I love LOTR storytelling so much, having such info dumps in appropriate places really adds depth to the story.

I like when narrator is all-seeing and all-knowing (not just the protagonist) so you can see a story from different angles and when needed, emotions and feelings of different characters are revealed. The story feels more full and objective in this way.

From my first read I remember the POV suddenly jumping to "other characters" only once when it was needed (Faramir and Eowyn, Gollum)
