thank you wisco for being my home for four years, and thank you to this team who’ve made me the player and person i’ve always strived to be.

to the gophers, you played an outstanding game and im proud of the hard fought game you guys gave me.

usahockey: In honor of our men and women making history by both winning gold at the World Championships this past weekend, we highlight two players of the tournament, goaltender Y/N Y/LN, and center Alex Turcotte. The two of them both attended the University of Wisconsin and played for their respective hockey teams.

Y/N Y/LN spent four years with the Wisconsin Badgers and helped lead the women’s team to 3 consecutive B1G 10 Championship Titles (2023, 2024, and 2025), and 3 consecutive NCAA Championship Titles (2023, 2024, and 2025).

In the tournament, Y/LN had a .937 save percentage, and a 1.42 GAA, which propelled the U.S to a gold medal and a world title.

Alex Turcotte only spent one year with the Wisconsin Badgers and had 9 goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 29 games played.

Turcotte turned pro in 2020, and unfortunately dealt with a few setbacks with illness and injury before having a breakout year in the 2023-2024 NHL season. He is now a core member of the LA Kings alongside roommates, Francesco Pinelli, Quinton Byfield, Jordan Spence, and Brandt Clarke, all of whom also participated in the World Championships and won the Bronze medal for Team Canada.

HEHEHEH OF COURSE, i love turcs so much he's the cutest

this is def on my bucket list i need a man who lets me do his eyebrows

you sat on alex's lap as you plucked his eyebrows. the music played throughout your room as alex ranted about his week and you focused on the task at hand, still listening to his rant.

as you carefully plucked alex's eyebrows, you could feel the tension in his muscles slowly melting away. the music in the background created a nice atmosphere in your room, providing the perfect backdrop for him to vent about his week.

you had told him his eyebrows his eyebrows were getting out of hand and he needed some plucking and to your surprise, he agreed. and now, he was relaxed as he talked about what was currently happening within his friend-group.

as alex's rant came to an end, he let out a deep sigh, finally feeling like he had released some of the pent-up stress from the week. he turned his head up to look at you, a grateful smile spreading across his face.

"thanks for doing this," he said, his voice softer now, filled with appreciation. "and for listening to me ramble. you always know how to make me feel better."

you set the tweezers down and leaned in to give him a gentle kiss on the cheek. "of course, alex. that's what i'm here for. and hey, your eyebrows look amazing now!"

alex let out a laugh as he pulled out his phone camera, his face morphing into a surprised one. "whoa, they actually look so good."

you couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as alex checked out his newly groomed eyebrows. the change was subtle but significant, and it seemed to have lifted not only the weight of unruly brow hairs but also the stress of his week.

alex, amazed by the results, continued to inspect his brows from different angles. "whoa, they actually look so good," he remarked, his surprise evident in his expression.

you grinned, proud of your handiwork. "i told you, i'm practically a brow artist. i've been plucking my own since i was like, 15."

he chuckled, turning to you with a playful glint in his eye. "well, i'll have to book an appointment with you more often then."

"you don't have to do that, baby, that's what i'm here for." you smiled as you gave him a small kiss.

as you leaned away, he continued. "gotta snap a picture of my new eyebrows to the boys group-chat, you're gonna have a bunch of new clients."

i’ve been sitting wondering for a while when the best time is to introduce ansley to alex.

“mom i just don’t know.” i say running my hands through my hair.

“honey you’re gonna have to do it eventually. i know you had a shitty experience last time but we loved alex from the moment we spoke to him on the phone. he’s not going to hurt you. ansley would love him.” my mom says trying to make the situation easier. she was right, alex is leaps and bounds better then my ex. the man who knocked me up two years ago and left me stranded and pregnant at the age of 19.

“okay you’re right. i need to do it soon. we’ve been together for 8 months. i’ve held off for too long. he always asks for pictures, i know he’s gonna love her.”

“y/n, he loves you so of course he’s gonna love her. stop worrying and get out there. we need him at thanksgiving!”

