DELTARUNE; Gargy's Fairytale Theory
Tumblr media
So, lately I've kind of had an itch in the back of my mind about DELTARUNE, more specifically the secret or hidden bosses in the game and a little correlation they all share. I'll try to keep this under 100 pages but i promise nothing (tee hee hee)
If you've played the game to the extent you're looking at a tumblr blog dedicated to it, you're probably familiar with the character's jevil and spamton. These are the two characters coined by the community as "secret bosses", since you have to stray away from the games intended path to find them (in most cases.)
When you defeat spamton in his 'NEO form', a neat little song will play with his dialogue "a real boy!", this is a nod to the fable/fairytale "pinochio" I'm sure everyone's familiar with. It's a story about a doll that comes to life in search of becoming 'a real boy'. This corrilation made me realize there are A LOT of similarity's between pinochio and spamton. The strings, his regular form being a mockup of a doll, even his goal to become "big", its almost like becoming a 'real boy'. He knows he's not 'real', and just like at the end of pinochio, he too becomes renewed (reneo'd).
This made me wonder if the other secret boss, Jevil, represented something other than the Joker card. Then I realized whenever he was hit in his fat empty head it actually sprung out like a jack-in-the-box. I initially discarded this since it wasn't really a fable or fairy-tale, but if you do some digging you'll find it actually is!!!@! back in the 1400's somewhat, the jack in the box was originally named 'The Devil in the Box', essentially it's a story about a man who trapped a devil in a boot in order to save a village in france at the time, kinda like that one story about the court jester who got locked away by his magician friend in order to save their kingdom (haha. hahahahha. thats from deltarune. hahaha.) just to run home my point, jack-in-the-box; Devil in the box. Jack; Devil. What way could you fuse them together? Dack? Jackil? maybe some other 3rd way that has some importance to Yea thats right you know you've always known its Jevil.
Obviously, in deltarune fashion, its easy to overthink most elements in the story. Granted, toby will make an entire 2nd game about a hypothetical character you've never met but no you've only ever POSSIBLY met through a 1/100 chance door where he'll show you his asshole and then disappear into a million pieces, but yea, it's easy to make certain correlations that aren't even really there. In this case however I'd say that there's one more correlation that seals the deal that makes this theory WORTH theorizing.
Yea gaster. even though he's not even technically a character yet, every piece of information regarding him seems to lead people to believe he's not only the narrator at the beginning of the game, but he's also the 'man' behind the tree (since the way you find 'his sprite' in undertale is almost exactly similar ['theres a room in-between, theres a room, in-between']). I'm assuming you know what there is to know about gaster so im not gonna go into it, so onto the correlation.
I've read before someone talking about how gaster represents easter eggs in video games, not only physically (egghead) but metaphorically (the way you find him, his implied involvment with the secret bosses, the fact he gives you an '''''EGG''''' when you DO find him). Well if he is technically involved with the secret bosses, wouldn't that make him a fable too? I'm here to tell you he is. he is HUMPTY DUMPTY from SECOND GRADE FAIRY TALE PLAY.
I've already gone over his physical and metaphorical symbolism relating to eggs, but the story of humpty dumpty is also very, haha, hahahaha, hahahhahahaha
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall (The Core)
Humpty dumpty took a big fall ("Fell into his own creation")
All the kings horses and all the kings men (Who did gaster work for again?)
Couldn't put Humpty together again ("He was shattered across time and space")
What could this mean? for the future it means that if this theory is right, EVERY secret boss we meet is gonna represent not only a lightworld object, but an actual FAIRTY TALE, a FABLE. I mean, how many fables are out there. I know theres one in particular, one that the game is named after, one that has to do with an ANGEL. an ''''ANGEL'''' with ''''TATTERED WINGS''''''.
but then again idk
EDIT: ALSO LITTLE MISS MUFFET THINK ABOUT THAT UNDER-HEADS LITTLE MISS MUFFET SAT ON HER TUFFET
Last edit: also this has no grounds as an actual theory but uhhh that mf that made the Undertale RED boss fight got hired on the team. Huh. I wonder what Red was a reference to. Huh.

URL Song Tag Game
Thanks to being tagged by @seriallovertrait and @gamyrmaiden I get to bless you all with how eclectic my music taste really is. I'm going to tuck it all below the cut because my username is long.
Quick moment for all my beloved songs that start with s that won't be able to be mentioned 🕯️
Everyone who sees this is obviously tagged but I know not everyone is music mad. For some exact tags... @marcishaun, @sharona-sims, @daedriyth, @simslegacy5083, @aliengirl, @limeysims, @nigmos, @ethicaltreatmentofcowplants (feel free to shorten your username, or not, I'm not your boss), @eljeebee, @calicosimgirl, @mushbop. But EVERYONE is genuinely tagged because I'd put you all in if I could.
So, songs for the letters of my username below! Also including the lyrics I love because who am I if not someone who breaks the rules of tag games? Please don't feel like you have to do this level of detail, it's purely me making more work for myself.
EDIT: Omg and @matchalovertrait tagged me to but I missed it because I took so long doing this 🫠
C Curtains: Ed Sheeran
This one is my, I see the light at the end of my depression tunnel song. It came out just as my mental health was moving into a better place. Obviously I also love Ed Sheeran.
Can you pull the curtains, let me see the sunshine? I think I'm done with my hidin' place, and you found me anyway It's been forever, but I'm feelin' alright Tears dry and will leave no trace, and tomorrow's another day
H Heroes: David Bowie
I love David Bowie! This song is a classic and it always makes me happy.
I, I will be king And you, you will be queen Though nothing will drive them away We can be Heroes, just for one day
A All the King's Horses: Karmina
I am still obsessed with Reign. This song I actually heard and fell in love with before I saw it on the show though. It conveys such rich emotion. Seriously, if you only listen to one song from my post, make it this one. It makes me want to write every time I listen to it.
All the king's horses and all the king's men Couldn't put me back together again
There is a reason I'm still standing I never knew if I'd be landing And I will run fast, outlast Everyone that said no
N Never Enough: Loren Allred
I love musicals, though I'm not as obsessed as some. I really like the Greatest Showman and it has a bunch of great songs. This song always takes my breath away.
All the shine of a thousand spotlights All the stars we steal from the night sky Will never be enough Never be enough Towers of gold are still too little These hands could hold the world but it'll Never be enough Never be enough
G Gold Forever: The Wanted
My boyband phase was The Wanted rather than One Direction. I love Gold Forever, and hearing it gives me all the nostalgic high school feelings. I still can't believe Tom is dead.
Promise me, you'll stay the way you are Keep the fire alive and stay young at heart When the storm feels like it could blow you out Remember, you got me and I got you
'Cause we are butterflies, butterflies, we were meant to fly You and I, you and I, colors in the sky When the innocence is dead and gone These will be the times we look back on
I It Won't Be Long Now: In the Heights Original Motion Picture Cast
I love so many songs from this film, some days I will just listen to the album on loop for hours. This one is a favourite, along with Blackout and Champagne.
The neighborhood salon doesn't pay me what I wanna be making but I don't mind As I sweep the curb I can hear those turbo engines blazing a trail through the sky I look up and think about the years gone by But one day I'm walking to JFK and I'm gonna fly!
N Nothing Left to Lose: Jeremy Jordan and Eden Espinosa
Yes this song is from the Tangled animated TV series. I see no problems. These two are great singers and honestly I could just copy/paste all the song lyrics because it's great.
So I chose To lose my doubts and lose my chains Lose each weakness that remains Now that I have nothing left to lose Nothing left to lose
G Give Me Your Hand: The Ready Set
This is one that gets stuck in my head easily but I actually fell in love with it because the lyric video for it is singing the song in sign language! We love inclusion and accessibility here!
She said 'I love this song I've heard it before and it stole my heart I know every word' She's gonna dance all night night, Till it hurts Singing the best song ever, best song ever!
P Playground: High Dive Heart
I like a bunch of songs by High Dive Heart and was stoked this one could fit on the list! I love it because I'm a senimental sap at heart and the whole song is a nostalgic dream of what made our childhood before we grew up and had to tackle the real world.
That's why they call e'm the good ole days Taking on the world cause we weren't afraid Jumping off rooftops in our skates Cause we didn't know we could break If I knew then, what I know right now I would've stayed on the playground I left my heart in the lost and found I should've stayed on the playground
L Life On Mars: David Bowie
Another Bowie song? YES! When I play his legacy album and get to this one I often have to put it on single song repeat for a while.
Sailors fighting in the dance hall Oh man, look at those cavemen go It's the freakiest show Take a look at the lawman Beating up the wrong guy Oh man, wonder if he'll ever know He's in the best selling show Is there life on Mars?
U Unapologize: Carrie Underwood
I am a romantic so of course I'm going to love this song.
I unapologize I meant every word Won't take back the way I feel about you Can't unsay what you heard
'Cause you heard me right, and I won't try To fight 'em back or hide my feelings for you I unapologize
M Monster Under My Bed: Bebe Rexha
You know that song The Monster sung by Eminem and Rihanna? Well Bebe Rexha wrote it! I love her solo version, not to rain on the rap version obviously, but I love her early music.
In a world so black and white Out of place and out of my mind Woke up and I realized Imperfection is divine
B Babe: Taylor Swift
So I heard the Sugarland version featuring Taylor Swift, loved it, adored the music video! Then Red (Taylor's Version) came out and I learned she actually wrote it? I love it.
I'm here on the kitchen floor You call, but I won't hear it You said no one else We ain't getting through this one, babe I break down every time you call We're a wreck, you're the wrecking ball You said no one else This is the last time I'll never call you, babe
O On Melancholy Hill: Gorillaz
I heard this one first when playing Life is Strange 2 and I love it. The rhythm is soothing to my brain.
Where you can't get what you want But you can get me So let's set out to sea, love 'Cause you are my medicine When you're close to me
B Brave, Honest, Beautiful: Fifth Harmony ft Meghan Trainor
I was never obsessed with Fifth Harmony but during university I did have a rough time and there was a bunch of their singles I'd listen to on loop to lift my spirits. This was one.
You can dance like Beyoncé You can shake like Shakira 'Cause you're brave, yeah You're fearless and you're beautiful, you're beautiful
So whine like Rihanna Go and pose like Madonna 'Cause you're brave, yeah You're honest and you're beautiful, you're beautiful, girl

