ok I have so many thoughts where this is concerned but think about the potential a Sara, Kate, and Alex trio has especially as like a ‘mean girls trio’ kind of dynamic but also imagine how unstoppable they would be as a trio of conwomen reluctantly working together but they don’t even like each other they just work together well like au where those three go after the music box together WHEN. they’re such an odd mix of girlbosses and loserwomen that together their dynamic would just be too powerful I know it in my heart
#they’d somehow completely slay and be the biggest losers ever at the same time and I love that for them.#no they mean the world to me and I mean like a more fleshed out version of Kate cause canon Kate is not developed at all#but i could fix that !#these three deserve to be besties like that one very short Alex Sara convo in s2 finale made me go INSANE#Alex x Sara for the win guys#but also if we think about it hard enough Sara x Kate and they’re both always annoyed at Alex but she’s always showing up out of nowhere#Idk there potential there I feel it in my soul#white collar

To make matters worse, Kara herself has undergone a frightening transformation. She refuses to put on the suit, to address any of the public accusations Crane has laid at her feet, and has withdrawn from almost every relationship she has. The people closest to her are starting to worry that she’s cracking under the pressure. The scariest part is, they’re right. Meanwhile, a few hours North of National City in the small farming community of Parthas, Nia Nal has returned home to begin training with her mother as a Naltorian Dream Warrior, but as she begins opening herself up to her powers, she begins to have a disturbing vision of a hellish place inhabited by monsters.
Future Shock Setting Guide - This is a collection of notes and setting details about my Future Shock series. It's not a story, and has no narrative.
Little Girls Lost (Series): Sanvers.
Taking In Strays - Maggie’s dad became the new Sheriff in Midvale after Sheriff Collins is arrested for Kenny’s murder. A few months later, he finds out Maggie is gay and throws her out. Arrowverse Science Fair AU
~2004 National Highschool (Gr. 8-12) Science Fair
Projects:
Felicity Smoak (Gr. 9) – Computer software to detect card counters. She may or may not have hacked into online card games to test it (this wasn’t included in/on her project.)
Cisco Ramon (Gr. 8 or 9) – Piano playing robot. He thought it played better than Dante. His parents didn’t agree.
Caitlin Snow (Gr. 9) – Analysis of physiological response to various stimuli. She wanted to find stimuli that would help kids cope with traumatic experiences (say crashing their bike or losing their father.) If she was able to find something that made her mom show some/any emotion that would be a bonus.
Barry Allen (Gr. 9) – Growing crystals (lots of different and cool ones). His project started out as an attempt to make something special for Iris for her birthday but turned into an elaborate project. It ended up being a good choice because 1) it reminded Barry of his parents (the first science experiment they did together was grow Borax crystals on pipecleaner and 2) it followed Joe’s ‘your science fair project must make, not destroy things’ rule instated after Barry’s Gr. 6 project.
Alex (Gr. 9) and Kara (Gr. 8) Danvers – Birds in my Backyard. Eliza had insisted on Alex getting Kara involved in her science fair project this year. Alex was excited to show Kara the science fair experience she enjoyed but wanted to pick a topic she knew more about that Kara (her knowledge of math and science was intimidating enough without the superpowers). Seeing Kara’s interest in birds they decided to study birds in their backyard. With Alex’s design and Kara’s powers they built tall post’s and attached bird houses and feeders with differing properties. They then monitored which kinds of birds built nests and ate from where (with some help from Kara’s flight and X-ray vision). Alex also picked 5 nests from different species to chronicle the embryo and chick development. Kara enjoyed doing the project and learning about birds from Alex. The actual science fairs, not so much but those were Alex’s favourite part. Note: Streaky was locked in the house for the duration of the project so he wouldn’t eat any of the birds.
Winn Schott (Gr. 11) – Pop-up room/ room in a suitcase. Being in the foster system for the last couple years inspired Winn to design a room that collapsed to the size of a suitcase for easy transport but could expand in less than a minute into a nice-sized, fully-furnished, sound-proof room, so no matter how many times a foster kid was moved around they always had their own space and stuff. Also good for camping, travel and special short-term events (like waiting in line at conventions).
Lena Luthor (Gr. 5) – Oxygen absorbing/releasing crystal that could allow breathing underwater. After her Mum drown when Lena was four, she was determined to develop a simple way for people to breath under water. She was able to do just that by synthesizing a substance that absorbed and stored large amounts of oxygen then released it slowly (so if someone held in in their mouth, they could breathe underwater). She was happy and excited that her mom and older brother were interested in her project but a little frustrated and concerned that they were so focused on its ability to absorb all the oxygen from a room (in a big enough amount). Although she supposed it could be used in that capacity to control/extinguish fires. Note: although in elementary school, Lena got to compete against the high schoolers since her project was so advanced for her age.
Sara Lance (Gr. 11) – The Biomechanics of Dance and Martial Arts. As punishment for skipping classes, then sassing her teacher and principal when they tried to discipline her for skipping classes, Sara had to complete a science fair project. To make the best of it Sara chose something that interested her. In hindsight she wished she hadn’t. Her project was so good she was chosen to represent her school at the state and national science fair.
Ronnie Raymond (Gr. 9-12?)- Structural design to minimize Superman related damage in Metropolis. Ronnie was proud of his project and had enjoyed analyzing the powers of Metropolis’ hero, but he lost any chance he had at winning when he decided to leave his project to go flirt with Caitlin. At least Kara, whose project was next to his, seemed interested.
