Why do we ADORE Avant garde designer Rocky Gathercole? He is humble, loving and giving of himself. Rocky is always willing to help others.

Rocky believes in his dreams and has made them come true despite difficult odds. He knows, and is LIVING PROOF that you can live your dreams if you just BELIEVE. From humble beginnings he made his way to one of the most sought after” designers of today.

Editor-in-Chief, Sofia Davis says of Gathercole – “He is the SWEETEST person you ever want to meet, he will always have a home on the pages of Fashion Avenue News Magazine”. On September 16, 2016, the Fashion Avenue News team produced the NY FW Rocky Gathercole show, with a full to capacity house by 3:00pm (show time was 7:00) and 1,800 people waiting in line to come in, it was THE SHOW THAT MADE FW HISTORY. That day, Editor-in-Chief, Sofia Davis made a Proclamation that September 16 was Rock Gathercole Day.

Before he made it big, dressing the likes of Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Paris Hilton and Beyonce, Rocky Gathercole was a kid who left home at age 14 for the freedom of the streets.

Though he did not finish high school, he set forth to Saudi Arabia, where his employer helped him become the avant-garde designer he is now.

Mexican singer-actress Thalia has tapped him to create her outfits for her comeback concert , while American pop singer Sia has also chosen him to design a new look for her.

He recalled having to run away from home as he experienced identity crisis and roaming the streets of Manila alone for years. He worked as a helper for a rolling store on weekdays, but having to claw his way through surviving the weekends by himself.

About Art Hearts Fashion Week LA

Over 35 designers from around the world came together at the world famous Beverly Hilton Hotel for Los Angeles Fashion Week to celebrate the art of fashion. The event produced by Art Hearts Fashion and presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation has become the largest fashion platform on the west coast and has established itself as a world-class event.

Opening night featured the debut of “The Gardens” the brand new outdoor area serving as the art gallery and reception space for the event. The Gardens unparalleled beauty set the tone for the week of amazing shows. The 7pm presentation opened with Datari Austin London, followed by Burning Guitars Clothing and wrapping up with SIWY Denim’s debut Disney Collaboration. The 9pm Couture presentation featured 4 world class celebrity designers including Farah Abu, Resty Lagare, Lebanese designer Elie Madi and Rocky Gathercole.

Day two of fashion week featured the perfect mix of ready to wear and European inspired collections. The 5pm presentation opened with Ilava, Marisa Clark and Sanja Bobar followed by Wicked Things Boutique, Dair Design, and Fernando Alberto Atelier at 7pm. The night ended with presentations by Usama Ishtay, Dexter Simmons, and Chalres and Ron. Each brand told a different story while perfectly complimenting each other on the runway to provide guests with an incredible fashion journey.

Day three of fashion week opened with the popular kids designers featuring collections from Wanda Beauchamp, Monnalisa, and Lil Jewels Boutique. The showcase featured celebrity kid models Sofia Wylie, Ava Kolker, Lexy Kolker, Juliet Hanks, Cooper Friedman, Grace Wethor, Sophia Abraham, Khia Lopez and many more. Swimwear collections followed at 5pm with Vichi Swim, E.S. Collection Spain, and Mister Triple X swimwear. The 7pm presentation featured an eclectic mix of styles opening with designer Jonathan Marc Stein followed by Dinkra and a grand finale presentation by Diana Couture X Le Ciel Design. The theatrical showcase featured moving headpieces and mechanical angel wings leaving guests in awe of the creative Indonesian powerhouse designer. Closing out the night were two high energy street wear collections by Michael NGO and Mister Triple X MetalliX collection, the brands each featured dance performances and sexy fashion.

Closing day of Fashion Week opened with swim collections by Honey Bee Swim, Gyv Me Body and Alina Petra followed by a 7pm showcase featuring Rochelle Goodrick, Dog Couture Designer Anthony Rubio and wrapping up with elegant evening gowns by Jovani LA. The spectacular week of fashion culminated with Venezuelan designer Nidal Nouaihed‘s breathtaking “Sinfonia’ collection by Nidal Couture. The show opened and closed with supermodel Edymar Martinez. Arzamendi Style from Mexico followed with a Gatsby inspired party dress collection featuring Swarovski embellishments and an elegant vibe. Closing the event was celebrity designer Laurel Dewitt who’s show featured the brands signature intricate metal work. Guests of the week enjoyed a closing party at the Mondrian Hotels Sky Bar.

Art Hearts Fashion Dominates Miami Swim Week With Sexy Swimwear For A Great Cause!

Miami, FL July 27, 2017) - Art Hearts Fashion kicked off Miami Swim Week at the Funkshion Tent, with Nick Cannon opening the show. The opening night featured 8 designers including: Vichi Swim, The Eight Continent, Grayson Boyd, Courtney Allegra, Hale Bob, Cirone Swim, Elie Madi, and the grand finale by Mister Triple X by Erik Rosete who's show opened with Men's Physique world champion Michal Komosny and closed with Nick Cannon. Guests enjoyed amazing shows, a cocktail reception, and an art presentation by Miguel Paredes. Following the shows guests were invited to the Swim Gala at Ora Nighclub with a performance by Zoey Dollaz. On Friday July 21st the Art Hearts Fashion swim weekend team joined forces with Planet Fashion to produce shows for OMG Bikinis, Karma Bikinis and a closing showcase by DSquared2 at the SLS Hotel. On Saturday July 22nd Art Hearts Fashion closed out its weekend with an epic finale at the SLS Hotel. Art Hearts Fashion kicked off Miami Swim Week at Funkshion’s Collins Park Tents, with Nick Cannon opening the show. The opening night featured 8 designer including: Vichi Swim, The Eight Continent, Grayson Boyd, Courtney Allegra, Hale Bob, Cirone Swim, Elie Madi, and the grand finale presentation by none other than Mister Triple X by Erik Rosete who’s show opened with Men’s Physique world champion Michal Komosny and closing with superstar Nick Cannon. Guests enjoyed amazing shows, a great reception with complimentary sponsored goodies, and an art presentation by Miguel Paredes. Following the shows all guests were invited to the after-party Swim Gala taking place at Ora Nighclub Miami with a special performance by Zoey Dollaz.

The Art Hearts Fashion swim weekend team joined forces with Planet Fashion to produce shows for OMG Bikinis, Karma Bikinis and a closing showcase by DSquared2 at the SLS Hotel South Beach.

On Saturday Art Hearts Fashion closed out its 3 days of shows with an epic finale at the SLS Hotel. The event featured 3 designers at 8pm Du Aqua Swim, Argyle Grant, and Holidolls Luxury Swim. The opening showcase was followed by Gabriela Pires and Just Bones boardwear presented by Planet Fashion. The event wrapped up in an epic manner with Billboard chart topper Dyson opening for the finale presentation featuring Honey Bee Swim, Alina Petra, Courtney Allegra and Rocky Gathercole. Guests enjoyed a closing party at Hyde Beach.

Woody and Amy Michleb led the backstage hair styling team to create a multitude of hairstyles for the Art Hearts Fashion runway using the amazing Style the Runway hair products, Hairdreams extensions and Cliove tools! April Love Pro team created the beauty looks with the help of Rickys NYC, Poise Cosmetics and Bdellium tools. Titos Vodka, La Croix Sparkling Water, Evian, Peroni, Fashion Week Online, and Monster Energy Hydrated the packed house of fashionistas.

The event presented by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation highlighted its #KeepThePromise campaign to promote awareness and safe practices. Other sponsors included: Shibue Couture, Alfa Romeo, T Mobile, In The Weeds Natural Skin Care.
