(Kokushibo x hashira!fem!reader, slight spoilers for his backstory)

Every night, at the exact same time, you would hear a soft knock on your bedroom door. A large, dark figure stood in your garden, waiting to be let inside. But after sliding your door aside, you were greeted by your boyfriend’s six eyes staring back at you.

“My moonlight.”

His voice was deep and would rumble in his chest, making you shiver. After inviting your demon inside, the bedroom lights would illuminate his face. Six eyes staring expectantly at you, waiting for something. As a sign of trust, the demon would close his upper and lower two eyes, only leaving the ones in the center. He looked less demonic, perhaps he’s trying to please you by trying to look more human?

“Kokushibo.”

Your voice felt like a soothing melody to him. It calmed his mind, soul and body in an instant. When you cup Kokushibo’s cheeks, he fully leaned into your touch. He misses being with you during the day and having you close to him. Kokushibo leaned closer to your face, admiring your features. When his lips met yours, Kokushibo sighed softly. Your lips felt warm and moist, so welcoming. So intoxicating.

His cold hands would carefully hover over your neck, slowly setting down on your collarbone. Kokushibo opened all six of his eyes and let his mind engrave a portrait of you into his memory. He cannot remember his late wife, kids, friends or family. Just of his damned brother. But he wants to remember you, so that when the time comes that you are not around, Kokushibo would cherish every single memory, every single time he saw your face, felt your hands, lips, hair, for all eternity.

Ever since Kokushibo fell for you, he followed Akaza’s path and avoided eating women, and eating humans entirely. He tries to deprave himself from consuming human flesh until he absolutely needs it. He feels like he would dirty or taint you if he kisses you with the same mouth he consumes humans with. Luckily, Muzan hasn’t noticed his new diet yet. Or rather the lack of it.

Kokushibo is an extremely jealous man, and even thinking about other hashira flirting with you, makes him feel incredible rage. You can’t tell any of your colleagues about your relationship since you can’t really openly talk about dating the number 2 worst enemy of you all. So instead of telling your hashira with words that you are not single, Kokushibo took it upon himself to demonstrate it on your body.

He will nibble and kiss your whole neck, leaving obvious hickeys in places where you cannot hide them. Kokushibo enjoys making you squirm while he does this, taking pleasure from your whining and complaining. He will hold you close, holding you by your waist and neck while doing this affectionate assault.

Your skin is the sweetest, forbidden fruit he has ever tasted, and Kokushibo is incredibly grateful that he is the only man that ever experience you like this. He will make sure that he is going to be the only and the last man to ever experience you like this.

He hardly even knew smaller boobs existed . Sure he knew they Did but big was average to him. So I can definitely see him being more of a tits guy just by nature of his environment.

He's an asshole though , bless his heart. Very much the type to just like. Lightly swat at your boob when you annoy him or catch him off guard.

Laughs if your chest is sensitive, and he will abuse that knowledge. Going out of his way to find situations to tease about it.

He however also knows the downsides of having them as well. Considering he's a brother to a sister in a similar predicament as you. Back pain or whatever.

He often has Daki bringing you warm compresses or bags of rice to rest on your lower back. When she doesn't cry about it, she's actually surprisingly understanding about the whole situation. Not that she'd say that through her pride.

- this man is not a cuddler. In fact he would either yell at you or push you away, it just has to be a good day when you hold him like this

- will yell at you in embarrassment if you bring up the times he's let you spoon him

Karaku

- big spoon

- he finds a lot of comfort in your holding boobs but it doesn't mean it sexually (sometimes). His hands will go up your top just to cup your boobs, not caring about the size he just likes hugging in this position to do so

💚Them also learning that she has a love for cats imagine them learning that she at home isn't allowed tho have cats because she snuk 100+ cats in the house and now they are no l in hell the keep collecting cats.

Modern AU, kinda. Female Reader

Muzan Kibutsuji

Upon learning that you were a different kind of demon, he is intrigued and also very envious. You can go out into the sun without worrying about dying. Now, not only were you a demon, you were the Avatar of Wrath: a sin that Muzan indulges in the most. 

He loves quiet little dates between the two of you. You both live a very domestic lifestyle, and you are often in an armchair with a cat in your lap as you read a book. He has been a witness to your love of cats, but only allows you to keep 2. It’s in these moments where he wonders why you are the Avatar of Wrath.