Hartley Rathaway – something to do with sound waves
Lily Stein (Gr. 11) – designing and comparing different miniaturized forms of renewable energy sources. She had some help from her dad.
Patty Spivot – Recreation of crime scene evidence using food models. A bunch of her friends (her whole cabin actually) from her summer camp for those interested in law enforcement came to support her.
- Maggie Sawyer – seemed really interested in the bird project
- Ralph Dibny – found every project that said it was OK to touch. His favourite was slime. To Patty’s surprise he didn’t break anything.
- Dinah Drake – hung out with Patty most of the time. Talked to Hartley, beside her, about his project on sound waves for a bit (seemed kinda interested). Patty joined her when she got into a conversation with Sara, across the way, and Laurel about the implications of her biomechanics project in fighting and self-defence. The rest of the time they talked about that Vince guy from camp Dinah thought was cute.
- Eddie Thawne – he hung out with Patty most of the time too but did do a lap of the fair with Iris, who was there supporting Barry, when she accepted his offer to buy her something at the concession.
Notable events:
- Clark came to see Alex and Kara’s project and brought James and Lois with him. Kara and Clark (very subtly) tested the models on the project beside them that had been abandoned and were said to be superman proof/resistant. They were very impressed to discover the models did indeed stand-up to heat vison, freeze breath and super-strength leading Clark to believe the student had a bright future. James spent most of his time talking to Winn about his pop-up room project because, “Don’t you think these would be way better than cubicles, the Daily Planet should definitely purchase some.”
- Cat Grant, a young reporter from the National City Tribune pushing a stroller, came around and interviewed all the contestants because, “What better place to find the next world changing innovator or innovation” as she put it when she stopped to talk to Clark (more like flirt Kara thought). Alex used Clark distracting Cat as an opportunity to play with the baby in the stroller. This was the only time during the entire science fair Alex was distracted, except maybe when Maggie had come, but they mainly talked about the project like Alex did with everyone, which left Alex wondering why it felt different. During their entire interview Cat called Kara Kira, much to her annoyance. At least the baby seemed to like her. This interview sparked a conversation between Kara, Lois and Clark about journalism which Iris overhead while she was visiting Barry and joined in.
- Graduate students Ray Palmer and Curtis Holt were volunteer judges and ticket takers. Curtis wore a varsity jacket over his shirt and tie which covered his name tag, but at every project he judged he would describe every aspect as terrific, so the contestants started calling him Mr. Terrific. While judging Barry’s project they began a discussion about their favourite elements/minerals/gems. Barry couldn’t decide so joked he liked Barium. Ray shared his love for dwarf star alloy with a ‘quick’ lecture about its rumoured properties and potential uses. Curtis listed at least 10 compounds essential for modern tech as he flip-flopped back and forth trying to decide a favourite and Lex Luthor who was visiting his sister’s project beside them interjected that he favoured kryptonite. While taking tickets Curtis witnessed the following interaction. He asked Damian Darhk, who was carrying baby Nora, what brought him to the science fair. He responded with “These are the brightest young minds in the country and being young means they are malleable. So, there is nowhere better to recruit future talent for my enterprise.” Malcolm Merlyn, who was behind, him added “I know exactly what you mean with what the world’s coming to we’re going to need a bright mind to save it.” This led Tommy, who was accompanying him, to say “I thought we were just here to support the Queen’s.” Then one of the other judges, Dr. Harrison Wells aka Eobard Thawne in disguise, added “No your Dad is right. This world’s next HERO could be in this very room. I’ve already made a list of students to keep my eye on.” He pulled out a small piece of paper from his pocket. On it Curtis saw four names: Hartley Rathaway, Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow and Ronnie Raymond. This led to a long conversation between the three men about numerous threats to society, the country and the world and the possible drastic solutions that would need to be employed to stop them. When they left Curtis turned to Ray and asked, “Was it just me or were those Doomsday Dudes really creepy?” “What” Ray replied his attention clearly being pulled from elsewhere. But before Curtis could answer a voice behind him said “Doomsday Dudes is a terrible nickname you should call them the Legion of Doom.” Curtis turned to find Cisco. “Just saying,” he continued, “anyway I heard there’s free Big Belly Burger for the contestants. When’s that coming?” Ray had missed the entire conversation Curtis was asking about because he had been making funny faces at baby Nora the whole time hoping to make her smile or laugh but she had just stared at him with her big blue eyes.
