Yusei x Akiza bc you know his thing, whatever it is, with Jack and Crow is very open. And it’s not like Jack “I don’t have time for your stupid feeling talks” Atlas and Crow “I have too much love to give out” Hogan particularly mind bc 1) they for sure have other partners and 2) They love Akiza (platonically but anyways) and 3) their bond with Yusei is different than his with Akiza and they get how different types of bonds can be powerful in their own ways

Akiza x Sherry bc they bond over being woman turbo duelists in a very testosterone heavy world and then eventually hang out and meet for lunch and hang out for so long they do dinner and then drinks after and Sherry is just so flirty and every time she sees Akiza’s blush she wants to see how far down it goes.

Akiza x Yusei that’s playful and focused on each other, going on fun dates and turbo dueling and just getting each other so innately. Akiza x Yusei that’s full of him calling her beautiful because he legitimately can’t comprehend how such beauty is allowed to exist in one person. Friends to lovers Akiza x Yusei that can be serious and deep with each other and understand each other through duels and sit on bridges at late hours and talk about everything or talk about nothing and relish each other’s presence.

Akiza x Sherry that is bold and brash and playful, who challenge each other constantly. Whose banter is never ending and who will tease each other to get them to do things the other one wants. Akiza x Sherry who take the dueling world by storm and hold their ground for each other and for all future female duelists, who are relentless and passionate about everything in their lives including each other

Why I like them/why I don’t: HE'S...MY... COMFORT CHARACTER!! *TELEKINESIS THROWING EVERYTHING AROUND THE ROOM* primo is just... really the kind of character that makes me insane thinking about him. what if you were a robotic clone of an old man's young adult trauma and you were also an archangel from the future but God didn't really like you very much and you also constantly beef with your coworkers, one of which is a child, and theyre both also you. what if you wanted to fulfill your purpose and die so so so bad. what if you had a KICKASS SWORD. WHAT IF YOU WERE A KNIGHT BUT ALSO A MOTORCYCLE. WHAT IF YOU SOUNDED LIKE SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG. EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS BONKERS. IT'S GREAT. HE'S RIDICULOUS.

What I like about their appearance: like. it's a very cool design. and it also sucks ass. his hair is so fucking stupid. his heeled boots have turned so many people's brains into complete mush. slash neg. he is literally italian flag colored. i love his freaky robot ass. i think my favorite feature of his is the aforementioned awful haircut and also his edgy red eyes. <3 computer bring up the image again

Do I prefer their dub names or original names?: im more 'can go either way' with lesterlucciano and jakobjose but Primo is Primo Forever to me. placido is Fine but i do think for once the dub gave the character an even more fitting name. though god knows at this point i barely call him by his name and instead a bunch of goofy nicknames like he's my pet. peemo. peem. pipi.

OTP: well my silly goose ass fucked around and got attached to a nicheship (yuseiprimo) (highsidershipping) (you know it's dire when You Named the Ship.) so here i am. i just like them a lot. accidentally got a crush on my maddening human rival and now i must swing a sword around about it. theres so much AU slow burn in my brain about them

OT3: yusei/primo/antinomy goes pretty hard, i can appreciate it. yusei and two guys who cant stand each other but have found themselves potentially unwaveringly loyal to him. it's a bit of the yuma/shark/vector type deal.

Favourite card they use: OF COURSE IT'S EMPEROR WISEL but especially after it absorbs Stardust DRagon and has the freak ghost dragon sword arm thing going on.... it's so cool that they made a Wisel card that's inspired by that i love when the card game does that.

Favourite moment they were in: A.) when he got cut in half. because holy shit. but more importantly B.) when he's gloating about his stupid robot army in that warehouse and Jakob calls him to yell at him about going against the plan and Primo is just looking away from Jakob's monitor like a dog that just got busted digging through the trash. this may be one of the funniest ygo screencaps im not kidding

Least favourite moment: all of that STUPID SHIT with team catastrophe and the stupid hook card that makes you crash your bike and all the scheming he did that ended up deleting akiza's powers. MISOGYNY. AND ALSO JUST KIND OF DUMB.

My first 5D's ask for this askmeme! And Sherry too, how unexpected!

How I feel about this character: I like her. :) Mostly in the post-series fanon I created for 5D's, lmao. I think there's a lot to explore about her outside of seeking revenge and the truth about her parents' death. She presents as a femme fatal character, but I really appreciate the ending of 5D's looking into her as someone who just wants her parents back. I think her duel with Crow and Akiza really allowed her to reconciled with that scared, grieving girl inside, allowing her to move on. I like that. I like characters who grow when they accept both who they were and who they built themselves to be.

In my fanon, I gave her some more closure about her family: Sherry finds some letters addressed to her mother from an aunt she never of, an aunt named Emily Atlas. (You can read here: Lost & Found, Ch. 1.)

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Kaz—if you think I'm joking, I'm not, lmao. It started as a crack ship because I thought it would be hilarious for Jack to be the commonality in a meet-cute between two of his best friends. Now, it has now become REAL to me.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: JACK—they hang out often whenever Sherry is back in town, and they love to shit on each other (IN FRENCH). Also, Akiza because Sherry would not let Akiza be friendless!

