We don't know their relationship, we likely never will, maybe they don't know. I entirely believe Paul and Andrew have something special going on. They are each other's people and entirely love each other. They have said as much. I personally find it strange to declare your love to a friend that much but I am a cold, little human with attachment issues.

Do I personally think they have explored each other's bodies? Yes, I do. Would I be surprised if they still were? No. I also can see Paul is head over heels with Andrew and thinks he's the best thing that ever happened to Ireland and acting in general.

I can't say if they are in a committed boyfriend's situation. I do know Paul has been posting soppy-ass songs on Instagram, and Andrew giggled about waking up in love in the BuzzFeed video. Whether it's with each other, who the fuck knows. The world is usually too cruel to let these things happen. I am rooting for them.

Their selfie is also far too soft for me not to believe something is there. I hate looking at it, it's too personal and soft to be in public. Andrew is such a private human, and I suspect Paul will be more private post-Phoebe, so I don't think we will really know.

Paul hugging other people, and Andrew being out with other people doesn't mean they aren't together. They will continue to exist without each other and be seen with other queer people. I love how Paul has surrounded himself with older gay people, though.

Searching the lost: alike and yet different

Similarities between Kujo, Yuki and Nagi

It may be weird, but I have always thought about the fact how similar Kujo, Yuki and Nagi are. It may be weird to hear it randomly, but I actually put some thought in it. It may not make sense though, or maybe I'm overthinking things, but hear me out.

I've said it before, but I wrote this way back (and with that I mean June 2021), so it might be a bit wacky or maybe it doesn't make any sense. It was left incompleted, so everything after Yuki is what I've written recently. I've no clue what direction I wanted to take this, so it may have a different approach at the end.

Basically… I was too lazy to rewrite everything, so I continued on but there's no way I remember what I wanted to write back then, so it's a big mess. Also the reason why I changed the title.

BEWARE OF SPOILERS!!

Kujo Takamasa

You may be thinking, "how can you compare people like Yuki and Nagi with this man?". Oh well…

Kujo worked for Zero, the legendary idol, together with Sakura Haruki. The further you get in the story, the more you will notice how much of an impact Zero had in Kujo's life. After all, Kujo had worked for Zero for such a long time, but what happened after the disappearance of Zero?

If you know the story, you know that Kujo basically becomes obsessed over Zero. So obsessed to the point that he wants to create another legendary idol and it doesn't matter if he has to tear families apart to reach his goal. He lived his life for Zero and with his disappearance, he didn't know what to do anymore. He had lost his path.

Like I said before, he was so obsessed with Zero that he wanted to create another legendary idol and at some point he thinks he can produce an idol that surpasses Zero. Not only that, he even dares to call Haruki a traitor, because Haruki didn't do anything to keep the legendary Zero "alive".

In story/season 2, he even goes so far as disguising himself as Zero and making the life of the other groups difficult. They are not worthy of the legendary Zero, that's what Kujo wanted to say. In his eyes, no one could surpass Zero.

Sadly, Kujo's bad side overshadows his vulnerable side greatly. Everyone sees him as a man who tears families apart for his own goals, but in reality he's quite the tragic character.

Like Tenn said, Kujo lost his job, group and dream all at once. It was a big loss for Kujo and he never really got over it. The only way to cope with his loss, was to search for Zero. When he realized he couldn't find Zero, he decided to create a legendary idol himself to project Zero on his self-produced idol. Everything to keep the legendary idol "alive", but most importantly himself. Even if it meant to hate the person he dedicated his life to.

It's definitely not an uncommon thing to start hating the things you used to love. There are different causes to start hating the things you used to love, but most of the time it's because your outlook on life has changed. Another cause can be the fact that the thing you used to love doing, doesn't satisfy you anymore or it's lacking in a way. In this case, Zero himself is literally missing. There's nothing (more like no one) to feed Kujo anymore.

Kujo isn't a bad person, he just took a wrong turn in life. When he talked about stage direction with Tsumugi and Nagi… he was literally beaming and reliving his time as Zero's manager on the spot.