- Queen consolidated gave out a $1500 scholarship and a summer internship at the applied sciences division. This year Moira and Robert had made Oliver come and brought 9-year-old Thea. Oliver was tasked with watching Thea who ran around the entire science fair wanting to look at and touch all the projects even the ones with big ‘Do Not Touch’ signs on them. She spent at least an hour trying to get everybody around the robot pianist to sing and dance with her. Most people ignored her although she was able to get Cisco, Winn, Stein, Joe, Kara (who kept trying to get Alex to join) and to Oliver’s surprise Malcolm Merlyn all to sing with her and they were all surprisingly good. She also got many people to dance including the Lance girls. She even convinced Cisco to make the robot play some of her favourite songs from Disney movies. Barry was very happy that he was able to convince Iris to dance with him for a couple songs with just a little encouragement from Thea and despite Kara’s constant encouragement Alex only agreed to dance when Maggie asked. Oliver had to present his family’s award which went to Felicity. When her name was announced Donna yelled “Woohoo, that’s my daughter! Way to go sweetie!” which earned a whispered “Mom, ssshh” and accompanied eye roll from Felicity as she headed to the stage with her head down and cheeks flushed. When she got onstage Oliver presented her with her award and Felicity began to babble, “Thanks. This is so cool. I’m such a big fan of yours… well not yours… your company… your family’s company. But uh you seem cool too. I could be a fan of yours, but not like a creepy stalker fan just like a normal supportive fan, ya know. I’m sorry, I’m rambling, it’s just, I don’t know what to say. Your very handsome… and I just said that out loud. I’m so sorry.” She stops and whispers “come on Smoak, pull yourself together,” then takes a deep breath before addressing Oliver again, “Thank-you again for the award and I look forward to working with you, or for you. I’m just gonna go now.” Oliver couldn’t help smiling as she left and thinking that just maybe if she had been around when Thea was partnering everyone up to dance he may have just participated.
- Kara quickly got bored of standing by her project and started wandering around to talk to the other contestants. She spent a good chunk of time talking to Barry. Tried to join in on a heated debate between Felicity, Cisco and Winn about the best language to code in but quickly left when she had no idea what they were talking about. She ended up spending most of her time with Lena. They talked about their projects, their lives and interests and about dealing with new and scary situations especially when you feel different from everyone else and learnt that they were both adopted. However, the whole time they were talking Lena’s eyes kept scanning the room as if waiting for something to jump out and scare her. Kara learnt why when a woman Kara thought must be Lena’s mother showed up and menacingly questioned why she was distracting her daughter.
- J’onn came in disguise to check out the Danvers sister’s project

It's over, we are your new rulers
Kara Danvers/Over girl x Male Reader
Request- Loved the dark Carol story. I had this idea that the reader is a King of an whole Empire and he also wants the infinite stones. At the end of Endgame he comes with his own huge ship and whole army to claim them. His Queen is Kara (like with a black suite. Like overgirl.) Carol things she can take him but Kara is his wife and also bodyguard and she is much stronger then Carol. Can you do like a cool battle and the reader gets all stones at the end and conquers the earth and they have to surrender
Alex’s world has turned upside down. She is feeling angry and hurt because her sister Kara is now a villain. She has tried everything to get Kara to become good again. Kara is far gone and is married to you. Alex has been asking for help to save Kara because of even Barry and Oliver couldn't save her. J'onn knows Nick Fury and he told the problem about supergirl. Nick sent Carol Danvers to meet up with Alex and J'onn. They told Carol what is going on. Your picture shows up on the screen.
”Who is that?” Carol asked.
”His name is Y/N and he rules an empire so he is the king and Kara is the queen. He is very strong, cocky bastard and my sister married him. I don't know what happened between them that made her go evil. I need you to keep Y/N busy while I try to get close to Kara” Alex said.
”Okay. We need to come up with a would agenda of what will happen if you can't save your sister” Carol said.
”I will save her,” Alex said.
Carol didn't say anything. Now they talk about a plan.
~Outer Space~
You are on your ship and Kara walked in the room. You kiss her and she is happy being with you.
”I have a gift for you,” You said.
”What is it?” Kara asked.
You take out a box and give it to her.
”I thought, you can use a new suit. I got this made just for you” You said.
She opened the box and takes out the new suit. She loves it and she has a big smile on her face. The new suit is black and red. She hugged you and kissed you passionately.
”I love it so much, Y/N. I'm going to put it on right now” Kara said.
You smiled at her.
”Can’t wait to see it” You said.
You wait for her. Once she came out wearing the new suit, you smiled at her.
”You look so beautiful,” You said.
”I love the suit even more,” Kara said.
”Come, we have a lot to talk about,” You said.
You and Kara hold hands and walked towards the control room. You turn on hologram and the infinite stones showed up.
”What are those?” Kara asked.
”Those are called the Infinity Stones. There are six, each can control something different like Space, Time, Power, Reality, Mind, and Soul. With those Infinity Stones, we will rule the universe and we will be unstoppable. Think about it, we will own all six stones and we can do whatever we want. Let's them together” You said.
”Yes! Let's get the stones together. I know no one will stop us. If they think they can stop let them, I don't mind improving my skills” Kara said.
”I love it when you talk like that. I know where we can get them” You said.
”Where?” Kara asked.
”Earth,” You said.
” Let's pay a visit to some old friends,” Kara said.
She starts to kiss you.
--------------------------
Carol explained what the Infinity Stones can do. The plan is to get the stones and stop you and Kara. Now Carol and Alex have all the stones together.
”Will the stones really stop him for good?” Alex asked.
”Yes. These stones are the most powerful items in the universe, anyone will do anything to get these stones. Let's get ready” Carol said.
Alex starts to get ready and her mind is racing.
”Alex, we will get Kara back and he will be gone for good” J’onn said.
”I really hope so. I miss her so much, we all do. I want him to suffer for taking Kara away from us” Alex said.
”He will pay for everything,” J’onn said.
Suddenly, everyone can see a giant spaceship arriving.
Everyone sees you and Kara get out of the ship. Alex glared at you and everyone gets ready.
”Give us the stone or we will take it by force,” You said.
”Do you think we will give up that easily?” Carol said.
You shrug your shoulders.