Taylor swift X Simbar
Song recommendation that sound like simbar?
Oooh baby, you've come to the right place. *cracks knuckles* Actually, I have a Spotify playlist for Simbar that includes many Taylor songs.
The Archer: Who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay? / All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put me together again, 'cause all of my enemies started out friends, help me hold on to you / They see right through me, do you see right through me? I see right through me. Basically, I feel like this would be Ámbar during season 2, right at her worse moment and wondering if it would be okay to hang on to Simón.
King of my heart: The beginning of Simbar. Almost all the lyrics apply, but I'll put some here: I made up my mind, I'm better off being alone, we met some weeks ago, now you try on calling me 'baby' like trying on clothes / 'Cause all the boys in their expensive cars and their range rovers and the jaguars never took me quite where you do / AND ALL AT ONCE YOU ARE THE ONE I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR, KING OF MY HEART, BODY AND SOUL / IS THIS THE END OF ALL THE ENDINGS? MY BROKEN BONES ARE MENDING WITH ALL THESE NIGHTS WE'RE SPENDING / SAY YOU FANCY ME NOT FANCY STUFF, BABY ALL AT ONCE THIS IS ENOUGH
(BASICALLY THE ENTIRETY OF REPUTATION IS SIMBAR CODED, OKAY? I'VE SAID IT BEFORE AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN. REPUTATION IS ÁMBAR'S ALBUM)
This is just a feeling, but I love to associate Today Was a Fairy Tale to right after their first date <3 My babies were so happy that day🥹 ❤️(WHY DIDN'T IT LAST, GOD DAMN IT😭)
THE ULTIMATE SIMBAR SONG AND I WILL FIGHT WHOEVER SAYS OTHERWISE IS 'CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT'
They took the crown but it's all right / all the liars are calling me one, nobody's heard from me for months, I'M DOING BETTER THAN I EVER WAS / cause my baby's fit like a daydream, walking with his head down, I'm the one he's walking to, so call it what you want, yeah, call it what you want to / ALL MY FLOWERS GREW BACK AS THORNS, WINDOWS BOARDED UP AFTER THE STORM, HE BUILT A FIRE JUST TO KEEP ME WARM❤️❤️ / and I know I make the same mistakes every time, bridges burn, I never learn, AT LEAST I DID ONE THING RIGHT. I DID ONE THING RIGHT / I'm laughing with my lover, making forts under covers, trust him like a brother, yeah you know I did one thing right (This line literally inspired chapter 22 of Roads That Cross) / starry eyes sparkling up my darkest nights
Long Story Short: I fell from the pedestal, right down the rabbit hole, long story short it was a bad time, pushed from the precipice, clung to the nearest lips, long story short it was the wrong guy (Benicio), now I'm all about you <3 / When I dropped my sword, I threw it in the bushes and knocked on your door / No more keeping score now I just keep you warm / Past me, I wanna tell you not to get lost in these petty things, and he's passing by, rare as the glimmer of a comet in the sky, and he feels like home, if the shoe fits walk in it everywhere you go.
Snow on the Beach (the beginning of their story) / Sweet Nothing (post canon) / The Great War (The entirety of season 3 basically ksdjnf. 'You drew up some good faith treaties, I drew curtains closed, drank my poison all alone, you said I had to trust more freely...')
Hope you liked this, anon! 💜

Oh this is even better, she’s going to get picked up and she’s going to appreciate it and press a few kisses to his skull, trilling loudly as she wraps her arms (And tail-) around him.
“How have you been my sweet prince?”
hopefully well, if not well, she’s going to make it well.

A Princess. A Queen. A Wife. A Mother.
Tumblr media
Medieval AU
Princess Y/N Stark of York New must marry a man chosen by her brother, by the time she is 21. Her brother's council have the perfect man in mind, one that is terrifying and hell bent on having his Queen. But Princess Y/N's heart belongs to another, and luckily so does her hand in marriage.
'A princess is far more powerful than a king, my love. You have the power of merging families and kingdoms. You have the power of carrying hopeful heirs to the throne. You have more power than you know...'