My unpopular opinion about this character: Maybe not an opinion but more of a headcanon—I headcanon Sherry to be a WLW-leaning bisexual. She likes to flirt with women, lmao, because she's such a knight in shiny armor/gentleman kind of woman; however, she does expresses interest in men, though not as much as women.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: (Shit, I forgot to answer this.) Can't really thing of anything except maybe wished she spoke some French, probably with Elsworth.

Anzu Mazaki/Tea Gardner: Decades of her being called "the friendship slut" have hardened your skin into diamond armor. You’re something of a purist for DM, and have almost definitely read the manga. You probably enjoy shipping her with some stripe of Yugi or Atem. You're very prideful of the fact that she technically has a perfect win record, and mention this fact at every opportunity whenever someone makes fun of her. Aki Izayoi/Akiza Izinski (likes the second half of the series): You are pretty chill, and almost definitely a Faithshipper. You’re very fond of doing all kinds of scenarios of their first meeting. You write at least one thing per day appreciating her development. You really, really like the rollerskates episode. You get really sad during the ending, but you know in your heart of hearts that they definitely kissed offscreen.

Aki Izayoi/Akiza Izinski (dislikes the second half of the series): You got the taste of a girl who was straight-up unhinged, and you've been chasing that high ever since. You find bondage jokes incredibly funny. You have at least one very strong opinion about Crow. Despite your feelings on the second half, you have a soft spot for Sherry. To this day, her battle theme still generates a Pavlovian response of swooning tears in you.

Kotori Mizuki/Tori Meadows: The diamond armor of Anzu fans compares not to the adamantium fortress assembled about you. You are very adamant that a character doesn’t have to be a Duelist to contribute to the plot, though you still admit you prefer her concept over her execution. You really wish the creators weren’t Like That with her. You either ship her with Yuma very wholesomely, or ship her with other characters out of spite. You enjoy “incorrect ZEXAL quotes” blogs.

Yuzu Hiragi/Zuzu Boyle: You are almost certainly a Fruitshipper, or you were one while ARC-V was running. You fondly recall the days when she was half-jokingly labeled the protagonist. Mostly, you just really want your daughter to be happy, though you would also settle for Melodious being playable. You read a whole lot of fanfiction, with your favorites being either pure fluff or retellings of the post-Standard arcs. The ending of the manga caused you to quit the fandom for about a week.

Aoi Zaizen/Skye Zaizen: You resist the urge to type the “Hate” monologue from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream when asked your feelings on the show’s writers. Much like Aoi, you entered with high hopes and had your soul crushed, and you are now a bitter shell. You have mapped out Aoi’s psychological state to a frightening degree, and found she shares at least half your disorders, especially depression. You console yourself with Zinniashipping and Hatsune Miku jokes.

Romin Kirishima: You actually tried Sevens when it started, found yourself liking it a fair bit, and are now desperately trying to convince your friends to watch it too. You’re very proud of the fact that she’s the first girl to beat a protagonist fairly and mention it a lot, but you’re currently very anxious about her future. Mostly, you just like anything that can be described as “pastel goth.” You like her design and deck, but are very weirded-out by the fact that she’s supposed to be eleven.

5Ds Boys Falling For Their Best Friend

Yusei Fudo: Yusei honestly has a vague concept of love. He only really felt love for his friends and Martha, so why does with you he feels different for his love for like Crow, Jack, and even Akiza? His heart kicks into overdrive when he is around you, you're his best friend so that must be it...right? He goes to Martha and asks her for her input on the situation, he needed a female's touch on it. When Martha said that he loves you he is genuinely confused. Like he loves you already, he knows that and he treats you like he does with the others. That was when Martha had to explain to him that it is deeper than how he is with his other friends, this is someone he would want to spend the rest of his life with. With this new information, he tries his best to treat you not like a friend but something more. Jack and Crow notice this and tease him endlessly about it. He honestly isn't embarrassed about it one bit, once he gets the concept of love he takes it 110% seriously. He wants to be very sure that you are willing to go the next step and will constantly ask hypothetical questions to hide the fact that he is getting information for future reference. 'Is there any guy you like?' 'Do I know him?' and the classic 'Is there certain qualities you like in a guy?'. When he feels confident with the information he's gathered he'd be ready to tell you how he feels. He wouldn't mind if you accept or reject him as long as nothing bad happens to your relationship in general. If you are happy, he is as well. Oh my god when you accept he gets this gorgeous smile that deserves to be posted on every billboard for the world to see. He promises to take care of you for however long you desire.