Then, there’s the screaming matches between the two of you. Sometimes, you can’t help but feel like his envy of your ability to go out in daylight is getting in the way of your relationship, and it causes a rift between you. You’ve thrown books, chairs, heads, and Michael Jackson had to admit that even he never had the strength that you did when you were angry.

Honestly, you both are a very old-timey couple but in a more disturbing way. You both slow-dance in the kitchen, not even considering the amount of lives lost at your hands. All that matters is the love flowing between the two of you as you sway from side to side.

Douma

He’s very interested in the difference between the two of you. For starters, you don’t eat flesh, you eat souls. He eats flesh, and you find it kind of gross. You eventually get used to it though. I feel like he gets turned on when your Wrath comes out.

Douma often finds himself jealous of the cats and books you like to give all your attention to. He will pout, he will cling to you, he will bug you, etc. If you tell him to lay his head on your lap as you read aloud, he will gladly do so. Bring his hand to your lips and place a kiss and he feels very giddy and happy.

Mans tries his best not to make you angry, but he has a tendency to not take things very seriously, which could piss you off. He once even compared you to Lucifer. He had never seen anger like yours, and you even shifted into your demon form as you threw things at him. Afterwards, he would get you some flowers and another book as an apology.

In the household, you have three cats. Since demons don’t really need sleep, you both just bask in each other’s company. A lot of the time, you both just sit with each other in the living room, sometimes talking to each other. His followers also worship you, by the way.

Akaza

You were strong, and that’s what he admired. As the Avatar of Wrath, you were even stronger than Muzan Kibutsuji. You had the ability to walk in the sun, and you had a demon form that just screamed power. It was no wonder that Akaza was completely smitten with you.

He finds your extreme love for cats absolutely adorable, and in your home you just have one or two (the second isn’t official, but he does come around every day). You two can often be found either playing with one of the cats or you reading while he has you in between his legs and lays his head on your shoulder.

The first time he saw you angry, it was when he had almost got burned in the sun after he killed Rengoku, the Flame Hashira. You were worried sick since you saw the sun coming up, and you slapped him for being so reckless while you were yelling at him simultaneously. He didn’t take it to heart, since he knew that it was because you cared, but it still kind of hurt.

After the issue was resolved, he laid on the couch as you laid on top of him. You placed your ear where his heart was, and while you couldn’t hear it beat you could feel his chest moving up and down as he breathed. It had the same effect on you, and you could feel yourself calming down.

Daki

You both originally never got along, considering that you stole the attention of Muzan. However, after the initial meeting, you both grew closer. You were an enforcer in the ranks, which was weird because you had the power to overthrow the demon lord. What Daki didn’t know was that you stuck around for her.

I feel like she would love to keep a pet, and so you both adopted a single cat. You, of course, wanted more but reasoned that it would be smart to start off with just one. And let me tell you, this cat is spoiled. Oftentimes, the feline lays on Daki’s stomach as she lays her head in your lap while you read a story to her.

Now, your fights are more like wars. When you go into a screaming match, no one wins because both of your voices get scratchy. However, you never want to go to bed angry, so you often set aside your pride and apologize. You both clean up the destruction caused, and it’s all back to normal.

Her favorite stories are often ones where the princess is saved because she wishes she could have gotten that as a child. She likes to close her eyes and imagine herself being rescued by you, just like how it was in reality.

Gyutaro

Again, you both did not initially get along. It wasn’t until Douma said you were just like your oldest brother that Gyutaro truly understood who you were. You lashed out in anger, even managing to lay a hand on Muzan out of just pure rage. 

He definitely gets jealous of the cats that you spend a lot of time with. You have 3 in total, and while it does offer him a domestic vibe in your house, the furballs take all of your attention. He’s touch-starved and insecure, so please don’t leave him alone.

Every couple has their fights, but yours are by far the worst. Gyutaro often tries to guilt-trip you by clawing into his skin and blaming you, while you are also pretty manipulative. Either way, both sides’ emotions are dependent on each other.

Now, he would never tell you this, but he grows soft for you. If you run your hands through his hair as you read a book aloud to him and your cats, he is just so in love. I know a lot of you are Gyutaro simps, and he simps right back. Congratulations.

Recently, Muzan has been sleeping in the most random places. When it first happened, the Upper Moons were terrified that he was injured because who sleeps in a cabinet on their free will? Muzan does, after that incident, he was found sleeping under the tables, in the pantry, and even on top of the fridge!

