Don't apologize for how long this is! If people want to blacklist it they can lol, I'm having fun! I live in the granular!
You put so much research in this response, I'm impressed honestly!
I"m not sure which script it is you found where Padme "picks up on" Obi-Wan's feelings, but I recall that there was an idea for Padme sort-of being Force sensitive while pregnant with the twins and having visions when she slept and things like that, so if it's in ROTS then that tracks. But it seems to indicate more that they're pointing out how strong the twins are even before they're born rather than anything about Padme's actual character. If it's in either of the other two films, that's a different story.
I gotta be honest, I hate Lucas's quotes about Padme and Anakin's relationship in AOTC. I don't feel like it tracks with how EITHER Natalie or Hayden chose to act their earlier scenes. Anakin's pretty aware of how he feels about Padme, he stumbles over calling her beautiful in literally their first scene together, he intentionally disregards her request to stop staring at her and seems almost amused by it, he's the one who initiates the seduction in the lake scene, he asks about former lovers/crushes in the picnic scene, and he's the one who brings the topic up again in the fireplace scene. Padme meanwhile says no VERY firmly in the packing scene and while I know the scene is intended to indicate that she secretly only feels uncomfortable because she likes him back, the way Natalie acted it doesn't come across that way. There's also the deleted scene with Padme's family where her family are actively trying to convince her to admit she likes him and she's not super responsive. She kisses him back in the lake scene and implies she likes him back in the fireplace scene, but there's so little to really showcase that Padme holds anything but a nostalgic fondness for the kid he used to be. The fact that they bring up her BDSM dress is so frustrating because that was LUCAS'S design, one that does not match up to her fashion choices up until then in any way whatsoever. It's quite honestly my least favorite outfit of hers by a LONG shot, I hate it so much.
And most of my frustration here is because I'm willing to believe that Lucas felt like it was romantic. He's pulling from romcom tropes that are so based in misogyny that he doesn't even realize it doesn't make any sense. Nothing about their romance in AOTC is written well. Padme never once seems like someone who would be into someone like Anakin, Anakin never does anything that should work on the person we know Padme to be, Anakin's actions with the Tuskens should be a major turn off for the character they've written Padme to be by this point. I have no reason to believe Padme would look at a mass child murderer and go "oh yeah I want THAT one." None. I have no reason to believe Padme would even look at the weird awkward horny teenager and be into it. People have come up with a million metas about why she DOES to try to explain it, I've done it myself. But the truth is that she falls for him because the narrative requires it. She falls for him because Lucas didn't think about her enough to be bothered coming up with a reasonable motivation for her. She falls for him because of misogynistic tropes where unlikable men always get the ethereal model-like Princess because it's a wish fulfillment power fantasy.
I recognize that's not the discussion we're having, so I'm sorry for getting off topic, but wow do I have a lot of feelings about that.
For the discussion at hand, this is why I said that if Padme were just suddenly handed Force sensitivity in canon at an adult age and then attempted to become a Jedi that yeah, sure, she'd probably struggle equally as much as Anakin does with things like attachments and selfishness. But I don't think that that has any bearing on whether Padme COULD'VE been a good Jedi if she'd been found at a normal age and brought to the Jedi from the start.
You could make the argument that if Anakin WASN'T involved in Palpatine's plan and Palpatine had never influenced Anakin at all, that Anakin would've been able to stop him because that's his destiny and he'd be a lot less twisted and inclined towards genocide because he'd have had a lot of years of training under the Jedi without the mistrust Palpatine encouraged. So yes, his plan was in place before Anakin and didn't REQUIRE Anakin, but you can easily also argue that it would've failed without Anakin being on his side because Anakin would've killed him. Palpatine probably knew about the prophecy, too, and recognized how powerful Anakin was and chose to groom Anakin not just to get a nice powerful apprentice but to basically eliminate the only person who might actually be able to put a crimp in his plans.
Anakin IS just a kid who's getting cranky in the Council scene, sure, but within the narrative that scene is also there to show you that this is still the person who will become Darth Vader. Without that scene, all we ever have in TPM is Anakin being kind and sweet and perfect. That scene is there to say, "This. This is why he falls. These issues might not be major now but they will grow to consume him beacuse he'll allow them to." It's not just that he's cranky, because that's clearly not it. He's SCARED and he's LYING about it to these people he's claimed to be his heroes. And while this is a totally understandable reaction for a child to have, it does not make for a good Jedi. Anakin's got bad instincts and those instincts will lead him down a bad path without help and discipline. Palpatine encourages it, sure, but the instincts are already there and Anakin doesn't truly work all that hard to learn better.
Yes, Anakin's issue regarding his visions of his mother would've been prevented had he just been honest with Obi-Wan and Yoda. We can say this with 100% certainty because guess what? We see Ahsoka do exactly this, so we have proof of how Yoda specifically reacts when told a Padawan has had a vision of someone close to them being in danger of dying. Ahsoka is allowed to travel with Padme and told to trust her instincts to try to protect Padme. And Ahsoka's vision ends up being true and Padme survives. Anakin waits WEEKS before doing anything about his visions of Shmi and is never honest about it to anyone who might have been able to tell him to just... go do something about it. I have exactly zero qualms with saying it is canon that if Anakin had been honest with the Jedi, Shmi would've lived. His mistrust of them leads directly to her death, which leads directly to the Tusken massacre and Anakin's fall to the Dark side.
"Surely, both of them would feel more attachment to the people who raised them their whole lives, but it’s not an issue in the original trilogy."
This is where we might need to define which definition of attachment we're using. Since this is a Star Wars discussion, I'm using Lucas's definition which he takes from Buddhism, which indicates that attachment is VERY SPECIFICALLY a toxic selfish relationship, primarily involving a refusal to let go of something or someone. There is zero indication that Luke and Leia have attachments to the Larses and the Organas at all.
Leia in particular probably has to learn to let go of that fear pretty early given the entire family's involvement in the Rebellion and the risks that come along with that. None of which means it doesn't cause her pain to lose her family and her home, but she's been prepared to risk everything for this cause for a WHILE.
Luke doesn't have that, obviously, but I'll go out on a limb here and say that Luke does not get raised in the same environment Anakin did and so has a very different sort of relationship to his parents than Anakin did to Shmi. Anakin and Shmi were slaves where the only thing they had was each other. Shmi's entire world revolved around Anakin, he was her first and only priority, and the concept of losing each other would've been a major worry that Shmi probably would've done a lot to ensure didn't happen (unless it's a good thing for Anakin as in the case of letting him leave with the Jedi). Luke is raised free, with both parents out on a nice farm and seems to have fairly good relationships with his friends and has been allowed the ability to have a relatively normal childhood. Owen and Beru are both generally good people who would've instilled good values in Luke that allow him to transition into being a Jedi a little more easily than Anakin does despite being so much older. And even with that, Luke still does struggle with it a bit and Yoda isn't entirely certain that training him is even a good idea.
I'm pretty sure you brought these examples up to counter the idea that the only reason Padme would struggle as a Jedi is if she suddenly gained powers as an adult and that neither she nor Anakin would've struggled if they'd been brought in at a normal age. Lucas himself does say this pretty explicitly about Anakin.
If he’d have been taken in his first years and started to study to be a Jedi, he wouldn’t have this particular connection as strong as it is and he’d have been trained to love people but not to become attached to them.
