Can we have a moment to Tan Bionica, argentinian band that literally wrote a song just for Wolf and Ze'ev Kesley himself only???
Every morning of luck, although this one no longer counts I'm going to count it as one more day that I did not live. Your absence feels so strong, multiplies what death means And it took over the whole sky from our garden. Dawn princess, you were darkened I dreamed of writing you a poem, but i destroyed it Now paint your own colors, i ask you to not cry Don't ever forget everything that made us this way. - And like that, i had to leave. I prepared all your things just for you Lets put away the awkward hours. And maybe its the secret perfume the roses have That reminds me: the things that happen, hurt me - To have you, and untie you from your worst parts Doesn't mean that you have to walk away from your life like this Stop absorbing yourself, stop losing and hating yourself Because there's a moon for every single night in Paris. - And like that, i had to leave And like that, I got so lost. I will miss your stubborn mornings Oh, the things that happen are hurting me - I prepared my own grave I don't want to lose you, or anything worst Miracle nurses will help me Because all the things that happen, hurt me
"Las cosas que pasan" - Tan Bionica
(-vi)
IM SORRY VI THIS WAS FROM JANUARY BUT I DIDNT FORGET ABOUT YOU I PROMISEEEE
there’s a moon for every single night in paris ??? um yeah this is them
if we’re talking wolflet coded songs in spanish let me suggest yo no te pido la luna… como un tatuaje vivo / impregnarme en tu ser / no borrarme de ti like that’s literally talking about wolf’s lsop tattoo and when the lunar doctors altered his memory :/// and then ofc the whole chorus is about the moon. “robarme esa estrella que vemos tú y yo al hacer el amor” is like when cress asked if scarlet was wolf’s alpha star. also the singer was secretly Homosexual in the 80s and that’s just even more wolflet coded imo

Wolflet Fanart!!
Tumblr media
I drew this during Inktober, but I figured I’d save it for when I didn’t have a prompt for what to post everyday. (also, sorry in advance for anyone who was enjoying the mostly cosmere content; this is a multifandom blog and i will be posting different things)
It’s Wolflet! They’re adorable and I love them. I think I did pretty good, Scarlet’s hair is like... one of the best things I’ve ever drawn I think. I hope y’all like it! As I said before, this series (The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer) is AMAZING and I wholeheartedly recommend to every human being who enjoys a good book.

Can we just appreciate how most of our men in the Lunar Chronicles never show interest in any other woman than the one they – luckily – end up with?
First, there is Kai, who probably very well knows that he, being the heir to the throne and all that, could have any girl to go to that ball with him, but he just doesn’t care. The only one he could think of as interesting company is Cinder.
Wolf, well, he never really got the chance to meet or even date any women – Scarlet is the first, and, as he soon decides, also the best option. Awesome as she is, why look any further? He’s found his alpha and that’s that.
Most likely Jacin can’t even remember a time where he didn’t love Winter. Even if it was in a platonic, innocent way when they were children – and only with time evolved into some different kind of love. But it’s always been her, and only her. Because apart from Winter, everyone else can be already grateful when Jacin even tolerates them. Liking people in general is not part of his agenda.
 … And then there’s Thorne. 😄

"But Grandmother!  What big teeth you have!" (Red Riding Hood)
Still in love with The Lunar Chronicles. :3
I’m not 100% satisfied with his expression but I wanted to “save” him here in case I end up “verschlimmbessern” it. Verschlimmbessern is german slang and it means you try to make something better (besser) but you end up making it worse (schlimmer).
I started this little sketchbook and wanted to color directly on the sketch BUT NO WAY. LOOK AT HIM. I’m too afraid to ruin it x’D

One year before the present day
Scarlet never thought that she would be noticed. Her whole life, she'd been invisible, but she always pushed to get attention. At first, it was to gain attention from her no-good father, who cared more about his drinks and women than his daughter. So she ran away to her grandmother's house. And that was when she lived in France. They moved here to New Beijing to get away from her father. But that was not the real reason. Scarlet had the same power as her grandma, the ability to have perfect accuracy. That's why she won dart night all the time. Her grandmother realized that there was no opportunity in France, so they moved to New Beijing. She met Selene, a girl in foster care with a terrible foster family. But then, a new superhero started showing up, calling herself 'Cinders.'