𝐃𝐚𝐤𝐢

At first, she was alarmed and worried since she thought Muzan was scared of something or was injured.

Once she found out that he would just fall asleep when he was sleeping no matter where he was, she thought it was the most adorable thing in the world

Whenever she found him sleeping somewhere random, she would smile so much and watch over him in case someone (*cough cough* Doma) would disturb his sleep

She would attempt to sleep in random places with him but it was uncomfortable no matter what she did

𝐆𝐲𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐨

He was concerned when he just saw Muzan under the table not moving, he thought he was dead at first but felt extremely relieved when he found out that Muzan just sleeps anywhere

He thought it was odd but never judged him since it wasn’t hurting anyone plus it made Muzan happy

Whenever Gyutaro saw Muzan sleeping somewhere peculiar, he would just shrug and walk off

When he saw Daki try to sleep in the random places with Muzan, he thought it was adorable and felt like he was also Muzan’s older brother

𝐆𝐲𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐨

He was shocked and frightened from the sight of Muzan in the sink not moving, millions of different scenarios raced through his mind and he did not know what to do

He was super thankful when he learned that Muzan was just sleeping in the sink and not a rotting corpse

He thought this habit of his was amusing and would make art projects inspired by Muzan’s sleeping habits

Gyokko began comparing Muzan’s behavior to a cat and it warmed his heart even more

𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮

HE. WOULD. FLIP. OUT. He thought he was dead and immediately began panicking and bawling his eyes out until Muzan woke up.

He would have a heart attack every single time he saw Muzan sleep in some random spot like on top of the fridge, no matter how many times it happened, he thought he was dead every single time.

The other Upper Moons would have to make sure Hantengu was not in the same place Muzan was because they did not want to hear him have another mental breakdown or wake up Muzan

Every time he turned a corner, he prayed to whatever god he believed in that he would not see Muzan sleeping somewhere because he knew he was going to have another heart attack

𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐦𝐞

She was intrigued by Muzan’s behavior since she’s never seen anyone being comfortable enough to fall asleep in places such as the pantry.

She would let a small smile appear whenever she caught sight of Muzan sleeping somewhere odd, she thought it was a childish yet innocent act.

She would also watch over him and would teleport him somewhere else if something threatened to disturb his sleep

Muzan’s new habit caused Nakime to become more protective over him because she saw how vulnerable he could be

𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐳𝐚

He was hella confused and angry? The second he saw Muzan on top of the fridge, he immediately began to blame Doma because he thought he did something to Muzan

Even when Akaza found out that it was just something Muzan did, Akaza still shot nasty glares at Doma

Whenever Muzan slept somewhere, Akaza would stand guard and the second he saw Doma, he would charge at him full speed

Akaza would kill pretty much anyone who dared to disturb or mock Muzan’s sleeping habits

𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐚

He thought it was adorable and when he went to go sleep next to Muzan under the table, Akaza would yank him back and drag him away

Doma never even got the chance to go near Muzan when he was sleeping because Akaza would chase after him

Doma eventually thought of this as a funny game and would purposely make Akaza chase him while he laughed

Doma laughed hysterically when Akaza yelled curses at him or tried to shove him, Doma thought of this as a fun way to get to know each other while Akaza was out to kill him

𝐊𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐨

Kokoshibo would silently have a panic attack but immediately calmed down when he learned that it was a habit of Muzan

Kokoshibo would make sure that the area was well cleaned before Muzan slept there, he didn’t want to risk Muzan getting sick or an infection

Kokoshibo would have to be the one to stop Doma and Akaza from running around since all their noises could wake up Muzan

Kokoshibo became the father figure for Muzan, Doma and Akaza since he would have to take care of them and discipline Doma and Akaza if they woke up Muzan

DEMON SLAYER HEADCANONS except it's stupid things I've done as a child

Basically what the title says, this is a little chaotic and it made me realise that I was a seriously weird kid😭 repost cause smth went wrong!!

🩷 Zenitsu once saw an open chocolate bar on the table and decided to take a small bit out of it. He then realised that it was one of those nasty yogurt health bars, he threw up afterwards

(he blamed the missing bite on inosuke afterwards).

🩷 Mitsuri was sort of a pick me as she would say things like "Only guys get my humour" or "Guys are much less drama" just so she could get more guys attention...

🩷 Inosuke ran into a road filled with driving cars when he was two, his care taker had to run and beg cars to stop driving so he could get hold of inosuke. Inosuke was somehow unharmed.

