Kamiyama High Festival, Episodes 6 & 7
Feeling hurt from the two students from earlier, Mizuki retreats to the rooftop, an old habit. There she sees Rui. Their middle school days were defined by these lonely impromptu hangouts. Rui knew Mizuki before she became Mizuki, and he had been the one to help her back then.
We learn that the context of the flashback to Mizuki and Rui with Mizuki in the boys uniform, is that it's the first time the two had met.
Their first introduction is very worth delving into. Rui introduces himself and asks Mizuki's name. She refuses to give it, but Rui already knew it. He says the reason he asked anyway was to hear what Mizuki would say. Under the reading that Mizuki is a closetted trans girl, this interaction makes perfect sense; Rui picked up on Mizuki's self-loathing and wanted to be considerate and kind to a fellow loner. It was an invitation for Mizuki to give him her real name [Mizuki].
Likewise, the metacontext is that Colorful Palette wants to be kind and considerate to people like Mizuki; they're telling her story in a sincere way. The first and easiest way they do this, made even easier by Japanese grammar, is to not refer to her with a masculine pronoun. Japanese allows the omission of a pronoun if it's clear from context, which combines well with the depth that can be conveyed with [name]-honorific, as well as simply using either the first or the last name. Akito, for instance, who's heard the rumors about Mizuki, exclusively calls her Akiyama in this event story.
It's a little harder to do this in English, which requires a subject for its sentences, and only really offers the use of first name or a pronoun. In English, students who know Mizuki's secret, at worst, refer to her in the text of the game with 'they'. The dialogue of N25 members, at least from what I've seen, is careful to only use 'Mizuki' or some other wording to refer to Mizuki. (as a trans woman, I'm very sensitive to when 'they' is used for us) They don't know her secret after all, and would otherwise use 'she'.
A more difficult way than pronoun usage, for the team to be respectful of Mizuki and players who they want to reach out to with her story, is to not deadname her. If they ever gave a birth name for her, it could be used by hurtful fans as a more correct way to refer to her, doing only harm. Rui and Mizuki's introduction is meant to be read as Rui asking for a different name from Mizuki. She refuses to give any name. This would otherwise signal the conversation as being over, so Rui skips the introduction for her, saying he already knows her name.
Is this all enough evidence to support that 'Mizuki' when used in flashbacks of her in a boys uniform is a way to respectfully censor out her deadname? Maybe, but there is one more piece of evidence, in the next episode. Episode 7 opens with a timeskipped flashback. Mizuki and Rui have been having their loner hangouts on the school roof for a while now.
It's not something I can capture in a screenshot, but Rui refers to Mizuki in this line with "Mizuki-kun". This is clearly still Mizuki before she transitioned, and she's still just as icy and bitter in the way that she talks as she'd been in Episode 6. But more than that, [I checked and] Mizuki is an unambiguously feminine name. It means 'hope', and the only suggested spelling for it is with the kanji that Mizuki's name officially uses. Conversely, -kun is typically reserved for a male addressee. While Rui also uses -kun for Emu and other members of the cast younger than him as part of how he talks, he no longer uses -kun for Mizuki. At the end of Episode 5 and all throughout Episodes 6 and 7, Rui in the present uses just Mizuki to address her, which acts to respect her in the same way friends avoid using 'dude' or 'guys' when addressing a trans girl. Rui using -kun in the flashback may reflect that the name in-universe it's spoken with was not actually 'Mizuki' and that we the players read it as 'Mizuki' as part of the writers respecting her character.
This is the Mizuki who Mizuki talks about when she tells people about how she used to feel confined by people's expectations, always wondering how much she should change herself not to inconvenience those around her. That Mizuki can't understand why Rui refuses to act more normal and try to fit in, even as herself doing so is the source of her own misery.
Rui's response is there are many things that are very much worth finding in solidude. Among them, Mizuki herself, with the silent hope that Rui is also that for Mizuki.
Mizuki understanding that getting rejected by the other people around her isn't the end of the world, and that she can still find meaning even if she does so alone, is the first step toward the person she'll become, of somebody who does things her way and is so much happier for it.