And Scarlet was a bit obsessed.
She told Selene all about Cinders, how she dressed, rumors, why her hair is always in a ponytail, her secret identity, etc. Selene was still flustered when Scarlet talked about Cinders and never talked much about the superhero with her. Selene would always change the subject when Scarlet would bring it up. Cinders were Scarlet's idol! When Selene was 14, and Scarlet was 16, she revealed herself as Channary's late daughter. Scarlet already knew this, but when Selene told her she was moving to Blackburn Skyscrapers. Scarlet freaked. She was losing her best friend. But then someone else took an interest in her. No other than Cinders herself!
Now here she was, a year later from everything, and was working with Cinders. But no one knew about Scarlet's power, and she kept it a secret because she didn't feel the need to tell anyone. She was happy and still obsessing over Cinders, and hopefully, she would stay like this for a very long time.
"Scarlet!" a familiar voice rang through the halls of the abandoned factory that the superheroes took over as their 'secret base', "Look out!" Android came running in; her arms stretched out and tackled Scarlet.
"What! What happened! Is there danger!" Scarlet exclaimed before Captain Thorn came flying in, carrying a big pole. It was more like he was flying away from something, "Did you hurt Cinder again?"
"It was an accident!" Thorne yelled, "I didn't mean to hurt Cinder; she was in the way!"
"Well, guess what, Dingus! Next time you're going to open your eyes and look at your surroundings before you go pole vaulting!" Cinders appeared in the doorway, her mask covering her eyes, and had a messy ponytail falling apart. She usually wore an all-black outfit with a black leather coat that reached her feet with orange streaks running through them. Her hair also had orange highlights in them. Scarlet had to admit; it looked pretty cool.
"Sorry, gorgeous, I didn't mean to give you a black eye to ruin your perfect face." Cinders growled and facepalmed. Captain Thorn had a traditional superhero outfit. With the red cape and everything.
"We have visitors!" The Androids voice rang. She wore a bodysuit that had a low cut on her chest. The outfit had pastel blue and lavender purple streak the white background. The colors went well with her dark skin and blue braids. All three of them wore masks over their eyes.
"Who's here? Nobody told me that we had people coming over," Scarlet looked at Cinders, and every time she did, a rush of excitement went through her. It was almost as if she couldn't believe she was here with three superheroes! One of them was her idol! Her heart thumped, and she looked away.
"Just some friends. They have information on the people being experimented on in Blackburn Industries."
"Last time you said a friend was coming over, and now we have the Frenchling," Thorne said. Scarlet scowled at him, and he gulped, "What I mean is, are we going to get some new superheroes?"
"Possibly. It depends if they want to or not." Cinder picked her nail with the metal-covered hand.
"Hello, fellow superheroes. I am Winter Hayle-Blackburn, at your service" A girl with dark brown skin and a pure white dress walked in gracefully, followed by a man with pale blonde hair. When Scarlet could see her face, she gasped. This girl was beautiful! She saw that there were scars under her left eye and briefly wondered what could've caused them. How did everyone get so attractive all of a sudden? Is it like a superhero gene or? Iko gasped and looked at Cinder, then back at Winter like she figured something out.
"Hi, Winter. You already know me. This is Android, Scarlet, and Thor-"
"Captain Thorn"
"Thorn. Anyways, you said that you have news for us?" Winter's eyes went wide and looked at the man behind her.
"Right. Jacin and I would like to talk to you all about the man in the cage."