“alright alright. i will. i’ll call you later mom, love you.” i say hanging up once she bids me goodbye.

“well what am i gonna do?” i ask to the sweet little face smiling as she walks towards me.

“mommy.” she exclaims.

“ansley.” i sigh. i wish it didn’t have to be so hard on me.

“oh alright. let me damn call him.” i say releasing her as she finds her way back to her toys in the living room. i find my phone and call alex, of course picking up on the second ring.

“no, i was hoping you’d want to come meet her?” i ask gritting my teeth.

“i love you too alex, see you soon.” i say hanging up and letting go of the breath of been holding in and tears of happiness threatening to spill. after a long half hour, i hear the lock turn and the door open to see alex dressed in a white tshirt and nice jeans. his face brightens when his eyes land on me after shutting the door.

“hi baby.” he says walking over and hugging me.

“mommy, alex?”

“yeah baby this is alex.” i say as she walks over and i scoop her up.

“hi ansley.” he says as she examines his face, her face contorting into a smile.

“mommy loves you.” she says pointing at him.

“yes mommy does.” i laugh at her confession.

“and i love your mommy too.”

“good.” she giggles and i place her down. she runs over and latches onto his leg, hugging onto him like a teddy bear.

“c’mere big girl.” he says picking her up off the ground and holding her like she was his own. the sight made my heart blossom.

“she’s never met her dad so, i can’t say she had low expectations.” i say nervously scratching the back of my head.

“well i’m here now, and i always will be. gotta keep her expectations of men high as long as i can.” he laughs holding her to his side as she rests her head on his shoulder.

“i can’t believe i waited this long to introduce you. i don’t know what i expected.” i say holding my arms.

“you were scared, it’s okay. i understand why you didn’t so i didn’t want to push you. i waited until you were comfortable.” he says resting his head on ansley’s as she fought sleep.

“i’ve never seen her connect so quickly with anyone, not even my mom.”

“it’s because she knows how much you love me and now how much i love you.” he says walking over, placing a delicate arm around my waist, kissing me lovingly.

“it looks like she needs a nap.” i giggle as alex hands me the sleeping child. we take her to her room and i let alex tuck her into bed.

“you two are my entire heart.” i say resting my chin on alex’s shoulder as he rubbed her back to help her fall asleep. once we shut her door quietly, alex begins making dinner and i sneak into my room to call my mom.

“hello?” she says picking up.

“hi mom, alex is here now. they met and it went better than i ever could’ve imagined. she’s never connected to someone as quickly as she did with him.”

“that’s amazing sweetheart. now i know ansley’s sperm donor has never been in the equation but have you ever considered that maybe her dad doesn’t need to be who helped create her?”

“what are you implying?”

“i’m saying that maybe you should, in the future, consider maybe teaching her to call him daddy instead of alex? especially since he plans on sticking around.”

it has been several weeks since the first time i introduced my daughter and alex and since then they’ve bonded so closely. my mom was right it is weird listening to a baby call my boyfriend, alex. today i invited him over for movie night, with a little surprise in hand. thanksgiving was approaching in about two weeks so i had to do something special before we traveled out to my hometown for my family gathering.

“alright ans, he’s gonna be here soon remember what we practiced?”

“she’s so in love with you alex. every morning she asks if she gets to see you so i started teaching her to call you that over the last week or so, and it’s for her benefit that she has a dad in her life that loves her and cares for her.”

“and now at thanksgiving you’ll have an even better impression. ansley is very important to them, so her love for you matters so much to all of us. you’ve changed my life in every way. you deserve to be her dad. legally or not. you are her father and she needs you.” i say capturing his cheeks in my hand as he smiled sweetly at me.

“i’ll never let you or her down.” he says grabbing lightly onto my wrists and kissing my lips.

“ew mommy and daddy kissed. yuck.” ansley yells, bringing us both to a fit of laughter.

we arrive at my grandmother’s house all dressed nicely. alex opens the door for ansley and i to enter and my whole family practically cheers.