vivid street is like. THE most trans supportive place around. because of that, an (who is a trans girl to me) got her Transgender Realization really early on (her looking up to nagi so much certainly contributed too) meanwhile akito (trans guy) got his egg cracked quite early thanks to it, too. that, and social media, helped with cracking ena's (trans girl) egg too
kohane (trans girl) had no way of having vivid street help with cracking her egg, and toya (trans guy) realizing he was trans was assisted by the tenma siblings (who are also trans, tsukasa trans guy and saki trans girl) before he discovered it, but akito definitely wouldn't have his egg cracked if not for vivid street
also nagi was a trans woman send post

Fruits Basket Queer Headcanons
The more I watch and read Fruits Basket, the more I get the sense that no one is straight here. Well... almost no one. So, in honor of pride month, here are my queer headcanons for the cast of Fruits Basket!
(Disclaimer that these are my own personal headcanons, obviously nothing official, etc... I try to draw on evidence from the text, but I'll admit I'm occasionally going purely off vibe. Also, I'm bi and genderfluid, so that's the lens I'm bringing to this. I'd love to hear your headcanons, especially if they differ from mine! Enjoy!)
Genderfluid and/or genderqueer: Ayame and Ritsu
I (probably somewhat controversially) think a lot of the gender non-conformity among Fruits Basket characters is just that: gender non-conformity. Momiji is one example; he dresses in girls' clothing (though not "like a girl") until his growth spurt, but it seems important to him to be seen as a man from at least that point forward.
Ritsu is someone whose gender identity and/or nonconformity really should've been explored more in the manga - as written, it feels like Ritsu's exploration of gender was viewed as something he'd grow out of, rather than a search for understanding himself. He doesn't really seem to mind being identified as either male or female, though he obviously feels a lot of shame about his comfort with wearing women's clothes (though no one around him when we meet him really seems to mind, which is nice-- I also appreciate that Ritsu was shown to have friends who adore him outside of the Sohmas). Anyway, the fact that he seems okay with being referred to as both a man and a woman is the entire basis for this headcanon.
Ritsu also idolizes Ayame, and I think part of this stems from Ayame's own security in his non-traditional gender presentation. We don't really get a lot of Ayame's thoughts on gender, despite his line of work, but he strikes me as the sort of person who would enjoy playing with his own gender presentation and would be more than open to exploring his gender identity (and probably has!). I think Ayame would lean more toward having an expansive view of masculinity rather than dressing more feminine when he feels more feminine, but I also think he would embrace the different ways people might perceive his gender.
Transgender Woman: Akito Sohma
This I think is quite clear in canon. Akito was assigned male at birth, then transitioned to female.
What makes it hard for some people to see Akito as trans is that the reason she was assigned male at birth was not the typical reason people are assigned male at birth in our world (it was her mother's demand, rather than a guess based on the shape of her genitals), but I don't think that makes her any less trans.
Under the Ace and/or Aro Umbrellas
This umbrella is a little tricky for several of these characters, because they've been forbidden from dating, or had very controlling parents, or thought they'd only hurt anyone they loved, so they haven't necessarily had time to figure out whether they've just repressed that part of themselves or they just don't experience attraction at all/without a strong emotional connection first. (Not everyone needs time to figure that out, though!) But anyway, here's who I think would eventually find themselves under at least one of these umbrellas!
Asexual/Aromantic: Kazuma
I love the tidbit that Kazuma tried dating women, but talked so much about Kyo that he never got a second date. I like the interpretation of him as a gay man, but to me, he reads as asexual/aromantic. Dating just doesn't even seem to be on his radar!
Demisexual/Demiromantic: Kyo, Shigure, Machi
A lot of the fandom sees Kyo as demi, and I'm totally here for that interpretation of him. He generally seems annoyed by or frightened of girls who aren't Tohru (frightened either when there's a risk of transforming, or when Kagura is involved). Also, it's CUTE that Kyo takes after his dad (Kazuma) in this way.
At first blush, it seems very unlikely Shigure is under the ace umbrella, but I couldn't stop thinking about his brief relationship with Mayu. He's the one who suggested they date, yet he seemed completely disinterested in her. He did sleep with Ren, but that was only for revenge and because he imagined Akito would look like her if she'd been allowed to grow up as a woman. I genuinely believe all his "high school girls" ickiness was an act, much like most of his personality.
It doesn't seem like Machi can totally tell if/when she likes something (or someone!). This makes me wonder if she's just never had feelings for anyone before Yuki.