Part 1
Sometimes you found yourself wondering if you were living the life you should be.
You never had the chance to build a relationship with your mother, a relationship you were desperate for the older you grew. During childbirth due to her age and complications, she passed away. And for that reason, your father couldn't stand the sight of you. You were his second child and a girl no less, there was no need for you or the loss of his beloved wife and Queen.
Although your father died when you were just five years old, the most part of you was glad of it. You had hardly any memories of him, but you were certain you were unhappy in his presence.
Your older brother and Crowned Prince of York New, Tony, reassured you daily that your father did love you but you never quite believed him. Even when Tony had been crowned the King of York New, you were unsure he was telling the truth. You knew your brother loved you, unlike your father, it showed in his brown eyes that he did.
"It's just you and I, Little Princess." Tony smiled lovingly and softly at you as he brushed away your fallen tears.
You sniffled, burying your face in his chest. "A-Are... Are you... you, go-going to sen-send me a-away?" You sobbed.
Tony sat back on the cold stone floor of the throne room and pulled you into his lap. "No, Little Princess, no! You're going nowhere, you hear? I need you by my side. You're my Queen." He whispered pressing a kiss to your forehead. "You and me, okay? You and me."
~~~~~~~~~~
Years and years of Tony's rein passed by before you knew it, but Tony kept his word. You were by his side. Even when his advisors or council tried to have him send you away, he made it clear that you were going nowhere until you were 21 years old.
Even when he took under his wing a young orphaned boy, Tony made it clear you were staying put.
The kingdom was in chaos. There had been a attack the castle and surrounding villages, but your armies were stronger, powerful, and mighty. You had been locked away in the highest tower to protect you whilst your brother fought bravely alongside his men. They fought day and night, long into the following day.
By the time word was sent for you to be taken down to the throne room, you were fast asleep.
"Princess Y/N," A soft voice whispered as you were shaken awake.
Your small eyes blinked open and looked upon the face of the guard that had been assigned to looking after you. "Happy?" You yawned, rubbing the sleep from your eyes.
Sir Hogan, or Happy as you called the slightly grumpy man, chuckled softly. "Come, Princess, His Majesty as called for you."
"Tony is safe?" You jumped up, running for the door.
You ran as fast as your little eleven years old legs would take you and didn't stop until you reached the large wooden doors of the throne room. The guards opened the door barely in time for you to dash through them.
"Anthony!"
Tony grinned as he bent down and scooped you up in his arms, hugging you close to him as he held the back of your head. "Little Princess, I'm happy to see you."
You giggled pulling back and looking at his scratched and bruised face. "What took you so long?" You pouted.
Chuckles from the King's closest friends and Knights echoed around the room as the man himself placed you back on the floor. "My apologies, My Queen." He bowed to you making you grin. "I have someone for you to meet."
Your brow knitted together, "Oh?... the head of your enemy?"
More laughs echoed as Tony rolled his eyes as he stood. He held his hand out towards Sir James where a little boy about your age stepped out from behind him. "Princess Y/N, I'd like you to meet Peter... We're going to look after him." He smiled.
Your eyes widened a little. "... He's a boy." You pouted.
Tony nodded, "He is."
"You're getting rid of me, aren't you?"
The young boy gasped, shaking his head. "Don't be silly, Princess. Everyone knows you're not allowed to go anywhere."
You scowled at the boy. "I'm never silly..." You folded your arms and looked away.
Sir James rolled his eyes with a scoff. "Definitely your sister." He muttered so only the King could hear.
Tony shot his friend a glare. "Little Princess," Tony knelt in front of you. "This boy's family was... killed. He had no parents already, but his Aunt died tonight. There was no one left to look after him, the village was, practically destroyed... What would you have me do? Send him away? Let him die?"
You let out a sigh, looking back to Peter. "Do you like horses?"
He nodded, "I like swords too."
Your eyes lit up. "What about bow and arrows?"
Peter nodded, "I'm the best." He said triumphantly, crossing his arms over his chest.
You scoffed, "You haven't seen me, yet."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah."
~~~~~~~~~~
As the years rolled on, your friendship and bond with Peter only grew, as did the council's worries. They decided it was time Tony took a wife and gave the kingdom a Queen once more. Another feeble attempt of them trying to have you sent away. 'It's time you had an heir, there's no need to have the Princess here.' And as he always would do, Tony told them no. You were still the rightful heir to the throne whilst he had no Son and Heir.
You loathed this part of the evening, where one man tried to up the other with gifts, all to impress the King and make himself look superior to others.
Tony leaned over the side of his throne and nudged you, "Look happy, it's your... cow statue, birthday gift." He mocked the gift currently being presented to you, just as bored as you were by the process.
You lowered your face towards your lap and bit back your giggle.
"His Royal Highness, Prince Steven of Brook," The court announcer introduced the next person to present their birthday gift to you.
"King Anthony, Queen Virginia," The blond-haired Prince bowed before you.
"Prince Steven," The King and Queen greeted their friend, happy to see him after so long.
"How are you this evening, old friend?" Tony smiled.
Prince Steven smiled in return, "Very well, thank you, Your Majesty. How are you?"
Tony nodded, "About ready for another drink," He breathed out glancing down to his empty cup.
You let out a small snicker trying to keep up your ladylike facade, knowing Queen Virginia or Pepper as she was known to her close family, would scold you for being improper.
Prince Steven turned his gaze to you and bowed again, "Princess, may I say you're looking breathtakingly beautiful tonight," He teased, knowing how flustered you could get.
You smiled through your blush. "You do flatter me, Prince Steven."
He let out a soft chuckle. "May I present to you my gift?"
"You may,"
Prince Steven nodded and turned his attention to the servant waiting patiently. He took a velvet square box from the young boy and approached you. "Happy Birthday, Princess." He smiled softly at you as he handed you a box and took your hand in his and bowed to you. "I hope you find it as beautiful as I do. My only fear is, your beauty will outshine and render it ugly." He pressed his lips against your knuckles and made you blush once more.
"You're engaged, remember, Prince Steven," Tony teased, glancing over to the brunette woman who was watching the interaction like a hawk.
"Anthony," Queen Virginia scolded your brother from his other side, putting a smile on your face.
"Please ignore my brother, Your Highness... Fool," You hissed playfully at the King beside you, making him chuckle.
Prince Steven stepped back with his hands up to show no hard feelings. "I know what His Majesty can be like, Princess." He chuckled softly, "Please, open your gift, and ignore his Royal Majesty the fool." Prince Steven grinned mischievously.
Tony scoffed dramatically, making you giggle before you opened the velvet box carefully and immediately gasped, "Oh, my," You ran your fingers over the beautiful necklace that laid inside.
Tumblr media
"Prince Steven, this is most beautiful." You smiled, memories of your first time in Brook rushing back to you.
Prince Steven let out an audible sigh of relief. "Is it the same colour? As the sea in Brook."
You nodded, looking up to meet his waiting gaze. "...Yes. Thank you,"
Prince Steven smiled, "You're welcome, Princess. I'll allow you to get back to your other guests." He bowed again, "Happy 16th Birthday, Princess," He whispered before he left to be by his fiance's side.
The guests continued to present their gifts to you and the King, and although they were all unique and beautiful in their own way none were as beautiful and meaningful as Prince Steven's.
"His Royal Highness, Prince Brock of Lower East,"
Your blood ran cold and the great hall fell silent at the mention of that man's name. The dark-haired Prince smirked as he approached you, his hands clasped behind his back.
"Your Majesties," He bowed (if that's what you could call it) to your King and turned his attention to you. "How beautiful you look tonight, Princess Y/N."
You held your head high keeping your gaze fixed ahead of you. "Thank you,"
Prince Brock turned his attention to Tony, "I do hope you've taken my request into consideration, Your Majesty."
Tony's brow knitted together. "There's no need, Prince Brock. My sister is not of age yet and, I'm sorry to say this but you are not who I intend for her to marry."
You gasped loudly drawing the attention of those closest to you, turning in your throne to gape at your brother. "Tony, please-"
He held his hand up to silence you, "Present your gift to the Princess, and we'll discuss no more of this business."
"Very well." Prince Brock nodded with a tightly set jaw as he clicked his fingers at the servant. He snatched the much smaller box from the shaking boy's hands. "It seems somewhat pointless now." He stepped forwards and placed the box in your hands, letting his fingers graze yours. "But, I will buy you a thousand and more if it means you becoming my wife."
"I said, enough!" Tony slammed his fist against the armrest of his throne, it echoed around the silent hall.
"Please, my love," Queen Virginia placed a comforting hand on her husband's arm to calm him.
You scowled down at the box, opening it to find a hideous engagement ring. "I can not accept this-"
"You must. It is your birthday gift... nothing more, thanks to your King."
"Thank you, Prince Brock," You thanked him before Tony could speak, sensing he would most likely order his head to be off or something to that effect. You sighed as you closed the box up, handing it back to the servant. You smiled kindly at him and thanked him.
Prince Brock eyed you before glancing over to where Prince Steven was stood with his fiance and his trusted best friend and Knight, Sir James Barnes. "You know, it's almost unfortunate, you being here tonight."
"I'm afraid I don't follow, Prince Brock. How can my 16th birthday celebrations be unfortunate?" You scowled at the man.
"Well... on one hand, we are graced with your ever-growing beauty and charm, but if it was not for the unfortunate death of your father and King, brought on by those... we shall not mention, you would not be sat where you are." He smirked triumphantly as you visibly paled at the mention of your father.
You felt Tony shift beside you and out the corner of your eye, you saw Sir James begin to disappear away from prying eyes. Anger boiled up inside you, "HOLD YOUR TONGUE!" You shouted and raised to your feet before Tony could stop you. Silence fell over the court as you glared daggers at the prince before you. "How dare you, speak of my father? How dare you show my family and I disrespect, in our own Castle, our own Kingdom.
"The past is the past, Prince Brock, and we do not judge others today by the actions and misunderstandings of others then," You turned and moved over to the servant snatching the Prince's gift back. "If you can not show my family and I the respect we deserve and can only continue to spit evil among our celebrations then I must ask you to leave, Prince Brock, and take your unwanted gift back." You heavily dropped it into his hand.
Silence resumed throughout the great hall as King Anthony stood from his throne and stood behind you. "You heard the Princess, Prince Brock. Leave." He nodded his head towards nearby guards. "Please escort Prince Brock out of the Castle and our Kingdom." Tony placed his hand on your shoulder as the Prince was removed.
"You'll regret this, Stark!"
Once Prince Brock had been removed, you moved over to where Sir James Barnes was stood with Prince Steven and his fiance, hoping the celebrations could continue.
"Sir James, would you care to dance?" You smiled kindly up at him.
Sir James began to blush and glanced to Prince Steven who was being tugged closer by his fiance. "Shouldn't you be asking one of the princes to dance, Your Highness?"
"There'll be plenty of time for that, Sir James. But for now, I would like to dance with a kind man, I hope will be a good friend of mine one day." You smiled.
Sir James began to grin before he nudged Prince Steven's side. "Tough luck, Princey." He jabbed at the blond prince making you smile.
Prince Steven chuckled, "Have fun, Bucky." Prince Steven smiled warmly at you with a nod. "Princess,"
You nodded, "Prince Steven," You looked to his fiance with a faux smile, "Princess Margret."
Sir James lead you into the middle of the crowd as the music began to play, and slowly the two of you began to move together.
The two of you danced in comfortable silence until Sir James cleared his throat, "I must thank you for your kind and brave words, Your Highness." Sir James whispered.
"They were the truth, Sir James."
He nodded, "Still. I know what my father did all those years ago, isn't the easiest thing to forgive."
You shook your head. "But it doesn't reflect the person you are." You smiled up at him. "You're a good man, Sir James... a far better man than Prince Brock." You reached up and pressed a kiss to his cheek before excusing yourself and left through the french windows with Peter.
"Buck?" Prince Steven approached the brunet knight. "Everything okay?"
Sir James nodded and turned to face his best friend and Prince of Brook. "More than, Your Highness."
"You seem to be getting on very well with the Princess, James." Princess Margret spoke from beside her fiance with a hidden look.
Sir James nodded, "She's a very kind young princess, Your Highness."
Prince Steven nodded, "That she is, Bucky." He smiled as he turned to watch you walk out of sight into the gardens.