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
"Ze'ev Kesley," Scarlet murmured, looking at the file Jacin had given them, "Who names their kid Ze'ev?" She looked at Android, who only shrugged in reply. They were at the back of the Blackburn Skyscraper, and Winter gave them a lock combination t get inside. Winter also instructed them to go to the basement, and they will find Selene there. Scarlet was excited to meet her friend again but a little scared. What if Selene changed? Well, at least she had Cinders.
Android punched in some numbers and opened the door. "Since we're all alone, I have some questions I've meant to ask you ever since you joined the team," Android said like they were going to gossip about boys.
"Oh no," Scarlet said under her breath.
"So, first, are you into anyone?"
"No?"
"Why did you say that like a question?"
"I don't know?" Android huffed as they made their way through the back tunnels. She wore regular civilian clothes for a change, and a blue hoodie covered her striking hair. She also wore a scarf and sunglasses to keep her identity hidden from Scarlet.
"Well, I do, and he's so cute," sighed the superhero dreamily.
"When did you meet him."
"The other day."
"Makes sense," only Android could fall in love with a person in a day. They went inside the elevator, and Scarlet pressed the button that went towards the basement.
"What about Cinders?" Scarlet looked at Android, confused.
"What about her?"
"You look at her the same way I look at Kai Pierce every time I see him on a picture." It was then Scarlet knew for sure that The Android has officially gone cuckoo bananas. Scarlet began to laugh.
"You're ridiculous."
"I think that I'm right." Scarlet laughed some more.
"Then I look at you and Thorne the same way," Scarlet looked up, "It's just that you guys are important, you two are superheroes, and I'm just the girl who helps them with minor tasks."
Android looked at Scarlet weirdly, "You know, Cinder, Thorne, and I have been considering telling you about our identities. And adding you as a fully-fledged member to our team!" Then, in one motion, The Android took out her sunglasses and scarf, and Scarlet gasped.
"One, this is not happening. Two, I have never seen you before in my life, so put the disguise back on. Three, I don't have- wait, I do."
"You don't have what?"
"Are there cameras in here?!"
"Yes, but they can't hear what we are saying."
"Oh, ok. But they can identify you!"
"No one knows who I am."
"Right," a ding disrupted their conversation, the elevator doors opened. Scarlet walked and recalled the directions that Winter had given them. She couldn't believe what Android just did. Scarlet refused too. But wait, did that mean that she was part of the team now? Will she get a name and a suit. The thought of being a superhero excited Scarlet so much; she could be jumping up and down. Then she saw someone she hadn't seen in a long time.
"Scarlet, you finally arrived! Long time, no see. Hey Iko." Selene was wearing a white shirt with green cargo pants with gloves and grease all over her face and smiled at Scarlet. Her old friend shared a secretive looked with The Android- WAIT! DID SELENE CALL THE ANDROID IKO!
"You know An- Iko?" Selene nodded
"Yep, she's The Android.' I tried to convince her to get a better name, but she like 'The Android'"
"Y-you know. wh-what is h-happen-ning r-right n-now." Scarlet felt like she was going to faint. Selen knew The Android. SINCE WHEN!
"It seems to me that Selene over here is Cinders, and Iko is The Android, and I, the incredibly handsome Carswell Rampion, is Captain Thorn." A guy appeared out of nowhere and slid an arm over Selene. No, CINDERS!
"Sorry I kept it from you all this time. I didn't know you had powers, and I didn't want to leave one of my closest friends behind, so I thought it would be better not to tell you."
"Wow. Umm, okay, this took a turn I did not expect."
"I think this is probably an inappropriate time to cut in, but Winter said some heroes were coming in to rescue me. I'm assuming that you guys are them?" Scarlet looked at a man older than her with striking green eyes. He had handsome features, and when he locked eyes with Scarlet, she looked away. She could also feel her cheeks heating up. He was behind metal bars placed inside the wall, and Scarlet didn't know how she didn't notice him until now. Maybe it was because she was just told THAT HER BEST FRIEND WAS CINDERS! SCARLET'S IDOL! THE HERO OF NEW BEIJING!