”You know what it doesn't matter, give in or fight back. Either way, all of you will now down to us” You said.
J’onn has the gauntlet where are all the stones are. Your army is standing behind you and Kara. Carol thinks she can take you on. You smirked at Alex, you know she hates you with a passion.
Carol went straight towards you but Kara stepped in. Kara punched Carol and she hit the ground hard. Carol used flight and she went straight towards Kara. Carol was going to punch Kara but she grabbed Carol’s fist then used headbutt on Carol. Then Carol hits the ground and Kara just smirked at her. Carol starts to use photon blasts then Kara used heat vision and she starts to walk towards Carol.
Before Carol can do another attack then Kara distracted her by using ice breath then she punched Carol in the face.
”Do you think it would be that easy?” Kara said.
Carol stands up.
”I’m just getting started,” Carol said.
Kara smirked.
”Good, because I'm in the mood for a fight,” Kara said.
”Tell me, Alex don't you think your sister looks amazing in her new suit,” You said.
”Y/N I will make you pay,” Alex said.
”ATTACK!” You yelled.
Barry and Oliver arrived with their own army. Now the war has started. You used flight to catch up to Alex but Barry stepped in. He thought he would easily stop you, by running in a circle but you can see him. You grabbed him by the throat and you start to squeeze.
”This won't end well, for you or your friends,” You said.
You threw him across the field.
Kara is fighting against Carol, Oliver, J’onn, and Sara. Kara just laughed at them when she starts to fight them.
”I'm not even tired. But I do thank all of you giving me a workout” Kara said.
Oliver got and shot an arrow at Kara, but she used her heat vision to destroy it. Then you arrived and stand next to her.
”Having fun my dear?” You said.
”I'm not breaking a sweat. But it's cute, they think they can stop me” Kara said.
”We will stop you. Kara this isn't you. You cared about saving people and giving hope to others. He is just using you, soon he will leave you” Sara said.
”I have proved my love for her. She knows I won't leave her” You said.
”Y/N, you don't have to explain yourself I know you love me. How about we defeat them then grab the stones” Kara said.
”Oh, you are so perfect,” You said.
Ray, Sara, and Carol tried to hit Kara at the same time but she punched Ray then threw him against Sara and Carol. Then used ice breath to stop Mick using his flame gun. You have your boot on Oliver's throat and you are choking him.
”You truly look amazing in that suit. Later, we will have a feast” You said.
Kara punched J’onn and blocked his kicks.
”This suit is so much better than my old outfit. Come on, guys this fight is getting so predictable. Y/N I'm getting bored and they are not any fun” Kara said.
You sigh. Then you kicked Oliver in the face.
”Yeah, you are right this fight is getting predictable,” You said.
Sara was going to do a high kick on you but you dodged her attack. Then you punched J’onn in the stomach.
-----------------------
You and Kara stand in front of Alex and she has the Gauntlet.
”Give it up, Alex. Look around there is no way you will win,” You said.
”I won't give up on saving my sister and killing you,” Alex said.
”I like that attitude of yours. But you are getting on my nerves” You said.
You were going to attack Alex but Carol stopped you. Kara was going to stop Carol but you stopped Kara.
”No, my love. This time I will fight her just get the stones” You said.
”Piece of cake,” Kara said.
Alex threw the Gauntlet at Carol. Now you are going after Carol and Alex will try to stop Kara. Alex has Kryptonite and she will use it on Kara. J’onn and Clark tried to hold Kara down so that Alex can use the Kryptonite on Kara.
”You guys are pathetic,” Kara said.
She slammed J’onn and Clark against each other.
You and Carol glared at each other. You and Carol charged at each other, you and Carol used the same move going to use a punch but the vibration was strong that caused you and Carol to fall back.
Carol ran towards you then used a high kick to your face. But the attack didn't hurt you. You spit out the blood and she thought it would make you fall. You grabbed her leg fast then punched her in the stomach.
You have many different abilities. Your hands into fits and an energy source surrounded your hands.
”Tonight everyone on earth will bow down to me,” You said.
”Over my dead body,” Carol said.
”I can make that happen,” You said.
You have a higher endurance then Carol. It will take so much longer for you to get tired.
She used flight and you went after her. She tried to punch you but you caught her fist. Then you grabbed her throat and you slammed her against the ground extremely hard that it caused a small earthquake. She let's go of the gauntlet then you grabbed it. Clark used heat vision to stop you but you used heat vision also. Clark is using all his force, you and Clark start to walk while using what vision. You used energy projection to attack. He falls down before Barry can use lighting attacks on you or before anyone can attack you.
You put on the gauntlet and everybody felt a powerful energy wave. You feel the power of the stones and you have a sinister smile. Kara kissed you and you kiss her back.
”No one will stop us,” You said.
She gently touches your cheek.
”Let’s rule the universe as we planned,” Kara said.
She kissed you passionately in front of everyone.
Kara walked towards Alex and looks down at her sister.
”I told you, big sister, no one will stop us. But it was cute that you thought you can stop me or him” Kara said.
”What happened to you,” Alex said.
Kara laughed and walked away.
--------------
Time went by, many heroes tried to stop you or Kara but they have all failed. You still hold the stones now you and Kara are planning to have kids. Alex hasn't given up to save Kara or to kill you.

Legends of Tomorrow s3 ep8 Earth-X and STEIN, oh god Stein
It’s nice to get some Westallen even on Legends of Tomorrow. Since Netflix only has season 4, I’m behind on what is happening with them in future seasons, but they are getting married, once the nazis leave them alone.