“oh alex it’s great to see you.” my mom says jumping up to hug him. i hadn’t told anyone in the family the surprise we gave to him, so it would be a surprise for them too. we stopped and said hello to all my family members, introducing alex to all of them.

“everyone, ansley has something she would like to say.” i say picking her up and standing her on the back of the couch. my arms holding her up steady.

“this is my daddy, alex. i love my daddy and my mommy and they love me.” she says earning an audible gasp and awe from my family as she reaches for alex to pick her up. her vocabulary has vastly increased since they last saw her. he picks her up and hugs her tightly, his heart still fluttering every single time she calls him dad as if the role was meant for him since the beginning.

“i’m so happy you found the right one y/n.” grandma says to me quietly. i knew that if she had this opinion she was right, i couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with them.

“alright let’s eat!” my dad calls out and everyone sits at the table, passing around the items to take parts of. without knowing, alex makes ansley’s plate for her while i’m chatting with my aunt who i haven’t seen since last thanksgiving.

“alright now let’s get-“ i say pausing seeing a plate filled with all her favorites sitting in front of her already.

“i got it baby, make yours okay?” alex says handing me a plate to pass and begins speaking to my father whom he sat next to. my heart grew even more at this gesture. he fit in perfectly.

“okay.” i smile and begin to pack my plate. it almost feels like i’m dreaming. how did i get so lucky to not only land the cutest and most precious baby but also finding the most gorgeous and sweetest hockey player ever to be her father? i’ll never know how it happened, but i don’t care. as long as im here now.

I live in L.A. I recently moved into my own apartment. I’m a senior at UCLA and I am also a social media influencer. Thankfully it helps living in L.A. It is also nice to already have a job so I can pay my own stuff instead of my parents.

My two younger brothers play hockey. Brendan plays in Vegas and Jordan plays in Chicago.

I made a lot of hockey friends through them.

I’ve been secretly dating Alex Turcotte. He's good friends with the Hughes family so I met him a few years ago since my family always spends the summer with them. Quinn, Jack and Luke always invite some teammates to join which is when I met Alex.

Alex and I have been dating since September when he first came out to L.A. But we’ve been seeing each other since summer. I didn’t want my brothers to know so we’ve been hiding it for a while.

My parents found out not too long ago, my dad wasn’t exactly happy but he saw how Alex made me happy so he was okay with it. My mom was ecstatic. 

I am currently sitting on the couch working on some homework when Alex burst through the door. My eyes widened when I looked at him, he looked panicked.

“Hey babe… everything okay?” I asked worriedly. He shook his head and made his way to me. He sat down next to me.

“I think some of the guys know about us,” he panicked.

“What, there’s no way,” I said.

We’ve been pretty good at keeping it a secret there’s no way any of them figured it out.

“No” Jordan responded, Brendan rolled his eyes.

“Oh that’s really good actually” I replied, trying not to sound nervous.

“Why is that?” Brendan asked

Cole stood with Trevor watching you play beer pong with Alex and Jack, a smile bright on his face knowing how well you got along with his best friends.

The two of you had grown up together, both committing to Wisconsin together and both planning a full time move to Montreal this upcoming fall, for Cole to play his first full nhl season and you to being your career in interior design.

“Dude Just ask her out already, the way you two stare at each other is creepy” Trevor laughed beside him.

“We don’t stare at each other!” Cole defended, “I’m just watching her and Alex destroy Jack” he shrugged.

“Dude you two need to give it up already and just admit your feelings, or at least fuck. She’s a dime, and if you don’t swoop her up someone else will” the New York native spoke as he downed the rest of his beer and left his friend alone.

Cole didn’t want to admit his friend was right but sadly he was. He’d always felt something for you, he wasn’t really sure what exactly her felt but he’d always found himself being drawn to you.

Not to mention the way you stood by his side through everything, the way you cried into his shoulder when he was drafted, stood by his side and cried again when he won the Hobey Baker award; Twice. How you talked his anxiety away before his first nhl game and comforted him when the habs lost the cup final.

