the rhythms in Pierre's theme in AirForce Delta Strike go really hard
I think the composer kept adding and removing beats because I lose count every time I try to follow it. But it all works and sounds natural!
Pierre is the worst (positive) so I'm glad his theme slaps

Sega Dreamcast - Bio Hazard 2 Value Plus (Resident Evil 2)
Title: Bio Hazard 2 Value Plus / バイオハザード2 バリュープラス
Developer/Publisher: Capcom / Imagica
Release date: 22 December 1999
Catalogue No.: T-1214M
Genre: 3D Adventure / Survival Horror
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A piss poor effort from Capcom after their amazing Code Veronica release.Basically, Biohazard 2 on the DC is the PS1 Dual-Shock version with an added "Extreme Battle" option. There is no excuse for lazy PS1 ports to DC without any enhancements at all. I can name many: Biohazard 2, Biohazard 3, all Konami games apart from Ganbare Nippon and Airforce Delta, Dino Crisis, and Nightmare Creatures 2 which even looked crap on the PS1 so you can imagine my horror when I saw it running on the DC. On a sidenote, the DC version comes with a trial disc of Biohazard Code Veronica.

Falloutober 2023 - Day 21

This is researcher Janey Amber creating the mandatory research logs for Project Delta.
Research outline - See what the side effects are of repeated minor Forced Evolutionary Virus exposure.
Requirements - Young test subject - Constant monitoring of subject - Access to FEV in small doses.
Goal - Create a person impervious to radiation poisoning without complete transformation.
Notes - The subject will have to be raised outside the Enclave base. They must be exposed to radiation throughout the test, this will not be possible from the confines of Raven Rock or Adams Airforce Base. This is a large project to be undertaking but will hopefully yield results that can be used to protect future generations from the radiation that will be present in the wasteland.
Risks - If too much FEV is injected the subject may suffer transformation and mutation beyond the desired outcome.

Mandatory research log 2 - Test Subjects
Me and my small research team have received a test subject. Rather than a volunteered Enclave child like I had expected, the subject is a young girl from the wasteland. Rumour from some of the soldiers is that the child had been taken from a Brotherhood camp. If so, she would be a more valuable bargaining chip for the Enclave. But these are just rumours and I deal only in facts.
She’s older than I’d have liked, but the uses of a mindwipe has removed all risk of rebellion. She’s health with low radiation exposure, allowing for more accurate images of radiation effects. She seems to have an aptitute for technology despite the mindwipe, hopefully that is all that will bleed through from her old life.
Having been taken from the wasteland and mindwiped, we do not know her name and have taken to calling her Paige. For the experiment to work, myself and Paige will have to leave Raven Rock and join the poor excuses for civilisation in DC. Because of this Paige has been convinced I have been her Mother figure for the last few years and she will also take my Surname. Though I dislike the idea of someone being raised without a middle name. So she will be Paige Julian Amber. A good name for a girl like her.
Another test subject is being chosen from the children born into the Enclave. Darren Elliot will take care of their administration of FEV. Due to the experimental nature of this research, he and his subject will remain in an Enclave base, forming an alternate method for the test. This allows for balance in our research.

Madatory Test Logs - Update - Rivet City
The test has been going on for 3 years now. Me and the girl are living in Rivet City, a dilapidated warship with a quaint science department.
Over the last 3 years, the girl has been exposed to the FEV 3 times. No notable changes have occurred. She has quickly engraciated herself with the local population as I have with the scientists. One of them, a Madison Li, worked on the abandoned Project Purity. Something of note that could be valuable in the future. No one suspects my alleecnes to the Enclave.
I fear the experiment may be a failure. Paige has shown no signs of being poisoned by the radiation that is so prevalent out here, however she has not been properly exposed to high amounts that would lead to any real effect. My fears of a failed experiment come from my growing concern for the child. She is now 11 and I find myself worried about her being raised in a world like this. But I am not letting my emotions overcome my objective. This was not a risk to the experiment I had foreseen.