Crow Hogan: He is honestly a trainwreck when he gets the feeling that he is in love with you. He doesn't have any experience with women, like he has friends who are females (like you and Akiza) but he never ever dated. Sometimes he likes to make it seem like he's a dating expert, faking that he has experience, poor guy is a total novice. He honestly convinces himself multiple times that you only see him as a friend and that is all that you'll ever see him as. He hides all his nervousness around you with his humor and thinks you don't suspect a thing. Jack notices and oh boy prepare for a flame war between these two. Jack calling Crow a coward for not telling you his feelings an hour straight was probably the biggest argument you have ever seen from them. To be honest you already figured Crow felt something more for you because he's not really good at keeping secrets (even if it's his own) and because he talks about you in his sleep. You decided to let Crow tell you when he wants to tell you, it would be better this way and so he can actually prove himself to not be a coward. It honestly doesn't take to long for Crow to come back and share his feelings. Well...more like stutters through and tries to make it seem like he's confident about it. He at least tries! It's the effort that counts and he will always be there for you no matter what! Also prepare for humorous pick up lines, when he knows that you share the same feelings as him, he'll use those frequently thinking they are hilarious while they are mostly cheesy and somewhat ridiculous. He really cares about you and will not be afraid to share his thoughts in serious moments.

Jack Atlas: He completely hides and denies that fact when Crow tells Jack that he is in love with you. He is used to shutting down his romantic feelings thinking they are nothing but a waste of time. It's also because of the fact that you are his friend, you accept him for him and not because he was a Dueling Champion...god damn it he loves you. He wants to share his feelings oh trust me he really does but he is afraid that it will make him feel weak. You make him feel weak. He tries to think of all the reasons not to fall in love with you, that your obnoxious, you always go along with Crow's antics, you care too much about others. They all are blown into the wind as he actually loves all of those things about you...okay maybe not the one with Crow but almost all of them. He actually goes around asking all of the girls he knows (limited to only Luna, Carly, Akiza and Mina) tips on how to show you how he feels (even to the dismay of Carly and Mina but they want him happy and agreed to help). All of them pretty much told him to be himself but would you really like him as himself? He knows how blunt, sarcastic and egotistical he can be and some people don't like those kind of qualities. He is actually full on prepared to be rejected honestly, as much as he loves you, he can't imagine ever having his feelings returned. Nobody actually has really gave him actual romantic love, it always felt like everybody just worshipped him as if he's on a higher tier. He's probably the only one out of everyone that literally gets flowers and hopes they understand what he is trying to say right away so he doesn't actually have to say 'I love you'. When you think he's just pulling a kind gesture he literally yells at you that he loves you and that you are different than how the other girls treat him. When you accept everyone and I mean EVERYONE sees how much nicer and softer Jack has become, honestly scares Crow and thinks that this is just another clone of Jack (except you know not an evil version). Jack literally treats you with so much respect and is so dedicated that it's so pure and beautiful.

Kalin Kessler: Oh god help this poor boy. Has no idea what to do when he feels these kinds of emotions for you. He probably thinks he's having a heart attack or something so he quickly gets a hold of Yusei and his other former team members and asked them about these feelings. Crow's laughing and Yusei assures Kalin that these feelings are not life threatening and it means he holds you very close to his heart. Kalin always appreciated your friendship and how you continued to still help him come to terms with all the bad things he had previously done. He thought you would run away and want nothing to do with him after he told you. He was honestly over the moon that you stayed and really put so much in you friendship. Now with these newfound feelings he has to think of where to start, he never had any romantic encounter before, hell he never even thought about romance before. How would he treat you differently? What gestures could he do to show you that he sees you as more than a friend. He will probably ask Nico for help because she's a girl and really one of the only girls he really talks to. When she said to give you flowers and do small subtle things that would give you hints that he loves you. Is at the flower shop for a solid hour and a half trying to think of what kind of flowers you'll like, he really takes this seriously...well he takes almost everything seriously. He did as he was told, got you flowers, started you hold your hand whenever you two walk around Satisfaction Town, teaches you to duel, small things that show you he enjoys your company but not enough to send the actual message. One day while watching the sunset, he decided to serenade you with his harmonica, playing a beautiful tune that he grew familiar with, after the performance, he tells you how much you mean to him and that he hopes you feel the same way. When you say that you feel the same the poor boy almost cried, he is forever grateful that someone like him was able to find someone like you. He cherishes you everyday, please never leave him and keep him safe at all cost.

Leo: When he finds out he is in love with you, prepare for him to be constantly hunting you down for attention. He thinks that showing off will automatically show you that he loves you, Luna notices this and sees that her brother needs help. A lot of help. She is actually the one who tells you about her brother's feelings for you so you could at least help him out a bit because as mature as he can be...love is something not up his alley. You honestly just go along with whatever antics he has in store, watching him duel, him doing some sort of trick on his duel runner, and then saying how impressed you are and how talented he is. He eats it up and slowly and surely believes that you share the same feelings he does. The way he confesses is honestly one of the greatest things ever, he would take you to a trip down memory lane talking about how you met at Duel Academy and how you always helped him when he was down, even when he was very nervous when he told you about the Signers and how he became one. He thanks you for everything and being his best friend, then proceeds to ask if you wanted to be his girlfriend. You wondered what the heck happened to Leo, you never saw him as the poetic type but it just proves that he is serious about taking this step with you. When you accept he is so happy that he tells Yusei about his accomplishment...and then proceeds to go and basically tell all of New Domino City. This boy is one of a kind, love him and appreciate him that's all he needs.