🩷 Sanemi once got so angry at Genya when they were younger that Sanemi took Genya's tablet and punched the screen so hard until it broke.

🩷 Genya thoroughly enjoyed eating lip balm, he still to this day will have a habit of licking his lips immediately after applying some

🩷 Muichirou was terrified of FNAF and Yuichirou would often hide in his closet at night and would jump out at him like that one foxy jumpscare😭. Muichirou did not feel safe at night afterwards...

🩷 Obanai was scared shitless of cats when he was younger and once when he saw a cat on the sidewalk he was walking on he ran into the road screaming to the other side of the road to get away from it.

🩷 Nezuko refuses to sleep at night unless it is with all of her toys, even those small plastic ones because she feared they would all feel left out and stop liking her which made her sad :(

🩷 Muichirou for some reason memorised the whole Cat In the Hat movie script and would take videos of himself saying it word for word.

🩷 Rengoku helped a little girl go down a slide because it was obvious that she was scared. After that she then followed Rengoku everywhere until her dad took her home <3

🩷 Shinobu was caught watching gay ship amvs of her favourite cartoon on her tablet by Kanae. She cried the whole day, begging Kanae not to get her in trouble.

🩷 When Genya was little there was this small bowl and spoon that they would dish sugar out of. Genya would take that spoonful of sugar and eat it secretly. He was immediately caught because the spoon would be wet from his drool💀

🩷 Shinobu once got so pissed at kanae she " ran away from home" with a little suitcase filled with clothes. She really just went to the backyard where she sat down in the cold and finally went back in when Kanae called for dinner.

🩷 At night Inosuke would act all crazy and insane before bed so the " demons under his bed" knew that he was on their side💀

🩷 Giyuu was told by his sister that "God can make anything happen" in an uplifting way but instead it made Giyuu paranoid that a tsunami would come out of no where just to spite him for being naughty.

🩷 Sanemi purposefully stepped on a jelly fish at the beach and somehow didn't get stung...(im so sorry)

This time, Akaza doesn't bite him immediately or tells him he needs a little bit of his blood. Instead, he pays him a visit to the inn he's staying in and even says 'hello' to little Nezuko.

"Why did it take you so long?"

Tanjirou explains to him that Genya kept him company during his last mission.

"Actually, about that–" he doesn't get to finish the sentence; Akaza pushes him towards the futon and starts nuzzling him.

Nezuko giggles and gets closer to them for cuddles; Akaza immediately changes their positions so Tanjirou can hug Nezuko while the upper moon cuddles him from behind.

"Are you sure you don't need blood?"

"Maybe... later," the demon mumbles, almost shyly before rubbing his nose against the back of Tanjirou's neck. "I just missed you a lot."

Nezuko goes to sleep during the day and Tanjirou makes sure the windows are completely covered because Akaza refuses to leave his side.

"Did you sleep well?" The upper moon asks, rubbing his nose against Tanjirou's cheek.

The redhead is still sleepy, but he makes an effort to open his eyes a bit, the truth is that sleeping next to someone makes him feel warm and fuzzy and it helps him sleep better every single time.

"Yes," he smiles; he rolls on the bed with difficulty because Akaza refuses to untangle himself from him, not even an inch. "Are you sure you want to stay here? Wouldn't it be safer for you to seek refuge in the woods?"

The arms around his waist tighten their grip even more and Tanjirou knows he has his answer then.

"Can I bite your neck this time?" Akaza asks quietly and softly, nuzzling against Tanjirou's cheek like a very affectionate cat.

"You know you can't."

"Fine."

Tanjirou blushes immediately because he knows what comes next; his heart skips a beat as he feels very gentle hands pulling his uniform down.

This time Akaza presses a couple of extra kisses against his tummy and thighs before and after the bite.

"I need to tell you something," Tanjirou finally says in a whisper, once he puts his uniform back on. Akaza sits and pulls him into his lap; his arms are around him with his chin resting on the top of Tanjirou's head.

"Alright."

"Genya saw the bite marks."

"Do you want me to get rid of him?"

"What? No!" Tanjirou blurts out, a little bit alarmed by the sound of determination in Akaza's voice. He didn't even hesitate. "He doesn't know! He thinks I'm dating someone!"

"He thinks we're lovers?" Akaza asks; Tanjirou can't see his face but he smells happy or maybe it's just amusement what Tanjirou can sense coming from him.