Yes, Kujo does a lot of unforgivable things, but we shouldn't forget how he decided to visit Haruki in story 4. It was a very touching reunion and he didn't want to go at first. He knew that Haruki didn't have long, but I think he distanced himself from Haruki on purpose, because he knew that he would suffer again. It was a dream that was shared between the three of them, but as time passed, it was time to draw the curtains.

Behind his shady and dark character, there is actually a very lonely person, who's basically trying to keep walking his path in this cruel world.

Orikasa Yukito

Yuki is a member of the group Re:vale and he has been an artist for many years. Before he formed Re:vale with Momo, he was in a duo with the same name back in the days. They were nothing more than indie artists.

Yuki may look like a gentleman, but he's absolutely not. Maybe in the beginning when you just get to know Re:vale, but it is actually Momo who keeps Re:vale functioning. Yuki is not really sociable actually. It may not look like that, but it is a fact.

Let me get to the point, have you ever thought about the fact that Yuki could have ended up as a Kujo 2.0? For the people who are confused: both Kujo and Yuki lost someone who had a big impact in their life. It was Zero for Kujo and it was Banri for Yuki.

When Banri left Yuki without saying anything, Yuki was devastated and he blamed himself for not being there for Banri. He set out to look for Banri and gradually he became "empty", just like Kujo. The more he looked, the more he felt like he couldn't find his partner. Yuki was ready to take his own life, but fortunately for us, his laziness won. After several failed search attempts, he decided to shut himself in his own apartment.

I'm pretty sure that Yuki would have become obsessed over Banri just like Kujo did. Actually, he already did when he just kept looking for Banri. Yuki also got to the point that he started to "hate" Banri, because he couldn't find him, and thus decided to kill him, but he didn't know where Banri was, so the plan was no more. It all sounds funny, but it's actually really sad.

The only thing he wanted was to see his partner again. Yes, it caused a lot of stress for Momo when Yuki restarted as the new Re:vale, but could we really blame Yuki? It was just a sign that he was still not over the fact that he didn't know where Banri was. It's not easy to let go of someone who you have spent a lot of time with after all.

Who caused the fall of the original Re:vale? It was no one other than Kujo, the person who still struggles with his own loss.

Kujo's goal was to make original Re:vale the next legandary idols, but Banri knew that Kujo was not the man who would make a safe and free environment for his idols. That's why Banri left Yuki behind after the accident, to protect him from Kujo. Yuki was already planning to work for Kujo since Kujo said he would pay for Banri's medical bills, but Banri knew that Yuki wouldn't hesitate to take the offer.

After that came a dark and depressing period for Yuki, but he got out of it eventually because of Momo. What would have happened if Momo wasn't there? It wouldn't have gotten an happy end, I think. At the same time, it makes me wonder how Kujo would react when he meets Zero again. Will he react like Yuki did to Banri…? Will he finally be able to settle down with himself? These are questions we can only ponder on right now.

Rokuya Nagi

The last character I'm going to talk about is our lovely Nagi from IDOLiSH7. To be honest how can it not be Nagi. I know. Nagi is such an important character in the series, because he's not only supporting the members like no other, but he also has a lot of similarities to other characters or differences that make him stand out.

The important person for Nagi was no one other than Sakura Haruka, the composer of Zero and the person who worked alongside Kujo. What a small world we live in. Haruki basically thought Nagi how to be humane and how to love, since Nagi wasn't really in an environment to receive love himself. He had known Haruki since he was small and Haruki taught him lots of things. It was as if nothing could go wrong, but Haruki's health started to deteriorate and that's when Haruki decided to leave Nagi's side...

One day they will still be next to you, but the next day they will take their leave quietly. Zero disappeared without saying anything, leaving nothing behind, except his legacy. Unlike Zero, Banri and Haruki left a letter to the one they care for. Zero has everything he wanted and he left, while both Banri and Haruki left due to their health to not burden the others around them. If you're gonna te me that Zero is not healthy, then this is the time to do so, lol. Anyway, as you can see, there are already a lot of similarities between Yuki and Nagi.