Things happen, and apparently Earth X version of Captain Cold, Citizen Cold, is now with them. He is the touchy feely version of Leonard Snart, Leo.
He wants Mick to stop drinking.
Mick, thinking he’s seeing things again, hits himself in the head, trying to dispel the ghost. (But didn’t we find out that was the real Leonard Snart all along, so why is Mick still thinking he’s seeing things? I’ll have to think about it.)
Mick figures he died in a fire. He did, but turns out he died saving a bunch of police officers.
I meet for the first this guy on the left, Mr. Terrific who is apparently supposed to be a superhero in his own right, but is nerfed on CW to pander to the main character on Arrow. (this is literally all I know about him, based on tumblr). I also meet for the first time the guy on the right, the Ray, Leo Snart’s boyfriend, and who apparently can fly and do something light or fire related. Not sure. They are both awesome, and pretty hot.
Meanwhile Stein is dying, and taking Jax with him because of their psychic connection. Stein wants to sever their link so just he dies and Jax lives. And I’m crying like a dumbass here.
I’m ugly crying here and everything is terrible.
Since their connection began, they haven’t truly been alone. Ever. Why do the writers hate me.
Stein’s life ends.
The news of Stein’s death goes around the ship. Westallen hugs, and Cisco and Caitlyn do this.
Ray stares at a picture of himself with Stein in the wild west.
I will have to wonder later why he had a picture framed of himself and Stein.
It first looked like Ray was alone, but Amaya is comforting him, and he’s sitting with her, Zari and Nate. Ray is probably the most empathetic person on board, so it makes sense why they began with his reaction. He wonders where Jax is, and then we see Jax outside Stein’ family home. He breaks the news to Clarissa and Lily without saying a word.
Meanwhile, Amaya continues flirting with Zari.
There’s a rousing speech by the main char from Arrow and our Ray. They decide to attack the nazis. Here’s Leo and Ray, our resident mlm couple.
Ray and Mick are in the front lines, standing side by side.
They win, and Barry thanks Leo and the Ray.
I can’t even imagine their honeymoon.
Leo decides to stick around for a bit, and tells the Ray that.
The Ray takes it pretty well. They kiss and the Ray leaves.
At Stein’s funeral, Jax can’t hold it together but breaks down during his speech. I just wanna give everybody a hug.
Mick cries. After Leo points it out, Mick claims allergies.
Oh right, Alex and Sara slept together. They hug it out and Alex realizes that she needs to find somebody other than Maggie. Which I think is a good thing. It was a terrible idea for Alex to try and get married under 1 year after coming out, and without knowing anything about Maggie. Children are a deal-breaker, so I hope Alex finds someone and is happy.
I love that post about Sara and Mick having the same taste in women. Mick asks Sara if she hit [Alex] and Sara affectionately taps him on the back of his head.
Diggle marries Westallen, and Felicia and the main guy from Arrow being the worst, they decide to hog the spot light and marry right then and there too. Get your own wedding.
Iris is so beautiful.
Well, at least Westallen is married now. So that’s wonderful.
This episode was very starved for Atomwave, but then again, it makes sense given it’s an episode about Stein dying, and Westallen marrying.
So, mazel tov and “tahn khoo meem” which at least based on Google is “Sorry for your loss” in Hebrew.

Some very quick thoughts on the X-Over
1.) Wow, their CGI is rough sometimes. I think the opening with the shots of the Nazi world with the blimp and the scene with Ray and Barry versus Red Tornado were the worst offenders. Why do these things look so shit, and then things like the Waverider look really good?
2.) What I got from this is that making it Nazis was extremely pointless/just a question of shock value. Other than that speech from Felicity, it feels like it wasn’t used for anything and they could just have gone for some other rebranded evil dictatorship. Like do Injustice Verse or Earth ruled by Darkseid. I also really wish they had gone with the comic origin where Overman being on their side was a huge factor in them winning and not just “they had the atom bomb first”. Evil!Oliver x Evil!Kara was also extremely pointless in the end. And honestly their bit on Arrow was making me uncomfortable, with how they stressed that they were married. Is this really the image you want to invoke on a show about how marriages are supposed to be a good thing?
I also did not care at all about the Oliver and FelicityX scene for some reason. I get why it was cool for them to really show us Felicity’s jewish heritage and not wanting to show her was a good way for Oliver to expose himself, but I dunno, somehow the scene didn’t quite work for me. I guess I would have preferred it if maybe they had made her a resistance fighter instead. Maybe so it doesn’t come across as quite as condescending when Oliver (wearing SS gear) bends down to her, gives her a weapon and sends her on her way?
One last thing, if Evil!Oliver was the big Fuehrer of it all, how does that scene near the beginning where the Evil 3 argue and Supergirl goes between Evil!Oliver and Eowells make sense? Shouldn’t Eowells be deferential to the Fuehrer like he is in some later scenes?
Also, I’m not fully up to date on Flash, but why did Barry let Eowells go? Shouldn’t he at least have tried to like contain him or something?
3.) Speaking of which: wait, did Diggle not even brush his teeth? Did Westallen and Olicity really get married next to a puke puddle by a guy with vomit breath? I know how far you are willing to go for a joke Arrowverse, but it would really serve you to think about these things more.