"Not 'we' because he doesn't know anything about you; he thinks I met a boy."

Tanjirou turns around (because he can tell that Akaza is not entirely happy at the moment) and sees the upper moon pouting.

"What's the–"

"Wait." Akaza cuts him off, demeanor changing suddenly; he's angry, although Tanjirou can tell he's not mad at him. "How did he see the marks? What was he doing to you?"

"Nothing!" Tanjirou says immediately, trying not to roll his eyes at the demon's protective behavior. Sometimes it seems like he thinks it's his duty to take care of Tanjirou and his sister. "He was helping me undress because I was too tired and hurt to do it myself."

"I could've helped you."

"You couldn't be there, he would've seen you."

Tanjirou thinks about it for a second and moves a little bit until he's facing the demon. Akaza closes his eyes for a moment, rubbing their noses together and relaxing immediately.

"I've been thinking of telling Genya about you. He's a very good person, I know he'd keep our secret. Besides," Tanjirou can't help but chuckle. "It'd be better if he knew because right now he thinks I have an abusive boyfriend."

Akaza looks so outraged at that Tanjirou can't help but laugh again at his expression.

Then they both speak at the same time and everything goes from a very casual conversation to something Tanjirou doesn't quite understand.

"I'd never treat you like that! I'd give you anything you wanted, I'd treat you with kindness and love, like you deserve!" Now, if Akaza would've said that sooner, Tanjirou wouldn't have blurted out at the same time (still with amusement in his tone) his next words: "I know the idea of us dating is ridiculous! Stop making that face! We would never!"

But they do speak at the same time, and the silence that comes next is uncomfortable and it hurts.

Then Akaza hisses like he's in pain and moves away from Tanjirou in the blink of an eye, like he had been burnt.

"What do you mean by 'ridiculous'?" Akaza grimaces. "Is it because I'm a demon? Do you only date hashira?"

Tanjirou doesn't understand why he's so upset out of the sudden.

"No, it's just... our relationship is not like that." If he's being honest, Tanjirou thought Akaza was outraged at first at the mere thought of dating someone like him. Maybe he doesn't want to be considered heartless. "I'm not saying you're not capable of caring for someone else. It's just that we don't... We are not..."

"That's enough," Akaza cuts him off, voice trembling with hurt and anger. He's shaking. "I understand."

"What?" Tanjirou is even more confused now. "I mean we're friends! I consider you my friend!"

"I said THAT'S ENOUGH!" Akaza shouts, looking away, although not fast enough for Tanjirou to miss the regret written all over his face. "I didn't mean to yell at you."

Tanjirou rises from the ground and takes a couple of steps closer to him, but the upper moon moves away.

"I know, it's okay. But I don't understand... Why don't you explain it to me?"

Akaza shakes his head.

"Are you crying?" Tanjirou asks, feeling completely lost.

"No, of course not! I don't care!" Then his shoulders fall as if he just gave up out of the sudden. He looks devastated. "I need to go."

"What? No! The sun is still–"

"Don't act like you care about me!" Akaza hisses and Tanjirou can see a single tear falling from his eye and down his cheek.

"But I do care about you!"

"Stop lying to me!" And he goes, jumping out the window. Tanjirou just hopes there are enough trees and houses he can use to hide from the sunlight.

If he's being honest, he doesn't understand what just happened, but he feels like he made a terrible mistake.

He misses him already.

Genya spends a lot of time with him now; Tanjirou knows it's because he's worried sick about him; apparently his friend thinks Tanjirou's boyfriend is either going to leave him or break his heart. But mostly he's concerned about the "boy" using Tanjirou for selfish reasons.

His friend has been so kind to him lately that Tanjirou feels extremely guilty for not telling him the whole truth.

They go on missions together now; the Pillars feel more relaxed knowing someone is with him and it seems that they trust the youngest Shinazugawa boy.

He hasn't seen Akaza since that day and Tanjirou can't help but feel sad and worried; he's not exactly sure what he said or did wrong to make him leave like that. Mostly he's worried about the upper moon needing his blood again. What happens if he gets hungry again? Akaza has come so far it'd break Tanjirou's heart to find out he hurt an innocent person and it'd be his fault as well because he was the one who decided to give him another chance.

And yet he's almost sure that won't be the case; he trusts Akaza now, he knows he would do the right thing.