Demiromantic: Rin, Hiro
Rin seems open to sexual relations with people other than Haru, but I genuinely can't see her having romantic feelings for anyone other than him. I see Hiro similarly with respect to Kisa. I think, if they ever split, it would take an extremely long time for him to even be open to falling for someone else.
Under the Bi/Pan+ Umbrella
So, I'm not making a distinction between these two (and other orientations that fall under the same umbrella, like poly- or omnisexual) because that seems like a very personal, internal conversation. I know some people make a distinction between the way bi and pan people experience attraction, but some don't, and that feels too prescriptivist for my purposes here. So, these are characters who I think experience attraction to multiple genders!
Tohru obviously falls for Kyo, but she also thinks Akito is cute, she thinks Rin is "shapely" and "beautiful" (her words!), and she goes along with it when Saki talks about them getting married.
Yuki ends up with Machi (and I love them together!) but I think Kyo was his first crush. His arc is also very relatable for a lot of queer folks (myself included!). And he's a disaster. Long live bisexual disaster Yuki Sohma!
Shigure is tricky, because the flirtation between him and Ayame could just be a joke, but I personally think it's a joke that arose out of some fun nights spent together...
Akito obviously likes men, but she also flirts with Tohru when they first meet.
Saki talks about marrying both Tohru and Kazuma. She's probably joking about Kazuma, but she's generally a very literal person, so I don't think she's joking about Tohru. She also marries a foreigner canonically, and that foreigner is probably a man.
Momiji talks about finding an amazing sweetheart-- not an amazing wife or girlfriend!!-- one day. I think he was being very intentional in not specifying his future partner's gender.
Hatori is the one I feel least sure of, but my headcanon is that he gets so annoyed and embarrassed by Shigure and Ayame because he doesn't want anyone to know he was totally part of at least a few of those trysts...
Mutsuki and Hajime are definitely together, right? And it seems like the fandom mostly sees Mutsuki as bi, which... yeah, that tracks.
Hatsuharu's first love was Yuki, and his last love was Rin.
Kakeru has a girlfriend, but for some reason, I have it in my head that he always refers to Kyo as Yuki's "hot cousin"? Did I just imagine that? Anyway... even if I did make that up, I think his backstory is a great analogy for the experience of coming out. He was trying to fit in a box and decided he was done with it. Pure chaotic bi energy.
For Ayame, see Shigure and Hatori above. (Also, “I am a bottom ALL THE WAY!!!”)
Mine is admittedly here just based on vibes.
Mitsuru likes Ritsu even though she's not entirely sure of Ritsu's gender!
Kimi is also here purely based on vibes.
Gay and Lesbian
Hiroshi has always struck me as gay. I can't really explain it. I usually have absolutely awful gaydar, so it's odd that he gives me such clear gay vibes. I wrote him as gay in my longfic, Bloom Within Us, and I'll probably always write him as gay.
President Takei obviously has a crush on Yuki. We don't really see him show interest in anyone else (partially because he's such a minor character). He also seems to still be a bachelor in Another, which could be because he can't legally marry yet...
My headcanon that Kunimitsu is gay kind of popped up as I was writing Bloom Within Us. There's no particular reason, and he doesn't give me strong gay vibes or anything.
Hajime and Mutsuki are definitely a couple! (Right?!) And it seems like most of the fandom sees Hajime as gay which... yeah, I can get behind that.
Akimoto (Arisa's senpai from her gang) is another character who gives me such strong vibes that I thought it was canon that she was a lesbian. Whoops. Anyway, I headcanon that Akimoto is gay, and referenced that in one of my oneshots.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Controversial omission: Arisa Uotani. She says she likes Kureno because he reminds her of Tohru, but she doesn't like Tohru? Yes, she gives me major queer vibes but this to me points to her being straight. Also, based on the way she reacts to her friends developing crushes or falling in love (and the way they react to her falling in love), I don't think there's anything between her and Saki or her and Tohru (as much as I love fics that pair her with Saki!). I also think not every relationship with lots of physical affection and strong feelings of love has to be romantic.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed reading my queer headcanons! This has been in my drafts for months, so I'm really glad Pride Month gave me a reason to finish this post!
Happy Pride!