You were always there for him and he was forever grateful to have someone as amazing as you in his life.

He was taken out of his thoughts at the sight of your bubbly frame making your way towards him with a beaming smile on your face.

“You kick his ass?” He laughed as your arms wrapped around him, his hand that wasn’t holding his drink wrapping around your waist to pull you into his side.

Something was up, you had been sick all week and you couldn’t take it anymore. All the guys besides Alex had gone out to golf, having a late night before hand the Kings player decided to stay in.

“Why don’t we run to urgent Care? You could have a real bad case of food poisoning and you and Cole are supposed to leave in three days” He tried.

“Okay fine, let me get ready” you spoke finally agreeing with the boy who had been pushing you to go to the doctors after three days of consistent puking.

You were sat in the room with Alex in the chair next to you, they had wrote all of your symptoms down and had taken blood and urine samples.

“This is taking forever” you grumbled, a hand subconsciously rubbing over your stomach.

Just as you were about to issue another complaint the door opened and the doctor came in with a worried expression on her face.

Returning home you found Cole and Jacks cars in the driveway meaning everyone was home.

Mumbling a thank you, you made your way up to the Centers bedroom knocking before entering.

“Do we have any ice cream left?” You asked looking over at Cole as he sat on the sectional next to you.

“No I gave you the rest last night” he replied

You two had found the gender a few weeks ago and Cole was beyond excited to be having a baby girl.

“Come on please! I’ll even drive” you offered, doing your best to get the boy to agree with you.

“Yay! Come on” you squealed jumping up and heading to the door and sliding on your crocs and grabbing your car keys.

The ride to the twenty-four hour grocery wasn’t long and you made it there quickly.

“What flavor are you thinking?” He asked as you stood in front of the ice cream section, a look of pure concentration on your face.

“I don’t know, trying to get the baby to send me signals” you groaned knowing it had to hit just right to satisfy the craving.

He laughed, “okay well I’m gonna go grab some chicken while you and our girl pick your flavor” he he smiled softly at your small okay.

Finally after ten minutes you settled on cotton candy and made your way to the meat section to find Cole.

However your happy mood suddenly dropped when you seen what had been taking the boy so long, pretty little brunette.

She stood clad in an outfit not much different then yours, a beautiful smile beaming up at Cole as she made him laugh with something she said-His smile mirroring hers.

You really didn’t have a right to be jealous, you and Cole had both felt that a relationship wouldn’t work between the two of you and that doing this as best friends would be better. But for some reason you couldn’t shake the unsettling feeling in your lower stomach.

Sensing eyes on him Cole turned to find you in a staring contest with the ground, obviously stuck in your thoughts.

The girl had followed his eyes to where you stood, body being swallowed by a hoodie that obviously didn’t belong to you.

“Oh I didn’t know you had a girlfriend” she mumbled stepping back a bit.

“She’s not-it’s complicated” he mumbled.

“On and off again complicated Or?” She asked trying to get him to continue.

“We’re best friends but we did some stuff that ended us in a sticky situation, and now I’m not really sure what we are” he did his best not wanted to expose his entire private life to a stranger.

“Ahh” she nodded before continuing, “well if it’s not a problem with you, I’d like to give you my number” she blushed.

“Yeah sure” he blushed back and handed his phone over.

“Do I look okay?” He questioned stepping out of his room dressed in a nice sweater and jeans.

“You look great” you smiled at the boy.

Cole had began talking to the girl from the grocery store-Sophia was her name, and tonight they had a date.

He nodded in thanks before gathering his things and turning back to you, “You sure you’ll be okay while I’m gone?” He asked

“Yeah, me and Emma are going to grab some pizza and maybe a movie, I’ll be good” you smiled at the boy.

“Okay just call me I-Oh!” He stoped himself and ran back over to you.

“What’s wrong?” You asked with worry at his sudden move.