But why did he get upset with Tanjirou? He was clearly hurt the last time the redhead saw him, not physically of course; it was a very deep emotional wound.

Tanjirou is not sure what happened exactly and he doesn't have anyone to ask.

"Are you alright, darling?"

His Pillars are worried about him again. Tanjirou can see it in Kanroji's eyes and the way the others try to pretend they're doing other things, instead of listening to their conversation.

"I'm fine," he lies, looking away from her. He feels terrible about it, but it's not like he has any other choice; telling the truth would involve telling them everything about Akaza.

And he's not ready for that.

"You know you can tell us anything, right?" Tomioka puts a hand on Tanjirou's shoulder; his eyes are so full of worry and sincerity the redhead can't help but feel a squeeze in his heart.

He nods, even though he's not sure that's entirely true. Can he really say something about Akaza without having them all hunting him down?

And yet... he'll think about it; he's getting a little bit tired of keeping such a secret from the people he loves.

Besides, it seems like Akaza doesn't want to see him again. Maybe it's for the best. Although Tanjirou still worries about him.

He's sleeping in the middle of the woods next to Genya; he's his traveling companion now (the only one), much to Zenitsu and Inosuke's irritation. Tanjirou needs to talk to them soon as well.

"Are you sure he's not... hurting you?"

The sound of Genya's voice brings a soft smile to Tanjirou's face; he turns around to look at the other boy, who blushes immediately.

"No, he isn't."

"But–"

"Genya, can I tell you a secret?"

"Of course," the tall boy says without hesitation and Tanjirou feels a wave of affection towards him. However, he still needs to make sure.

"You need to promise me you won't tell anyone, no matter how bad you think it is."

Concern is written all over Genya's features, but he takes one of Tanjirou's hands and nods again.

"I promise."

The shock in Genya's face after Tanjirou tells him a part of his deal with Akaza is too much for him.

"Your boyfriend is actually a demon?"

"No," Tanjirou shakes his head, feeling his cheeks like they're on fire. "Maybe I should start at the beginning..."

And then he tells him everything.

"Tanjirou, that's... you should tell the Pillars," Genya insists, blinking a couple of times, like he still can't quite believe it.

"I can't! They'll kill him!"

"Maybe that's for the best..."

"Genya!" Tanjirou scolds him and even though the other boy blushes under his tone, he doesn't look away.

"I know you like to believe in people, that everyone deserves a second chance and that there's good in them. But that's a demon..."

"My sister is a demon," Tanjirou reminds Genya, stubbornly. "And she's good."

"That's different and you know it. You told me this is an upper moon; he's obviously close to Muzan himself..."

"Not anymore."

"Maybe he's just pretending to get closer to you."

"I know he isn't."

Genya sighs, but pulls Tanjirou into his arms because it's obvious the redhead is distressed at the moment.

"He's the one who was biting your thighs?"

"Yes."

"Maybe you're right; don't tell the hashira. Besides, you're not seeing him anymore..."

Tanjirou shakes his head and sobs a little; he misses Akaza.

"What happened?"

He tells him; perhaps Genya can help him find out why Akaza got so mad at him.

When he tells him everything there's an uncomfortable silence that follows; Tanjirou needs to gently push Genya away a bit in order to see his expression: he's in shock.

"This is worse than I thought..."

"What do you mean?"

"Tanjirou, that upper moon is in love with you!"

i definitely fell heart ❤️ first for kyotan after finishing the mugen train arc, but hmmmmm, to pinpoint the exact moment it ✨ sparked ✨ and activated the fujo cells in my brain, it has to be the sleepy time on the train—i am not immune to the tenderness of the scene, pls gtg couldve had tan sleep against the window, or nod off to sleep without leaning against kyo, BUTTTTTT tan placed his head on kyo's shoulder, AND KYO DIDN'T STOP HIM!!! (ง ื▿ ื)ว

for all we know, tan couldve drifted off to sleep first on the rattling window, and then kyo placed his head on his shoulder so tan could sleep more comfortably! 😉😉 anyway

