The wind was blowing hard from the north and sometimes out of limits. The Easyjet A321-251 NEO was on hold before the ATC gave permission to approach. Also, the TAP captain that landed before gave to the Easyjet cockpit some advice (ATC in the video) about the wind conditions on short final. Not an easy landing, but pilots know how to land in Madeira very safe :) Hope you like the video!

3 ALASAN KENAPA CITILINK AIRBUS A320NEO KECE!

"Nda, traveling melulu nih! Mau tanya dong, soal pesawat murah tapi nyaman!"

Kurang lebih seperti itulah pertanyaan yang sering diajukan kepada saya. Dari keluarga, teman lama yang sudah jarang ketemu, atau teman-teman di social media. Biasanya saya nyengir saja. Kemudian jadi tertarik untuk tanya balik, "Mau traveling kemana, sih?"

Nah, menariknya, hampir semuanya pasti jadi lanjut bertanya-tanya soal destinasi di Indonesia. Dari ujung Barat, seperti Aceh dan Sabang, kepulauan Komodo dan Waerebo di Flores, sampai Kepulauan Raja Ampat yang masih jadi idola dan paling diidam-idamkan. Memang, Indonesia nggak ada habisnya! Semangat itupun yang masih asyik saya tularkan ke semua orang. Menjelajah (dulu) negeri sendiri, yuk!

Rupanya, setelah saya kulik beberapa hasil survey tentang traveling tahun 2016 lalu (saya memang paling senang baca survey tahunan soal traveling yang mudah dicari di Google), temuan saya soal kebiasaan baru traveler di Indonesia dibenarkan oleh hasil survey Jakpat, yang berjudul Indonesian 2016 Travel Plan - Survey Report. Mereka menyebutkan 82% orang Indonesia melakukan perjalanan domestik alias berlibur di negeri sendiri tahun 2016 kemarin.

Nah, pemikiran saya tentang pertanyaan soal pesawat dan fakta soal traveling Indonesia ini seakan berjodoh dengan diundanganya saya untuk #MainKeGMF atau Garuda Maintenance Facility di Bandara Soekarno Hatta, Jumat 24 Februari 2017 kemarin. Citilink, Maskapai Penerbangan yang (saya lebih suka menyebutnya) friendly budget, rupanya baru menyambut kedatangan pesawat terkini mereka, Airbus A320neo.

Selain karena saya excited banget pertama kali main ke hanggar pesawat yang besar, saya juga senang banget, karena Citilink Airbus A320neo ini kece berat! Kenapa kece? Saya punya 3 alasannya:

Lebih Ramah Lingkungan

Kalau soal hemat bahan bakar dan hubungannya ke ramah lingkungan, menurut saya ini kece banget! Jadi ternyata kedatangan pesawat seri ini sudah ramai dibahas dari tahun lalu, dan Citilink berhasil menjadi Maskapai pertama yang memboyong A320neo dari produsen pesawat ternama Airbus, yang berasal dari Perancis.

Kata neo dari A320neo adalah singkatan dari new engine option, merupakan seri teranyar dari A320, pesawat Airbus terlaris di seluruh dunia. Peremejaan yang dilakukan brand pesawat ini ternyata berdampak baik bagi semua pihak, juga lingkungan! Konsumsi bahan bakar yang rendah dari mesin A320neo secara signifikan mengurangi emisi karbon sebanyak 15 persen, jumlah yang belum bisa dicapai oleh pesawat sekelas yang beroperasi saat ini. Ini berarti setara dengan 3.600 metrik ton emisi atau sama dengan menanam 900.000 pohon per pesawat per tahun. Wih!

Lebih Modern, Lebih Nyaman

Mesin yang disebut-sebut lebih modern ini juga pastinya berdampak pada kualitas pelayanan bagi penumpangnya. Direktur Citilink Indonesia Mega Satria dalam acara seremonial penyambutan pesawat ini pun mengatakan bahwa mendatangkan Airbus A320neo adalah salah satu upaya peningkatan pelayanan bagi pelanggan.

Dalam hal kebisingan, mesin A320neo juga dirancang bisa mengurangi suara bising 75 persen lebih rendah dibanding standar saat ini. Artinya, maskapai, mereka bisa memangkas biaya kebisingan dan terbang lebih rendah di rute-rute yang lebih pendek. Bagi bandara, suara bising yang rendah memungkinkan beroperasi lebih lama sehingga bisa meningkatkan revenue tanpa merugikan lingkungan sekitar. Nah, bagi para penumpang, paling asyik nih! Kita bisa menikmati kabin yang lebih senyap, jadi bisa terbang dengan lebih nyaman!

Kabar baik yang tidak kalah penting untuk di-share adalah, pesawat yang ukurannya lebih besar ini mengusung kapasitas 189 penumpang dalam layout kelas-tunggal (all-economy class) dan Citilink rencananya akan mendatangkan 5 unit pesawat pada tahun 2017 ini, dan telah memesan 35 unit pesawat Airbus A320neo sampai tahun 2021 mendatang.
