Ihr aktueller Titel "What Happened to Lucy" erinnert mich daran, wie ich früher meine Lieblings-Indie-Bands anfangs noch bei Hinterhofkonzerten besuchte und sie wenig später als Headliner bei größeren Festivals zu Gesicht bekam. Fetzige Gitarren bringen einen genialen Alternativesound, der Elemente aus Retro Punk und Hard Rock kombiniert. Die markanten Vocals wirken dank vollem Einsatz verdammt kräftig und quasi unaufhaltsam. Auch möchte ich euch nahelegen, "What Happened to Lucy" in seiner vollen Länge zu hören, um das geniale Gitarrensolo ab der zweiten Hälfte nicht zu verpassen. Geht außerdem sicher, den Volumenregler großzügig aufzudrehen – ich bin mir sicher, Groove Vultures' musikalischer Stil wird euch nicht mehr allzu schnell loslassen! Monster Movie

Slowdive Ableger Monster Movie steht in den Startlöchern für das fünfte Album. Keep The Voices Distant wird am 31.März via Graveface Records erscheinen und ist der erste Release von Monster Movie nach ihrem letztem Album aus 2010. Gegründet wurde Monster Movie von den beiden Kumpels Christian Savill und Sean Hewson im Jahre 2001, beide machen aber schon seit Ende der 80er zusammen Musik. Savill spielt zudem Gitarre bei Slowdive und ist seit 2014 mit deren Reunion beschäftigt. Zeit wurde trotzdem gefunden und so formierten sich auch Monster Movie zu einem kleinen Comeback. Bei den Aufnahmen half auch Slowdive Drummer Nick Chaplin aus, wurde aber mittlerweile durch James Harrison ersetzt. Das Quartett komplettiert Kev Walls an der Gitarre. Der poppige und eingängige Alternativesound trägt Wurzeln aus Shoegaze, Poppunk und Dreampop. Wir sind gespannt auf die neuen Songs. Hört Shouldn't Stray From The Shadows als ersten Appetizer.
