service and earning a commission for each trade or conversion made through your unique chapter link. Influencer marketing involves partnering with an influencer, who has a large and engaged following on social media, to promote your product or service. here Control chapter marketing gives you further control over your marketing juggernauts as you can choose the products or services you want to promote and how you promote them. In discrepancy, influencer marketing requires cooperation with an influencer, which means you have lower control over the content and messaging of the creation. here Cost chapter marketing is frequently considered a more cost-effective option than influencer marketing. With chapter marketing, you only pay a commission when a trade or conversion is made, whereas influencer marketing frequently involves paying an outspoken figure to the influencer for their services. here Reach Influencer marketing can be more effective for reaching a specific target followership, particularly if the influencer has a large and engaged following within that niche. In discrepancy, chapter marketing can be more effective for reaching wider followership as you can promote products across colorful niches and platforms. here Trust Influencer marketing is frequently more effective in erecting trust with implicit guests as the influencer has formerly established a position of trust with their followers. In discrepancy, chapter marketing relies on the trust between the client and the chapter marketer, which can take time to make. here Conclusion In conclusion, both chapter marketing and influencer marketing have their advantages and disadvantages, and the stylish option for you'll depend on your pretensions and needs. However, also chapter marketing may be a stylish choice for you If you want further control over your marketing juggernauts and are looking for a further cost-effective option. On the other hand, if you want to reach a specific target followership and make trust with implicit guests, also influencer marketing may be the stylish option. Eventually, both options can be effective in driving deals and growing your business in 2023. here

Well that isn’t what we expected is it? Trump winning the white house. In the salient words of Miss Juicy, ”What the hell we gon’ do now?”. Everyone has a different idea. “We need to engage in our communities!” , “I’m moving to Canada!”, “I’m doing c*ke in the bathroom!” some cry out. Others are disengaging from the zeitgeist, and with it, apparently, social media. But when people announce these reactionary ideas of theirs, it feels more like a child yelling that they hate their parents because they got their Xbox taken away than a serious strategy to avoid oppression. I get it though, everyone just wants a change now. The hottest new accessory is going to be a poorly thought out style choice. Short haircuts with clumsy dye jobs and a trashcan full of “I’m with her!” memorabilia is how everyone dealt with this last time. But what is really the answer to this feeling?
Well, you’re all in luck. Because as a Trans drag queen in the midwest with an enhanced ID, I have the insight into all these coping methods. I write this while smoking a skinny cig. sitting on a picnic table in my childhood backyard, on property that’s interest rates doubled so fiercely it convinced both my parents to vote Trump and pushed me farther left than I thought was possible before I just detransitioned into Mao Zedong. I doubt that social media breaks announced via Instagram story or a vote for a failed businessman turned reality star or a jar of Manic Panic Amazon Primed to your door is going to make any of us feel any better, or bring the dollar menu at the drive thru back.
The Canadian immigration website crashed in 2016 after Trump won the first time, and to be fair I can see why. Everytime I visit, a feeling of relaxation washes over me. Not just because it's where my boyfriend lives, but because it's a genuinely very easy place. People stroll instead of scurrying through the streets. Even in Toronto, the largest city. The food is fantastic as well. The cosmopolitan-and just like that, I started ordering them-attitudes lead to a huge mix of cultures that seem to coexist in a much more mixed fashion than the notoriously segregated US. Sure, there’s the french-speaking Quebecois, but every country has annoying people. The friendliness is no joke either (as long as it’s not a service worker), people ask you how you are as a question, rather than a greeting.
Canada isn’t a liberal wonderland though, despite what Justin Trudeau might lead you to believe. During my Toronto visit, I checked out Dundas Square, the canuck equivalent of Times Square (there was no one in knockoff Elmo costumes). As soon as we stepped out of the subway station it was awash with the sounds of protest. A First Nations demonstration played out, with people chanting “LET HIM GO!” while drum beats punctuated the cries. A woman sat on a speaker holding a microphone, telling the heart-wrenching story of her son who had been shot during a wellness check by police in the midst of a mental health crisis. I wanted to support and join in the chanting, but my boyfriend advised not to, warning me the TPS were just as brutal as any American police department, especially to Trans women. Moments later a man, middle aged, bald, and white, started hitting on me aggressively. My boyfriend immediately shielded me from him, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer and made a scene. Another man chimed in, “That's not a ‘She’ bro!”
We got out of there fast.
So while Canada may have a more charismatic leader on the world stage, and policies that protect its vulnerable communities slightly better than the US, it’s not a utopia for Queers. Least of all Trans women or Two Spirit people. The truth is there is no such thing as safe spaces. As long as tribalism is baked into our monkey brains, we will find something to point at and feel superior about over someone else. I’ve actually felt more disrespected in some majority white gay male bars than I have in dives in my hometown of bumfuck Jackson playing the UofM game on their tv. A word of advice to The Dolls, don’t underestimate the cruelty of men. 🚬 or not. That isn’t to say I hadn't found community in a lot of Queer parties.
I had started my post-election-pity-party at Necto in Ann Arbor for the finale of the UofM-student-powered drag competition reality show Runway Rumble. Michigan’s best and brightest new talent (and others) battling it out for the belt. Those of us that had been eliminated were doing a group number with the finalists and accepting awards. The energy was electric, people were excited to see each other and drinks were flowing. I can't speak for coke in the bathroom because I was in an outfit that didn't allow for bathroom visits, and frankly a bank account that didn't allow for coke.
With all the excitement and nerves in the air about who would clinch the win, it felt like our community’s political turmoil was dead and gone. Although, some people were drinking so much I thought they might go the same way.
Spoiler alert, Belladonna won the competition, and for me that was such a relief. To see a Trans woman win a competition like this and receive the recognition she so rightly deserved as a fixture in the Detroit scene was vindicating as a Doll Supremacist. Shoutout to you diva, you did that shit. Big shoutout also to one of the judges, Pineapple Honeydew, for finger-waving my look that night. I hugged Bella and joined in on the rest of the cast and crew who were inundating her with congratulations, and that's when I realized something. In this bar, on this stage, in THIS moment, Trump wasn’t president. He’ll never be president of Necto, or president of drag. This place, these people, were presidentless. This country may have elected him with the popular vote, but that didn’t matter here. His political success couldn’t take away Belladonna’s Drag excellence. Or Portia’s for creating the show. Or mine for leaving my mark on the show as Drama Diva and holder of the Golden Boot. No. Our community, its survival and ability to thrive, was entirely dependent on US, not THEM.
So yes, things will be much more difficult now. This will be a tough time for Trans kids, for immigrants, especially mexicans. A tough time for the elderly on social security, a battle for young mothers and young women trying NOT to become mothers. For blue collar workers in unions, for their families. Entire classes of people, communities, towns, families, they’ll be ripped apart. We’ve already seen how populism injected into right-wing politics can create the perfect siren’s song to attract members of our family, turning them into strangers. But at the end of the day, the days gotta end. Will we all take this lying down? Or with a smile on our faces, a tequila sunrise in one hand and our loved ones hand in the other? Our community, no, we protest and sing and dance and drink and dress up and be gay! Openly! Loudly! Until they realize we really aren’t going anywhere.