4.) I think I’ve already sufficiently expressed my joy over Alex/Sara and Leo/Ray.
5.) Overall I think I liked the Supergirl episode the most. The fact that it was the visually brightest and fluffiest probably helped. I feel like Legends kinda suffered the most from having to close the entire thing. On one hand they had arguably the emotional high point (or would that be low point?) of the crossover in Stein’s death and then that suddenly goes into a montage of the team reacting.
Which I get, as fans we want to see those scenes. But I couldn’t stop thinking: “wait, so in the middle of the attack Jax just took a timeout to see Stein’s wife and daughter”? Only then to switch right back over to the big battle. Then do the funeral and then do the weddings. It just led to it feeling more uneven.
6.) Also boy was the crossover hard on Sanvers with everybody drumming it into Alex that leaving Maggie was the right choice. You know show, you could just not have brought her up as heavily/not have Alex doubting the breakup as much, then you wouldn’t have had to rub it in as heavily just to undo it?
7.) Overall I think Killerfrost benefitted the most from the crossover, they really came up with some interesting and creative ways to have her use her powers. I’m particularly partial to ice sword arm in the first episode.
Overall verdict:
Supergirl: best Arrow: gloomy Flash: filler Legends: choppy

Crisis in Earth X (part 1)
My question is what the Hindenburg had to do with Nazis winning WWII. Why does every Nazi victory alternate universe have blimps?
I'm curious about the logic of who becomes part of the SS and who didn't.
JAMES MY SWEET PATRIOT.
Legends gotta RSVP but they're in Sherwood Forest.
----
Mick, weddings have free booze, ideally.
"so last year"
MON EL DAMMIT
Barry Allen is not the only Barry Allen.
Seeing all their names on the cast roll call MAKES ME SO HAPPY YOU GUYS
I assume Ollie's life choices continue to suck, because I have not been watching Arrow.
Barry thinks Ollie looks damn fine in his suit
What is this scruff Ollie.
Ollie you have never been the all knowing mentor.
Harry just hates all geniuses. Harry and Cisco are perfect.
JAX. JEFFERSON. MY SWEET BOY.
I'm not gonna lie, the Nazi thing is hard to watch, mostly because it's the constant reminder that these symbols are still it there still being used still being vectors and justification of hate and violence.
STEIN AND CAITLYN. I CAN'T.
Stein talking about his grandson. So good. So pure. Victor Garber is amazing.
Mick.
MICK.
Sara and Alex. Please. Please.
Barry and Kara is my favorite heterosexual bromance.
MAXIMUM SINGING PLEASE.
Jax talking to Stein.
Stein talking.
"The spectacular sticky man"
They found a Ronnie replacement why can't they find a Stein replacement???
OH MY GOD YES SARA AND ALEX YES WHAT THANK YOU
Thank Christ Felicity
What the fuck is she wearing tho. Felicity's dress is weird and bizarre.
Mick is my ideal house guest
Mick is perfect. Just if anyone has any doubts.
Mick is here for the groom, don't lie.
People who are not complete and total strangers: that girl.
Alex and Harry would enjoy each other's grumpy competence.
I assume Kara and Ollie are Nazis because they hate Nazis but are also clearly authoritarian right/lawful evil? They're totally proto fascists, even when they're the good guys.
Mick missed having I've to go with his fire
Carlos Valdes in those suspenders. *Fans self*
Alex and Sara are the power couple this universe needs
I'm really impressed with "Overgirl"s make up and the way they made such a huge difference on Melissa Benoist's face just with make up and lighting. Very harsh. It makes her usual softness so much more apparent. Even though I don't really think of her as being soft at all.

So I watched the first half of Crisis on Earth X and here are my thoughts (it’s a list of what I wrote down during my watching cause why not):
Starting off w/ so much Nazis... like I get exposition but not like this I do however appreciate X-Arrows entrance Who the fuck? Is that Slade? Jimmy? Oh Shit it’s Jimmy! And he’s dead, of course he’s dead... We get it CW you don’t care about Jimmy Olsen. Cool Opening, Still Trash How’d King Shark get out of Argus? It’s cute that they all have real convos while fighting Why is everyone RSVPing so late? Also Robin Hood Yas, just YAS legends anyway “You guys are so last year”- hahaha major eyeroll Why is white bread (Mon El) still here? Why are they all pressuring Felicity about marriage” So it! Let them do it when they’re ready! This is just lazy (The clear intention that Olicity is going to get married because of this) where is Cisco to try on his tux? Okay, and YAS Harry “What Squidward here...” it’s true I’m tired already I love the Stein Caitlin relationship YAS Drinks, also please fuck (Sara and Alex) Kara shut up, stop saying you aren’t human, you fucking are The Spectacular Sticky Man! Honestly half of the people that should be here aren’t like IDK RAY PALMER!!!!! Sara and Alex for the win! you saved her you dumb ass (?????) I’m glad Kara didn’t let Alex think she’s trash for a one night stand Throws up when “Running Home To You” starts Also Harry Wells beaming at Barry like he’s now his proud father in Henry’s absence is my everything. Yas Wally!!!! So far like basically all over the place and trash. Why put Cisco out of play? TOM GETTING TO PLAY THE REVERSE FLASH AGAIN!!!! I’M SO HAPPY!!!!!! Jax asking if there’s more than one Earth is stupid cause I’m pretty sure Barry mentioned last year Kara was from another Earth and Harry is too like Wells is Dead on Earth one so like none of this makes sense, which is why they should have had someone like Nate, Amaya, or Zari there who might not know. The whole interaction with Tommy makes me want to throw up. While Felicity remains the only cannon CW jewish person, when most of the characters are canonically jewish in comics, which once again brings up the where’s Ray, and why is Mick saying nothing. Are they fucking? (x-Kara and x-Ollie) They’re fucking! Where the fuck is Ray Palmer Respect her Oliver! Good job! I’m glad there’s open and honest communication finally! Yas Jax, Cait, Harry team up!!!! Harry shut up He loves you, y’all a team! I’m so proud of the communication! I’m glad Alex keeps doubting if her choice to break up with Maggie was right, cause it’s so valid! and I’m glad Kara’s like you made the choice that made sense for you, it’s okay. “Just a Quick reminder, super speed, I don’t have that.” Thank God he’s still Thawne and not a new version I can’t believe my dad is back (EoWells) Everyone from the teams should be here or in STAR labs, like this makes no sense. This is Tiring When Oliver tells x-Oliver that he’s going to kill him: Big Mood Y’all thought it would be okay to have a concentration camp scene???????