Just like Kujo and Yuki, Nagi had lost the person he cared the most for (at that time at least). But… he didn't look for Haruki. Instead he fulfilled Haruki's request. This made me think… did Haruki perhaps anticipated this and taught Nagi to be the current person he is, so he wouldn't fall into despair? Did Haruki maybe know that this would do Nagi good in a way? We shouldn't forget that Haruki was close to Kujo and how he probably saw how Kujo fell into his current state.

Just like Yuki, Nagi got to meet Haruki again and it certainly was a tearful reunion. Sakura Haruki's time was coming to an end. So. We first had Kujo not being able to reunite with Zero, then we had Yuki actually being able to reunite with Banri, and now we have Nagi who reunited with Haruki, only to say goodbye soon. The story is sure very cruel. It's difficult to say goodbye. We all know it.

❝ Even if our youth ends someday and we go separate ways, there’s nothing sad about it. ❞

This was what Haruki said to Kujo in the past. Even when the main cast meets Haruki, he never stopped thinking like this. His view on life hadn't changed. That's just how Haruki was. Haruki basically teaches the people around him to cherish every moment and to accept the things they are. What is "ours" will one day become "everyone's". Nothing to be sad about and Nagi understood Haruki's way of thinking. That's why he never lost his way like Yuki or Kujo. That's just how important Haruki was to him. What was once Haruki's is now Nagi's and that's how Haruki lives on.

Regarding part 5 (again)

I believe that Yuki and Nagi are supposed to be an alternative version to what Kujo could have been as character. They are totally different from each other, but at the same time they went through a similar experience. It's also crazy how you can connect their stories logically... Here is a random table. It doesn't add anything, but have fun.

Okay, so I have been talking about how Yuki and Nagi were in the same shoes as Kujo, but can we please talk about how part 5 literally pushes this idea in our face, but with TRIGGER? This is bizarre, especially when you think about Tenn being Zero, Gaku being Kujo and Ryu being Haruki. Something makes sense in all this nonsense, but I can't put my finger on it.

The person to disappear seems to not want to burden someone. I know we don't really know Zero's reason of disappearance, but I can place this situation in Tenn. Friendly reminder that he voluntarily cut his ties with the Nanase family, because he wanted to help his family and most importantly Riku.

The person to search for the missing person seems to be fixated on the missing person. Despite not knowing everything and/or not agreeing with the decisions the missing person has taken, they never seem to really leave the person alone. Gaku is always bickering with Tenn, but at the same time he's the person who looks out for him the most. Not so excessive like Kujo, but in his own way.

The person close to the other two seems to bring them to the right path. It's not always easy and sometimes they fail, but they never stop supporting them. That's exactly what Haruki did and what Momo did to Yuki, but this is also what Ryu does with Tenn and Gaku. He's someone who can't be missed and even when he's not around, his words will find their way...

This weeks ep was really cute. I enjoyed the focus getting to be on side characters we hadn't seen in a while.

First off... Emerald McNabb... is there a green background boy? Am I going insane??? I s2g there was one but maybe I just imagine it or conflated the whole thing with river??? I tried looking but ???Anyway cant wait to meet him.

So Aidan... rip, that scene in the hall was rough. I said big yikes outloud the same moment Jade did so nice to see theyre finally catching up on what the Kids™️ actually say lmfao despite me not being a kid

I cant remember if we were told Aidan was on the football team or not, but thats exciting to get some more on him. He seems really nice. I can see him and Ruby being good friends.

Ruby's optimism kinda was like... chill girl lol I mean I do that a lot "its fine, itll be fine, don't worry" and thats more for me than other people and she seems to do the same. Tho Amaya did have a good point. Every time she appears now its like she gets a few lines to be the Voice of Reason and then dips, even tho wasn't that Sunny's job? Glad Ruby cheered on Aidan tho, even if it felt like a pity cheer lmfao

Im glad she actually calmed down later and spoke to Aidan, he clearly needed a different perspective. Its super nice to see a boy vulnerable too, I appreciate that immensely. Also like about time she got some more screen time.

