here we are, today's @woltourney beefaganda post is a nice juicy loredrop! sort of.

the problem with her being from aerslaent is that we know so little about it thus far, so i can't go as hogwild with her early days as i'd like. that being said i do have a few of the broad strokes set in stone! (unless what we learn about it in the future makes it impossible, in which case i will grumble about it and go back to the drawing board, i guess)

that being said, please join me in the lore mines for a rundown of beef's backstory!

she was raised by her father, who was in charge of the shipping fleet of the local wealthy merchant, and as she grew up she learned all about the family business. her mother was largely absent from her life, and the few times she did bother to show up, it did not go well between them. but it was fine, because she and her dad had each other, and that was enough.

in her early life she was something of a golden child--popular and well liked in the village, physically gifted, preternaturally skilled in navigation, and lucky enough to attract the eye of the boss's daughter, she had very little to complain about. and yet it all eventually unraveled, as these stories sometimes do.

her success earned her much good, but it also earned her some powerful enemies. a series of setbacks and betrayals rocked the foundations of her life, leaving her questioning many things she had taken for granted before. but the crowning moment happened when the son of the wealthy merchant, furious that his sister had chosen a commoner, attacked her in the heat of the moment. her wife stepped between them and was struck by her brother's stray bullet. as she held her wife's body in her disbelieving hands, other disappointments fresh in her mind and still unprocessed, she felt something inside herself shatter like glass.

she had no memory of the ensuing hours, but she would later be told that she killed everyone in the house. it was clear that she could never return--how could she, after having done something so monstrous? but if the world was as harsh and cruel as she was beginning to think it was... what choice did she have, but to become a monster worthy of it?

and that is how my horrible babygirl became one of the most bloodthirsty and violent pirates ever

tune in next week (by which i mean tomorrow) to find out how she went from her current situation to adventurer, warrior of light, and eventual savior of the world

i have a bad habit of going back and proofreading my fanfics after i've published them. i don't know why, but i never catch any errors or mistakes when i'm in the process of uploading? i've been fixing mistakes for the last couple chapters of tomorrow never came, sorry i didn't do this earlier 😅

also i'm actually trying to organize and plan out my chapters better with an actual outline. uploads will probably be slower, but i should organize better like i've done with my other fanfics in the past
