WHAT IS VLSI ?VLSI is the process of designing and manufacturing electronic chips with a very large number (in millions) of logic gates and flip-flops on a single chip. It is about making a microcircuit by combining many MOS Transistors onto one chip. VLSI as a field of work can be broadly classified into two domains : fron-end and back-end. The Front-end domain includes logic design, Verification, FPGA and DFT. Back-end involves synthesis, timing closure, place-and-route, LVS, DRC, etc. Today VLSI devices are seen everywhere around us. Advanced VLSI chips are often found in our cell phones, cars, household appliances, medical devices, cameras and lots of other electronic articles.SCOPE OF VLSI- FUTURE PROSPECTSSemiconductor Industry is growing fast in India thanks to the Technological Advancement.