Speaking of speaking, I thought It was sweet how she approached Avery and Ainsley out of concern and they were like yea we know, we're not sure what to do tho. I just think Ruby handled it all very well, very mature. We love to see teens using compassion and critical thinking skills. Especially since she didn't tell anyone else and tried to just keep it to his specific friend group.

I think the pep rally was really neat, Ruby didn't have to go out of her way to make him feel good but she did and for that reason we have to stan. Also i audibly gasped when River caught Amaya in one hand bc Jesus fucking christ how strong are you but also it was really cute. I still think Sunny x Amaya should be a thing, but I think River is growing on me. I mean Amaya has two hands so.......

Im glad the pep rally worked out for Aidan's confidence bc fuck pep rallies, that shit would have given me a full blown panic attack lmao I hated every one I ever had to attend, pretty sure it attributed to the ringing in my ears that was already there.

The final shot of Aidan on River and maroon boy's shoulders was really cute. I hope we get some River and Aidan interaction, I think they would be really good friends too if they're not already.

Well things didnt go according to plan. But atleast i told Raffy that i was considering Keeping after me and Dylan started talking. Atleast my core groupd Me Timmy Joseph and Stephen are still intact. Dylan is still on our side. Maybe something with Raffy. And Jack is a wild card. All i want is to make it to the end and im going to play my ass off. ❤️Jay.

Jack is immediately latching on to me. I think I can get him on my side which means I need 1 more person to tie. Or at least, I need those 4 to survive this next round so that we have majority at F7 against Timmy, Maynor, and Jack. It probably has to be Dylan because Joseph would not trust him. In fact, I think I want Joseph to go this round more than anything else.

Okay, i came back in being like REVENGE MAYBE and now im like damn Stephen's pretty chill. Dylan and Joseph seem like maybe they'd go along with a vote with me, and Raffy and Ellie seem tight and like they'd come with. I'm probably being dumb and imma be voted out but I've got a thought about getting out either Maynor or Timmy. Thing about Maynor is that he Stephen seem tight (?) so idk how'd he got for that, and no offense Timmy, but the only thing i've heard about him is HE FLIPPED ON THE VOTE BRO. So like idk if imma trust that. Me and Raffy seem tight and like an alliance with him and Ellie, and maybe pull Dylan and or Joseph. Also maybe vote him or Maynor or Timmy out like that. But also make him think i'm working with him. And also maybe secretly actually work with him? Or maybe voting out joseph or dylan. It all depends on who wins the immunity (which Jay is still deciding) but yeah. Also Rafy hates Joseph and im like but i wanna maybe use him

Chatted with Ellie tonight, reaffirmed the her me and raffy thing, and like set out maybe her reaching out to joseph and dylan about a plan to vote for either timmy or stephen (im leaning towards timmy cause honestly i like stephen more and think that down the line we could work together you know?) I also proposed a thing where Ellie and I both separately go to stephen (i already kinda been doing that) and be like "woe is me whatever shall i do i totally dont wanna work with raffy, who do YOU wanna vote for" and hopefully from that shell tell me if they're gunning for me *cough idol* Hopefully my very nice and perfect on paper plan works out, but also like hopefully anything but me going out happens so yeah. Also is it bad that i'm mostly leaning towards timmy cause hes like not tlaked to me much at all and i dont know the guy?

Maynor winning immunity is a huge bummer, but I have to somehow gather the votes to keep myself in this game. I was probably so close to winning, but I'm just depressed now. Hopefully the groundwork I laid out last round comes to fruition. 

Raffy

Joseph tends to do this thing where he gives you unsolicited advice about how you should play your game. It's the most annoying thing because I a) did not ask and b) do not need it. I know he's trying to help, but it gets annoying with every time he does it. It gets my blood boiling.