After 7 years of letting me continue this experiment the project has been scrapped. The test subject at Adams Airforce Base died after their 7th injection of FEV. The Enclave, no Autumn no longer sees the value fo the experiment. He believes I have been to distant from the Enclave to be immediately brought back into the fold, so I am to ‘test my allegences’ and travel back out West to find some technology that we left out there. My cover is that of a courier.
After all these years, purposefully exposing Paige to FEV, Autumn has the nerve to send me away on a test of my faith. I was getting results. Paige has not gotten radiation sickness despite having fallen into the water. Despite having been dragged through the city’s ruins she has not gotten sick. Paige was a successful subject and the test still had 3 more years. But she has not been socialised as a member of the Enclave and so Autumn sees it as a failure.
I have left my daughter with the radio host, Three-Dog. He does not know I have abandoned her, nor does he know my allegecnes. This is my one act of rebellion against the Enclave, leaving her alive with someone who may be able to return her to her real family. She will be safe with the DJ and her technical knowhow will aid her in the wasteland.
I still believe in the Enclave, and I will return in the years to come with whatever we left behind and I will prove to them than even after years without the FEV exposure, Paige will survive without radiation poisoning and without mutation.

III. Danger Zone
Pairing: Marcus Pike x Frankie Morales
Tumblr media
Rating: Explicit, 18+ MDNI Words: 800 A/N: Well, y'all done it now. I was blown away by all the awesome comments you left on Maverick and No Game At All (But I Can Do This), and ended up writing an entire outline for a ficlet series about these guys. Lots of smut with just enough plot to hold it together. Here is part 3 (thanks for the title @sin-djarin) and there's lots more to cum come. Unbeta-ed. Dividers by @saradika.
< Previous part
Tumblr media
“I still can believe this is where you work.” Marcus shakes his head as he follows Frankie to another chopper, still awestruck by being at the  Los Angeles Airforce Base. “Didn’t even know they let civilians in.”
“They don’t, but you’re with me. Figured I owe you for the other day.” Frankie gives him an apologetic smile as he nods at the aircraft. “Wanna check it out?”
“Is that even allowed?”
Frankie looks amused as he climbs in the helicopter, offering Marcus a hand to get in too. “You’re dying to see this but you’re worried about permission? The FBI fucked you up good, huh.”
“I just - I don’t want you to get in trouble.” Marcus tries to not blush, painfully aware of how different they are; Frankie as ex-Delta Force versus himself at the FBI Art Theft department. Different kinds of rules, training, skills. Marcus has never lacked confidence about himself or his profession, but there’s a quiet confidence and competence about Frankie that hits him hard. Even more so here among aircrafts that Marcus has dreamt of since he was a kid.
Frankie doesn’t respond and flicks some switches, then nods at the seat up front. “Go ahead.”
“Shit. Really?” He tries to not sound too giddy as he slides into the pilot chair, breathing in deeply as he looks at all the controls and blinking lights. Shaking his head as he takes it all in, being somewhere he could’ve never imagined himself to be. “This is awesome.”
“Good.” Frankie’s voice is soft, almost as gentle as the hand he rests on Marcus’ shoulder. Before Marcus has time to think about just how close he is, Frankie’s hand moves to his chin, tilting Marcus’ head back just slightly so their eyes meet.
A smile plays over Frankie’s face as he leans down and kisses him, and Marcus’ mind just goes empty. Senses overloading as he tastes the peppermint on Frankie’s breath, smells his cologne so clearly now, and he wishes they were somewhere private instead of on the base.
When they come up for air, Frankie is smiling as he takes off his cap - revealing even more of those fucking perfect curls -, and puts it on Marcus’ hair. “Hold this for a sec.” He takes a step back as he takes in the sight, those eyes seeming to get even darker. “Looks good on you,” Frankie says, and this time his voice is lower, deeper and almost gravelly.
“Yeah?” Marcus can’t find any further words, especially not when Frankie’s large hand cups him through his pants, strong fingers closing around his cock.
“Yeah.” Frankie nods, then starts to unbuckle Marcus’ belt, calmly undoing his pants as he sinks down to his knees, a slight smile ghosting around his lips. It widens into a grin when he takes out Marcus’ dick, those strong fingers cupping his balls, and Marcus has to fight to not close his eyes by how good it feels. He doesn’t want to miss any of this, of how good Frankie’s tongue looks on his dick, running over the vein underneath and then the head.
“You’ve been hard since the moment you stepped on the base,” Frankie’s voice is quiet but almost shaking, his eyes meeting Marcus’ again. “Saw it. The entire time.” The tip of his tongue slowly swirling over Marcus, licking up the beads of precum. “It’s been driving me fucking crazy.”
“Fuck me,” the words slip from Marcus’ lips as he groans, more in awe than an actual request as he reaches out for Frankie’s curls - oh, they’re so fucking soft, he just has to twirl them around his fingers.
Frankie hums as he nods, reaching for Marcus’ hand as he slides it to the back of his head. “Oh, you bet I will,” his breath so hot on Marcus’ cock as he flattens his tongue and licks him hard this time. “Later. Gonna suck you off first. You can pull my hair, ‘s good - I like it.”
With that, he goes down on Marcus, who loses the ability to think right on the spot. There’s only the warm, tight wetness of Frankie’s mouth on him, those curls under his fingers, the smell of diesel and planes all around them, that ridiculously attractive cap of Frankie resting on his head now.
The soft moans and quiet slurps that make all the hairs on Marcus’ body stand up, and then there’s only the pleasure banging through him, rushing like it’s poured in by the gallon, and he’s crying out Frankie’s name so, so much louder than he should - but he doesn’t even care. Let them find them here, with Frankie on his knees, mouth full of him as he’s jerking himself off - let them find them and be jealous, because they should be.