He ignored you and just leaned down to pull your shirt up over your bump and placed a kiss to the center of your belly.

“Bye sweet girl, be good for mommy” he whispered and placed two more quick kisses to the same spot.

“Had to tell her bye” he shrugged before placing a kiss to your head and heading out the front door.

When Cole returned home that night he found you bundled up and fast asleep on the couch, his heart warmed at the sight. He loved coming home to you and he always would, especially once your baby got here.

Scooping you up in his arms bridal style he carried you to your bedroom, his lips parted in a bright smile at the feeling of you cuddling into his chest.

Cole wasn’t sure what it was that made him do it but next thing he knew he was opening his phone to text Sophia, thanking her for tonight but that he wasn’t really feeling a relationship; it was a shitty lie but he knew the only girls he’d want in his arms were you and your daughter.

“Christ Cole! You scared the shit out of me” you groaned as you turned around to face the blonde.

You had gone into Labor right as the Habs were exiting the plane from their short trip to Ottawa meaning cole rushed in right from the airport, not having time to change out of his suit.

“She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen” he spoke in a soft voice, tears brimming his eyes as he continued to star at his daughter.

“I can’t believe we made that” you laughed

“Thank you” he suddenly said as he turned to face you, face as serious as ever.

“You know when I said to make a move I didn’t mean knock her up” Trevor spoke to his friend as he helped set up the candles on the dock.

“Yeah way to baby trap her Cole” Alex laughed from where he picked the petals off the roses.

“I did not baby trap her!” The blonde exclaimed causing his three friends to laugh.

“Hey we’re not judging man, you got the girl you wanted and found a way to keep her around forever” Jack spoke

“You guys are assholes, now hurry up and finish helping before her and Ellen get back” he replied with a shake of his head.

An hour later Alex was blindfolding you and leading you out the back door of the Lake house towards the dock.

“Turcs what’s going on?” You laughed hearing your daughter giggle at Jack and Trevor behind you two.

“Nothing! Just be quite” he sassed and continued leading you.

“Okay take it off” he whispered and when you did you felt warmth flood your cheeks and tears prick your waterline.

There on the dock stood Cole surrounded by beautiful bouquets of white roses and candles while red petals covered the wood below him.

These past eleven months have made me realize that I want you forever, I Want to go to bed to you and wake up to you everyday, I’m sick of telling people your just my best friend because baby you are way more than that. I’ve spent everyday loving you and I want to do that forever, so what I’m trying to say is, baby will you marry me?”

A sob broke through your and if it wasn’t for the smile on your face and nod of your head Cole would have been panicking.

“Yes, A thousand times yes” you cried as he slipped the breathtaking oval diamond onto your finger; the ring you showed him in college drunk off your ass, telling him that if someone ever proposed you wanted this one.

“I love you so much” you whispered as his cupped your cheeks to pull you into a kiss.

Your short moment was interrupted by Jack running down and jumping on Cole while Trevor handed you your daughter. Your families joined to share hugs and congratulations, both of your mothers smothering you in kisses and sweet words.

“jamie help!”

-in which jamie drysdale saves the day for his girlfriend

a scream was heard in the early hours of the morning in the apartment both trevor zegras and jamie drysdale shared. the previous night, y/n decided to sleep over to spend more time with her loving boyfriend, jamie.

the two slept peacefully in his bedroom while trevor slept in his own. everything was going fine until y/n woke up early merely by accident. she stared at her boyfriend intently, taking in his adorable features and thinking about his personality she instantly fell in love with.

then, like all mornings go, y/n felt thirsty, so she placed a soft kiss on jamie’s cheek and quietly got out of bed, tip toeing to the kitchen/dining room. her feet felt cold against the floor and the change of scenery was felt against her bare legs as she walked in nothing but jamie’s shirt and undergarments.

y/n walked over to the sink where she went to grab a cup but something deceived her. she gasped and let out a scream as she barely spared a glance at the cockroach and quickly ran a decent amount of space away from where it was placated. “jamie help!” y/n screamed in hopes that her boyfriend would wake up and save her from the evil monster on the counter.

quick footsteps were heard from both trevor and jamie’s rooms as both guys stepped out full on ready to beat someone up, little did they know all they needed to do was kill a roach.