That I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk
You should think about the consequence
Of your magnetic field being a little too strong”
“You're so cool, it makes me hate you so much (I hate you so much)”
“And you should think about the consequence
Of you touching my hand in the darkened room (dark room, dark room)
If you've got a girlfriend, I'm jealous of her
But if you're single that's honestly worse
'Cause you're so gorgeous it actually hurts
(Honey, it hurts)”
“Whisky on ice, Sunset and Vine
You've ruined my life, by not being mine
You're so gorgeous
I can't say anything to your face
'Cause look at your face”
3. Wilmon—Wilhelm x Simon (Young Royals)

Daylight— Lover
“I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you
I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you
I've been sleeping so long in a 20-year dark night
And now I see daylight, I only see daylight”
“Luck of the draw only draws the unlucky
And so I became the butt of the joke
I wounded the good and I trusted the wicked
Clearing the air, I breathed in the smoke”
“I once believed love would be (burning red)
But it's golden
Like daylight, like daylight
Like daylight, daylight”

This Love— 1989
“Clear blue water
High tide came and brought you in
And I could go on and on, on and on, and I will
Skies grew darker
Currents swept you out again
And you were just gone and gone, gone and gone”
“Your kiss, my cheek
I watched you leave
Your smile, my ghost
I fell to my knees
When you're young, you just run
But you come back to what you need”
“This love is good
This love is bad
This love is alive back from the dead, oh, oh, oh
These hands had to let it go free, and
This love came back to me, oh, oh, oh”
5. Leatin—Leah x Fatin (The Wilds)
Tumblr media
Peace— Folklore
“Our coming-of-age has come and gone
Suddenly the summer, it's clear
I never had the courage of my convictions
As long as danger is near
And it's just around the corner, darling
'Cause it lives in me
No, I could never give you peace”
“And you know that I'd swing with you for the fences
Sit with you in the trenches
Give you my wild, give you a child
Give you the silence that only comes when two people understand each other”

I'd give you my sunshine, give you my best
But the rain is always gonna come if you're standing with me”

“The bottom's gonna drop out from under our feet
I'll catch you, I'll catch you
When people say things that bring you to your knees
I'll catch you
The time is gonna come when you're so mad you could cry
But I'll hold you through the night until you smile”

Long Story Short— Evermore
“And I fell from the pedestal
Right down the rabbit hole
Long story short, it was a bad time
Pushed from the precipice
Clung to the nearest lips
Long story short, it was the wrong guy”
“Actually
I always felt I must look better in the rear view
Missing me
At the golden gates they once held the keys to
When I dropped my sword
I threw it in the bushes and knocked on your door
And we live in peace
But if someone comes at us
This time, I'm ready”
“No more keepin' score now
I just keep you warm (keep you warm)
No more tug of war now
I just know there's more (know there's more)”
“Now I'm all about you (and now)
I'm all about you, ah (and now)
I'm all about you (and now)”

History Bites Special: The Six Queens
Tumblr media
This is the first in a long line of posts where I pick the best moments of history and the antics historical figures in order to give you inspiration for your WIP. Think of History Bites like prompts, only juicer and 90% accurate (results may vary) as I regale you with interesting tidbits about
On this day, Henry VIII died. Unlike last year, I won't be remembering Henry. We will be remembering the Queens and their achievements.
Katherine of Aragon was the daughter of Isabella of Castile, a power Queen Regnant. She lived to see the fall of the Moorish Empire in Spain and the treasures of the East Indies brought back by Christopher Columbus.
Katherine was almost wrecked at sea in her first journey to England. They fleet turned back and the second journey got her safely to England. The first thing she did was attend mass. During her journey, the King, Henry VII decided to go visit her early actually bursting into her chambers to see her.
After her first husband died, Katherine was proposed as a wife to his brother Henry. Her father refused to pay out her dowry, so the wedding was put off for years and years leaving Katherine in poverty as the King of Aragon and King of England basically had a pissing contest. Katherine sold off jewels in order to eat.
When Henry VIII went off to fight in France (another male ego pissing contest that achieved nothing), Katherine handed Scotland its biggest defeat in history. She led troops at Flodden, winning a battle where the Scottish King died. When she wrote to Henry as well as sending him the Scottish king's coat and banners, she mentioned that she had wanted to send the body of the king but the nobles were being pussies and said no. It may have been the shadiest letter of all the Tudor period.
Henry was actually terrified of what Katherine could do. When yelling at one of his advisers, he admitted that Katherine had a chance of beating him in battle. Katherine never did don armour and trample Henry in battle. A shame.
Anne Boleyn was two. Anne was raised abroad in the courts of France and the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, she served the shrewd Margaret of Austria who was fond of her. When Anne returned to English court, she was considered a catch because she was so clever and worldly.
Anne did catch the eye of another man, Henry Percy the son of the Duke of Northumberland. The two were deeply in love and it was rumoured that Percy was going to put aside his father's choice and marry Anne. Cardinal Wolsey broke it up and Anne was banished.
Anne was rather a deft hand at creating catchy and shady mottos. Her first was "Ainsi sera, groigne qui groigne,” which means “Grumble all you like, this is how it’s going to be".
Anne was quite sharp at times. She had her aunt, sister and the King's best friend banished from court. She wore yellow after hearing that Katherine of Aragon was dead, in a mockery of the Spanish mourning tradition. She ordered that the Princess Mary be stripped of her title and serve her own daughter as a maid.
Anne as quite determined. She held Henry off for seven years before agreeing to sleep with him, she stood up to him and the powerful men of the kingdom whenever they went against her and she saw the foundations of the Church of England being laid down due to her influence.
Anne also had a dog named Purkoy, who she adored. When the dog died, Henry had to tell her himself and she was distraught.
Jane Seymour was next. Jane is really debased as being pliant and rather dull when compared to Anne but Jane could be just just as bitchy. On the day Anne walked the scaffold to her death, Jane picked out her wedding clothes.
Jane reconciled Princess Mary and Henry. She acted as a catalyst in bringing them together. Henry yelled at her but in the end she had her way.
Jane begged for mercy for the rebels in the Pilgrimage of Grace. It was rather a ballsy move but she stuck to her guns until Henry reminded her of Anne's execution.
Anne of Cleves was four. Anne grew up in the Duchy of Cleves, her brother being the Duke and a member of the Protestant League. Anne was Henry's last choice of bride as he wanted a French Princess but they told him fuck off so his advisor Cromwell sent Hans Holbein, the court painter to paint the infamous portrait. Henry saw the picture and decided to marry her.
Like his father, Henry couldn't wait to see the bride. Dressing in disguise, Henry went to see Anne. He pressed a kiss on her and she recoiled. She hadn't a clue who he was. Henry left rather wounded, yelling that she looked like a horse and smelled bad.
Anne was oblivious that Henry was working against their marriage from day one. When speaking to her ladies, it became clear that nothing went down in the bedchamber. When she was sent away for her health, she was utterly flummoxed by a letter stating that their marriage was at an end. Anne wept but then picked herself up and took Henry to the cleaners. She got estate after estate from him and became the richest woman in England.
She survived all the Queens and Henry, living to see Mary I's ascension even riding in the coronation procession. She was particularly fond of Princess Elizabeth, even teaching her how to make pancakes so Elizabeth could care for herself.
Catherine Howard was five. She was just a child when Henry decided to chase her. He was not the first old sack of shit to molest (yes, it was. He and M*nnox were fucking wrong. Don't gimme that shit about the times.) Catherine was maid in waiting to Anne of Cleves when she was noticed by Henry. See a pattern here? And Catherine was Anne Boleyn's cousin to boot.
Catherine is usually portrayed as a flighty woman but in reality, Catherine could be quite kind. When hearing that old Countess Pole was in a draughty cell in the Tower, Catherine paid for clothes to be made for her to keep her warm.
When Catherine was in the Tower, she asked for the block to be brought to her so she could practice her execution. Before the axe fell, Catherine was rumoured to cry out, "I die a queen but I would rather die the wife if Culpepper," who was her alleged lover. It is probably myth but one can't help but wish she said it as a last fuck you to Henry.
Kathryn Parr was the last and certainly not least. She had been wed twice before Henry, her last husband dying only a few months before Henry began making eyes at her. Kathryn wanted to marry Thomas Seymour but out of duty married the King.
Kathryn ruled as Regent when Henry went off to France for ego reasons. She brought all the royal children together, mothering Elizabeth and Edward and acting as ally to Mary. She managed to convince Henry to reinstate the Princesses to the succession making them princesses again.
Kathryn was a reformer and scholar. She penned the first novel published by a woman in England. She studied theology, listening to sermons by the controversial preacher Anne Askew. Henry didn't like Kathryn questioning his opinions and drew up a warrant for her arrest. The warrant somehow found its way to Kathryn and she immediately went to Henry and began to repent all her "offenses" (her having an opinion). Henry forgave her. Kathryn was the only queen to survive Henry's displeasure and cling on to her position.