"Are Ze'ev Kesley?" Asked Selene- Cinders. The man nodded his head. He also had unruly dark brown hair. Scarlet briefly wondered how it would feel.
"Okay then. Our sources tell us, and by sources, I mean Winter, that you can shapeshift into any animal, am I right?
"Well, each animal takes time and practice to morph into. Sometimes it's painful, but the wolf is my favorite, and it's the easiest to control."
"So, do you have a pack or something?" Scarlet butted in. Ze'ev smiled warmly. She could felt her heart do a little backflip.
"No, but if I did, I would probably be the alpha. Hopefully." He looked away as if he was in deep thought.
"Yeah, I think so too." She smiled at Ze'ev, and he smiled back. Unlike other, certain men, Ze'ev was nice and warm. She liked that. Biting her lip, she looked up and felt something warm rush through her.
"I think I see some sparks flying," The Android- Iko singsonged. Snapping out of her trance, Scarlet glared at Iko and Thorne, who were snickering. She looked at the superheroes and saw not the great, extraordinary, talented, power-wielding celebrities. She saw normal teenagers. And Scarlet was one of them. Her friends had spilled all of their secrets, so Scarlet felt she had to do the same.
"Hey, guys. I have something I've been keeping from you as well."

The Benoit-Kesley Library
Hey guys! I've finally completed another fic lol. I thought it would be cute to write about Scarlet and Wolf having their own library. Hope you guys enjoy it! 😊 ------ It had been a while since Scarlet had read books - and stars, did she miss it! Her love for stories had started with her grandmère. Every night, she would tell Scarlet her stories of her adventures as a pilot across the world, especially to the glittering palace of Artemisia in Luna.  On the day when her grandmère had to leave again, she had gifted Scarlet with a book of children's collection of stories. It became the book Scarlet had always cherished and held close to her as she gazed up at the moon, where she imagined her grandmère would be.  As she devoured the stories and let her imagination consume her, sooner or later, reality had taken over - her father leaving, the responsibities of the farm on her shoulders, food running out which meant she'd have to work and earn etc.  Soon, the book was neglected. The beautiful, illustrated stories she had once loved, started to decay on the pages.  It was only a few years later when Scarlet was searching for her daughter, Michelle's, toy while Xan, her son, pulled on her apron, when she had rediscovered the book.  She caressed the cover with a loving touch, her eyes filling with tears.  From then on, she read all the stories to the children over and over again - until their curiosity for new stories grew.  She then resorted to telling them stories about wolf's and her adventures in Luna.  The urge to read new stories overwhelmed her and to her relief, she had discovered a library at the end of the street. Why she hadn't noticed this, she would never know.  From the talk around town, the library was going to be sold- the owner had passed away and his son refused to keep the library, claiming 'portscreens were more in than old, dusty books'.  How wrong he was. At that moment, with her saved up univs, Scarlet bought the library from the ignorant boy- sneaking in a comment of her own about how she wouldn't have to recharge her books. It was hard at first. While Wolf offered to take up the farm responsibilities and Emilie offered to babysit the twins, Scarlet was left with cleaning up the library. What she didn't expect was its condition; cobwebs in the corners of the rooms, heavy dust particles lining the scattered books, dirt marks on the wooden floors etc.  Tying up her hair, Scarlet got to work. She dusted the bookshelves and strung open the curtains, coughing heavily at the dust clouds. She sweeped the floor and the carpet areas, wiped the counter, the tables and the chairs and reorganised the books alphabetically. Sometimes, Wolf and the twins would visit on her lunch break, bringing with them freshly baked scones with strawberries and cream. Sometimes Scarlet would discover a new book and read a chapter or two to them, grinning widely at their attentive stares.  After they had relaxed, it was back to work. Michelle and Xan painted some artwork for the children's section while Wolf and Scarlet cleaned the windows (throwing some soapy water at each other every now and again), brought in new, cosy armchairs and decorated the outside with freshly picked roses. Emilie had come over one of the days and gifted Scarlet and wolf with a personalised sign she had created, that read 'The Benoit-Kesley Library'.  