I know it’s probably heavily influenced by nostalgia, but by god nobody does it like Batman: the Animated Series does
#batman the animated series#rewatching it from the beginning rn and it’s just like#Alan Moore caricature held up by the Joker and called a ham#Adam West guest stars as an older hero who inspired Batman#Bruce Wayne has so much compassion even as he mostly seems to flit between volunteering at soup kitchens and going to charity galas#where he gets auctioned off#and Alfred is there making sassy comments and goofing off#(it goes without saying that Kevin Conroy is a fucking treasure)
