i’m not gonna lie, i hate the editing in the new mew mew op so much. it looks so soulless and half-assed but maybe that’s just the problem with modern animation because everything nowadays boasts a complete lack of shading and spatial depth and most background art is so lazy and generic they could’ve stolen it from a stock website. to say nothing of the fact that most characters look like they’ve just been clicked and dragged on top of the underlying layer which makes the final product look too uncanny valley and only half-finished.

Oh and also her and her dad (ALTO FUCKING CLEF) (THIS SLICE OF CANNED BREAD -> @scp-l4-clef-alto-001) are fine with the whole "clef keeps dying like its a south park gag" thing. Also she figured out that shes "Quite The Hottie" and she loves teasing her GF over it.

thinking if i can relate shoko to a piano to create a piano trio but im not too knowledgeable about the piano despite it also being a string instrument of sorts but her being a surgeon also strikes something within me... i recently also read “the knife” by richard selzer for school and i was very taken with the interpretation of the knife being its own separate thing, which technically it is, but it has a mind of its own, guiding the surgeon with its piercing blade like parting the sea. but rather than separating the red sea like moses had done, it’s more of parting the shore to reveal the red sea, which is ultimately the blood and organs of a human body. that gliding movement contrasted with the harsh reality of what the surgeon is actually doing — cutting up a body — can be related to the piano in some way.

like how like each chord is played, the knife is dipped into the body forcefully to cut away multiple layers of skin, and when it need a clean, smooth cut to observe how mahito may have transfigured the high schoolers or to see how sukuna had ripped yuji’s heart clean out, that serves as the melody. both are needed for the surgery to go well, jarring plunges of the knife into the skin paired with the seamless gesture of the knife against skin. into — the playing of chords, pressing multiple keys at once on the piano. against — the sounding out of a melody, fingers crossing over other fingers in a contortionist manner to make sure the piece flows as clear as possible. shoko also has this funny way of explaining her reversed cursed technique, saying things like ‘fwoosh! hyoi! hya! hyuhyoi!’ and i would expect with how the piano is so difficult with its two-handed requirement and the muting with the pedals that it’s just like that. playing piano and doing an autopsy and healing another sorcerer is just like that — to explain it would make it even more confusing.

went to a classical concert last night and i saw this guy who’s the section leader for the cellos. he had his hair up in a bun and i was like “geto playing the cello fits so well actually” or rather the features of the cello fits him so perfectly and it does !!!! the lower timbre of the cello is such a testament to his raspy and calm voice, but when triggered by external forces (elgar cello concerto im looking @ u — the piece makes such a beautiful use of the instrument), the outburst is so intense and hard-hitting, something i’d expect from a collected man like geto who, when he gets angry and furious, really burns everything in his way with his spite lol.

the lower register of the cello is often a grounding instrument for the piece when it’s not played in a concerto, sort of like a bass guitar in songs, and i think at geto’s core that’s what he was for gojo — someone not as strong as gojo in terms of a flawless technique but always being the voice of reason, that laidback, chill friend who sometimes surprises you with an insane idea that usually differs from the voice of reason (when the cello is put on centre stage for a concerto, that is).

and also the fact that in ep 23’s juju sanpo there’s the (joking) implication of gojo being a violin teacher despite it all being a ploy for megumi’s supposed situation of getting hit on, it also DOES fit gojo so much because the violin in general is a really attention-seeking instrument (don’t kill me!! i play violin and i mean... i sorta agree). there’s not one but two sections of the violins in the orchestra and it’s shrill, high-pitched, a little bit of the buzz in the ear when played not so well, but when manipulated well i think it’s truly one of the most beautiful instruments constructed. and that exactly feels like what gojo is — not to reduce his character to an instrument, but rather just pointing out similar features of the violin’s sound to parts of gojo’s character — a little insufferable and annoying at first but he has a lot of depth with every year that he ages, maybe not at first when he was younger but there is that fact that older violins harmonise and sound better from the constant use and practice of the player.

the gojo now is like an aged violin like an old stradivarius or guarneri, technique honed perfectly from years and years of practice after the whole debacle of riko. the luthier process is also important — the act of satoru’s parents essentially making love and producing gojo who shifted the trajectory of the jujutsu world — where it shows that luthiers who construct the instrument from scratch will not know if their instrument will sound well years later, but it differs in his case. it just so happens that his parents were lucky luthiers who already knew the value of their instrument from the beginning.

wellll I finally finished my first class story in a long time with a character I probably made two years ago BUT I still have a lot of love for the Jedi Knight story and it was worth the wait

I have finally seen the light side version of the story! admittedly her final decision was dark side as you can see but really, you gotta just kill him right? I think I've now seen light & dark side endings for all classes apart from consular (haven't had the heart to go dark, there is a toon for it though) and trooper (only played through once...).

also: the rush to make a formal outfit as I entered the final cutscene as this is one of those hoods up armours that will make your character incredibly bald. like, i know all hoods do it, but some hoods are worse than others and this sure is one of them 🥲🥲🥲🥲

i will maybe post some thoughts and stuff about Adaryn in the next few days (or Kaetos as I am always just...thinking about Them) (or Yalla'ra because I can't think of one knight without thinking of all of them), although i am notoriously bad at writing up what's in my head currently so ahem, feel free to poke me about it ay

hiii Wren here! so this is basically a fresh restart of @pinkhairandpokemon. I decided it would be fun to start at the beginning of their Unova arc this time around. they’re 18 here, and just starting the main story of pokemon black!

I just got kinda… unmotivated to run their old blog anymore?? so I decided it was time for a refresh. SUPER excited to rp as this version of them

this Blake is probably going to be more… standoffish? I guess? not all-out mean but they’re kind of bitchier in this arc of their story (tbf they deserve to be after the shit they went through-) so while they’ll typically be chill in normal interactions they might be like. be a bit more snarky. I’m always scared of being too mean when I rp so please let me know if I need to tone it down!! ;w;