Also, I asked Joseph if he'd be willing to vote out either Stephen or Timmy because Maynor/Stephen/Timmy are a strong alliance. He says he can't which makes me feel two different things. They are all in a four person alliance together, or Joseph is a coward that can't do anything for himself. He latches onto people like a parasite, and he is slowly eating more and more hay, becoming more and more of a goat. And I don't think he realizes it which is the funny thing. So, in essence, I don't need the advice from a goat. His reasoning was the he cant vote against a strong alliance, but that's exactly why you should vote against them. Nonetheless, someone is at the bottom and not all four of them are making it to FTC. So, we'll see how that attitude pays off for him (Spoiler: It won't).

Maynor

I am so happy i got to win immunity. 3 pet stores and pets of friends, i got it. Which is nice since my last immunity win was for nothing. This round could be tricky. Like everyone can still agree to talk out Raffy which I want because he is a very dangerous player. I just hope that the target doesnt land on Timmy. He’s the only one that I trust 100% + more.    

Raff

Joseph is bad at this game. He is always giving me unsolicited advice about how I should play my game when he is the one who is a goat. If anyone takes him to the end, he's going to lose because in no world does he win with his group consensus attitude. He's not making big moves. He's being a sheep. So, if he thinks he's playing a "good" game, then good for his self-esteem. But, at the end of the way, it doesn't matter what he thinks. It doesn’t matter what he thinks of his own game cause I’m going to be on the jury. So if he makes FTC (which is a hard IF) then it’ll be my perception that matters, not his. So we’ll see who has the last laugh in the end. 

Dylan is ignoring me which is a terrible thing to do. Ignoring someone has the same effect as telling someone that you are voting for them. Except, for me, it's worse because it's a bad social game because instead of having decency and telling someone the truth, you are making them an outcast and making them feel like they are less than. So, good on Dylan for having a bad social game, but I doubt they ever had a good one in the first place. Within this single round, people are losing my jury vote which might bite them in ass later down the line, but I'm reveling in it. 

Raffy

Jack wants to make a move against Timmy in order to lessen Maynor's stranglehold on the game. So, I told Maynor and Timmy all of this with a plan to tell Stephen later in the day. I'm sorry to Jack, but I have to do something to preserve my game, even if that means getting rid of a guaranteed number on my side. As a bottom feeder, you do what you can to survive. This has to be the move right now. Maybe next round, if I win immunity, I can regain control of this game, but I have no control right now.

Ellie

So I just now realized that I probably look like a fucking goat to everyone, and I’m not here for that. This round Raffy wants to get Jack out and we could definitely pull that off buttttt what if we got Raffy out? I don’t want him to go but if he doesn’t go this round it’ll probably be next. Idk what I’m gonna do, I’ve been playing it safe for too long, but idk if I should make my move YET.

Ellie

Yeah I made up my mind. It has to be jack

Dylan came to me willing to vote out Stephen. I don't know how well I can trust that, especially after these last two rounds. They said they'd be willing to go to rocks, but that is not something that's making me trust them at all. This could be a game-defining move, but I just am not sure if I can trust it. I have a lot to decide in these next 5 hours.

Raffy

Time to be a crackhead again and vote for Stephen. Dylan seems to be down for a Stephen vote, but I am not too sure. All this game talk is making me crazy. It'd be a 4-4 vote, and I feel like we could convince Joseph or Timmy to flip and not go to rocks. We need this to work or our games are tanked

So Raffy was worried about Joseph leaking our vote to maynor/stephen/timmy so even tho Ellie, Raffy, Dylan, and I are all going Stephen were telling Joseph Timmy. So, heres the problem. Lets say that everyone except Jack is voting Jack, and he has an idol/advantage. Whoever he votes for goes home. But if I vote Raffy that ties up his vote. However, if I do that and Jack has allied with Raffy Ellie and Dylan, then the vote is 4-3-1 and they choose who goes home. This... this is a really tough call.

I'm freaking the fuck out. Like I don't want to go and it is a big concern that it is a possibility. I want to trust people but the only one I truly trust is Maynor. I mean also, Stephen and Joseph but not in the same way obviously. I just don't want to get voted out, especially with an idol. Jack is an easy vote, but people don't do things easily in this game. I just think it's the right move and I'm playing my idol if Jack uses as idol or advantage.