The Archer is Taylor’s Best Track 5 — an Analysis
This song is an anxiety paranoia attack set to music. The song begins with her choosing to take up arms and fight. Saying she’s ready for it. Then she backs out as her mind starts to go through this split of what do I want? Do I even know?
“Combat, I'm ready for combat/ I say I don't want that, but what if I do?/ 'Cause cruelty wins in the movies/ I've got a hundred thrown-out speeches I almost said to you
Then she goes into this back and forth of how her thoughts switch sides nonstop. She sings about these opposite actions. It sounds like an inability to trust your decision making. Come and go. Jump from the train or ride off. Never growing up vs. getting old.
“Easy they come, easy they go/ I jump from the train, I ride off alone/ I never grew up, it's getting so old”
Then she ends with the heart of this indecision:
“Help me hold onto you.”
Then we get this chorus that explains the issue. She’s played both sides. And built this front or guard of being safe in this narrative. Who could ever leave me? But she draws the distinction with a similar phrase. Why would someone stick around for this game.
“I've been the archer/ I've been the prey/ Who could ever leave me, darling?/ But who could stay?”
The second verse is her choosing a side and going through the thought process of how this has played out in the past and the potential outcome. She paints the picture of where she’s been trying to get away from which is her dark side. But then she asks herself if it’s worth it to search for darkness in someone else just so I can hold onto my anger? She then walks through what it does to her. How it affects her negatively and how she has to live with those decisions made out of spite.
“Dark side, I search for your dark side/ But what if I'm alright, right, right, right here?/ And I cut off my nose just to spite my face/ Then I hate my reflection for years and years”
She then goes through how she’s been losing sleep over this and how living in this place of indecision has left her feeling trapped like a ghost that can’t rest until their wrongs have been righted. She says the room is on fire as though it started without warning. A fire that starts as embers in the background. And before she knew it engulfed her space. And those who she once looked up to who allowed that fire to trap them ended up dying alone because no one could of would want to be trapped in or around that for long. Your person either can’t get in fully or if they are in they are choking on the invisible smoke.
“I wake in the night, I pace like a ghost/ The room is on fire, invisible smoke/ And all of my heroes die all alone”
She ends this train of thought with the same plea. This time begging for the dark side or shadows not to take over:
“Help me hold onto you”
Then we get the chorus again where she’s “screaming who could ever leave me, darling?” Almost like she’s cracking under the pressure.
Then we get the full brunt of this breakdown. Where her paranoia is saying if I know I’m faking they must know I’m faking. They see through my charade they must see through it. But it ends with her admitting that she sees through it and she can’t project that feeling on to other people.
“(I see right through me, I see right through me)/ 'Cause they see right through me/ They see right through me/ They see right through/ Can you see right through me?/ They see right through/ They see right through me/ I see right through me/ I see right through me”
Then we get the Humpty Dumpty reference. Where she describing what happened after she fell. This fall is what led to this breakdown. And now she’s admitting how much it damaged her. They could not put her back together again because she has no clue who she can trust. The pieces can’t fit together the same way. It changes you when the reason for your fall is because you leaned on a wall that you thought would support you.
“All the king's horses, all the king's men/ Couldn't put me together again/ 'Cause all of my enemies started out friends”
And once again she hopes saying this - admitting the trust issues - will be enough to get someone to understand how hard it is to love a broken person who has trouble admitting that they see you as a support system they don’t want to lose.
“Help me hold onto you”
Then the final chorus and outro is the truth it’s the final breaking down of the walls. It’s showing the bravado and by saying no one can handle me then admitting you see through your bullshit. And finally showing how insecure you are that no one would want to stay but finally looking for someone else to stay. Letting someone else in. And ending the song the way you started it. By being ready to fight your inner demons.
“I've been the archer/ I've been the prey/ Who could ever leave me, darling?/ But who could stay?/ (I see right through me, I see right through me)/ Who could stay?/ Who could stay?/ Who could stay?/ You could stay/ You could stay/ You/ Combat, I'm ready for combat”
Bonus tidbit:
The use of “darling” in the Archer gets used as a call back in peace
“Who could ever leave me, darling?”
“I never had the courage of my convictions/ As long as danger is near/ And it's just around the corner, darling/ 'Cause it lives in me/ No, I could never give you peace"
This song opens with a call back to the dark place anxiety takes her. And how her desire to control situations and narratives will not go away. Why would anyone put up with this secret life is question in peace. While them choosing to stay and the guilt that comes from that is the crux of the Archer.
Would it be enough if I could never give you peace?
Who could stay? You could stay. Help me hold onto you.
Such a great song. I love when Taylor focuses on her mental struggles because it feels more vulnerable than singing about love.
An alternative interpretation for the archer and peace is that she’s singing to herself. The you is her.