Hiii @wederyed asked for my hcs so I'm going to annoy y'all with them<3
Tsukasa: the bigender in the world. She/he pronouns user
Emu: she/her enby emu anyone? She's very Androgynous to me. Her gender is "wonderhoy"
Nene: she/they girlie. Transfem, but she doesn't really like the idea of having Boobs.
Rui: Genderfluid Rui my beloved. I think she's genderfluid in the way that she has a different set of pronouns depending on the day instead of all/any all the time (but that's just me)
Mafuyu: GENDER APATHETIC AS FUCK. she's handsome, he's gorgeous, they're pretty. Really just does not care. Neo pronoun user.
Mizuki: hmm. Transfem? They/them. I would say that they like fem terms, but y'know...canon...
Ena: probably she/he/they but she's too busy doing art so she doesn't notice
Kanade: sopping wet cat ever. She/they. Probably non-binary but like I said she's too busy trying to save mafuyu
Saki: Shes so Girl. Girlflux to me. She/star
Shiho: He/she user, she's transfem. A butch, I think is the term??
Ichika: Look at me and tell me this is not a demigirl. She/they/he methinks
Honami: Trans girl. She/her I'm sorry she's just. So. Trans girl to me
Akito: gender apathetic he/him user. He gets a bit fucky wucky with gender sometimes
Toya: gender apathetic but he is open to anything and everything. Experiments with pronouns sometimes
An: Butch. He/they/she.
Kohane: umm... Hamster... gender....? She/hamu I guess?
Airi: Trans girl ever. Do you remember her fes card. She/her
Shizuku: ALSO trans girl but Different. She/they. Also gnc. She'll rock a suit sometimes
Minori: very hot take but he/she/they user?? Gender.
Haruka: so she's not a woman but also he's not a man. They're not enby either. She's just a butch. As a gender. that's haruka to me. Also she/he/they
Okay yeah thats it :3

I'm playing Persona 4 rn because i've never played a persona game before and it was the remaster that was cheapest at the time, and I'm enjoying the gameplay a lot but the story is kind of a mess. (I KNOW this is not a video game blog but I don't really long post on main and I'll get to manga just trust me)
In particular Naoto got me thinking about a certain trope, the 'masculine cis woman who 'reconnects' with femininity'. Ignoring a trans reading of Naoto (not the topic I want to discuss rn but it is VERY obvious and evident and I think more believable tbh) and taking the series at it's word that Naoto is a young woman struggling with (internalized?) misogyny who can't imagine a woman being allowed the role she wishes to take on, literally what does the story offer her to incentivize being a woman again?? All the characters are like 'you should just be a girl ^_^' but then immediately start implying that she's obviously weak, that her fear during *kidnapping* was due to her sex, sexualizing her despite her obvious discomfort, expressing disgust at the thought of men being feminine (I don't even want to get into kanji...) etc etc. Like she's right!!! Apparently you people don't respect girls. Why would she stop trying to pass as a boy? And this is a very common failure of these sorts of stories. I'm reading ouran rn where it's played more for comedy and the boys' sexism is often the butt of the joke, but there is a similar problem.
Pretty much the only version of this trope I've seen *work* is in Ooku, with Chie. Partially it's because Chie's 'masculinization' was very clearly forced by outside parties, but I've seen that before where the 'reconnecting' still didn't work (*cough* Akito *cough*). The largest element is really Arikoto's treatment of her. Chie thinks being a woman is a humiliating thing and there's no reason she wouldn't! She also thinks that she's *failed* as a woman, by being raped, by being (potentially) infertile, by having a child that died etc. She gives the men that are brought to her female names, she orders them to dress as women, because she thinks it will humiliate them and generally it does! But Arikoto (man designed in a lab) knows better. He takes it seriously. He takes femininity seriously, and he's not ashamed. That's what makes her break down. She knows this is someone who won't think less of her for being feminine. And it also coincides with a simultaneous *cultural* shift in the role of women. She keeps dressing in men's clothing in public *until* the lords start openly naming daughters as heirs. You can't just shame and harass someone into being okay with being a woman. You have to offer them *something*. Ooku isn't great with gender non-conforming characters, that's an area I wish it had explored more, but I do really appreciate this aspect for what it is.

do ya have specifc gender headcanons for prsk characters?
