Setting aside the fact that their entire explanation of the Malaysia one is actually, "this McDonald's sued us, personally," and the fact that BDS is infamously a garbage org -- In fact, just setting aside literally everything it says here:
McDonald's stores are independently run. Each McDonald's location is independent. Each franchisee sets their own policies.
McDonald's doesn't run most of its restaurants; it makes its money from renting out property. Food Theory did a detailed deep dive into this a couple years ago.

McDonald's doesn't HAVE "ties to Israel." It has 229 buildings in Israel. Run by a local company. Which in turn licenses and rents them to individual people.
And that local company said it was spending $5M to donate meals to the IDF. Not McDonald's. Not the individual franchisees.
It turns out that the owner of the company doing this is Omri Padan, one of the founders of Peace Now, which actively fights Israeli settlements in the West Bank; and that the 4,000 daily donated meals are also for "healthcare workers and residents of the affected region" - i.e. massacre survivors from the 22 villages that Hamas demolished in one day.
Why does this matter?
Because, as a result of this boycott,
"the 'local owner operator' distinction was lost on a mob of protesters in Lebanon who ransacked a local McDonald’s restaurant."
McDonald’s Malaysia, which has zero to do wth this and operates in a majority-Muslim country that's actively pro-Palestinian, lost $1.31 million, and is suing BDS.
A Turkish television broadcaster recently fired a news anchor after she appeared on the air with a cup of Starbucks coffee. (Starbucks is the other company BDS has been targeting.)
Protestors covered a Melbourne McDonald's and Starbucks with red paint and anti-Israel stickers that I'm betting its minimum-wage employees had to scrape off.
This is part of why BDS is a garbage org. It doesn't care if the actions it calls for make sense or have a chance of accomplishing anything.
It's literally just there to make noise and waste your attention and energy.
The McDonald's boycott is officially on now, avoid McDonald's restaurants as well as McDonald's products (McCafe Keurig coffee pods comes to mind) in grocery stores in support of Palestine and Palestinian solidarity activities.