In this film, (Phantom Menace) you begin to see that he has a fear of losing things, a fear of losing his mother, and as a result, he wants to begin to control things, he wants to become powerful, and these are not Jedi traits. And part of these are because he was starting to be trained so late in life, that he’d already formed these attachments.
Yes, Luke comes in late in life and manages, but for one, Luke is raised SUPREMELY differently, and for two, the Jedi Order doesn't truly exist anymore which makes being a Jedi at all something of a different prospect for Luke even if he tries to generally follow the same values and philosophies and teachings as the old Order. You can make the same argument for someone like Ezra, too. I think both Luke and Ezra might struggle a little more under the expectations of the old Order if they had to join it the way they are in canon, but they also both are able to exemplify the CORE of what it means to be a Jedi without attachments.
So with regards to Padme, I think she would struggle because she expresses a pretty firm desire to have a typical family in an extended scene in AOTC and gets VERY into the idea once she's pregnant in ROTS. It clearly means a lot to her, even if it's not an attachment as Lucas defines it. Padme wouldn't be able to handle the COMMITMENT of being a Jedi because I'm honestly of the opinion that the Naboo government seems to ask the exact same things of its leadership (specifically its senators) as the Jedi ask of their members. And while Padme is capable of committing initially, she struggles under it and ultimately breaks that commitment for Anakin in an attempt to have her cake and eat it, too. So would she make a perfect Jedi? No. But would she be capable of being manipulated into a full-on genocide to save one person? Eh, I'm skeptical. She's willing to overlook the Tusken massacre, but she does seem more inclined to be upset by Order 66, both the genocide of the Jedi and the destruction of the Republic. She's already more willing than Anakin is to see Palpatine as corrupt and work against him, despite him being her mentor from a young age.
But again, remove Padme from ALL OF THAT and she's almost essentially a different person. If she never knows her own family and grows up among the Jedi and their communal family and doesn't become a political figure at 12-14 years old, this fundamentally changes so much about who we know her to be as a person. If Anakin is someone who can be capable of being a good Jedi if he's simply removed from the environment that created the traits that made him a bad one, the same can be said of Padme.
"The question is, did he have to be a Tragic Hero to complete his journey? I’m not so sure."
I mean, against, you can answer this question in both ways. Yes, he has to be a Tragic Hero to complete his journey because that's the story Lucas wanted to tell. But in universe? No. I think I've since lost this quote I saw once so I can't get it for you, but I'm fairly certain Lucas has made a statement to the effect of "Anakin was supposed to kill Palpatine in his office with Mace and DEFIED his destiny that day." Which to me says no, he did not have to be a Tragic Hero to complete his journey and in fact wasn't SUPPOSED to be a Tragic Hero in the first place. Anakin chooses to become one by defying his own fate. And then chooses to fulfill it 25 years later when his kid is on the line and he's in a lose/lose situation. But he's making a choice 25 years late. And that's in essence kind-of the point of the story. You can always make the right choice, no matter how long you've been committing to making the wrong one. Anakin always has the ability to fulfill that prophecy, he just chooses every day not to do so because it benefits him not to.
Moving on to Satine and the Mandalorians!
I'm not gonna lie, "Lucas and Filoni agreed that cultures are capable of change" so that Filoni could undo the entire concept that the Mandalorians were capable of being a peaceful people and re-insert the Mandalorians as a violent warrior culture is immensely hilarious. Like yes, they can change, but doing it in THIS way just makes it look like they're going backwards. The Mandalorians tried to change to be peaceful/pacifist and decided actually they'd rather be violent and are just re-asserting the status quo.
"I also think the above info shows that they wanted to use the romantic vibes from the Moulin Rouge relationship and transpose them into this show without actually doing any work within the story."
I mean, they're denying that they were doing that in the quote you used, but if they were going for Moulin Rouge as an inspiration, they missed the mark by a MILE. Satine in Star Wars doesn't truly feel much of anything like Satine in Moulin Rouge. Moulin Rouge's Satine is an older well-to-do prostitute who desperately wants more for her life and constantly has to pretend to be what other people want her to be until she meets a guy who seems to be genuinely in love with her and she falls into a romance with him because it's the only thing she can truly have for herself. And as I write this, I'm realizing that Moulin Rouge would've been a WONDERFUL template for the Anidala relationship, actually. Not beat for beat, necessarily, but a lot of what's there works fairly well for how the Anidala relationship could've been done to give both characters more plausibility. But it doesn't truly fit Obi-Wan and Satine AT ALL.
It is interesting that the idea came from someone else on the writing team and that they always intended to kill her off. I suppose that makes sense both because if she's a foil for Padme then that's kind-of necessary and because you'd have to explain her lack of existence later on if she isn't written out somehow. It's less egregious than Ahsoka's existence, but I feel like it's the same general concept.
I think I touched on most of your points here and went off on a few tangents of my own!
Of course, thinking about how Bo-Katan and Satine's father's treatment of them influenced Bo-Katan's terrible choices actually starts to shed some light on SATINE'S terrible choices, too.
Because as much as Bo-Katan would've dug her heels in and refused to compromise on her beliefs regarding traditional Mandalorian values and what their father would've wanted, Satine would've dug her heels in just the same and refused to compromise on her OWN opposite beliefs.
Which leads us to how Satine treats Obi-Wan and her disregard and dismissal of the Jedi and the situation they're in. There is nothing Obi-Wan could ever say that would convince Satine that the Jedi fighting in the war is a necessary evil. Nothing. He'll NEVER be able to convince her otherwise because Satine likely got completely dismissed by her father for her choice to be a pacifist or her arguments that Mandalorian infighting was supremely stupid. She was her father's EMBARRASSMENT and she likely knew it just as well as Bo-Katan did. I imagine she was asked to change her mind a lot or to just give up and compromise because she was the heir or something to that effect and she never ever allowed herself to because she knew that she was RIGHT.
But this leads to her refusing to see any kind of nuance in the Jedi's situation. It leads to a VERY limited definition of what it means to be a "peacekeeper" that doesn't take into account what you do what someone else attacks YOU. She claims she's not against the idea of defending herself, but cannot wrap her head around the idea that the Jedi fighting on behalf of the Republic IS them defending themselves and their people. Obi-Wan TRIES to argue his side of it, tries to make her see that refusing to fight would do nothing but allow the Separatists to kill and enslave and oppress everyone in the Republic, and Satine will hear NONE of it. She's completely and entirely convinced that she's right and refuses to budge on the topic to the point that she's willing to get into a screaming match with Obi-Wan about it in public.
This doesn't excuse or condone her arrogance and refusal to compromise or understand someone else's situation, but it at least adds some context to it to help make that unfortunate aspect of her personality make more SENSE. I know where it comes from now, and that lets me see it in a different light even if I still don't agree with her. Because while she was right about the Mandalorians (mostly), she was WRONG about the Jedi. She was wrong about the Separatists.

So I finally saw Volume 2 of Stranger Things 4 last night and I just... have a lot of thoughts about the season, and I've already yelled at my friends so now I'll be sharing them here!
Warning: unpopular opinions and some spoilers ahead 😅
I honestly can't decide if season 4 was really good or just okay. I will probably be able to say with more certainty after I've had more than 24 hours to think on it. I will say that it left me feeling kind of empty and like full of... dread, I guess?
Like I have no idea how we're going to come back from this, how Hawkins will, how Max will (yes, I sobbed, I was very upset!).
Okay, first the good:
I did actually quite enjoy Eddie. I wasn't sure how to feel about him at the start, but he turned out to be quite sweet (him and Chrissy were adorable together!!), and he brought that newcomer vibe pretty good.