Hmm yes but I don't feel too strongly about a lot of em n don't really think about them a lot. But I definitely do !
Strong (actively influence how I view the character , the pronouns I use for them , etc . In my mind , this is how they are and I consider it basically canon) : Transmasc genderqueer Mafuyu who uses any pronouns (also I have this xenogender in my hoard that's like,, you copy the behaviors of fem-aligned people to be more fem-aligned in gender ?? or something like that ??? that too .) , queer genderfluid Rui who mainly uses all pronouns but sometimes his preference changes , librafeminine Ena who doesn't care about pronouns , transfem Mizuki (I don't feel they're a binary woman, to me they feel more non-binary with a femme presentation or some kind of sorta-fem sorta-nb gender, but they are 100% transfeminine. I just don't know how to describe the other gender stuff they have going on.)
Yeah I like these (I can see these and think of them occasionally. I'll sometimes mention em but they mostly live in the back of my brain and make me go "huh! yeah!" seeing people agree) : Transfem Shizuku (both tfem bigender but aaaalso just as a binary transwoman) , transfem Tsukasa , transfem Airi, trans man Akito , genderqueer Haruka , transfem Toya , genderqueer An
These are fun but I don't think about them a lot (what it says on the tin) : Agender Kanade , bigender Shiho , librafeminine Minori , librafluid Kohane , transmasc non-binary Ichika , questioning Saki (she isn't cis . but girl I cannot figure out What she is . bear w me here)
Oh bonus category for xenogenders : Ichika using music, space and vocaloid related ones as well as songic genders. Saki using star and music themed ones. Minori and ones with a clover, idol or song theme as well as a few songic too maybeee? Haruka with ones related to penguins n maybe blue In General. Tsukasa with star-themed ones. Emu with like Most soft , sweet , sugary , funky vibe genders. Rui with Fuck All (aka whatever the mess of My hoard is because hashtag projecting). Nene with robot and game themed ones. Ena with ones that relate to art, cuteness, etc. Mizuki with pink and/or ribbon themed genders. Is this a lot and is it vague Yes but there's so many that exist so idk giving off the vibes and recurring themes seems like Good Enough.
Token cis (sorry y'all /j) : Honami I just can't think of anything for her either she's some kind of Honami Is Honami non-binary that I can't quite describe or she's a cisgirl to me. She isn't hetero though nobody here is cis AND hetero c'mon this is COLORFUL stage. Oh also Emu despite having a lot of xenogender swag I feel would still identify a lot with being a girl n I hc her as cis. But also she has the most xenogender swag I've ever seen in a character so. She's like girl+ . Does that make sense. Girl++ Extra Content DLC 🍬🩷🍭🍨🍫🎈✨🍪🧸

Hello mx sun. So basically the kiyoteru lore is kiyoteru's backstory.
He is a grade 3 math teacher, who is also in a rock band. To my knowledge, he is the only vocaloid who is canonically catholic. He was adopted by a priest, hiyama kiyoshi (named after his voice provider). He plays the melodica. He has never felt the touch of a woman. He is weak to peer pressure. He has a shoe size.
In grade 3, he met his life-long best friend, hiyama akito (different kanji for hiyama). Akito has a father, a mother, an older sister, and a younger brother (all of whom have names). His parents are green grocers.
In elementary, he befriended the school janitor, and was given the janitor's old guitar when he graduated. The janitor used to be a famous guitarist. In high school, akito and kiyoteru started their band, ice mountain, with akito on guitar and kiyoteru on vocals. In college, they (separately) met hokaze natsuki.
Natsuki is trans, constantly misgendered, and mad about it. He has a father, a mother, a grandmother, and an older sister (all of whom have names). I'm serious his whole backstory is that he's trans and developed anger issues because he kept being teased. Eventually he started baking.
Natsuki met akito when akito (thinking he was a girl) tried to ask him out, and got traumatized for it (gah dam natsuki what did you do). Natsuki met kiyoteru in class, and kiyoteru recruited him for the band. Natsuki was deeply charmed by this nerdy math boy and agreed, until he learned that akito was in the band. Akito peer pressured him into keeping his promise to kiyoteru, and that's how natsuki became ice mountain's drummer.
Then akito's father got sick, so he started running the family business, and there were no band adventures.