The flaps of Hero's tent flapped in the wind, distracting him slightly from the task at hand. The commander was testing his strategy; he was testing all of the mens' strategy, trying to figure out who might gain his own title when he retired- if he ever retired.
Hero picked the tip of his finger up off of the map, replacing it with another finger on his other hand while he moved his first to the right side of the parchment. The commander was wanting to expand to the eastern part of the lands. Problem was the number of geological obstacles: craters, hills, ponds, and mushy swamp-like areas galore.
Sighing, Hero threw his head back. It seemed impossible. He eyed the blue flag closest to his right finger, picked it up, and threw it over the shoulder. There, he thought, Get rid of the bloody pond. If only it worked that way.
There were three blue flags, all within several hundred meters- realistically speaking- of one another. Very little room for our legions. Hero debated whether or not to fight on horseback. As great and obedient as the horses were, they were large and clumsy in close proximity. With little space, there was too much room for error. So no horses. That fixes that problem.
One yellow flag. The marshes. A big ole stretch of hard-to-walk-through mush, at least for a human. So yes to the horses. Or no? God, I don't know. The swampish lands would result in more army and artillery men's deaths than if a few horses fell into the ponds. Keep the horses. And that would allow for the use of their bows, which would presumably be an advantage.
The horses will require resting breaks. What would happen if they exhausted a bunch of them? Men would have to walk, which would exhaust them. That was better than all of the men exhausting themselves at least.
Hero bounced a fist off the table. This was so frustrating. He thought, now, maybe he wasn't cut out to serve under the commander's- and certainly not the king's- name. But he had to. Because fighting was all Hero could do. He wasn't good at anything else, but if he failed in this test of strategy, he was done for. He'd be demoted, become one of those scavengers of the army who were responsible for picking up dismembered body parts and burning them. How disgusting. How lowly. How vile.
"You kept the dagger."
Hero gritted his teeth together, jaw askew. He didn't need to turn to know who that was. "Yeah? It's my dagger. Just because you stole it from me then gave it back doesn't mean it hasn't always been mine. Of course I kept it."
The tent flaps were quiet, Hero realized. Villain must have been holding them still. It was with this information that he began reaching for his dagger, saying as a distraction of sorts, "Do you remember Grandad?"
Villain laughed. "Don't try to settle me with your old stories. I don't care about them anymore."
"You used to." Hero swallowed, adjusting the handle of his dagger until it felt just right.
Spiders crawled up his spine to the base of his skull. He spun, dagger held with the blade outward. This hadn't been his plan. First, Hero's plan had been to launch the dagger at the wooden tent post, just close enough to scare Villain. But now he was in front of him.
"Cute," his younger brother commented, and pushed Hero's wielding hand aside. "But I have my own." He hummed. "You give into me so easily. You ought not to, for your own sake. To me it's fascinating, but who knows when I might actually decide to slit your throat?" It was with this that Villain brought his own dagger to Hero's neck. "And what would you ever do to stop me? You already had the chance to both throw a blade at me and stab me with it. You've done neither."
Hero rolled his eyes. Villain was shorter than him which only aided in the harshness of the sharp dagger on his neck. His brother was pushing up at a cruel angel, one that Hero had to avoid swallowing against.
"What do you want me to tell you? You're right, okay? You're right. I have guilt and I hoped that I'd never see you again because of it. But you're alive." He took a breath. "It's up to you what you do with your life from here. You can chase me around crazily as you have been, thus driving me to continue ignoring you every chance I get. Or," Hero ventured, "we can work on reestablishing what lost relationship we had."
The knife cut in. Hero squeezed his eyes shut, let his nostrils flare. A warm trickle slid down his neck into his uniform. "You might not want to maim a trusted person of the Guard and Commander."
"Oh, I don't think that matters much." Villain cocked his head to the side, peering at the map left on the table behind Hero. "If anything, I'd replace you. The Commander likes tough boys, isn't that still right?" He sighed. "I know I overstayed my two weeks in the woods, but well..." Villain laughed. "After a wolf tore my friend and a six year old child apart before eating them, the woods actually welcomed me. I'd tell you where I stayed, but I promised the boys I wouldn't compromise them."
Hero's breath caught. "Some of them still live in the woods?" He tried to pull back, away from the blade, but Villain pushed it forward as Hero pulled back.
With a shrug, Hero's younger brother- who had been gone, presumably dead, for five years said, "Sure. Not all of them felt like returning to a place that couldn't accept them as they were. They found new families, ones that fought to keep them alive. They became brothers to one another."
"How poetic." Hero scoffed. "They should be brought back. They're not safe out in the woods."
The dagger slashed through the air, away from Hero's neck, but not straying at all from his shoulder. Hero hollered out, but Villain clamped a hand over his mouth before anyone else could hear. Not that it mattered. Like Villain said before, the worst that could happen was Hero lost his position, which Villain certainly didn't mind. Still, he wanted to torture his older brother this way for a little longer before he did anything too drastic.
"Funny," Villain spat, stance like a cobra ready to strike. "You didn't say that when you led us all to the woods before. Do you know how old the youngest was?" His voice was venom.
"Six."
"No, that's just the one who died. My friend who was also killed by the wolf was sixteen- just to give you a little perspective."
"Five, then."
"Three or four." Villain explained, "He didn't even know his own age." And then he turned to blame, "You left him in the woods. You took him away from his family, and you are the reason he's going to grow up always overexerting himself to please others, only to feel like he's never enough."
Villain bit his tongue to stop himself, but then said it anyways. "I'll be surprised if he doesn't kill himself in three or more years. He feels like a disappointment to himself, Hero, because a man he was supposed to look up to told him he wasn't enough and then sent him off into the woods- where he watched every horrific image you can think up happen."
"I don't know what you want from me!" Hero roared, and this time he finally did move to fully strike a blow on his brother. He shoved his shoulders hard enough that Villain nearly fell on his bottom.
Lucky for Villain, he was able to balance himself out before that could happen.
"I'm sorry, alright! I'm sorry that I failed the four or five of you-"
"Seven of us."
"-and that I was too cowardice to see for myself if you lived or died. I'm sorry. But I can't do anything to fix it except offer myself to you now. So that's what I'm doing, Villain. I'll be a better brother this time around. If you're looking for something, some sort of closure though...you're not going to find it another way. Because no matter how much you torture me, you'll never be satisfied knowing that I left you. That I created memory after memory with you just to leave you to packs of vicious wolves and hungry, lonesome bears.
"I fucked up, Villain, I know I did. But I can't fix it now. I was- and am still- just as scared as you were in those woods. Different scenario, but same, same hot-coaled fear. I'm sorry I wasn't as brave as I made myself sound. I wanted to be a role model to you, but I- I don't know, brother." Hero sat on a cot in the tent, put his head in his hands for a moment before looking up again.
"The Commander is a daunting man and I found myself cowering. You haven't seen him, Villain, haven't endured the training he puts us through, or the screaming he does- like we're prisoners of an enemy kingdom and not soldiers of his own. I'm not making excuses for myself; I know I was wrong. I know what I did is unforgivable, but I'm begging you, brother, please-" Hero kneeled, throwing his knees to the floor, tilted his head to the ground with eyes closed "-please try to understand."
A hand landed on Hero's soldier, but he kept his head down. He wished he would have opened them before, for a new pain bloomed in his shoulder. His mouth became gaped and he choked on the feeling, especially as it spread.
Villain twisted the dagger with a sick satisfaction. "I'll understand when you walk yourself into the woods for two weeks."
Twist. A sharp gasp. Ragged breathing.
"When you hear the deep growl of a wolf- deeper and more impactful than thunder."
Another twist. A pained holler and cry.
"When you watch the person who did everything they could to make you feel at home dies as he's immobilized by razor teeth in their leg. And when the teeth finally rip into the throat of a boy who doesn't want to die after minutes of fighting."
A plunge of the dagger. A wordless scream. A limp body- still breathing, but in so much pain that it can't even think of moving- against Villain's leg.
"When you wake up with your own bloodied fists and two piles of bones and drawn out, tattered rags beneath you- because you slept on a branch in a tree to avoid getting eaten yourself. When you spill every ounce of fluid in your body out into a creek because you're so traumatized. When you suffer the way I did...when you spend just the first week in the woods like I did, maybe then I'll try to understand."
As a finish, Villain yanked his dagger from his brother's shoulder and said, "You don't get to keep this one." He wiped the blood off on his pant-leg and walked out.