I love that Steve and Robin are best friends. I love how the team up of the kids and teens (or. older teens and younger teens?) happens way earlier than normal. Tammy Thompson 😅 and Vickie is great! Love the Molly Ringwald vibes she has going.
Also put some damn respect on Sadie Sink, she carried this season.
I adored all of the callbacks to the earlier seasons (the lite brite scene in episode 7 had me yelling i tell you. YELLING) and how everything was connected! I love that they dove deeper into the overall mythology and lore of the show, and given us some long-awaited answers (and also Hopper's backstory being revealed. OOF).
(More + spoilers under cut)
I am THRILLED that we finally got the Jopper kisses. All the scenes in the church had me simultaneously cheering and 🥺😳.
Big confession here: I actually am enjoying the stancy renaissance. I'm technically a stoncy shipper because the three of them fighting the demogorgon was unparalleled in season one!
And also I don't think it's out of character, I don't think it was out of nowhere. This is the first time they've really teamed up since their break-up in '84, and they've both grown up a lot as people. I mean the ideal would be the three of them all working out their issues and just becoming a throuple but eh. I think Steve and Nancy have more natural chemistry.
Okay, that was the likes. Here's what I didn't particularly enjoy:
The series felt simultaneously rushed and bloated.
Did we really need to spend so much time over multiple episodes in the Russian prison? Did we need to spend that much time with the stoner jokes and Cali team plot (Argyle's role could've been wayyy reduced)? Did we really need to spend so much time in the NINA project?
Also I have to be honest, I'm still devastated by the finale, and eager to see where this goes, but also dreading it.
And... okay. I'm probably going to be disliked for this, but I am just not seeing Steddie or Ronance. This is my own opinion, but I don't think either couple has all that much chemistry. That might be a me problem! But I just don't see it.
I do absolutely think Steve is bi, but that's a different matter entirely.
Oh by the way, even if the whole “love triangle” thing was stale (I don’t think it is), I honestly felt annoyed that we couldn’t get any resolution for it. I know bigger things were happening but just. I wanted some actual answers! And we didn’t get any!!!
Also like I said previously, the story was simultaneously full of some of the best storyline decisions ever (it was Henry Creel all along!!! everything in Hawkins can be tied back to him!!!!!! that is BITCHING), and also literally the dumbest of all moments.
Like. The Duffer brothers had yet another season where they forgot about Will and Jonathan as characters beyond the whole 'is will gay/is will going to come out' which mostly manifested as him staring longingly at Mike. Please give him more to do in Season 5, D-Bros. You even forgot his birthday.
Like what is going on with Jonathan? What is going on with him and Nancy? What happened to him dreaming about going to NYU since he was six? I know people change but we've barely covered him at all since season 2, and now he's just a pothead who's like an absent father to his own brother.
Mike continues to be an asshole who frankly wouldn't deserve Will even if Will came out to him. It may just be that he's a teen but he's just. Yuck.
And I loved the almost-coming-out but i just. i just wanted him to come out dammit! I don't need fanfair, it was like that scene was metaphorically holding its breath. JUST SAY IT.
They also forgot the fucking nail bat. The ultimate iconic weapon and it is nowhere to be seen in a season that involves going into the Upside Down.
Okay. I think that's everything.
My tentative belief is that season 4 was good. I don't know if it was the best season. I don't think it was the worst season. It tied in a lot of cool lore, but really kind of went all over the place in terms of stories, and a lot of characters ended up left out in the cold. Trying to cut it some slack because of COVID happening but it was. A lot.
Thanks for listening anon, but also deepest apologies for rambling at you.

Introducing: Valence Bandersnatch. Or Val, if you'd prefer that
He's a British boy (complete with the accent), he lives in Nep's forest by himself, and he's a murderer, getting random people to go back to his little cottage for tea and crumpets or whatever before killing them. From there, he has to dump the bodies in Nep's lake, since he's indebted to Nep (the family of lake dwellers are allowing him to live on their land, so he has to repay them somehow to keep the peace)
He's a flirt with a weird set of morals. Like,, he'll flirt with a person and do sinful things with them if he's in a good mood, but forcing yourself on someone who doesn't want it though? That's a big no no, and if he finds out that someone's done that to someone else before, he will literally kill them on the spot. He’s also got this weird ability that involves changing his appearance, so he can make himself look like anyone he wants. The only thing he can't do from there is mimic their voice. As far as a job goes, he's a hunter and an herbalist, and he sometimes even lends his ability to enchant things to people as well, though that's more expensive for them
Because I was bored and had some free time, I went and wrote a thing to kinda introduce him a little :P it's kinda long though, hence why there's a cut here. Just be warned though,, there's violence, one scene gets a little suggestive (nothing more than kissing happens though, soooo??), and I guess there's some drugging? Some weird aphrodisiac-like substance and a poison, used separately on different things
You'd been minding your own business, absentmindedly swishing your bare feet back and forth in the water as you laid on your back on the wooden dock, looking up at the canopy of trees that seemed to loom over you. The air was a pleasant temperature, not too warm, not too cold, as it drifted through the leaves, occasionally blowing an individual leaf loose and causing it to come fluttering down to the ground. As you listened to the sound of the leaves being caught by the gentle breeze, you let out a soft sigh. You'd been so stressed lately with life; between work and family, you'd felt as though you were dangerously close to snapping and committing murder. Not that you actually would, though.
You'd been so stressed lately with life that when you arrived here and settled down on the dock, you didn't register the pair of solid white sockets that watched your every move, calculating when to strike.
A low growl in some nearby brush caught your attention and you immediately shifted your gaze to them, your brows furrowing; what the hell?... It sounded like it came from some sort of large predator, but the biggest predators that resided in this forest were the simple bobcats. Not even bears called this place their home. Sitting up, you pulled your feet out of the water and fumbled with your shoes and socks, scrambling to slip them on as the growling began to grow nearer and nearer. As soon as you'd successfully put your socks and shoes back on, you stood, narrowing your eyes slightly as you strained to see the shape that was huddled in the brush better. From where you currently stood, all you could see was black and white. Though... If you didn't know any better, you'd say it looked humanoid. How strange.
You took a small step toward the creature, and then a second, and then a third, but it remained almost perfectly still. Another growl made you freeze in place, though this was different from what you'd heard before. This growling sounded more like the sound your stomach would make whenever it called out for food. A pair of solid white sockets, entirely focused on you, narrowed slightly in what could've been considered joy, and you'd somehow edged close enough to be able to watch as a wide grin stretched across the creatures face, displaying a row of serrated, sharp teeth. And then the creature rose to his feet, tilting his head as he stared at you.
It was a skeleton, clad in a pair of baggy basketball shorts and a white t-shirt. His shirt, however... you frowned, your eyes locking on the vivid red that stained it. Right over where his sternum would be, there was a red blotch that resembled a hand print, and you felt your blood run cold. The skeleton watched your expression twist from confusion to fear, and he let out a raspy chuckle, stuffing his hands in his pockets. He then bared his teeth, still smiling widely as he asked, "Hey there, pal. You up for a game of tag?" You were lost for words, shaking your head as you stepped off the dock onto the earth, your eyes wide with fear. His body warped through the space between the two of you and he roughly grabbed your arm, digging his claws into your skin. You yelped as they broke the skin, your eyes watering up as he proceeded to lift your arm. He locked gazes with you as a deep teal tongue slipped past his maw, trailing up your arm and licking up a droplet of blood. Feeling yourself begin to tremble, you whimpered, your voice much weaker than normal, "P-Please... stop..." He licked a bit more of your blood up, his sockets hooded as he leaned even closer, his hot breath fanning over your face as he purred, "I'm it, ok? I'm gonna let you go and give you a ten second head start before I come after you. If I catch you, it's game over. Now," he released your arm, excitement flickering in his sockets, "run, human. Run as fast as you can."