Eventually, akito figured out his new work-life balance, natsuki opened his bakery, kiyoteru started teaching, and they restarted the band. Kiyoteru brought in two of his coworkers, azuchi tohma on bass, and amane haruto on keyboard.
Tohma, I'm sad to say, seems to have a complex with his cousin, who inspired him to play bass. He is kiyoteru's work bestie, and teaches science. Lots of people think of him as an unhygienic slacker guy, but he's not really a slacker. But like, it's a white shirt don't tell me you expect it to stay clean forever. That's the guy he is.
He was a rebellious kid, but then his cousin inspired him to be better, and then she started teaching him to play bass. He became a teacher because she told him he'd make a good teacher, but on the day he started his job, she told him she was getting married, and then he stopped playing bass. Until kiyoteru came into his life.
And yes, his parents and cousin all have names.
Haruto is blond, and both his parents are japanese. They took DNA tests, and they are 100% his biological parents, which I 100% do not believe. He also has a grandfather and a little sister (all four have names. I cannot begin to emphasize the amount of detail that went into this).
Haruto is a child prodigy who studied in America, but he still ended up teaching music to elementary students. His family is really rich too. He has a crush on natsuki. He can "perceive a person's true nature," but was intrigued by kiyoteru because he wasn't able to perceive his true nature??????? So what the hell is going on with kiyoteru?????????? Haruto's sister tried to tell kiyoteru's fortune once, but then her face turned pale and she stopped??????????
So yeah that's the extent of the detail put into kiyoteru's characterization. They gave backstories to his bandmates. It's insane. I am writing this completely from memory, because I often find myself going to the ice mountain page on the vocaloid wiki, thinking "can my tiny headcanon get confirmed or denied by the ice mountain backstory?" and without fail, it can.
And like. What the hell is the deal with kiyoteru??????? What's up with haruto and haruto's sister????????? Why did kiyoteru need to be catholic???????????? (I know in my heart the answer to that last one. It was because he's gay)
JESUS FUCK???? HOLY SHIT???? HOLY FUCKING SHIT???? GOOD LORD KIYOTERU OH MY GOD???? HELLO????
ABSOLUTE FUCKING ROLLERCOASTER THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TELLING ME

To make it easy for dex, when Nene is just living their normal life (say i send an ask), it'll be (@spider-kusanagi; normal) and if not (@spider-kusanagi; spidey) Animatronic diners don't exist, like Miles doesn't have comic con SEKAI doesn't show Nene's feelings correct, otherwise they'd be exposed They're refered to as the Ghost-Spider or just The Spider

me with pretty much 0 gender headcanons watching the gender polls with soda and popcorn:
it's dangerous to go alone (without gender headcanons)... take this...!!!! (yes i am about to talk about my gender headcanons for every single character. and even rant about certain ones which are marked with asterisks, especially the tenma siblings. spoiler alert everyone is trans. they're all below the cut bc i get too silly :3)
miku is a trans girl, uses she/they
the kagamines are both trans. rin is a trans girl (she/her), len is a trans boy (he/him)*
luka is a trans woman (she/her)
meiko is a trans woman (she/her)
kaito is a trans man (he/him) (EVEN KAITO ISN'T IMMUNE TO THE TRANSIFICATION OF PROJECT SEKAI)
ichika is transfem demigirl stargender (she/star) (although i don't have any other xenogender hcs i'm sorryyyy.,..)
saki is a trans girl (she/they)**
honami is a trans girl (she/her)
shiho is bigender (i think maybe??? i haven't decided on one particular hc for shiho. :3 idk sbibo has all of the gender) (she/he)
all of mmj are trans girls who use she/her
kohane is a trans girl (she/they)
an is a trans girl (she/her)***
akito is a trans boy (he/him)****
toya is a trans boy (he/they/she)**
tsukasa is a trans boy (he/star)**
emu is a trans girl (she/sunny/🌈) (you can't tell me she doesn't use xenopronouns!!)
