Exhibit - Alex Duleba
Alex is a close friend of mine, I don't think I've ever seen Alex bored or even say that word before. He's got a constantly revolving eye that's searching for entertaining snaps, which he shoots with his trusty all-in-one dv cameras. I've gone on some of my most memorable riding trips with him and always am treated to watching him passionately shoot pins into his google maps app like it's a voodoo doll of his enemy. Alex's passion for bmx is similiar to the way Taz from lonely tunes throws a tantrum.
This is a tiny little taste of his photos plucked aside from his upcoming projects that show a little bit of the inner workings of what's going on underneath one of Illinois' most traveled and dented-sticker laden flat black Protecs. As well as a couple stanzas describing what it's all about.

RR :
Explain what goes into what sounds to me as the tedious and time consuming task of shooting still photos on VX cameras.
AD:
Shooting photos on the Memory Mode of a VX can sometimes be a pain in the ass because there is a delay when shooting. It is a larger camera thats core purpose is video and not photos. It is not ideal to take photos on, but I personally love the look of the images it captures more than, for instance, an iPhone flick. The VX gives it a certain unique look that cannot be reproduced. I love how standard definition and the 4:3 aspect ratio looks for videos and photos. Although it can sound like an inconvenience, you eventually get used to the delay and when out searching or riding, I always have my camera bag on me anyway.
I haven’t heard of anybody else shooting photos on a vx before, have you ever seen anybody else shooting on one ?
No, I don’t think I have seen or heard of anyone else shooting photos on a VX within the action sports scene- I’m sure it’s been done though. I do love the idea of it and hope to inspire more people to do it. If you own a Sony VX 2000 or 2100, I encourage you to use the ‘Memory Stick’ that you may not have noticed in the back of your camcorder, or to purchase a Memory Stick preferably with more than the stock 32mb online or from a homie. I am hoping to create a mainly submission-based Memory Mode zine in the future after putting out the first issue, so submit me some pictures you take on your VX if you decide to do so to :
Who or what would you say has inspired your to lug around a heavy camera bag around with you everywhere you go ?
My inspiration comes from my friends. I am always trying to capture things we’re stoked on and memories to look back on.
Whenever we’ve been driving or we’re out browsing possible spots this thing happens where you get really excited about a sign we will pass, usually is followed by laughter and passion what do you love about signs so much ?
One reason I love signs is because sometimes there can be words put there that have nothing to do with a certain thing, but have everything to do with it at the same time. Although not meant to be, public signs are open for interpretation. I also enjoy some of the images and designs of some signs.

(Going to hopefully be pinning one of these "Exhibits" up every week to ten days or so from here on out)