As Scarlet, Wolf, the twins and Emilie admired the library outside, Scarlet felt a warm spark of excitement rush through her. As well as relief they had done the library. This was theirs. Their own library. The anticipation of discovering the stories hidden in those rows and rows of books made Scarlet shift around on her feet with excitement.  The next day, they re-opened the library to the townspeople.  At first, Scarlet only received a few customers. Not that she minded as it gave her a chance to slouch back into one of the cosy chairs and distract herself with a book (or two). It was not until Wolf and Scarlet wanted to teach their twins to read, that Scarlet got the idea to introduce reading events for the children of Rieux. She was not surprised to find the library packed after getting the word out. The children shrieked with laughter as Scarlet read while Wolf did the actions. Their sweet laughter made Scarlet's heart swell with delight.  Once, she had offered to swap roles with Wolf but at the panic-stricken look Wolf gave, Scarlet neglected the idea. At first, she thought he was only nervous but it was only until one evening as Scarlet pushed her book trolley, she caught a glimpse of Wolf in one of the book aisles. She halted and peeked into the aisle.  Wolf sat against the shelf. His knees were folded to his chest, a book balanced on them. Scarlet pulled a small smile as she watched him spelling out the words, his forehead creased with concentration.  Scarlet's heart ached as she understood why Wolf had been worried to read.  Because he couldn't read.  Scarlet face-palmed herself. Of course! Having been forced to become a mutant soldier at a young age and living under Levana's regime, she doubted education was exactly on the cards. She had been too busy with sorting the library out that she hadn't thought about it.  Scarlet's eyes filled up with tears.  Roughly wiping her tears, she abandoned her trolley and approached him.  'Hey.'  Wolf's head snapped up. With a awkward smile, he hid the book at his side.  'Hi! Sorry, did you need me?'  Scarlet sat on her bent knees beside him and shook her head.  She held his face in her hands and gave him a long, tender kiss.  Wolf gently pulled apart, his lips lingering near hers. He pulled a small smile, his cheeks were flushed. 'What was that for?' He asked, out of breath.  Scarlet grinned.  She leaned closer, reaching for the book he had hidden at his side.  She read the title: 'The Earthen boy and the moon'.  She held the book out as though advertising it.  'Why didn't you tell me you couldn't read?'  Wolf's glazed eyes focused on her. His sweet smile faded.  He lowered his eyes at the book. 'My mother taught me to read a bit. But then I got dragged into training... I... I guess I was embarassed. A grown man like me, not able to do something as simple as reading. I... didn't want you to think there's something else I couldn't do because of my past,' he whispered.  Scarlet touched his cheek. Wolf glanced up.   'Wolf... Why would you think that? You know I love you no matter what you were made to do. Our past doesn't have to affect our future. There's some things we can't get rid of from our past either,' Scarlet said, waving her right hand where two cyborg fingers replaced the one and a half fingers she lost because of Levana.  Wolf brought her hand to his lips and kissed it.  'I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that,' Wolf replied.  Scarlet waved his reply away.  'I know. You can still learn to read, you know. There's never a deadline for learning things.' He rose up to his feet. Scarlet did the same, holding the book in her hands. He ran his hands through his unkempt hair, his back to her.  'I don't know if I can. I don't think reading is for me. I couldn't get past the first page,' Wolf said, frustration lacing his words.  Scarlet planted a hand on his shoulder, turning him around.  'Of course you can. Learning takes practice. Do you know what my grandmère said about why reading is important? She told me that in a world controlled by people like Levana, people find freedom and hope in books. Books help us learn from other people's experiences and give us characters we can love and look up to.  