Feeling your heart jump up into your throat, you turned and began to run, hearing the skeleton burst into laughter as he watched you. In your frenzy, you abandoned the established path, running through the brush in a random direction and crying out as you felt thorns scratch at your exposed skin. Whatever it took to get away from that monster, you'd do it without regret.
Still running as fast as your legs would allow, you glanced back over your shoulder, not noticing rays of sunlight momentarily pass over something metallic. You put your foot down, hearing a click, and then you screamed, collapsing in pain as tears streamed down your face. You sobbed loudly, reaching down to pry at the "jaws" of the trap that'd clamped down on your leg just above your ankle, ignoring how the metal teeth sliced the skin of your fingers. Just as you felt the trap loosen a hair bit, your grip on it slipped, and you screamed again as it latched down on your leg, once more at full force. You let out a choked sob as you heard the brush begin the move nearby, a cry for help ripping from your lungs. This was it. This was how you'd die. The trap very clearly wasn't going to budge, and with even the smallest of movements, a searing pain ran up your leg, causing you to cry out in agony yet again. You curled in on yourself, trying to tune out the throbbing from your leg, and in doing so, you failed to see a second skeleton step out of the brush nearby. Upon seeing you on the ground, your entire body shaking as you sobbed loudly, he froze, letting out a long, low whistle, as if impressed on some level, "Oh dear."
Hearing a new voice, you bolted up from your current position, forcing yourself to stand as you faced him, whining loudly, "Please, help me. I need help, I don't wanna die." The new skeleton frowned, setting down the basket he was carrying and making his way over to you, "It's gonna be alright, I promise. I'm gonna lean down to open the trap, and I need you to hold onto me. Do you think you could do that for me, human?" You nodded, reaching out to the stranger and tightly grasping his shoulders as he squatted beside you, curling his phalanges around the jaws of the trap, and with what looked like no effort at all, opened it, freeing your leg. As he rose to his feet again, his grip was gentle yet firm as he wrapped an arm around you, tugging you flush against his side and sighing, "Here, I'll carry you. You're pretty badly hurt and I wouldn't wanna see you make the injury any worse." Despite not knowing this man, you nodded and gave your consent, wrapping your arms around his neck vertebrae as he lifted you, one arm supporting your back while the other was tucked under your knees. He then began to walk, one of his sockets going dark as the other flared up with cyan tinted magic, encasing his discarded basket and making the item begin to float. As he carried you, you lightly rested your head against his shoulder, looking up to admire the color of his magic. He kept his attention forward, pausing to glance back over his shoulder as a twig snapped, worry briefly crossing over his expression. He then stole a quick glance down at you, offering you a small smile, "Human, I need you to close your eyes, please."
You wanted to ask why, but with the way your throat burned from your screaming and sobbing, you decided that questions could wait. You closed your eyes, and then you winced, feeling your stomach turn. Your head spun and for a brief moment, you felt as though static teased at your skin. Although you felt the skeleton shift you in his arms, you kept your eyes shut, waiting for the ok to open them again. Glancing around his small living room, the skeleton watched as his magic lowered his basket to rest on the coffee table and then faded from sight, breathing in deeply as he very delicately lowered you onto the sofa, his voice a mumble, "Alright... you can open your eyes now, friend."
You slowly cracked open your eyes, your heart thudding harder at how close your companion now was to you, offering you a small smile again, "I apologize for that... I needed to use a shortcut to get here faster, where you'd be safe. The only problem is that the transition wouldn't have been pleasant for you, had you kept your eyes open." You nodded slowly, swallowing a lump in your throat as you tore your gaze from him and began to look around, your voice cracking, "W-Where are we?... What's a shortcut?" You looked back to him before continuing, "Who are you? Was that your trap I got caught in? What were you-" He pressed a single phalange over your lips to silence you, his expression softening, "This is my cottage, and a shortcut... well, let's see... it's like teleportation, essentially. To answer your other questions, my name is Valence Bandersnatch, but you're free to call me Val, if you'd like. And no, that wasn't my trap. Believe me, I wouldn't put a trap in such a place, if I had any. While I understand that you likely have many more questions for me, you need to take it easy now. I'm gonna heal up those injuries of yours, and then we can have some tea while we wait for that deranged maniac to pass by. He won't find you here, I promise. All you need to do is keep your voice down."
You nodded in understanding, watching Valence curiously as he lowered himself to his knees, gently moving your injured leg and holding a hand over where the trap had caught you. One of his sockets flared up with magic again, and more similarly colored magic surrounded his hand. As your injury began to rapidly heal, your eyes widened in a mix of shock and awe, your voice barely a whisper, "Whoa... that's so cool..." His cheekbones became flushed, a faint blush beginning to stain them as he smiled sheepishly, releasing your leg as it finished healing, "Thank you... I'm very happy you think so, human." He climbed up onto the couch beside you, holding his hand over the scratches on your arm. Your gaze followed his motions and you continued to watch in awe as the scratch healed before your eyes, just as they'd done before.
His magic faded away and his second socket returned to normal, both irises present once more. Your gaze met his and it was silent for a moment, his multicolored, swirled eye lights captivating you. His faint blush darkened slightly and he cleared his throat, glancing away from you and sheepishly scratching the back of his skull, "I uh... how about I get us some cake and tea? The cake is fresh, just made this morning, and I can whip up a kettle of tea in no time at all." A soft blush teased at your own cheeks as you smiled softly, "As long as it wouldn't be a problem or anything, I'd really like that." The skeleton returned your smile and shook his head as he stood up, "Of course, it's not a problem. Not in the slightest," he paused, tilting his head and playfully winking at you, "especially not for a human as lovely as yourself."
Your blush darkened a small bit and you looked away from him, trying to tune out the way he chuckled at having been successful at flustering you. As he turned and exited the room, you let out a deep breath that you weren't even aware you'd been holding; sure, you'd only just met Valence, but he was such a gentleman to you. He was so gentle and considerate, and his magic was beautiful. He was also quite attractive now that you thought about it. His smile gave you butterflies and his eyes (eye sockets?) were mesmerizing, and there's no way you could forget that sexy British accent he had. You blinked. Wait, what was happening right now? Were you seriously developing a crush on him? He was a stranger, but he'd also saved your life, too. As thoughts raced in your head, you failed to notice as he appeared in the doorway, a small plate in hand that held a fork and a piece of cake. Seeing that you were lost in thought, he briefly paused to admire the look on your face. Excitement bubbled up in his very soul, and he grinned to himself; he'd saved you once, but before the day was over, he'd save you yet again.