Right now the plan is, afaik, to have four people (Raffy, Ellie, Jack, and myself) vote Stephen, tell Joseph it's Timmy in case he leaks to Maynor/Timmy/Stephen and one of them has an idol, and then the idol will get played on Timmy if one gets played. In theory. We'll see how that goes. Joseph is trying to get me to vote Jack this round, because he doesn't want to vote Timmy, and I'm trying to, well I don't know what I'm trying to convince him off. I told him I'm not voting Jack this round, which is true, but I never told him who I'm really voting for. Who in this game haven't I lied through my teeth to at some point, honestly. Watch me get to the end but trash my social game in the process smh. Jk, I don't see myself getting to F2/F3 (whatever it is). But the point still stands. I could say I have a closest ally in this game, but that'd be another fucking lie. I've voted with different people at different points and haven't had a solid loyalty to Anyone. Agreed w/Joseph on his F2 comments for instance, but I'm not 100% solid with him. (Though, according to Raffy, Joseph is in some alliance with Maynor, Stephen, and Timmy that he's uber loyal to. Good for him lol. Can't relate.) If I have any strategy at this point it's just: play the middle and go after the strongest people/biggest threats. Be a big girl and don't die, and all that. (That's a podcast reference.) So, that's why I don't wanna vote Raffy or Jack, yet. Even with the threat of someone they'd work with coming back from EoE, I'd rather work w/them and have them stick around and target someone like Maynor, Stephen, or Timmy who are strong, worked in orchestrating two blindsides, and one of them likely has an idol I feel like. Also? Jack and Raffy make for good shields, and Raffy literally pitched that to me as a reason not to vote for him last round. Told myself I wasn't gonna listen to him, and was gonna vote for him anyway, but then Keith dropped and I thought about it more and here I am. Basically: Involve yourself in strategy but in way that there's always a bigger threat, or someone more disliked, than you around who the others will want to go after more.

Cats have nine lives. Each life takes with it a memory of a thing, a place, or a person. They’re initially skittish at first and run away from anything that is new to them. They’ll tense up and freeze or run away from a new hand that reaches out to them, a cucumber, a toy snake. But once they warm up to it, they eventually learn to love being pet by that once-new hand, or end up loving the thrill of chasing that toy snake around. They’ll rub their cheek all over it and mark its scent to claim it as theirs. They’ll enjoy being in the presence of their once-new human, curling up with them on the couch while watching late-night movies. Maybe if their human is lucky, the cat will expose its belly and allow it to be gently stroked, putting full trust in them. But when the going gets good, something will happen and that cat will lose all trust, losing one of its nine lives. That’s exactly what I did.

I fell headfirst for someone that I knew from the beginning I wasn’t compatible with at all. We were at vastly different points in our lives and yet, from day one, I was compelled to pursue this blonde, handsome, tall drink of water. I don’t know what he saw in me, a girl that just closed a chapter of her life to move to a foreign country and start anew. But boy did I fall hard and land flat on my face.

I feel so fucking stupid to even open myself up emotionally to someone that I knew things would never work out with. Why did I do it in the first place? Why did I hurt myself like this? Was it the fact that he pried my heart open like a kid who peels open the petals of a budding flower, yet somehow that flower fully bloomed? Or was it that he could read me like a book and saw right through my lies? (How the fuck did he do that so well?)

It was all this and more. It wasn’t just the sex that was mind-blowingly good, though that’s only a small part of it. It was public displays of affection that I was initially scared to reciprocate but learned to love when it was too late. It was the fact that no other partner I had was able to get me to emotionally open up. In other situations I would mentally run away and put up my guard, regardless of how long we had been together. But like they who cast the first stone, he broke through my titanium-enforced armor that guards my heart. I still don’t know if that was a good or bad thing, but that was one tough lesson to learn: feelings are a huge developmental flaw, but they’re also what binds humans together, for better or for worse.