🎴 tanjiro has always been my favourite character, right from the start of the series—he's a very loveable character, dependable, and his "i am the eldest son!" attitude really endeared me 😭😭 similarly, kyo is also a very dependable and sexy big brother, so its needless to say that they captured my heart almost instantly

and obviously, like, the way the kamaboko trio first met kyo on the train, how it was zen and ino's first time seeing kyo, and they were asking tan how they would know they met the right person,,, and the way tan said he's seen kyo before and would definitely recognise him! (im not gonna lie, that little bit alone had the fujo braincells in my head starting to wake up 🤭🤭)

and then how they got to see kyo's strength and power as he slayed the first two demons on the train with ease, and then the look of admiration (love) on tan's face when kyo ran up to tan and told him he would take care of five carriages while zen and nezuko handled three,,,

and then finally, when kyo called tan to come over and referred to him by his name, especially hits hard when he calls zenitsu yellow hair and inosuke, boar boy,, and how he gave tan and nezuko his approval 😭😭😭

and then how tan could barely keep himself together, couldnt bring himself to accept the fact that kyo, a powerful and strong hashira, has lost to an upper moon, his anguished cries while he was carried away, please, spare me

i just really love how close kyo and tan got during the events of one night 😭😭😭

mmm, i am a huge sucker for animal settings and stuff with deities, so konpon au, tiger x cat, owl kyo, literally all the ones with part animal stuff, i eat them all up!

aside from that, the rengoku lives tag is free therapy okay, lets be real xDDDDDDD i just love thinking about the future that couldve happened if kyo had survived

and i also think it would be interesting to see how they would live their lives after muzan has been taken down, we have kyo, whose entire life has been moulded and shaped for one purpose only and now that theyve finally achieved it, what happens?

definitely, there would be a training arc, maybe kyo and tan would have to rein in wandering thoughts about each other, or fics where kyotan gets into an argument bc tan doesnt want to become his tsuguko bc it means replacing kyo as hashira,

lets see, i think kyo has the potential to be manipulative, whether he is conscious of it or not

it has to do with his trauma, where he is so! good! at compartmentalising his emotions, and how rigid he can sometimes be about "this is the way things has to be",

im talking about how ruka instilled "the strong must protect the weak" mentality in kyo, and given how he interacts with sen and the bento girl, it sort of reflects that "the weak should just sit back and be protected by the strong"

and i just think that if he's 100% set his mind on "the way a certain thing should be", he might end up manipulating the situation to be what he has envisioned in his mind

like if sen really pushes through headstrong that he is going to train hard and join the demon slater corps, kyo is going to reject and push sen's desires down, kind of the way shin is doing to kyo, but kyo might end up saying things that affect sen more than shin does kyo—maybe he'll tell sen about what ruka says, and it can be especially effective bc sen barely has any memories of ruka before she passed, how he should just let him! the older and more capable one! handle all the hard work, that sen is pitiful enough the way he already is, really hammering in the point that sen cannot possibly do anything,,, that kind of stuff

of course, that doesnt mean that kyo is incapable of changing his mind—proven when he first says nezuko should be killed bc she is a demon and 100% no longer human, but then changes his mind about nezuko once he sees her protecting the passengers in mugen train

gah—i just think that he can be manipulative if he (his heart) really wants to, and i say his heart because again, he might be doing it subconsciously, reflecting what he really wants deep down, and not what he thinks should happen from his skewed perspective as the strong one

ooh!!! this one is a fun one!

enmu says he likes to give his victims the happiest dream they could ever dream of, then thrust them into the most painful dream once they've relaxed and put down their guards,,,

so lets see, for kyo right, since his dream starts of with a memory of him telling shin that he has finally become the flame hashira, and how shin belittles him and his efforts

then it goes on to show sen waiting outside shin's room, waiting for kyo to come out etc, yadda yadda

i think enmu would continue to build on that dream, so it will emphasize the peaceful, but short, days that kyo gets to spend with sen

then! he might end up dreaming about ruka, about the happy days he has shared with his family, before ruka's passing that broke shin so bad

maybe it'll show scenes where kyo gets back from a long mission and starts telling sen about how it went, and then goes on with him learning things that sen excitedly shares, stories that he's learned from reading,

sen getting his beloved aniki to try and taste test his latest recipes bc shin is too busy drowning himself in alcohol, kyo thoroughly enjoying and appreciating sen's efforts, eating burnt food whilst sen apologizes nonstop and trying to get kyo to stop eating the burnt stuff, saying he'll make another batch that isnt burnt

maybe there'll even be a part where sen helps to trim kyo's hair for the first time, carefully, and then sen accidentally cuts off a big chunk

now kyo lets him and just laughs it off, bc he wants to leave some happy memories with sen before his inevitable death happens, as with any rengoku before him, while fulfilling their duty