He quickly rearranged his expression, his smile smaller and more genuine in appearance as he approached the couch and cleared his throat, gaining your attention as he offered you the slice of cake, "Here's your cake. The tea is almost ready, and I can bring it to you once it's done." You accepted the cake and couldn't help but smile at him again, "Ok... thanks Val. I really appreciate you doing all this for me." The skeleton waved off your words, nearly beaming at you as he returned your smile, "Oh, don't mention it. Anything for such a darling human." Your cheeks flushed again and your smile turned shy as you sheepishly refocused your attention on the piece of cake. Val was quick to vanish from the room again and you grasped your fork, slicing off a small bit of the cake and popping it into your mouth. As it hit your tongue, your eyes widened in pleasant surprise and you practically moaned at the flavor. It was perhaps the best cake you'd ever had in your entire life.
So not only was Val your savior that happened to be attractive and sweet, but he was also a great baker too. Talk about a catch.
You'd eaten about half of the slice before you began to notice the way heat coarsed through your body. You repressed a tiny mewl as it reached your core, causing you to press your thighs together. He wouldn't have done something to cake… would he?
As Val crossed into the living room again with two cups of tea, your scent invaded his senses and he inhaled deeply, nearly purring in delight. There were no words to describe how amazing you smelled right now, but it left him wanting to just... eat you right up.
He settled on the couch beside you, leaning forward to set the cups of tea on the coffee table, his sudden movement making you jolt in surprise as you looked up at him. He cleared his throat, offering you an apologetic smile, "Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." You shook your head and sighed, offering him a slight smile in return, "N-No, it's alright, don't worry about it, Val." Noticing the way you tried to be very subtle with your squirming, he feigned concern, frowning, "Are you alright, human? You're all red, and you don't look so good." Shaking your head, you hummed, "Nah, I'm ok... just a little warm, that's all."
To your confusion, he swiped your piece of half eaten cake from you, setting the plate beside your cup of tea before gently capturing your jaw, making you unable to turn away from him. Lifting his free hand, he delicately rested it on your forehead, as if checking to see if you'd caught a fever. With him being in such close proximity, you fought the urge to kiss him. Sure, you just met him, but in your current state, kissing him felt like something that needed to be done. He hummed, sliding his hand from your forehead to your cheek, his thumb gently stroking your skin as he met your gaze. That was what destroyed your last bit of self restraint. Without a warning, you leaned closer, pressing your lips to his teeth and kissing him. As expected, he momentarily tensed in shock, but then to your utter delight, he began to kiss you back. It wasn't long before his teeth coaxed apart your lips, allowing his cyan tongue to pass through and greet yours.
As the kiss grew more heated, you whined, fisting at his shirt and fumbling with the buttons on his vest. You'd managed to undo maybe half a dozen before he broke the kiss, letting you catch your breath. While you watched him, your eyes clouded with obvious lust, he reached out, lifting one of the cups of tea and offering it to you, his slightly hushed voice now holding a husky edge, "Drink, darling. It'll help you cool down." You whined, squirming in your seat as you caught the tone he spoke to you in, "B-But Val... please. I need you-" Grinning shamelessly at you, he chuckled, leaning closer to peck your lips, "And you can have me. Drink some of your tea first though." Though you would've liked for him to forget about the tea and take you right there on his couch, you nodded slowly, almost pouting as you accepted the drink.
Raising the cup to your lips, you took a sip, your eyebrows raising in surprise. Once again, you'd not expected the flavor of what he'd handed you. Humming in curiosity, you glanced up at Valence, "What kinda tea is this?... It's really good, Val." The skeleton watched you as you took another sip of your beverage, "Golden Flower." Blinking, a realization hit you and you raised an eyebrow, visibly interested, "Wait.... as in 'Golden Flower Tea'? The tea that Asgore supposedly loves?" He hummed in confirmation, "Exactly so. I'll say, I'm a little surprised you know about that old goat and his tea preferences." You smiled bashfully, shrugging and taking another sip, "Well... yeah. When the monsters came to the surface, I did my research. I wanted to learn what I could, y'know?"
He nodded in understanding and offered you a playful grin, "So you're a bit of a nerd then, it seems." You rolled your eyes, lips still curled into a smile as you flicked your tongue at him, "Yeah, maybe I am. Is there a problem with that, mister?" You made sure to make it clear you were only teasing, and in response, Valence laughed softly, "No, no. Of course not. For a nerd, you're actually really cute." Your cheeks immediately gained a bright blush and you squirmed in your seat, smiling sheepishly again. He watched you quietly for a moment, allowing you to continue enjoying your drink before he spoke again, still smiling slightly, "If you read about Asgore and his love of Golden Flower Tea, I wonder... did you happen to read anything about what the tea is made from?" You hummed, tilting your head and nodding, "Mhm. Isn't it made from the seeds and stems of Golden Flowers?" The skeleton nodded, arching a brow bone as his grin suddenly became mischievous, "And did you learn about what'd happen if the petals were used, too?" You paused, furrowing your brows, "Doesn't it become poisonous?..."
Something flickered in his sockets and he purred in satisfaction, "Right on, Cutie." You opened your mouth to question him but froze, pressing a hand over your mouth as you began to cough violently. You reached out, intending to place your cup on the coffee table, but both of your arms went limp, causing you to drop your cup and spill what was left of the tea on the floor. Unable to force your body to cooperate, you slouched to the slide, now leaning against Val. He sighed, feigning a look of concern again as he tsked, reaching into the breast pocket on his vest and withdrawing a handkerchief, lightly dabbing it along your mouth as he hummed, "My my, look at you... you're making quite a mess of yourself, you know." As he pulled the handkerchief away from your mouth, you glanced down, your eyes widening in fear and beginning to water up as you took notice of the red that now stained it. Unable to lift your head to even look at Valence properly, you whimpered, a tear rolling down your cheek, "W-Why, Val?... Why would you do this to me?..."
The skeleton hummed, merely smiling at you, "Because I'm a little overdue on paying my debt to the lovely family of lake dwellers that have allowed me to live on their land." Your voice cracked, and you tried your best to force back the impending need to cough again, "Y... You're using me to pay off a debt?" In a much too cheerful tone, the skeleton monster gave you confirmation, "Pretty much, yeah. Don't take it personally though, ok? I like you. If I didn't, I would've killed you sooner, and I wouldn't have been so nice about it."
Your eyelids began to feel heavy and you croaked, "How does killing me pay off that debt?" He merely smiled, lightly cupping your face and stroking your cheek with his thumb, "They're a bunch of human eaters." Your mind replayed the look that the first skeleton you encountered had worn and a chill ran through you, "But the tea... It'll poison them too." He chuckled, lowering his voice to a murmur, "No it won't, silly. It doesn't affect monsters the way it does humans. Guess you didn't get the memo, huh?" You felt yourself break, letting out faint sobs as you tried to look away from him. Reading your expression, he sighed, "Come here, darling. Let me ease your suffering a bit." You wanted to shove him away and scream, tell him to get lost, but as the world began to fade away before you, the last thing you felt was his teeth against your lips

Could.. Could I request any snippets you'd be willing to share? Or something you want to ramble about? Mom Regalia? Nox Verse? Your new LC Seer? I'm ok physically but emotionally I'm still a little shaky; my roommate and one of my best friends was wrongfully held at gunpoint this evening and I need a bit of a distraction from the fact I could've lost him.
hgffgh Of course! I’m so sorry to hear that happened to him!
Lemme see if I have anything fluffy.... I think all I have is angst rn but I’ll check-.