In my case, it was for worse. I let myself be vulnerable to someone who knew how to pick my locks. Like a cat, I exposed myself lying on my back, basking in the sun of the last warm day of the season, no more than 2 inches away from his face. I wanted to kiss him so badly that day but was too scared to. But that’s what being vulnerable means, right? To open yourself up to possible attack? To put your full trust in someone that they won’t hurt you?

I really only have myself to blame for getting into this mess. I can only blame myself for falling head over heels for someone I initially just wanted to get in bed with. I should have known that logically, being vulnerable would get me hurt 100% of the time. But, as dumn as humans are, I stopped listening to logic.

“You know how I am.” Yes, I do know how you are. And that’s what hurts me. To know that I can’t run my hands through your light fluffy hair, to ruin your half-assed attempt at flattening down your adorable, tousled bed-head. To know that we’ll never have deep breakfast talks again over your second cup of espresso. To know you won’t kiss my forehead because you’re too tall. To know that I can’t look into your honey-brown eyes as I tiptoe to kiss you. To know that we can’t hug for more than two seconds because otherwise it’ll be awkward. To know that we’ll never be able to have long, deep conversations like we do with the others, in fear that we’ll fall deeper for each other.

Now we’re just another notch in each other’s bedposts. To be fair, we never really “had” each other to begin with. Instead it was just my turn with you and vice versa--nothing more. But every time you mention something we did together--like walking by the Reichstag at night and learning about what goes on in parliament, like drunkenly kissing for the first time in front of the Berliner Dom, like learning that it’s not “the” Ukraine but just plain ol’ “Ukraine”, like playing on the swings at night and hoping no one catches us--the veins of my heart twinge ever so slightly. Now when you call me out on my lies that my heart is stone-cold or negate my self-doubt, I can only glare at you without words. Because it means you acknowledge that I was vulnerable with you, but I can’t do that anymore. Not without hurting myself all over again.

I get it. You’ve clearly moved on and so have I. We’re done. But a part of me can’t help but still have feelings, as dumb humans do. I’ll be real. While I feel like a fucking dumbass for every throwing myself into someone like you, I don’t regret a second of the time we had together, regardless of what I may say. I only have myself to blame for getting hurt like this and letting my guard down for one shining moment. I should have known that being vulnerable would leave me open to attack. I can only blame you for being so devilishly handsome. Sure you were an asshole when I opened up to you for the last time and made it clear you’ve stopped caring, but you were only protecting yourself from getting hurt. Likewise, I won’t waste my time with someone who’s done with me and wants nothing more. I’ve stopped parsing your messages a second time and wondering if there was a deeper, implied meaning. I’ve now learned to take your words and your actions at face value. 

So now I’ll close my heart up again and reinforce its titanium armor. For the better of our group and our relationship, I’ll bottle up my emotions and cast them off to sea. I’ll pretend to be fine when you bring someone new to our gatherings. I’ll learn to dissociate myself from whatever I felt for you. I’ll still be your friend if you want me to, but if you don’t want anything to do with me, I’ll back off and eventually disappear from the group, and ultimately your life. I think Mikey is a small youtuber that is partaking in a trend solely to grow his channel and it doesn't necessarily depict who he or anyone else in the video is, however due to his fanbase being mostly girls and more ppl are becoming aware of the negative connotations for men and women behind videos like this it received a lot of backlash, and while constructive criticism is good many people are taking it too far. The boys should apologise bc its a dumn trend but I dont think they're bad people

I completely understand, I really do. The trend is stupid and should only be played between friends. However, just like the ask said, if we let boys on the internet (who didn’t mean any harm by it) control how we feel about ourselves, we really are not growing as a society. 

I understand how young girls feel about the video and why it is receiving such criticism, I just don’t feel as attacked (if that is the right word to use) as other people do. If I’m being honest, I couldn’t give two fucks whether or not I am the boys “type”. They’re not the first ones to not be interested in my body type and they’re not going to be last. Women as people need to STOP allowing men to have this kind of control over them. Men should not control how we feel, act or think. If you are comfortable with your body, fuck them. Some day, someone will love your body just as much as you do and on that day, the opinions of the “Buttercream Gang” will be the least important things to you.

