Since Halloween is so recent, what would your take be on Halloween olba (poly?) boys be? Cove ofc doesn't handle horror movies well, but what of other boys? Their costume ideas? How they'd act in a haunted house kind of attraction? Who accidentally catches hand of chasing them spooky actor instead of MC and realizes only after barricading themselves with them???

I have uhhh neglected my inbox for lack of creativity and I APOLOGIZE but Halloween is the best holiday and it's fine to talk about all the time so this is fine totally fine.

-- I think Derek would have fun with horror movies! Like I think he'd be all "HELL YEAH LOOK AT THEM GUTS," just having a blast. And then Baxter I feel like would genuinely like horrors that lean more towards being thrillers, like the less gorey, more thoughtful ones? But he'd also have fun making fun of cheesy ones.

-- I also HC that Baxter, when among people he's comfortable with, cannot shut up during a movie to save his life, for what it's worth, so really he and Derek make watching horror movies fun for the whole poly gang. If MC has a sincere issue with them of course no one would push it, but like Cove could have fun just hanging out with the lovies because it'll just be fun, you know?

-- Baxter makes Cove good snacks and Derek sits beside him so he can cover his eyes during the really scary parts, and he's only half being silly about it.

-- It's been a while since we've done poly, but as always, Baxter sews! So if there's some kind of party or event, he's not going to let everybody out in just anything, he's going to take the time to do it right.

-- Baxter staying up late on a Saturday night to put the finishing touches on the costume, and Derek throwing him over his shoulder, telling him it can wait, he needs to get in bed. Or Baxter staying up late to sew and Cove catches him in the morning, then throws him over his shoulder and tucks him in.

-- Oh my god so much of poly is just Baxter being with at least two big strong men who can manhandle him ANYWAY

-- Baxter would probably have Ideas about what the costume should be and there's a chance they could be a little pretentious (it's ok I can say that because I love him). But if Cove is ever like "um, I was thinking we could be this other thing?" Well then that's the thing you are being, because Cove is ultimate baby in poly land.

-- Cove wanting everyone to be Pokemon can you imagine. I also, just as a treat, like to think of them doing Sailor Moon cosplay where Baxter is Tuxedo Mask (because of course he is), Derek is Sailor Moon and Cove is Chibiusa, ok bye

-- Derek, as always, is down for whatever, will have a good time no matter what. Will literally wear anything. For real, absolutely anything.

-- God Cove would be a BABY in the haunted house. Would try to play cool and be like "no, I didn't get scared, it just startled me," and Derek's like "Sure, Cove, that's why you jumped in my arms." Derek would laugh a lot, and Baxter would be unbothered, like he'd just have that goofy little smirk like "Oh, isn't this a delightful holiday excursion."

-- Unfortunately I don't think any of them would throw hands in the haunted house :( I don't think Baxter would really throw hands in any scenario, and Derek has too much control over his strength to do something like that. I don't think it would be an instinct Cove would have, but if anyone would, it would be him. Maybe Derek put on a clown movie that accidentally got under his skin a little too much and he didn't sleep enough the night before and it just happens.

MC: COVE WHAT DID YOU DO?!

Cove: *big eyes, startled, panicking* I didn't ... I didn't think ...

Derek: *hands on hips, shaking head* That's exactly the problem, bud. You didn't think.

so I re-read bee's fic ( this is relevant to u btw I prommy) ( also it's called under the hanging rose) and then I started re-reading ywnmtbah and fuck man, fuck I literally forgot why I loved that story so much, it was truly an experience ( it also ruined my sleep schedule but that's ok) ( no but like legit i was up at fucking uhhh 2-6am ish reading this on a tuesday night but it gave me so much serotonin 10/10 experience, def would do again, still will lol)

anyway so one thing that happens is that wilbur gets an ornate walking cane and it you pull the top of it it's attached to a dagger and I was like " now where I have I seen this before? " and then I was like " OHHHHH FLAME'S FICCC "

Yeeeeah I'm still kicking around a lot with TNT Duo. I haven't stopped obsessing over these two and the fixation is still going strong so yeah, I've probably been one of the most active fic writers still kicking around in the tags. Apparently YWNTMBAH still manages to make people feel things and mess up their sleep schedule. People's passion for that fic really makes me feel good as an author and I'm happy it's still being enjoyed by many.

Oooooo that's interesting! I really do like the idea of cane based weapons or otherwise weapons hidden in plain sight. It's always very fascinating as a concept and I'm glad to see the idea whenever it crops up!