... (okay I have a REALLY short bit on my Seer LC one-shot, this is literally all I have on it, I’ll check for other things in just a sec but here)
Static and fire danced just below her skin, fury stealing away the pain that usually came with stomping around shelving books. Even if she had been able to feel the pain —and she would later, she was certain—, she would have done it anyway. Because it was either useful activity or closing the shop so she could go scream into her pillow and probably make the neighbors complain about her “smoking habits” again. She took a step off the stepladder, felt her ankle turn, giving underneath her for no reason other than the fact that her joints apparently hated doing what they were supposed to and she clutched the shelves with a curse and regretted leaving her cane behind the counter. That had been a stupid move of hers to be sure.
She was so caught in her own head she didn’t hear the bell tinkle. But she did feel the soft ripple of ozone and old stones that shouldn’t have been possible in her tiny nook of a shop, and she looked up hastily, still cursing and leaning desperately against the shelves in search of the source. The man who peaked around the corner was not the one she expected —that was good, she honestly didn’t know what she’d do if That Man walked into her shop—, and for a moment the two of them stared at each other. Her half on and half off a stepping stool, clutching her bookshelves like a lifeline and in the middle of swearing like a sailor in all her four foot eight inch glory, him in his casual street clothes and what she estimated to be six feet one inch of surprise.
She finished stepping off the stepladder, tested her ankles for a moment before straightening up with a wince and letting go of the shelf, “Welcome to the Second Sight second hand bookshop and cafe. Can I help you?”
The man blinked and stayed where he was, with the shelf halfway shielding him like she might bite, “Yeah, I was looking for a book?”
Cyra bit back in instinctive sarcasm of how she might need a little more clarification than that and instead gestured at the shelves around her, “Well, you’ve come to a likely place then. Do you know the title and author or are you looking to try something new? I have everything organized by genre, then alphabetically by author.”
The man dared to step around the shelf and stop in front of her and Cyra tried not to feel annoyed with how freaking tall he was. It wasn’t his fault that Cyra had inherited all the short genes of her family at once.
...(Next up is Stand Strong! I have brought you hilarity feels and a much longer snippet)
Of course, while out in the city proper and on their way to one of the few favored plotting spots that wasn’t in the Galahdian sector —less chance of Amissa stumbling across them and putting a stop to their ideas that way—, a few of the rougher Insomnian locals identified them as Galahdian. Their scents stunk of fear and disgust as they made the warding signs that were so popular in the lower sectors of Insomnia —signs to ward off evil and unnatural things, like the Galahdians were monsters in human skin to fend off rather than just refugees missing their homes—. Nyx and Crowe, as always, played along, recoiling with low hisses and quiet gurgling snarls and flashes of their teeth —because if they thought the Galahdian sector was home to horrible monsters, the gangs would stay away and leave them alone and that was worth a little public shunning—.
Behind them, Libertus kept his reaction a little more subdued, but still made a show of flinching away and growling in the back of his throat.
Tredd went overboard, shrieking and recoiling into a catlike spring-warp combination that ended with him perched on top of a lamppost in a way that attracted far more attention than Nyx’s and Crowe’s reactions. Because Tredd. He could never do things by halves, even when they weren’t actively trying to get the attention of the Insomnian passersby so much as scare off the superstitious gangsters eyeing them with pale skin and trembling scents. The gangsters hurried away, still making the warding signs, and pedestrians shuffled away from them with fear and uneasy disgust in their scents that made Nyx growl deep in his chest at them —rude, flinging their scents around was bad enough, but they could at least try to mind their own business and not take the side of the obvious gangsters that had just left—.
As they slunk away from the scene, hissing irritably at Tredd for making that much of a scene, none of them were expecting to hear the Marshal’s voice hail them from a nearby storefront, “Kingsglaives. Is there a … problem?”
Nyx startled and Tredd yipped softly, none of them had sensed the Marshal’s presence. After spending their childhoods with Axis and Amissa, being snuck up on like that was extremely rare, and while Nyx knew the Marshal was skilled, he hadn’t thought he was … that…
Nyx could sense that he was not the only one in the group staring as he blurted in Old Galahd, “Mamaí, why are you holding his hand?”
Amissa, their wayward Mamaí, didn’t even bat an eyelash at Nyx’s squawk, just slightly raised the hand in question, dragging the Marshal’s limb up with the motion because their fingers were intertwined, “This? Stealth training. He got curious. He’s a good student too, for an arrogant prodigy Insomnian.” She added that last part in Old Galahdian with an amused twitch of her lips, as if oblivious to how Nyx’s group were staring in a sort of dawning horror. Tredd took a deep whiff of the nearby air, prowled closer to the two until the Marshal stiffened warily and Amissa chuffed scoldingly at him.
Tredd slunk back and hissed, “It’s him,” in Nyx’s ear, just low enough for him, Crowe, and Libertus to hear. Nyx kept staring in a vague sort of horror as Amissa raised an eyebrow, “Stop acting like pups,” she scoffed, “I held your hands during stealth training.”
The Marshal blinked and, to Nyx’s dawning horror, looked amused beneath his solemn mask as he muttered sidelong to Amissa, “So this is your standard training method?”
“You are a unique and special man, Leonis, but not enough to warrant special treatment from me,” Amissa retorted in a bland voice that was betrayed by the way her different colored eyes twinkled in amusement.
The corner of the Marshal’s mouth ticked up and there for just the briefest flicker, Nyx caught it. The faint scent that had begun to linger on Amissa’s clothing. It was from Cor Leonis. The Marshal of the Crownsguard, the Immortal. The one man outside their Pack and their king that Titus had ever offered his throat to, even if only in a particular vicious spar several years ago. Amissa, their Amissa, was being scented by Cor Leonis.
And the worst part was … Nyx didn’t think either of them were aware of it. Or, if the Marshal was aware and doing it intentionally, he wasn’t giving any sign of it. Not physical, not vocal, and not in the tiny wisps of scent Nyx managed to pick up before they were gone again, locked down tight in that way that had made all the Glaive appreciate working with him over the rest of the Crownsguard. Which meant, if the Marshal wasn’t doing it intentionally, then it probably wasn’t just a Pack-scenting.
Astrals above please no.
Amissa narrowed her eyes at the prolonged horrified staring and the Marshal was beginning to tense again, “What’s wrong with you four? If this is about my training non-Pack-.”
Nyx felt Libertus’s hand clamp on the back of his neck in just the right place to make his knees weaken and his angry words die on his tongue —stupid Lib, abusing Nyx’s instincts like that, at least he was doing it to Tredd too—, “Nope, that’s not a problem, Mamaí. We’re just surprised is all. This where you’ve been running off to every weekend?”
A half-blink and a slow relaxing over her shoulders as she started walking, the Marshal falling in step with her far too easily for Nyx’s brain to handle, “Pretty much.” She tilted her head, “I was thinking of starting in on group training in another week or two, if Leonis has no problem with it. Do you want to help? He’ll have better luck against you than he will against Axis.” The Marshal made a low noise of protest that just made Amissa look amused. Nyx felt like he was watching a slow train wreck as pieces began to click together. The easy touching, the oddly relaxed set to the Marshal’s shoulders now that they were moving and he wasn’t being gaped at, the sandwich the Marshal had brought in all those weeks ago —just one of many, if he remembered what the Marshal had said correctly—.
Nyx groaned, “Mamaí,” he couldn’t keep his voice from a whine, “Mamaí please don’t be doing what I think you’re doing.”
She narrowed her eyes, baffled and annoyed, and Lib slapped the back of Nyx’s head and hissed a dark, “We’ll talk later, not in front of him,” then swapped back to a language the Marshal would understand, “Sure, if the Marshal wants to, we’d be happy to help. Hunt Touch to start with? Or are we going straight to Night Raid?”