Screenwriters in 35 countries across the globe are staging a public show of support for their counterparts involved in the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
"Screenwriters Everywhere: International Day of Solidarity," a global event scheduled to take place on June 14 in nations as diverse as Bulgaria and South Korea, includes rallies, social media campaigns and picketing outside local Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) member offices.
The Federation of Screenwriters in Europe (FSE), International Affiliation of Writers Guilds (IAWG), and UNI Global Union (UNI-MEI) worked together to organize the actions. Combined, these organizations represent around 67,000 film and TV writers worldwide.

"The members of the IAWG, made up of Guilds from Europe, America, Canada, India, Africa, Korea, New Zealand and Israel, stand in solidarity with our sister Guilds in America," said IAWG Chair, Thomas McLaughlin, in a statement shared with NPR. "The companies that seek to exploit and diminish writers are global, our response is global, and the victory gained in America will be a victory for screenwriters everywhere." ...
With companies like Netflix, Amazon and Disney operating in many countries around the globe, the "International Day of Solidarity" comes amid fears that writers outside the U.S., where production continues, could potentially steal jobs from striking WGA members over here.
But many international writers guilds have issued guidelines to their members over the past few weeks about steering clear of jobs that ordinarily would go to WGA members.
"We've put the message out to our members that if an American producer knocks on your door and says, 'We need a European writer,' while it's incredibly tempting, we are really strongly recommending that our members do not do that because they will get blacklisted by the WGA and it would be viewed very much as breaking the strike," said Jennifer Davidson, chair of the Writers Guild of Ireland (WGI), in an interview with NPR.

full name: ridley james harding
nickname: r.j.
hometown: cochrane, alberta
family: azra harding ( wife )
pets: n/a
orientation: bisexual, biromantic
gender: cismale ( questioning )
Early Life
Born the fourth of five siblings, Ridley was always a quiet child. Often overlooked by his parents who focused on the more outgoing, rambunctious children, he'd spend his days reading, watching tv shows, and writing down the ideas that flooded his mind, but no-one cared to listen to.
High School
His teenage years weren't much different as his peers seemingly had no more interest in him than his family had. It was only in his junior year he actually made a friend. A close friend who was one of the drama kids, and the first person to pay attention to his writings in a positive way, often asking for details about the world's RJ was building. He even happily shared his drafts with this friend, who turned into his SO. He regrets this now.
After Graduation
Trying to break into the world of writing was not easy, especially for a nobody from a place away from most of the industry. At nineteen he moved from Canada to the US, in Los Angeles, in fact. It was a massive financial hit to someone who already wasn't well off. To add insult to injury, it was around this time he found out his friend from high school had stolen his intellectual property and published it under their own name, and he had no way to contest it without a good lawyer, which was definitely outside his means.
Big Break
Ridley wasn't going to give up though and turned from novels to screen writing, first getting a job for a small animated show, and then a larger one. By twenty-three he'd had his name put on several smaller projects writing for an episode here and there before an original series of his was picked up by a moderately sized studio. Despite making it to casting, and even getting the pilot and first few episodes filmed, it never aired. It was here however he met the woman who would become his wife. And shortly after that, got a gig writing as part of the team for the hit HBO show, 'Euphoria'. Just like that he was being taken much more seriously in the entertainment world.
Present
Now married happily, and managing to perfectly balance his public and personal life, even with their openness about their problems starting a family. He has recently signed on as a writer for a Stargate spin off for Prime now it has bought the rights, but it is very early staged.