“baby what’s wrong?” jamie ran out tiredly yet so awake just for his girl. when he saw there was no immediate danger, he let his guard down and so did trevor who could barely keep his eyes open but didn’t mind helping his best friend’s girl whom he also begun to grow really close with.

tears prickled in the corner of y/n’s eyes as she made nervous steps in place and grabbed onto the biceps of her boyfriend “there’s a roach jamie.”

at that sentence, jamie relaxed his shoulders and kissed y/n’s forehead. “go sit on the couch n/n, me and trevor will kill it.”

“and trevor?” trevor restated in third person.

“yes, and you. uhm.. give me your slides.” jamie watched in the corner of his eye as his adorable, loving girlfriend scrunched her toes and sat on the couch. when he looked to where y/n said it was, he noticed that the roach had moved so he had to move quicker.

“why the fuck am i giving you my slides jimmy.” trevor slightly panicked but without hesitation went to grab his slides that where laying next to the couch. he gave one shoe to jamie and kept the other securely in his hand.

jamie slowly crept closer to the roach. he looked practically dead-eye at the thing that made his girlfriend cry and panic and it looked right back at him. jamie swung at the bug, expecting it to be a quick and easy job, but oh he thought very wrong.

instead of simply deciding to accept it’s fate, the cockroach decided to fight back. the bug ran away as soon as trevor’s slide hit the counter where it was supposed to be. the bug then scurried down the counter and onto the floor where it ran straight towards trevor.

trevor’s eyes widened in fear and he ran possibly the fastest he’s ever ran before as he and y/n both screamed when he joined her—but standing—on the couch. y/n pulled her feet up onto the couch and held her arms around her legs in comfort.

“little fucker is trying to get me!” trevor screamed in fear. jamie tried his oh-so-hardest to not stop everything right there and burst out laughing at his best friend.

when the roach found out it had nowhere to go, it decided to attempt to scurry to a wall where it would make its escape. but thankfully, in all his boyfriend-ness, jamie ran to the roach and slammed trevor’s (expensive) slide right down on it’s body, and just for good measure, and to assure to both his girlfriend and best friend that it was dead, he slapped it once more.

he quickly went to grab a paper towel where he picked up the dead bug (and tried not to cringe at the feeling through the paper towel) and threw the remains out in the garbage before going to his girlfriend to comfort her.

like a koala, y/n was picked up by jamie and she securely wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his neck. she too laid her head in the crook of his neck and mumbled “thank you for waking up to do this, you too trevor.”

with her words being just loud enough for trevor to hear, with a shaky breath, trevor said, “it was all jamie but you’re welcome n/n” he awkwardly chuckled as he finally got off the couch.

that’s when—while still holding his girl—jamie doubled down and bursted out laughing at his best friend. at some point he began to gasp for air and both y/n and trevor joined him in laughing. “that shit chased you.” jamie died of laughter, making his girlfriend and best friend die at both his laughter and the reason for it.

“why’d you come out here this early either way?” trevor asked y/n after the trio’s laughter died down.

“i wanted water.” y/n sighed, she now noticed how dry her mouth was.

trevor walked over to the sink to get water for y/n and then handed it to the girl. he then carefully and cautiously took the other slide from jamie “okay you guys go back to bed, i’m gonna clean this shit so fucking good right now.” his words earned a laugh from both jamie and y/n before they said their good nights and headed back to jamie’s room.

“thank you for saving me my knight in shining armor.”

jamie kissed his girlfriend sweetly “you’re welcome baby.”

I think that everyone has their person. The one who makes them feel safe and loved. No matter how hard I try to feel differently Jack Rowden Hughes is that person for me.