The Shape of Things to Come - With the help of Sara and M’gann, Kara travels back in time to a year before she becomes Supergirl from a future where all her worst fears have come to pass, and replaces her younger self.
Devils in the Dark - Fourteen months ago, an older version of Kara travelled back in time, and merged her consciousness with her younger self in an effort to prevent a nightmare future. Eight weeks ago, she came out as Supergirl, catching Alex’s plane as it fell from the sky. Since that time, the knowledge and skills she acquired in the future have allowed her to make a number of changes for the better, but those changes haven’t been without consequences. Now, in the aftermath of a vicious attack, the tables are turned, and Kara is scrambling desperately to play catch up, but everything seems to be aligning against her. Her allies are starting to doubt her, she can’t seem to control her temper, she has to deal with a darker, more brutal version of Project Cadmus that seems hell bent on burning everything to the ground. The pressure is mounting, and the only place she can find peace is in the presence of Cat Grant, but even that relationship might be doomed when a ghost from Kara’s past walks back into her life. This story is the sequel to “The Shape of Things to Come,” and second in the Future Shock series. It does *not* stand alone.
A Plague of Righteousness (WIP) - Two weeks ago, Kara defeated Cadmus in the Battle of Little Krypton, but it’s a victory that might end up costing her the war. Cat and Alex are both recovering from crippling injuries. Supergirl's relationship with the US government is in tatters. Senator Crane is doing her best to win the Presidential race and has made destroying Supergirl’s public image the centerpiece of her campaign.
When Kara finds her crying under the bleachers and takes her home, Eliza decides to take her in, and Alex makes a surprising discovery about herself.

off the rack #1284
Monday, October 21, 2019
Please take time to cast your vote in the Canadian Federal Election today if you haven't already. Our democracy depends on its citizens voting. If you wake up tomorrow and your side lost then I sincerely hope that we as a country can continue living our daily lives with respect and compassion. Things will change. Better for some and not for others. Let's all try to remember what it is to be Canadian eh.
Is This How You See Me? - Jaime Hernandez (writer & artist). It's been years since I've looked in on Maggie and Hopey so this new graphic novel chronicling their adventures at a punk music reunion in Huerta was a perfect way for me to catch up on their lives. The girls have always had a complicated relationship and things haven't changed too much now that Esperanza/Hopey is married to another woman with a son and Maggie is in a long term relationship with a man. I loved the flashbacks to their younger days and unlike Dan De Carlo's Betty and Veronica, these women have aged and Jaime shows that beautifully. Love & Rockets fans must buy this graphic novel.
Archie #708 - Nick Spencer & Mariko Tamaki (writers) Sandy Jarrell (artist) Matt Herms (colours) Jack Morelli (letters). Lots of mysterious things going on in this issue as Archie and Sabrina's picnic in the woods is interrupted while Jughead and Reggie's investigation into Reggie's father's disappearance receives a major clue. These modern Archie comics are so much more interesting than the old school stuff.
Guardians of the Galaxy #10 - Donny Cates (writer) Cory Smith (pencils) Victor Olazaba (inks) David Curiel (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). The reunion with an ex-Guardian doesn't go well but not to worry folks, Groot and his pals come to the rescue. I like the new Magus reborn. Oh, and the cover is a total fib.
Absolute Carnage #4 - Donny Cates (writer) Ryan Stegman (pencils) JP Mayer, Jay Leisten & Ryan Stegman (inks) Frank Martin (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). All seems lost when Carnage absorbs the Venom symbiote from a defeated Hulk but hold your horses folks, Eddie Brock will save the day. It's a major change for this character so you won't want to miss it.
Metal Men #1 - Dan Didio (writer) Shane Davis (pencils) Michelle Delecki (inks) Jason Wright (colours) Travis Lanham (letters). Unlike the recently released Inferior Five we actually have the Metal Men in this debut issue. I'm glad I gave Dan Didio a chance because he impressed me with this story. The discovery of a sentient Nth metal might be similar to Marvel's Venom symbiote but I'm hoping the rest of this 12-issue maxi doesn't devolve into Will Magnus's Metal Men fighting this new entity.