I don’t know, maybe I’m just refusing to see the harm in this. But I really do stand by what I said and what was said within the previous ask I reblogged. I agree with you that people are taking the criticism too far, especially for Mikey.

They’re 100% not bad people, they’re just young boys who are in the stage of dicking around and that’s completely fair. I understand they shouldn’t have put it on the internet, considering the position they hold, however they did and now we need to move on. It’s over with.

This past week Image Comics made quite a few announcements in terms of new titles, cover art, and more.

The announcements include new titles from John Layman and Afu Chan, Edward Laroche, as well as a one-shot from Arabson that James Robinson translated. Image also released a preview of a limited cover for THE WEATHERMAN #4 from Bengal as well as a preview of an “impact variant” of CEMETERY BEACH #1 by Jason Howard.

First up in this weekly recap is the cover art for their upcoming fourth issue of their THE WEATHERMAN series with art by Bengal. The issue is set to be released on September 12th with a total of three covers. The cover by Bengal will be a limited cover and it can be seen below courtesy of Image’s press release.

The next piece of news is the one that I’m most excited about. Image and Skybound Entertainment announced a new sci-fi/horror series from writer John Layman and artist Afu Chan.

  From their press release “In OUTER DARKNESS, humankind has successfully colonized the galaxy. But during our interstellar travels, we discovered a terrifying secret out in the vast reaches of space… Enter Captain Joshua Rigg and the crew of the starship Charon, who will encounter demonic possessions, hauntings, and cosmic horror as they embark on a desperate rescue mission into the Outer Darkness of space—where everything wants to kill them.”

The first issue of Outer Darkness will be released on November 7th.

The next new title announced this week is the upcoming new military sci-fi title from Edward Laroche. The first issue of THE WARNING is set to be released on November 28th. From their press release “An enormous machine is slowly materializing in a major metropolitan city on the West Coast. No one knows who sent it, or why—except, perhaps, for the malevolent beings gliding silently through the inky vastness of space toward Earth. In response, a joint multinational combat brigade called Gladiator Two-Six is deployed. Outfitted with next-generation military science and weapons, they’re tasked with stopping any extraterrestrial threat that emerges.”

The last new title announced this week is set for release on November 14th. The one-shot from Arabson was translated from Portuguese by Eisner Award winner James Robinson is titled ELISABETH DUMN AGAINST THE DEVILS IN SUITS.

The synopsis from their press release is as follows “Elisabeth Dumn is a strong, rebellious girl who’s determined to make her own way. And it’s a good thing, too, because her father promised her to the Devil long ago, and he’s coming to claim what’s his.”

Also announced this week will be the first “impact variant” cover for the new title from Warren Ellis and artist Jason Howard. The first issue of CEMETERY BEACH will kick off their “impact variant” covers from Jason Howard, each one giving tribute to artists who had an impact on his career. The impact cover for #1 is a homage to a Spider-Man cover from Todd McFarlane and will be released along with two other cover versions on September 12th.

  JASON HOWARD HONORS ARTISTIC INFLUENCES IN CEMETERY BEACH IMPACT VARIANTS

PORTLAND, OR, 08/15/2018 — Image Comics is pleased to reveal the first cover in a line of “Impact variants” for Warren Ellis and Jason Howard’s CEMETERY BEACH. Each cover will be by Howard, but drawn in the style of an artist who made an impact on his work and influenced his creative career. CEMETERY BEACH #1 Cover C will kick off the line by paying tribute to the iconic Todd McFarlane.

“As a kid seeing Todd’s art for the first time opened my eyes to the fact that comics were drawn by different people,” said Howard. “I was already artistic, but Todd inspired me to focus my creativity on COMICS. These covers are a way for me to give a public nod to artists who’ve made an impact on me, and have some fun trying to capture elements of their style.”