We met freshman year of Highschool and we became fast friends. I was great at school and he was good at.. buying me food. Actually he was amazing at everything besides school but that didn’t matter because I completed him in that area. He is funny, kind, and knows how to make me feel special.

Girls began to notice Jack quickly. I was never put on the back burner but I also realized that I was never going to be one of those girls. The ones he dated. I was the one he played monopoly with at the lake. It hurt for a while but guys never saw me that way anyway.

Until one did. Alex Turcotte was always sweet and stoic, exactly the kind of guy I would usually want. For years I was blinded by Jack and I didn’t notice Alex.

Then last year he pulled me aside at the lake house confessing to me a crush he had had for a while. We had a summer fling and it was perfect.

Until today when Alex texted me to ask me why I wasn’t in the Lake House groupchat anymore. Apparently Jack took me out without telling me.

So I stormed over to his house. When the door swings open I can see him tense. “Hey y/n, what’s up?” He asks hesitantly.

“Not much Jack I just came here to ask what’s going on with you. Since last summer you’ve been really off with me and now I’m not invited to the lake. Did I do something wrong?” I thought I would sound angry but I just sounded hurt.

His hands went up to his eyes rubbing them in frustration. “I just don’t want you to go this year okay? Can you just accept that? How did you even find out anyway?”

“Alex told me -”

“Of course he did.” Jack interrupts. His voice has an edge to it I’ve never heard him use with me.

“Yeah he did but that doesn’t matter. You should have told me. You’re my best friend and you won’t even talk to me when somethings wrong. Why are you shutting me out?”

He sighs, “You’ve always been more than a friend to me, I just didn’t have the courage to admit it, and now I’ve lost you. So yeah I don’t want to see your face all summer and remind myself of how bad I screwed up. Can you please just leave.”

He closes the door on my face as tears fall from my eyes. I immediately grab my phone to call Alex.

The next night I finally gather my courage to go back to his house. It’s late probably around midnight and I know my face is still red from crying but I don’t much care.

I walk up to his door and knock until he opens the door. “Y/n what are you -” I don’t let him finish his sentence before I press his lips to mine.

I’ve never kissed like this before. With Alex it was slow, sweet, and exploring. With jack we were attacking each other. All the tension, aggression, and passion was colliding into this kiss. Before long I was pulled into his house door closed behind me.

He pushes me up against the door and breaks the kiss. “What about Alex. I love you but please tell me you’re not cheating on Alex.” He says breathlessly.

“I called him yesterday breaking it off. He was fine with it, we were always more friends then anything.” I hurry out desperate to feel him on me once again. My brain catches up a moment later. “Wait you love me?”

His hands still clutching my hips he pulls me closer, “Of course I love you, do you love me?”

“I love you so much I can barely breathe.” I admit.

the whole idea of “no strings” grew harder for me everyday. we call it even. he can have whoever he wants during the week and i do the same. none of these hookups filled the void like he does, but again, we’ve called it even. we made a deal. this pact has lasted a long time and i didn’t notice until now how the effects too are long lasting. after a few hours of sitting in tangible tension and almost complete silence, broken by a few conversations, he finally asked me, “come on baby, you wanna go to your room?”

of course i wasnt going to deny, again its part of the deal and the sex is fantastic but little did i know the emotional toll it would take on me after all this time. this was an every weekend routine. the feeling of him removing my clothes for me and nipping on the skin of my neck felt so intimate but it wasn’t. none of it mattered outside of these walls.

“you’re so beautiful.” he says running his rough callused hands down the sides of my bare torso, knowing he probably says this to at least one other girl during the week. yet i still caved at the sound of his voice praising me.

“thank you alex.” i say wrapping my arms around his neck to hug him, which he accepts. bare chest to bare chest. i hated this feeling. everything with him felt so intimate but i knew on sunday morning he’d leave with a short kiss and i wouldn’t see him again until some other friday in a week or so.

oh how my heart grew so heavy at this thought.

i wish i could have him for the weekdays too…. but i guess at least he always finds his way back to me.