nene is a trans girl (she/they)
rui is a trans boy (he/they)*****
kanade is non binary (she/they)
mafuyu is bigender (any pronouns)
ena is a trans girl (she/they)****
mizuki is a trans girl (obviously) (they/them)*****
* the kagamines swapped names and clothes and just. everything. like they kinda just swapped places one day and nobody noticed lmao
** tsukasa and saki also gave each other their old clothes when they were kids!! they both discovered they were trans at a young age, and they helped toya with his own realization!! also toya is gender nonconforming as well (sometimes they crossdress and she's okay with she/her, as long as you don't exclusively use she/her for him then it's all good) so tsukasa gave some of his old clothes to them as well.,. also if someone is transphobic towards saki or toya, it will not end well for them. kasa will not show any mercy /silly but if the transphobia is directed towards star, he doesn't really care as much because at least it's not his siblings (both of whom will be pissed in their brother's place) star cares about his little siblings so much!!!! <3 hghhhg i love tsukasa sm star's so selfless......
*** nagi was also a trans woman, and with an looking up to her like she does, yeah this egg was going to crack real quick wasn't she
**** more characters who gave each other their old clothes. you can pry these from my cold dead hands. sometimes ena jokes that it's like akito is always on his period and he's like "i swear to fucking god shut the fuck up" (it's all in good fun, usual shinonome stuff)
***** i think you know what i'm about to say. they gave each other their old clothes again, i will not change my mind. mizuki helped rui discover that he was trans as well!! their classmates are transphobic assholes but at least someone can understand them and has to deal with similar classmates... rui helped teach mizuki how to do makeup (it's like something to thank them for helping them and being there for him) and also, not relevant but i need to spread the agenda, t4t qpr mizurui
that's all i'm doing for now i'm tired

uhh im sleepy but. akito knew he was trans longest, akito cracks kohane’s egg and they bond over shared experiences and whatnot, an is kinda obsessed with them for Totally Cis reasons (akito is admirably dedicated! khn is her singing partner!)
anyways yeah an is egg for a while i think. angg. agg. also gets called a masc name during sex, enjoys it. goes “huh” and dismisses it as another weird kink. actually maybe “she” worries about fetishizing her partners or smth oh honey. child.
akito can’t take the prime directive shit and confronts an with Evidence like “you’re really gonna do x and say x and claim you identify as a woman??? be honest with urself here”
idk
-🌟❄️
YEAJHHHH im a sucker for tmasc koha in general but with his two equally as trans bfs wowie...

... The fandom as a whole do NOT focus on the "masc" characters being tfem (the canon guys is what you mean instead of masc i think) more than they focus on Mizuki.
Plus, Transfem Airi is a big headcanon too, more than tfem Akito, Tsukasa or Touya (Rui could be bigger, but Rui is just hc'ed as trans as a whole), because its an old headcanon, which most everyone likes.
And most people who post transfem of the canon guys also post transfem of other characters.
So what's the point here? Im all for combating misogyny but be fr. Viewing a canon male character as a woman isn't it.
i think the world needs more transfem hc’s since they’re good for the soul but focusing only on the masc characters for them instead of the other 20 women characters, including the actually canon transfem character, is kinda odd
#ffs i want to see no follower of mine attacking anyone here#but ive been seeing posts abt this the past hours and just being very confused here

why does everyone want ritsu to be the sole trans rep in furuba anyway like i can think of ten more interesting and less controversial trans furuba hcs off the cuff
#it me#1) trans woman akito; born and raised as a man; hates women out of spite; finds herself inexplicably drawn to them anyway (also a lesbian)#2) trans man naohito; very insecure about the fact that he's shorter than most of his peers and hopes hrt kicks in with a height boost soon#3) nonbinary mayuko; knows theyre not a man but cannot connect to womanhood either; possibly also a lesbian#4) trans woman mine; she doesnt experience a lot of dysphoria tho and delights in pegging the shit out of ayame#5) trans women yuusuke and hiroshi; in college they realize the reason they loved women so much was bc they were women#6) trans man machi; after playing the part of the perfect daughter for so long he starts to explore his identity finally and--#--realizes that masulinity just sits better with him#7) trans woman hanajima; her relationship with femininity is just another reason her old classmates hated and bullied her#8) genderfluid uotani; their half-hearted attraction to men is really more of a sense of kinship than anything (also a lesbian)#9) nonbinary kakeru; they like keeping people on their toes and traditional masculinity seems like a load of bullshit anyway#and finally a fun one:#10) gay man kimi (exclusively she/her) who uses drag because it's freeing; only breaks character in front of people she really trusts