Superman Year One #3 - Frank Miller (writer) John Romita Jr. (pencils) Danny Miki (inks) Alex Sinclair (colours) John Workman (letters). Great Caesar's ghost that was a slog. I actually fell asleep partway through this. This 3-issue mini did not deserve the prestige DC Back Label imprint treatment. The writing was hackneyed and the art was unspectacular. I got tired of the clipped, repetitive captions after only a few pages because they ran on and on. And even though this is some of John Romita Jr.'s best work there was nothing special about it. These stories of Superman's early adventures could've been done in a 6-issue $3.99 US monthly and fans would have been happy. The big blue boy scout is not a good fit for Frank Miller. The style of writing he used in this last issue is more suited to someone like Green Arrow or the Question. If he follows through with another Superman story like he teased on the last page I would think twice before spending the time to read it.
X-Men #1 - Jonathan Hickman (writer) Leinil Francis Yu (pencils) Gerry Alanguilan (inks) Sunny Gho (colours) VC's Clayton Cowles (letters). This is the first new X-Team book to hit the racks following the twelve issues of House and Powers of X that laid the foundation for Marvel's mutant revamp. It introduces the good guys (the mutants) and the bad guys (human scientists hell bent on eradicating mutants). The team rescues young mutants from the bad guys and safely return to Krakoa leaving behind a lot of dead humans. Yes, no more mister nice mutant. The team consists of Cyclops, Storm, Polaris, Magneto, Dr. Reyes, Jean Grey, Havok, Vulcan, Wolverine, Cable and Prestige (I know her as Rachel Summers). Only Scott, Ororo, Erik and Lorna go on the mission so no crazy Canucklehead antics this issue, sigh. I liked this enough to want to keep reading but not enough to add it to my "must read" list.
Killswitch #1 - Jeffrey & Susan Bridges (writers) Walter Geovani (art) Brittany Peer (colours) Simon Bowland (letters). This sci-fi comic book is about a future where a small minority of people can see the future. They're called Augers. The rest of humanity fears them and have them rounded up in detention centres. Sounds familiar. The main character is Major Marcella Regula who turned in her own brother as an Auger. She's the new head of security at a detention centre in a domed city built on a comet. She hits the killswitch to try and save an Auger from dying but fails. Then she helps the dead man's friends to escape. I picked this up because I really liked the art but the story didn't spark joy. I'm hitting the killswitch on this one.
The Marked #1 - David Hine (writer) Brian Haberlin (art) Geirrod Van Dyke (colours) Francis Takenaga (letters). This new book is full of magic and the art is stupendous. An ancient order of tattooed magic users tasked with fighting the forces of chaos have found a new recruit. So has a malevolent government agency after one of the Marked is banished. I cared about Saskia and her new friends by the end of this issue so I want to find out what happens to them. I'm going to read this as long as I can.
The Batman's Grave #1 - Warren Ellis (writer) Bryan Hitch (pencils) Kevin Nowlan (inks) Alex Sinclair (colours) Richard Starkings (letters). The opening pages did not surprise me because I know someone who has their tombstone already in place. Batman investigates when a dead body is found in a tenement building. The victim had a wall full of Batman clippings and this 12-issue maxi is off and running. I love the detective side of Batman so I'm adding this to my "must read" list.
Spider-Man #2 - J. J. Abrams & Henry Abrams (writers) Sara Pichelli (art) Elisabetta D'Amico (inking assistant) Dave Stewart (colours) VC's Joe Caramagna (letters). Two issues in and Ben has met his MJ. Her name is Faye Ito and she's a pip. So much for the old secret identity. Also cue the super villain menace appearance. You won't hear me complaining that there are too many Spider-Man books on the racks as long as they're this good.
Inferior 5 #2 - Jeff Lemire (writer) Keith Giffen (plot & pencils) Michelle Delecki (inks) Hi-Fi (colours) Rob Leigh (letters). That's enough for me. This is just too weird. If you're into weirdness, you will certainly like this.
Something is Killing the Children #2 - James Tynion IV (writer) Werther Dell'Edera (art) Miquel Muerto (colours) AndWorld Design (letters). I like Erica Slaughter, monster hunter. She gives this horror story a lot of spunk.
Contagion #3 - Ed Brisson (writer) Mack Chater & Stephen Segovia (art) Veronica Gandini & Andrew Crossley (colours) VC's Cory Petit (letters). I'll give Ed Brisson this, he sure knows how to string a Marvel maniac along. Jessica Jones was the one to entice me to read this issue and the heroes that show up to help fight the fungus next issue makes me want to read that too. And that's not to mention the Wrecking Crew either.
Once & Future #3 - Kieron Gillen (writer) Dan Mora (art) Tamra Bonvillain (colours) Ed Dukeshire (letters). Evil King Arthur gets his Galahad while Duncan and his granny get help from a historian. I like granny's simple solution for keeping the bad guys from winning.
Batman #81 - Tom King (writer) John Romita Jr. & Mitch Gerads (pencils) Klaus Janson & Mitch Gerads (inks) Tomeu Morey & Mitch Gerads (colours) Clayton Cowles (letters). We're getting there folks. Bear with us. That Thomas Wayne is one tough Batman. He takes on Batwoman, Batgirl, Orphan, Huntress, Red Robin, Robin and Signal and manages to survive. Damn that no killing rule. Meanwhile, Batman and Catwoman get into Arkham Asylum to get to Bane. I liked how all the stuff leading up to this issue is explained even though it was hard to follow.