been putting this together for a couple days but here's the larger elaboration LOL
First of all , Jill was way more capably trained than any of the other S.T.A.R.S. members, which was right from the start a massive threat to Wesker. She never revealed any more than she wanted to , she was constantly reserved , and constantly observed, always taking notes. Her history, a lot of her skills were kept secret, and even Wesker didn't know the full extent of her capability . Compared to Chris who just had airforce under his belt, Jill had at least two or three special operations branches under hers, ESPECIALLY Delta Force - which is notoriously incredibly difficult to get into, and she's one of the only women in the world with that training.
She called Wesker pathetic in her run of REmake, and because of her character as a whole finding it difficult to trust, that only exacerbated after the mansion incident, because she had trusted Wesker so much, and he had betrayed her and her team.
She is also NOT someone to let go of grudges either, she would have constantly have thought back to it while she was doing all her investigations.
Especially when it comes to RE5, she threw Wesker out of the window not just because she wanted to save Chris, but also because she wanted to kill Wesker . He saved her because she had use to him , and then she spent three years under his control in Africa, which already is significantly more time than Chris had spent with his rivalry against him . Her hatred was building up for THREE YEARS , she DESERVED to have the final blow to end it. She spent so much time in direct contact suffering because of him , and she deserved to despise him.
He used her because of her skills, because she was a threat to him if he didn't get her under control - she is singlehandedly capable of destroying a very significant part of her plans. She is observant, capable, she isn't naiive or stupid, Jill is incredibly intelligent and she scares Wesker because of it -- he never knows how much SHE knows because she was that good at hiding it.
Chris was never impacted by Wesker as bad as Jill was . He was never against Wesker for the same amount of time as Jill was, and frankly, Chris never posed that big a threat to Wesker either - he was barely air force // STARS trained by the time of the general timeline the rivalry would have begun. Wesker sees him more as a nuisance/irritating, because JILL is the genuine threat, he's SCARED of who she is and who she's capable of becoming.
the poetry of jill fighting so hard against biowrapons but being the key for the most powerful one of them all.
--
@ice-cube13 @oikaoi if you were interested in seeing the overall take
hot take but jill valentine had so much more of a rivalry with wesker than chris ever did
(honestly to me the chris wesker rivalry makes NO sense . . it makes more sense for jill. i can elaborate on this take as well LOL)

METAL'S GAME OF THE DAY!
OK, today's game is Ace Combat 2. I beat this once on I think normal difficulty and found it too easy, and now I'm trying it on hard, it's good, but I think I still like Ace Combat 1 more, still it's pretty neat for the leap in graphics and gameplay.
Anyone ever played Ace Combat 2? I think next to Ace Combat 1, I think Airforce Delta is the 2nd best console jet game, I need to pick up the 3DO jet games and see how those are :)