“Hunt Touch to start with,” she hummed, “no need to throw him into the deep end quite yet.”
“He,” pointed out the Marshal with a tone akin to long-suffering, “is right here and can hear everything. I’m also going to need an explanation on what those training exercises are before anyone starts off with anything.”
... (and since I’m out of snips atm I shall spiral back to a few quick Nox HCs for you, all hail the Nox/Nyx romance!)
-Nyx likes to steal Nox’s shirts. She doesn’t care that she’s actually taller than him so they don’t fit right and kinda show off her middle just a bit, she likes them and its the principle of the thing.
-Nox finds this habit of hers both extremely annoying (those are his shirts!) and extremely hot (yes, okay, he likes seeing his wife in his clothes, sue him).
-Nyx likes to nip during make-outs. Nox has never been able to figure out if its a Nyx thing, an Ulric thing, or an all-out Galahd thing but when they’re getting really into a make-out, Nyx is basically guaranteed to pull away from his lips for a few seconds to nip his jawline and gently run her teeth down his throat and it always, ALWAYS makes his brain go hgfdghgfds.
-He retaliates by twisting his fingers in her hair at the base of her head and lightly squeezing, often steering her head so he can gently kiss the pulse point of her neck, and once he experimentally nipped her back on the earlobe. He could have sworn she purred, but he was a little distracted by the sudden discovery that his wife was strong enough to pick him up and pin him against the wall.
-Nox has actually worn Nyx’s shirts by accident, because Nyx doesn’t go for girly stuff, but instead goes for black with simple designs often picked out from the men’s sections of stores and her shirts always smell really nice and like her so when Nox is operating 80% asleep (read: most mornings) there is a 50/50 chance he’ll snag one of her shirts instead of his and shuffle around in it until he wakes up enough to hear her snickering.
-Nyx likes to play with Nox’s hair. Anytime, any place. His hair is wispier and silkier than hers and she’s almost jealous, but he lets her do basically whatever she wants with it so it’s fine.
-Nox has played with her hair too, but somehow this is much more likely to devolve into a make-out session than when Nyx is playing with Nox’s hair. Neither is sure why.
-Everyone pls picture Nox having an Insecure Moment, probably not long after he realized they had accidentally married, curling up against her and gently trailing kisses up her neck before breathing in her ear, “Let me love you? Please. Please, let me love you.”
-And she knows it’s not a proposition but an honest plea and so she pulls him closer and catches his lips with hers before touching their foreheads together and whispering, “Forever. Forever and more.” I will have no one else. I want you and you don’t have to be afraid of that. I’m not going anywhere.
(Hope this helps @rayearthdudette!)

some avengers endgame Thoughts cause i saw the movie yesterday and can't stop thinking about it
of course..... spoilers ahead
nebula and tony playing!!!! i just love how nebula's personality comes through without it being ooc
also... nebula carefully sitting tony up. she Cares so much :(
steve immediately going to tony :( like im a stucky kind of gal but holy shit i love them
which was completely erased in the next scene where tony drags steve up and down and after that passes out, which is a confrontation Mood
i wonder how they made tony look so skinny and sick. if it was cgi then i applaud them cause it looked so good
the way they killed thanos so fucking quickly here... i don't know how to feel lmao. like cutting the gauntlet arm and then slicing his neck... that's what we were all screaming at them during infinity war. it's good to see them learn from their mistakes, i guess ?
(can't remember the order in which things happen from now so forgive me if i make a mistake)
i told my sister "that's one of the russos!!!!!" so it took me ten seconds to realize that the russo was the gay character everyone was talking about (i thought it would be fury for no other reason than it being shocking and fury having very little to do with the plot, but)
and steve being supportive of that :( man out of time said gay rights!
carol's new hair!! holy shit!!!!!
rocket insinuating carol has been experimenting with more hairstyles... i would like to see it
don't think i missed that carol x rhodey nod. i support it.
don't wanna say it now... for now ill just state: i love what they're doing with natasha in the movie. she truly feels like a friend to steve. like that small gesture of her sliding the plate towards steve is just so domestic and beautiful! it really makes her feel so human and complex at the end. i was so worried about her being wasted but i loved her throughout the film
it was a fucking rat who got scott out. i have to laugh.
also is that the guy from that old "gayyyyy" meme????
cassie is all grown up!!!!!! i can't even imagine how hard it had been for her
also what happened to her mom? and the stepdad??? are they fine????? i hope so
i was hoping we would get more tony as a dad in this movie and it delivered!! tony is so fucking good with kids. the bond between him and morgan was so well portrayed
also the place they live in is so cozy and that's what he deserves
when steve stepped down the car in that black outfit with the leather jacket on i gasped... he's fucking gorgeous
i kept wanting him and tony to kiss lmao tf is wrong with me
OKAY my hawkeye rights. i missed him so much
the stylish subtitles on the middle of the screen felt like too much. this isn't a tumblr gifset honey, just write them down!
thinking about the whole clintasha conversation really foreshadows the whole thing. natasha cares so deeply about clint and really puts his needs before hers. it's so beautiful to see
honestly... my clintasha rights!
i think the hulk/bruce scene was kinda endearing but then the ant man banter dragged on for toooo long
the dab i YELLED. these poor kids have to stand this man on 2023 pulling out 2016 trends to appear Hip and Cool
fat thor...... i hate how it was handled. hate it so fucking much.
new asgard! that's so cute. i hope that's on norway
miek and korg are alive!!!!
the thought of thor insulting a possibly 14 year old on fortnight is too much for me. it sounds like bad fanon talk. i still laughed (bc noobmaster69??? that's fucking hilarious)
tonys reaction to i love you 3000 is so beautiful. like the way he looks taken aback and so happy. i love irondad
steve in a white shirt and jeans!!!! i gasped again. he's delivering, the fucking model
i know they were like, barely being decent to each other again, but i still wanted my stony hug:(
when they're discussing their infinity stones memories and natasha and tony are laying down together on a table???? adorable. amazing.
also why tf didn't nebula said the soul stone required a sacrifice??? i thought that's what she got from gamora dying in volmir
as soon as natasha and clint arrived to volmir i began chanting "nonononononononono"
fuckkdjdksndk fucking nebula. cue to more nononono chanting
rhodey knocking out quill with a single hit is the funniest scene in the movie
clintasha calling on bullshit on the sacrifice thing was also quite funny
the forehead touch :((( im so weak! so sad!
clintasha literally fighting each other to be each other's sacrifice!!!! kill me now!!!!
jeez now i can finally say it: scarjo shined so fucking much on this movie!!!! her delivery was amazing, i really felt a connection between her and the avengers, it really showed her growth during the five year time jump. she fucking killed it. she did her best and she's the best black widow we could've ever gotten.
clint mourning her :((((( probably the third time i cried during the movie
thor's panic attack being used for cheap laughs was the most uncomfortable moment for me... or any scene where people only saw thor as Fat and Lazy (basically, two thirds of the movie)
the freya + thor reunion was so sweet though!
okay. okay. hear me out. tony was on a very serious mission to regain an infinity stone. and the first thing he does is check out steve's ass. and aknowledge how glorious it is. i couldn't believe what i was watching!!!!!! like that actually fucking happened. consider me a fully formed stony bitch.
and scott joining in to say it was "america's ass" ???? poetic cinema
so it's canon that everyone checks out steve's ass and appreciates it as a national treasure. that's all i never thought id needed.
