just did this quest in hallowfall (she's alyza from the mereldar orphanage) and god it's. sad but funny also. she's the most fishphobic orphan you've ever met and her story is tragic and also she's wearing her dead dad's helmet and it is WAY too big for her

This night was definitely a blast from the past. A lot was uncovered and it probably gave me the closure I thought I didn’t need.

So I went out with some high school mates of mine since I’m here in Cavite for the holidays. Anyway, we were drinking when Alyza opened a topic about Kate. God, that name. It’s funny to think that I may have never forgotten it but to hear someone say it to me feels strange. I still hold bits and pieces of our memories in my head and I would feel estranged from them.

It was definitely nostalgic to remember the things we did back then but what surprised me was her side from someone else’s point of view. The things she did and went through because. Things I didn’t know.

I remember going to her school, to her house. Not to be with her but just to be there. I remember the comfort of existing in the same as hers was enough. She did all too. Alyza told me how she would come to my house. She did it all until college when I was already in Manila. How she cried. Made poems. I never knew.

It was crazy to think the things she did because I have made myself believe it was all one sided. I thought I was the only one doing those things between the both of us. I made myself believe I was just delusional. It was painful but it helped me move forward.

Now I know Alyza well enough to believe everything right away but at this point it doesn’t really matter if all she said was true.

Kate was my awakening. She was my first love. We both may not or never exist in the same page anymore but I’m glad to say that she was a significant chapter in my book, and I can only hope that it’s the same in hers.

Maybe I was never really delusional before. Maybe, it was all true.

The people of the village let her in, showing her that the ‘surface dwellers’ weren’t all bad. She’s still quite chaotic, though.