DAECHWITA •chapter 2
Words counted: 2242
Genre: romance
Pairing: Yoongi x reader
Tumblr media
They moved as one, a sea of black and gold, as if they were just one brain instead of many. The right legs moved in unison and then the left legs. With each step the sound of the boots on the ground was like the warning thunder of a coming storm. Some rode on horses that had the royal crest around their neck. Others rode on empty carriages and others marched on foot. And tied to everyones waist they had their swords and those on foot held a spear in their left hand. Each face was grim against the cool breeze.
They were a short distance from the village, and a man who rode on a black horse held his sword above his head and began chanting. His voice, like an echo in a cave called out to the heavens announcing their arrival.
Another man, short with a moustache behind him with a group of eleven men. He held a large gong that was used in traditional Korean music to keep beat. It was made from high-quality brass and was struck by a stick that had a layer of cloth at one end to soften the tone of the sound. He swung the stick and the song began.
The market was crowded with moving people as if unseeing hands drag them this way and that, pulling their eyes to one thing and then another. They respond in predictable ways, each of them with a goal to achieve for the day. Isabel walked along side Rose down the street when the sound of music reached their ears. And soon, everyone stopped what they were doing.
It came like an earthquake. At first no one moved, their brains became unable to make sense of the input from their ears. The ground felt like it was moving and the noise was like extended thunder. The table rattles like a freight train just passed, "did the king leave the palace?" Rose looked over the crowd on her tip toes, as the music grew more clearer and closer.
Isabel looked around for the king's royal carriage, but instead she was met with an army of black and gold. Immediately thoughts began to flood her head; Were they announcing a wedding, or ball? Was the kingdom under attack? Did the king die? Did Suga carry out his plot?
Her thoughts were cut short when the royal advisor held a scroll in his hand and cleared his throat. "By order of the king," he began. "All woman eligible are to be taken to the royal palace," there was a short pause as he lowered the scroll before speaking again. "By force, if necessary."
A soldier, tall and well built approached a father and his daughter. His jet black hair was like a sweeping tide of obsidian and fell just over his eyes, but you could still see his handsomely carved facial features. He reached his arm out towards the girl, and her father was quick to react. He too caught a soldier's arm. The soldier, with a hardened expression turned to the man and locked eyes with him before he raised his other hand and nudged him with such force that he sent him back a few feet.
"No!" Cried the daughter.
The man chased after his child, who was calling his name, begging for her father to save her. The door of the carriage was held open by another soldier and the girl was thrown in.
The young girl's father placed his hand on the soldier's shoulder and forced him to turn around. "Let her go—"
The soldier grabbed the man by the shirt. "Stay out of it," he hissed.
The royal advisor held back from smirking as he gestured with his head for the soldiers to charge forward. Woman and children were all told to run to safely and out of sight, while the men stood their ground, fighting off the soldiers. But these were trained soldiers with a king that did not know what loosing was in battle, and his army was no different.
Isabel stood still. She had never noticed how time was so much like water; that it could pass slowly, a drop at a time, even freeze, or rush by in a blink. Her brain stuttered for a moment and her eyes took in more light than she expected, every part of her went on pause while her thoughts caught up. After a low breeze washed over her, she realised what was going on around her.
Tables were tossed over, there were women and children crying, a dozen stalls had their items laying on the floor— chaos danced in the air as it laughed wickedly.
And then, like being struck by lightning, Rose felt someone warp their arms around her waist and her feet lifted off the ground. Her heart dropped to her stomach and her blood ran cold. "NO!" She yelled, kicking her feet and pulling at the soldier's hands to release her.
Isabel had forgotten how to breath. Her brain shut down at the sight of her sister being dragged away like all the another young woman. "ROSE!" She bellowed, but before she could as so much move someone caught her arm threw her over their shoulder. "LET ME GO, YOU BRUTE!" She banged her fists on the soldier's back, but that didn't seem to do any harm.
"ISABEL!!"
"ROSE!!!"
The soldier carrying Isabel approached the only carriage with the door wide open and threw her inside. She landed on her back with a thud and just as she sat up the door slammed shut in her face. "LET ME OUT!" She yelled, as she banged her hands on the door. "YOU BASTARDS!!!"
She slammed her hands on the door one more time before turning around to find an escape. And that's when she saw that she wasn't alone. Five other women were in the carriage with her.
••••
The sun sank lower in the sky, light of day draining away, giving way to the velvety dark of night, crickets chirping, dusky, colours subdued in the fading light, first star in the night sky and the air became cooler. Fading light, only the faintest of light shone through the leaves.
The road was bumpy, making the carriage sway side to side, as if it danced to a song only it could hear. Isabel sat against the carriage with her knees up to her chest and her hands resting on her lap. The woman in the carriage seemed to be around the same as her. She watched as they all sat tightly together, their eyes red from crying for so long and dried tears on their cheeks. These women were daughters and sisters ripped away from their families, and immediately she thought of her sister. She would kill anyone who would hurt Rose. Even if it was the king himself.
Isabel exhaled a sigh and looked up at the celling thinking. Where was Suga? Why wasn't he there this morning? Did something happen?
••••
The car came to a harsh stop. His eyes widened in shock as he stepped out. The sight before him looked as though war had broken out. The tables on the floor were being put back up by a few men, as well as the stalls. There were some people crying and other just sat still gazing into the distance with dried tears on their faces.
"What happened?" Namjoon whispered to Suga, who was at loss for words. He didn't know what to do or say in the moment. He was speechless.
"Thank God, you're back." A small and elderly woman approached them and grabbed Suga's hand in a tight grip.
"What happened?" He asked.
He could see fear in her eyes. She lowered her head, the whole scene played before her eyes all over again, causing a shiver to run down her spine. She pause for a moment before speaking. "They attack this morning," she said.
Suga frowned. "They?"
"The king's army," said one man, and making the crowd nod their heads as chatter broke into the air. Suga looked at the people and then at his friends.
"They've taken my granddaughter," the elderly woman said, making Suga look down at her. "Se-ri."
"They took my granddaughter too."
"My sister."
"And my daughter."
Suga rubbed the elderly woman's hand. "Don't worry," he said. "I'll do my best to bring back your granddaughter," there was a short pause as he narrowed his eyes to the crowd. "I'll find a way to get them back."
••••
He slammed his fist on the door for the fourth time while calling her name, but no answer.
They had never seen him like this. Namjoon, J-Hope and Hana exchanged sideway glances at each other. They turned to Suga and almost stepped back. To say that he looked angry and furious would have been an understatement.
"They're not here," said Hana.
Suga rolled the sleeves of his jacket up his elbows, and his right hand caught in his dark locks and then down his face. The anger inside him burned with rage and hissed through his body, like a deadly poison, screeching a demanded release in the form of violence. It was like a volcano erupting; fury sweeping off him like ferocious waves. The wrath consumed like, engulfing his moralities and destroying the boundaries of loyalty.
Namjoon caught him arm just as he walked past him. Suga tugged his arm back and attempted to walked around his friend, but was held back once again.
"You need to calm down—"
"Calm down?!" Suga roared, his eyes blazing with fire. "Move out of my way, Namjoon."
J-Hope and Hana stood still holding their breaths. They watched as Namjoon's expression hardened and they could feel the rage coming from Suga.
Namjoon released Suga with a slight push. "You're not thinking," he said. "Yes, Isabel and Rose have been taken as well, but we cannot just march up to the palace. We need a plan and we need to think it thought. If we don't then we won't only be risking our lives, but the lives of others as well— including Isabel's and Rose's. You don't even have the Jade Key yet."
There was a long pause that lingered in the air. Suga stood in silence, thinking about what Namjoon had just said.
••••
She closed her eyes for a moment when the sound of a small and light sob caught her attention. Her eyes opened and she found herself staring into the corner to her left. She couldn't see well due to the small amount of light in the carriage, but the longer she stared into that corner she could just about make out the outline of a blanket or cloak covering something...someone.
She reached her arm out towards the darkness and her fingers came in contact with a blanket-like material. Just as she was about to see who or what was underneath, a girl with fair skin, blood red lips and raven hair reviled herself.
Isabel quickly pulled her arm back and leaned against the carriage. "Nice hiding spot," she said. The girl's eyes didn't leave Isabel for a single second. She sat up straight and pulled her knees to her chest.
Isabel sat in silence for a moment before speaking again. "What's your name?"
"Se-ri."
"Nice to meet you, Se-ri," Isabel smiled. "I'm Isabel."
"Where are they taking us?" Se-ri asked.
Isabel frowned, maybe she was in shock and forgot the royal advisor's speech. "To the palace," she replied. "I'm not sure why, but it's been ordered by the king."
Se-ri took a deep and heavy breath. "Oh, God," she muttered under her breath. "We're going die. The king will have our heads-"
Isabel grabbed the girl's hand and held it tightly. "That's not going to happen," she whispered. "Alright? We're not going to die."
Just then, the carriage came to a halt and all they could hear were the soldiers chatting amongst themselves. The chatter was muffled and not matter how much Isabel focused on trying to eavesdrop she couldn't make out what they were saying.
The sound of keys rattling made the woman in the carriages move to the back just as the door swung open. "Come on," said the same soldier that threw Isabel over his shoulder. "Get out."
But no one moved. They all sat still and close to each other. The soldier clenched his jaw just as he reached his hand out and grabbed one of the women by the ankle and tugged her forward. "Let's go," he hissed, before he moved to the side and watched as each one of them climbed out of the carriage.
The stone walls surrounding them were waist-high, and there were torches with dancing flames a few steps away from the each other. And next to each torch there was a guard with a spear in his right hand.
Her vision turned to darkness when the soldiers threw black cloaks at them. "Put these on and lower the hoods."  They were  instructed. "Walk," ordered the soldier, as he nudged Isabel but before she could protest, Se-ri squeezed her hand, telling her not to do anything that could get them in trouble. Isabel bit the inside of her cheek and kept her mouth seals for the sake of the girl holding her hand for dear life.

Song Lyric Starter for @asorableisms Song: All the King’s Horses by Karmina
I knock the ice from my bones Sora was gone. That was the truth of the matter and no matter how much she cried or begged for it to change there wasn’t anything Kairi could do. The brown haired boy had become one with the stars themselves. Her starlight was gone, and no amount of trying alter his fate could change that. Sora's fate was set in stone the moment he was left behind. The last Phantom to be collected but ignored. He was utterly isolated and that very decision would cause the boy to suffer. The stars constantly calling the boy back home. Try not to feel the cold “Starlight...” her voice called out, but it was shattered and horse. How many nights had she spent holding his necklace to her chest and crying her eyes out? The girl had barely stopped eating properly. The toll this was taking on her body was pretty clear to Riku and the others. Kairi was killing herself gradually, the fire in her running out. Regardless how much Riku begged the maiden to eat. She refused. A part of her felt lost and empty without Sora here, and the worst part was she blamed herself for this too. Caught in the thought of that time
Tumblr media
‘Kairi, he wouldn’t want to see you doing this to yourself!!’ The red head could recall the specific words Riku shouted her recently. The whitehaired boy was hurting too and seeing another of his friends slowly kill themselves wasn’t soothing the growing pain in his heart. She knew how hard this was on the others but the agonizing pain of losing her starlight just broke her. They can take her heart, capture her world but taking her Starlight away would remain the thing to shatter her. Sora was her home and that was something that would never change no matter what fate tossed at them. However, knowing nothing she could do would bring him back to her just destroyed every ounce of hope she had left. When everything was fine, everything was mine Clenching the crown necklace close to her heart, the girl curled up and sobbed her eyes out. Kairi had been crying so much that her tears had turned to blood. How often had she pushed herself like this? She had honestly lost count ever since the day Sora disappeared in her arms. None of them got how it felt to feel him fade away. The utter pain she feels to know that perhaps she could’ve saved him if only she had noticed sooner but fate always had a way of being cruel. “The moment I believed the two of us could be together...fate takes him away again..” Everything was fine, everything was mine
All the king's horses and all the king's men
The red head found herself looking up to see a star shining up in the sky. The very star she had named after Sora. For the longest time she thought it had faded with him but, now it was clear as day shining down on her.
“Is this your way of telling me to fight...it can’t be. You’re gone..” She whispered, as her love was gone. The person she gave her heart and soul to was no longer apart of this world. Kairi found herself slowly sitting up despite how much her body was aching and shutting down.
Her hand reached out her window and towards the star, as if she hoped to touch it and bring it close to her heart. However, her arm slowly dropped as the tears started to fall again. It didn’t how many things they tried. Sora was in a place that Kairi couldn’t follow.
Couldn't put me back together again
“I love you...Starlight. Please don’t leave me...” She whispered, as the last ounce of strength left her body and she fell to the ground. Red strands of hair covered her eyes as her hand still held the crown necklace close. However, there was a faint glow coming from the necklace. A sign of hope...his heart reaching out to hers no matter the distance.
A starlight calling out to his starfire princess.

