Been thinking about Bendy and redoing my self insert for it, and I think I have a neat idea cause of some funky stuff that happened in Dark Revival (everything else will be under read more to avoid spoilering folks)

Actually rq lemme ramble about something else. There's a new female butcher gang member, a ghost girl if I remember correctly, and she has a physical form and everything despite seemingly not being used at all. It kinda makes me want to make Amber a concept character, though not really canon show wise.

Anywho studio Amber

I had the idea that Amber would have the nickname "Mama Wolf," as her whole thing would be trying to protect the Boris clones all around the studio. I came up with a little story where when she first emerged from the puddles, she accidentally ran into a Boris who took care of her and helped her get used to this scary new world.

Then, through some unfortunate circumstances, Boris ends up sacrificing himself for Amber and gets killed. She later met another clone and soon learned there were many wolves around. So, like the first Boris she was with, she became a protector. She'd help them with food or shelter, even weapons if she could. It earned her the nickname "Mama Wolf" by some.

I even thought that maybe she's the reason Tom was alive. Perhaps Tom went toe to toe with the ink demon or Alice, but Amber would distract them and even at one point, take a hit for him (resulting in an injured eye).

I've also been wondering about the differences between Ink Machine and Dark Revival. I had a thought of Amber being with Boris and Henry during chapter 3, getting badly hurt in the elevator crash to the point in chapter 4 she'd simply sit next to the haunted house ride, in too much pain to do much of anything. She'd even die just before Henry gets on the ride, though I'm still workshopping it.

For Dark Revival, I was thinking that maybe she'd be alive, perhaps even run into Audrey herself. After Allison of course. She could even show up at the end with everyone else. I honestly wonder how her and Allison would get along, since it seems Allison cares somewhat for Alice while Amber would absolutely hate her, for obvious reasons

I put "good" in quotes because obviously there's no accounting for taste, so this is only my personal opinion. 10. The Watchmaker of Filigree Street by Natasha Pulley (magical realism here too, you can skip the sequel IMO)

12. Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin (I'm not sure this counts as historical fiction because it was written in 1956 but it should be mandatory reading for basically everyone)

13. The Vintner's Luck by Elizabeth Knox (okay so one of the queer main characters is literally a fallen angel, but who's to say that can't be real 🤷🏻‍♀️)

14. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller (is Greek Mythology technically historical fiction? I say it belongs here!)

15. The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas (LOL I know, I know, it's not "canon", but I dare you all to read it and then tell me they aren't all disaster bisexuals! Just consider this a free bonus.)

it depends on the style of the fic, but detailed narration in some form - be it action scenes, introspection, etc - usually causes me some problems.

I used to do it bc I was a pretentious shit, but I think without a key at the end it's kind of a dick move - unless the POV character isn't meant to understand it. then if you do, it's like a little bonus!

Oooh I do believe it would be Bobby. He just gave off soft dad vibes and I absolutely adored that.

The character you never expected to love so much:

Luther!! soft monkey man 💗 <-- straight up stealing Dani’s comment there. I always expected I’d end up liking Luther at some point but I love him so, so much now 

Athena!!! I had a hard time getting to like her and Buck, but I knew from gifsets that I’d end up loving Buck eventually so I just. Adore Athena and her character a lot and I’m very glad I do. 

STEVE. Oh my goodness the arc that he went through..I am so glad they decided to change his character into a good, sweet guy because he got a Zuko-version redemption (it’s v funny bc there’s a post detailing why Zuko’s redemption works and they can be applied to Steve’s in season 1 and!! Further evidence backing that post up if I could just FIND it lol). But I love Steve a lot!!!

Ooooh. Very hard. I think I want to say Chimney. I feel like I have elements of Maddie and Buck but overall I think I fit Chim’s vibe and he’s the character I’m the most similar to, but while hers is faaar more intense that mine I think Maddie’s arc and coping really gets to me and Buck is bi because he’s definitely bi so you know. 

Hm. I’m not super sure that I relate to any of them honestly? I think if I had to choose I’d say Robin, probably, but that’s it really.

so..... many.... tbh this place is a hell site lmao but the first thing that comes to mind is when people do sets labeled ‘how to be [x character/ship] af’ and it’s always 3x3 sets with ‘x af’ on each gif.... which is all well and good but a lot of them use words that make no sense??? like ‘food af’ and it’s just a gif of a character eating and it pisses me off for some reason lol

also pastel gifs bother me but they’re really common so i’m just meh about them tbh. but super desaturated ones are definitely unappealing to me

12. What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever giffed

honestly everything i gif is #embarrassing because of my interests so nothing comes to mind

14. How long does it usually take you to make a set

sometimes i think it takes me waaaay longer than it should to make gifs. for a set with 8, 9 or 10 gifs it could take me 2-3 hours tbh, or even more if my computer decides it hates me (and it usually does)

i used to sharpen frame by frame though so honestly anything that isn’t 12 hrs/a set is a godsend

17. 10 sets, 8 sets, 6 sets? How many gifs to you prefer in a set

i usually go for 8, but i don’t mind 10 either. i would only do 6 gifs in a set if i was giffing a specific scene (vs a character or ship)

19. What is your giffing process like

i spend 10 hours accidentally watching whatever i’m trying to gif, then i have to do this really ~convoluted thing with my computer where i transfer the frames from my capture folder to my backup disk because my computer is old and my scratch disks are constantly 9/10 full lmao. then i spend 2 minutes actually making the gif in photoshop, although i sometimes get waaaay too caught up in coloring them because i’ve started making new psds for every set now (which has made a real difference in the quality imo)

so.... it’s a mess

23. What is the thing you gif when you don’t have anything else you want to gif

it depends but right now the only thing i’ve been giffing is descendants for sure

yes!! way too many times to count. i can’t even remember how many over the years but i’d say for every set i’ve actually posted, there’s at least one that i’ve deleted because i ended up hating it

also i did that just a couple days ago with a jay set i made for an anon (sorry anonymous i failed you and am unreliable)

i made an allison argent set (for the true LOML) on one of my other blogs for an appreciation week years ago and it was one of the first color-specific sets i’d ever done, so i was really excited when it all pulled together. i’m sure i’d hate it looking back, but i’m proud that i managed to make a semi-decent color-driven set because i had been really admiring them for a long time

i usually do the approximate same process for like a year at a time, so i’d say i have a pretty set routine!