'If you learn to read, Wolf, you can become whoever you want. I love you no matter who you choose to be and you are already a role model to our twins. But I want you to be comfortable with who you are. Not who you have to be. So from tomorrow, I'll teach you to read with Michelle and Xan.' Wolf's eyes widened with protest.  'You don't have to, Scarlet. I'll only be disturbing our twins' learning-' Scarlet raised a eyebrow and spoke with a dangerously low voice: 'Ze'ev Kesley. If I can handle a whole library while teaching our children to read, I'm sure I can teach you to read too. You just have to push aside your embarrassment and then it won't feel so daunting,' Scarlet persuaded.  She placed the book in his hands.  Wolf stared at her for a moment before sighing.  'Fine. I forget how persuasive you can be, especially when you say "Ze'ev". Maybe you should start calling me by my real name,' Wolf teased, wrapping his arms around her waist.  Scarlet placed her hands on his chest, a playful grin on her face.  'Well, I am your alpha. That's got to count for something, right? Ze'ev,' Scarlet spelled out her name as her lips touched his.  Wolf let out a low growl that reverberated through her body.  She brushed her hands through his hair and kissed him tenderly.  'Scarlet! You almost done? I have to open the tavern early tomorrow!' Emilie called, her voice strained as Michelle and Xan giggled.  Scarlet and Wolf drifted apart, their faces illuminated with wide grins. ------ As promised, Scarlet taught Wolf, Xan and Michelle to read.  Scarlet smiled with warmth as both the twins argued with Wolf about how to pronounce a word.  She sat back and watched with a stifled laugh. They were all too adorable for their own good.  Scarlet wasn't surprised to see that Wolf was a quick learner- he could get the twins to brush their teeth, change into their clothes and go to sleep all within two minutes.  She smiled widely with pride as every day, Wolf could read a single word to a sentence, and then to a paragraph. Eventually, he finished reading the book, his eyes wide with amazement.  At the end of the week, Scarlet had scheduled Wolf to read to the children. He of course protested, but she reassured him that she would be beside him.   The day had come and the children gathered on the floor, bouncing with excitement and chatter.  Scarlet stood beside Wolf who fiddled with his top button frantically.  Grinning, she did the button for him. She stared up at him.  'Don't be nervous! You'll be fine. Just breathe and read, ok?' Scarlet reassured.  Wolf nodded. He rubbed his sweaty palms down his jeans.  Scarlet pecked his cheek with a kiss.  Wolf smiled widely. He tried to steal another kiss but Scarlet blocked his lips with his book.  The children giggled.  Scarlet and Wolf both sat in their seats, silencing the children's chatter.  Wolf gulped at the attentive gazes aimed at him.  He opened the book wide beside him, to the first page.  He glanced at her.  Scarlet nodded with encouragement.  Wolf grinned widely at their twins sat before them. 'There was once an earthen boy who would always gaze up at the moon,' Wolf started, spacing out the words. His lovely, rough voice was wobbly with nerves.  And from there, Scarlet relaxed back and listened as Wolf mesmerised the little crowd with his voice. The words came out more easily as the story progressed.  When Wolf finished reading, the children clapped. Michelle and Xan screamed 'Again! Again!'  Wolf grinned from ear to ear. Scarlet could almost hear his pounding heartbeat.  Throughout the day, Wolf did all the reading- his enthusiasm infectious- While Scarlet did all the actions. As the day came to a close, Scarlet locked up the library. As Emilie walked ahead with the twins holding each of her hands, Scarlet wrapped an arm around his waist.  'I'm so proud of you for reading out today. I told you, you would be good!' Scarlet nudged him lightly with her hip.   Wolf laughed heartily.  He leaned his face close to hers.  'Thanks. I am so proud to have a wife like you. If you didn't push me to read, I wouldn't have experienced this amazing feeling. I love you,' Wolf whispered.  Scarlet gazed up into his faint, green eyes.  'I love you too.'  Scarlet brushed her lips against Wolf's.  As they followed behind Emilie, Scarlet leaned her head against Wolf's shoulder. She glanced up, dazzled by the stars above.  Her thoughts revolved to her grandmère. Scarlet hoped she was watching. And she hoped her grandmère was proud.