as for tan, enmu also lets him dream about his family, and we know that tan so desperately misses his family, how much he wants to sit there and bask in denial that his family had been killed in cold blood

so continuing from that, i think tan would be spending more time with his family, chopping wood and making charcoal as usual with takeo following him around happily, then descending the mountain to sell charcoal as per his usual routine with rokuta and hana tagging along

maybe the seasons would change, from winter to spring, where tan would occasionally take a break and go pick some flowers for kie, and to spend time basking in the morning sun with rokuta and hana

to summer, where he would bring his siblings down to the river and play with them in the water, and he would catch fish with them, teaching them how to spear the fishes

to autumn, where he would rake up the leaves to make a giant leaf pile and his siblings would jump into it, maybe he might even build a little canopy hut thing for them to play in with the fallen leaves and branches

with all the seasons that come and go, tan watches happily as his siblings all grow up, but bc enmu wants to give him a bad dream at the end, tan realises that he's the only one that isnt aging like the rest of his family

he starts to notice when he sees takeo and rokuta looming over him, having grown up already, takeo, getting into his rebellious phase, rokuta, no longer the crybaby he used to be

nezuko and hana, much older now, swooning over the new family that just moved into town, who also happens to have a handsome and single young man, who only vaguely reminds tan about muzan (bc it is him but in a different form, and tan cant smell him very well bc he's already so drawn into his dream, so settled in but just on edge enough to realise that something isnt quite right)

kie, her eyesight no longer what it used to be, grey hairs and shaky hands are her normal now, but still lovingly making their favourite senbei for her darling children

all growing older, except for tan, who continues to remain stuck, frozen in time

Random stuff about my DS S/I (because I can't sleep):

She'll usually paint little rings around her fingers and pretend that she's married to all of her beloveds, demons or otherwise

She has a stash full of drawings she's made for Muzan and the upper moons, she never got enough courage to give all of it to them but she still sees them as her family

There's only three things she remembers from when she was human: the feeling of loneliness, fear of betrayal and cats (which she's quite fond of)

She enjoys most human foods, even if they don't make her feel full at all

She doesn't have any favorites among the lower and upper ranks, but she really admires and cares for Akaza because of how genuinely kind and respectful he is towards her

But yeah!! Here are a few random demon headcanons I have

They have fangs on the bottom and top row of teeth (obviously). But specifically, very large fangs similar to that of dogs or big cats. Essentially, demon fangs evolved for the purpose of ripping and tearing large chunks of meat out of a body/breaking bones. Basically, if someone gets bit by a demon, they're not ending up with just a few puncture wounds, they are losing large portions of flesh

Demons don't need to sleep. However, they're more than capable of it. Some bother with it, some don't. Those that do mostly use it as a way to pass the time while the sun is up if they don't have access to any other forms of entertainment.

However, building off of that, demons like Tamayo and Yushiro do need to sleep. Even with Tamayo's modifications, only drinking blood rather than consuming flesh results in a lot less potential energy, so they sleep to make up for it

This is definitely related more to the supernatural aspect of demons, but we know they have obsessive tendencies, usually over something in their humans lives. For Muzan, it was surviving. For Rui, it was having a family. For Akaza, it was getting strong enough to protect those he cared about, etc, etc. While these things were obviously important to them regardless, I like the idea that becoming a demon amplifies those feelings and tendencies (and creates a special kind of hell considering how out of reach these desires are, especially when they can't clearly remember why they want them). I like the idea that demons literally can't snap themselves out of this headspace. No amount of rationalization or logic can stop them from chasing after these obsessions

Wisteria! It's similar to an allergy for demons, but not necessarily deadly in normal circumstances. It mostly just causes some irritation. However, once it's directly in the bloodstream is when it can become deadly, as something in the wisteria directly targets the demonic virus and begins breaking it down. This is why it's more effective on weaker demons! There's less of Muzan's strain of the virus in them, so it's able to kill them before the healing factor burns it out of them.

(Also potentially explains why Nezuko seems to have no issues at the Butterfly Estate and all the wisteria there. She's not necessarily immune, but she's mutated outside of Muzan's strain of the virus, so it's not as detrimental to her)

Demons can eat human food, it's not poisonous to them or anything like that. It just doesn't provide any sort of nutrition and more often than not, doesn't taste good to them, so why bother attempting to eat it?

Eating someone who is drunk or high can result in the demon getting a mild buzz themselves
