Why have I never seen any headcannons or anything in fanfiction about Mic and All Might absolutely speaking English to each other and annoying the shit out of everyone (especially Aizawa)

Mic is always happy to discover a new way to drive Aizawa insane (with love) and All Might is just excited to practice his English.

All Might: Hello Present Mic! Nice weather we’re having today isn’t it?

Mic: Oh yeah! Nice and sunny, you should have class outside today :D

Aizawa: stop speaking in tongues

1-a somehow finding out that their stoic, hardass homeroom teacher is absolutely stupid head over heels in love with their goofy, ridiculous, eccentric english teacher and subsequently reading WAY too much into how they interact in passing when they switch periods every morning

ie: in that scene where shouta takes too long to conclude class and makes mic wait, there's a slight pause in his canter before he calls hizashi "mic"-- class 1-a would be gripping their seats to bring that up in the dorms later about how aizawa-sensei probably almost accidentally called mic-sensei "pookie bear" since that's most DEFINIETLY what he calls him at home

they talk every morning when shouta is leaving the room and hizashi is walking in, and every day, class 1-a will watch for subtleties in behavior so closely that some of them don't even breathe or blink

i like to think that, back in UA, hizashi liked to talk into those audio recording things as though he were making a podcast or something. he had shouta, oboro, and nemuri talk into it, too.

it was mostly just commentary on anything interesting that was going on, or just rambling about nothing for hours.

oboro was probably the one who told hizashi that he’d be great as a sports commentator or radio host.

after oboro’s death, hizashi would listen to those old recordings whenever he wanted to hear his voice. when shouta isolated himself and nemuri was busy, hizashi listened to them so he wouldn’t have to be alone with his thoughts.

ok vigilante Izuku, in order to save his ass from arrest, punches Present Mic in the face to drown him out

A month later, Midnight comes at him and he has to hit her in the face too, so that she reflexively grabs her nose and does not have time to tear the suit and release her quirk

Meeting the vigilante-friendly Eraserhead, Izuku hits him in the face simply out of principle, and responds to his indignant look:

- I needed that three-point combo!

Okay, but I will genuinely never be over this panel. Mic is sitting in Aizawa's blind spot. Mic is sitting where Aizawa can't see him. Mic is sitting where he can protect Aizawa best. Mic is (most likely) sitting with his back to the door. Mic is choosing Aizawa's safety over his own.

Ngl Mic's reaction is giving me Nana vibes. The whole grief of their situations being brought up and wanting so desperately for it to end already, to choose the easy way out just so it stops hurting

Nana going from crying because Izuku wanted to save Tomura and feeling grateful to then shouting at Izuku to kill him already. Mic going from "if you aren't Shirakumo fade away but if you are come back to us" to then grabbing Kurogiri by his clothes ready to punch him and yelling about how he shouldn't have given him the benefit of the doubt

I think it's also shown in the way Mic lists things that dehumanise Kurogiri too. "He's not crying, it's just the rain" "he has no tear ducts, he's a noumu" It's so clear he wants this to be over already

Same thing happened with Nana and Tomura. The vestiges too. They kept saying how he is destruction incarnate, how it's too late for him, how he's a "thing" "not human", just like Tomura said himself

Mic and Nana just let themselves think that way because it's the easy way out. They put a lid on their feelings, and in the final war arc it's like the lids got ripped off and it's all coming out now

That's why I think Aizawa and Izuku sort of parallel here. They wonder about their supposed enemies. "Why didn't he get rid of us? Why didn't he kill us when he could have?" Aizawa asks, physically reaching out to Kurogiri. "I have to ask why he can't let go of that sad lonely past of his!" Izuku says, also attempting to reach out to Tomura in his own way

"That's where their origins lie" Aizawa says as he thinks back to those school days. And Izuku was in Tomura's mind, literally at the center of his "origin"

Even though it's painful for Nana, Tomura and Mic, Aizawa and Izuku press on anyway because they can't help but wonder whether things can change. If things don't have to be this way

erasermic is like on one hand “they will never actually get together because Mic is too terrified of his own emotions and too set in his ways of ‘when in doubt, shut the fuck up’ and too devoted to selflessly supporting Eraser to ever confess and there is no way Eraser has any fucking idea that Mic is hopelessly in love with him”

and on the other hand it’s like “Eraser would totally call Mic sappy pet names in a completely deadpan voice and tell anyone who might overhear them to stay silent about it on pain of death”