Your word for today
WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE SERIES
Key scripture
Ephesians 6:10-18
KNOW YOUR AMOUR # H 2
AMOUR# SEVEN PRAYER
CLASS: DEFENSIVE AND OFFENSIVE
HOW PRAYER BECOMES PART OF THE AMOUR.
Ephesians 6:18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];
Remember we emphasized that the amour of God is something that you put on and in the spiritual this amour is very real.
We also emphasized that this amour is NOT SYMBOLIC BUT A REAL AMOUR FOR A REAL BATTLE.
This amour does not only stand for the things each represents but IT'S A REAL AMOUR.
Now PRAYER IS LIKE A GARMENT THAT BRINGS EVERY PIECE OF THIS AMOUR TOGETHER AND ACTIVATE THEM.
When prayer is used only to get things from God and to solve problems, it is operating at a lower and basic level.
Prayer is more powerful than just getting what we want.
PRAYER CREATES ON YOU SOME KIND OF WEIGHT, OR GLORY, OR BLANKET, OR GARMENT/MANTLE THAT IS NOTICEABLE AND CAN BE FELT.
When you enter a house of a person who lives a life of prayer you can feel, sense and experience this WEIGHT.
When you are in the presence of a person who lives a life of prayer you feel it and sense it.
The queen of England said something like " I fear the prayer of Knox than the armies of England....."
John Hyde (commonly called Praying Hyde) at one conference stood up as a guest speaker and simple said: "My God...."
The heavens were open and he never said another word all morning as the whole congregation was praying enveloped by the presence of God.
One of my niece testified to me how one of her friend who lived a praying life when they were at college had people getting slain in the Holy Ghost just by entering her room or standing at her door.
I have heard people both who don't know me and who know me testify that they could sense the mantle of prayer or grace as they enter or sit in my room.
I personally on several occasions have felt a weight of glory around a man/woman and knew they love spending time with God before I knew they were men/woman of God.
IT IS A LIFE OF PRAYER THAT MAKES YOU A MAN OR WOMAN OF GOD.
IT'S NOT ABOUT YOUR TITLE.
The following are just a few points on how PRAYER becomes part of our AMOUR. (They are many but I choose these just five)
(Note that im talking of a person who lives a life of prayer that is beyond just asking and crying to God)
1. PRAYER CAUSES THE NATURE/GLORY OF GOD TO RUB UPON YOU.
The more time you spend in the presence of God, the more of Him sticks on you.
Moses fasted for a double 40 days back to back.
Imagine 80 days with God.
Just 40 days the Glory of God, the shekinah glory of God was shining upon his face.
I assure you 99 % of the devils you are fighting now will not survive a face shining with the glory of God
Hallelujah!
Exodus 34:28 Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he ate no bread and drank no water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
[29]When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tables of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face shone and sent forth beams by reason of his speaking with the Lord.
[30]When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they feared to come near him.
2. THE AURTHORITY OF GOD RUBS ON YOU.
The power to say and it becomes a command that is obeyed physically and spiritually doesn't come by shouting and screaming.
It's the authority of God manifesting through a human vessel.
Did you notice in the gospels that Jesus casted out demons at a word, not at many words.
To legion, He just said go! And around 2000 plus demons ran for their lives.
Jesus lived a life of PRAYER.
HE DIDN'T JUST PRAY WHEN HE WAS IN TROUBLE.
You need to be clothed with authority.
Apart from the 40 days and 40 nights of prayer and fasting, Jesus daily woke up early and went out to pray then at the close of every day went out to pray.
3. PRAYER ATTRACTS THE MILITARY RESOURCES OF HEAVEN .
Elisha didn't pray for the heavenly army to surround him, they were there because He lived a life of prayer.
He had to pray that the eyes of the servant open so he could see them.
2 Kings 6:16 [Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.
[17]Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man's eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
[18]And when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, Smite this people with blindness, I pray You. And God smote them with blindness, as Elisha asked.
In her book "He came to set the captives free" Rebecca Brown talks of a certain class of Mighty angels she calls LINK ANGELS that surrounds certain believers who live a life of prayer.
She details a scene where just a stance by these angels caused the devil and his army to retreat.
There are people whom the devil can look for all their life and never see them even if they are walking and singing in the open because the army of God has blanketed them.
You need the military resources of heaven at your disposal.
Some of you, you just need one big angel and your battles are over.
4. PRAYER BRINGS YOU A ZONE, RADIUS OR PERIMETER AROUND YOU THAT BECOMES A NO GO AREA AND NON-FLY ZONE FOR THE DEVIL.
When David came to Ramah which was a Place of PRAYER for a Praying people, he came under a zone that Saul couldn't follow.
Every solder sent to arrest David was slain by the spirit of God and prophesied.
When Saul came in person he was hit by the power of God as he put his feet at the borders of Ramah.
1 Samuel 19:17-24
Prayer will deal with your enemies as they set foot on your territory.
The radah of prayer signals a specific power of God to deal with any specific demonic attack whilst you're asleep or busy doing something different at that time.
5. PRAYER PUTS THE JUDGEMENT AND PUNISHMENT OF GOD IN YOUR MOUTH.
Elijah called fire from heaven to destroy all the 49 of the 50 enemy soldiers sent to arrest him only leaving one each time to report back several times until one pleaded with him for mercy.
Imagine 2 times calling fire to destroy 50 demons just leaving one to send to the devil with a message!
Elijah never shouted screamed or jumped up and down to emphasise the fire! "Fiiiirrreeeee"
He spoke and fire came down
2 Kings 1:11 Again King [Ahaziah] sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he said to Elijah, Man of God, the king has said, Come down quickly!
[12 And Elijah answered, If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.
Elisha blinded the whole Syrian army by a simple prayer.
2 Kings 6:18 And when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, Smite this people with blindness, I pray You. And God smote them with blindness, as Elisha asked.
Peter Spoke a rebuke and judgement to Ananias and instantly Ananias breathed his last.
He did the same to Safira and she too followed her husband to the grave.
Acts 5:9 Then Peter said to her, How could you two have agreed and conspired together to try to deceive the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out [also].
[10]And instantly she fell down at his feet and died; and the young men entering found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
You don't have to shout at the top of your voice _"every witch die by fireeeee!"
You just have to say audible "You're joining your ancestors in hell today" and the witch gives up the ghost.
Moses simple said to Dathan and Korah " if I be a man of God no one is going to visit your graves like is done to others"
And the earth opened and these rebellious people were sent to hell instantly and physically with all they possessed.
I don't have time and space to show you the many and uncountable instances in the bible were prayer was demonstrated as an amour on man and women of prayer.
I pray that you will see it in your life as prayer becomes an amour in your life.
May the Lord give you the spirit of prayer that you live a life of Prayer.
Much blessing

“Mm’ it got them to? Bede had gotten it to, Not very badly but i understand the sleepless nights.”
It always made her worry how quickly disease spread underground especially with all three of the boys still being so young...Still she supposed they’d all gotten over it hadn’t they? so instead of continuing to worry, She’s going to quietly walk over to fell and sit on the couch beside him, A nap didn’t sound terrible...but he needed one more so she looked at him and then lightly patted her lap.
“If you feel like a nap then you should, I don’t have anywhere to go for a while anyway.”

“Oh dear, oh my, captain! what has happened to you? you look awful, why are you even on patrol like this?”
Came the soft but worried and flustered words of vita and before fell could say anything, he was being half ushered, half guided into her waterfall home and sat down in a recliner. Her semi-webbed hands already trying to ease the other’s armor off to check for wounds in a practiced fashion, After all even if she didn’t wear armor as a medic. She’d taken plenty off.
“Get this heavy stuff off of you, goodness, you might be a skeleton. But even skeleton’s aren’t invincible.”

“W-well yes!! I don’t...traditionally just..let people see me naked..a-and i know you’ve seen me before...but..b-but i just..oh dear..”
It’s not like she would have any reason to be embarrassed, Fell has seen her naked before and in worse conditions, He even helped her have her son for asgore’s sake! and that was probably the most undignified look of her life...but she couldn’t help it..

“As well as we can, Which isn’t much to say with all of this gaster...I’ve been so tired..”
And there wasn’t much she could do about it either, Even with her decent chunk of magic, Carrying a baby was a heavy strain on any monster’s soul. Their body, Even when they were in a good situation! and the fact her mate was dust made it worse, Both parents were supposed to provide magic towards a new monster, To lessen the strain.
But she didn’t have that. She rested her head on the other’s shoulder. Not minding the hand on her belly, It was comforting to know she had someone by her side, She’s not sure she could have done this alone...
“I wish i could volunteer to, i hate the thought of being separated from you, But there’s so much to do here still.”