steve saying "hail hydra" i YELLED. it was a nice nod to the whole "cap is a nazi" mess
and steve fighting himself... hot
using his bucky trauma to shock himself is :/// but also :((((
i loved that for one moment i knew everyone on the theatre was staring at steve's ass
and steve being appreciative of his own butt!!!! ok that's all i have to say about steve's ass
i loved the reminder that thor was still kinda goofy back in avengers 1, for everyone who says taika completely changed his character. and the little tony + thor moment was adorable
"howard..... potts" i can understand tony being a mess but how did howard not suspect of anything??? elevator lady took one look of steve's face and all of her alarms started ringing
peggy carter... ive missed my wife so much
did peggy marry souza. i hope she did. steve tf are you doing staring at a married woman (jk)
clint kicking the stones away as soon as bruce is done with the snap is the biggest mood
also... the hell was scott looking at that made him think it had worked? just... more birds outside? i was really curious
the irony of the only avenger without superpowers being left with the stones
"i know you" *hands out stones* how can you not love clint, he's so pure
nebula killing his 2014 self is a power move. that would be me if i met my 2014 self
thor with a braided beard!!!!! beautiful
thanos is like, a real threat and i love that
okay. i kinda saw it coming. i saw thor leave mjolnir behind and i thought "oh????". and then the shock of thanos being able to wield stormbreaker. and then fucking mjolnir moving!!!!! i was the only person in the theatre who yelled
but seriously!!!! steve wielding AND fighting with mjolnir!!!!! couldn't stop thinking about it all day!!!!!!!!! STEVE IS WORTHY!!!!!!!
parallels to thor going for the chest. it never works babies!
and just.... this was steve's moment. steve i-can-do-this-all-day rogers really fighting with every ounce of his body and soul against the most powerful being on earth. justice for him getting knocked after touching thanos for one second in iw!
and steve getting up again! all dirty and wounded!! trembling with exhaustuation and resolution!!! with his broken shield on his arm!!!! just him facing the biggest army of the universe!!!!! so powerful
sorry to destroy this epic moment, but like, okay. people had been reintegrated to life like, twenty minutes before. and i understand that they were all confused and out of place. but sam really needed ALL that time to just... try to communicate with steve????? ok
the "avengers..." *brings mjolnir with one hand while bracing his shield with the other* "assemble" moment was... oh my God. chills all over my body.
that One Moment where steve has stormbreaker on his hand... so fucking hot
the tony and peter reunion holy shit. the hug was everything i needed! like please just hug tony stark for ages
and tony and pepper fighting together!!! that's a power couple right there
i felt it when quill looked at gamora and just... stopped. im so sad his moment was played for laughs when it was obviously such an important moment for his character
thanos was so fucking scared of wanda that he put his own troops at risk to stop her for a little while. strongest avenger right there!
and carol coming back!!!! i was like
i felt so relieved at that point. i was like "yeah thanos is fucking over what's next"
no need to talk about all the women coming together to defend peter :')
thanos getting the gauntlet again... the nonono chanting came back
fucking CAROL trying to stop him. looking at him with such a determined face, like "you can't stop me from stopping you". it was so powerful he had to snatch one stone to stop her
and strange giving him the one finger to tony.... i knew what was coming holy shit. i knew it. they knew it.
tony really proved himself there. it was his best scene on the entire mcu, don't argue with me!!!!!! the way he stood there and took all the power of the stones, unmasked, unaffected, powerful and almighty
"i am... iron man" cue to ugly sobbing
tony knew there was no other way. pepper did, too... she knew exactly what she had to tell him. she was right. tony spent all of these years moved by selfishness first, then fear, then guilt. an endless battle since thanos was on his head. but the war was over. what mattered was that he saved everyone, and he sacrificed himself for everyone. a complete 180° from last movie's ending.... wow
gotta said... peter there felt a little bit out of place for me. i think it would've been more powerful if he didn't say anything, though peter is a teenager, i can get it
his arc with steve felt unfinished, too. i would've liked to see steve's reaction as well, since tony had told him he wanted everyone back and also for his family so survive. but whatever
im not against tony killing thanos instead of gamora and nebula but i would've liked if we saw them react to his death, at least:/ like a little parallel between nebula's reaction at the beginning and the end of endgame
the One stucky interaction here was pulled from cap1 and iw. i feel betrayed
bucky Knew what steve was going to do. i wonder if steve told him before or bucky just sensed it
you can't convince me steve would go back and carelessly dance with peggy knowing his friend is being used like a weapon by hydra and bound to kill tonys parents. nah nah. it all felt wrong
my steggy rights!!!
love that the russos foreshadowed cap!bucky on tws just to give the shield to sam at the end
anyways what the fuck bucky was all steve had but he lived the happiest life without it and left him alone on the 21st century? okay fuck y'all
#long post#avengers endgame#endgame spoilers#avengers spoilers#avengers endgame spoilers#a4 spoilers#mine#marvel#this is.... so long and idk how to add a read more on mobile#but enjoy my thoughts i guess

the rock elements with the old school hip hop, JHOOPPPPEEEE🔥
some tweets that i wanna keep
notice how everytime Hoseok wants to “shout” in the chorus it’s suppressed because that’s how he feels. That’s why he’s jack in the box. Because all of these feelings and emotions and wants are held inside the box.
so in Japanese, KitKat sounds like “kitto katsu”, which means “you are sure to succeed” or more literally translated as “surely win” the lyrical genius you are jung hoseok
in this part the eng says i’m in my element but he acc says “i’m a fish in water” and it’s pretty much the same but when you take into account how his previous lines were “yeah i’m thirsty i need to be surfing on the beat” the water metaphors just all tie it together so well
that scene where hobi is observing himself as an outsider getting diagnosed and it pans to his x-ray and his radiograph, his very CORE also starts talking about how he is drunk on artistic recklessness...jung hoseok the creative genius you are
"more" about the greed of wanting more, to create more, to let the world hear you. the thirst that is never ending and working till becoming one with art isn't out of pure love but of hunger to have it all.
the "eenie, meenie, miney, moe" originate from ancient celtic rituals of sorting out who would be chosen to d*e as sacrifice. In this theory, the words come from the celtic countdown, “one, two, three, four.” thus the line, "dancin' baby flows" is him k*lling his 'baby flow' and moving on cuz he's got passion and he's gotta go since he's not satisfied yet. nobody could've used this rhyme just like this except for hoseok. his lyricism are always so well researched and greatly executed.
Jack isn’t evil. The man he trips is the boss of tired workers who are crushed by the weight of his expectations! Jack makes the boss look like a fool, he is the jester mocking the king, he is our dissatisfaction at the status quo, he is our rage against the machine. Also I can’t get over the scene at the end which he stares into the world within the box, the world where he trips the boss, creating a rebellion. It represents how he has a different perspective that no one else has, he can see whole picture, and sees the world for what it is. The perspective of the Jester is the same, an outsider. They were in the court but not respected. As the lowest member of the court, undoubtedly, Jesters would see everything that happened, but the difference was they could criticize the King as long as it was entertaining. He can be privy to secrets, he can mock the King, he can criticize the world, but if he does any of it, he better be entertaining, or else. That’s how a Jester rebels, that’s how a Jester overthrows a King. Through song and dance and sounds of laughter.
#damn the song hits hard#jack in the box#hoseok#its been on repeat and i cant get over it#and the videooooooo#omggggg#Spotify
