🍫  Sweet Baby Day(‘s) would mesh well with someone calm and supportive! Spontaneous and energetic people like him need a partner who works as their anchor to truly live their lives well. So, like Nine, Day considers his boyfriend to be very close and important to him but in a more romantic way. The cute mint-headed man is a bit slow on the uptake so it might take him a bit to realize he has romantic feelings for someone. However, since his boyfriend is calm and supportive, he's likely also patient and can wait until Day realizes his feelings, which the puppy boy greatly appreciates.

🍫  Because Day's energy is practically endless his boyfriend will have to be used to running around and participating in high-energy activities with him. If the sweet boy notices that his love is getting tired though, he'll insist that they both take a break and do something more calm. He's perfectly fine doing fewer physical activities even if he prefers to move his body, so things like cuddling, playing video/board games, or just listening to his boyfriend read aloud are acceptable for Day.

🍫  After a long day of playi– er… I mean working, receiving a nice bath and massage from his boyfriend is like a blessing for Day. Hell, even just getting a glass of water or sweet lemonade will do him just fine, since his heart squeezes -in the most pleasant way- whenever he's gifted something by his sweetheart. Doing nightly stretches after eating together is one of his favorite things to do before bed; not only does it limber up his joints and loosen his muscles from their tense state after a day of dealing with vengeful spirits, but Day also gets to spend time with his love.

🍫  On the supportive side of things, Day is also incredibly thankful to his beau. His lover lets him freely express himself and lets loose his energy during missions, so long as the mint-haired man knows when to hold himself back. Making sure to rein Day in whenever pushes his body a bit too hard in the heat of the moment and treating all of the injuries that he may have suffered. Also letting him call you whatever cute or funny nicknames he comes up with off the top of his head and cheering him on during and after his practice drills and exercises.

🍫  Most times, it would be Day, his boyfriend, and Nine in a group of three, with the occasional tag-along from Kir, Aitachi, or Sian. The likelihood of the couple spending a lot of time alone is pretty low just due to the puppy-like man's extroverted personality. Day simply loves people and he loves his friends and boyfriend; why hang out with just one when you can hang out with a whole group of people who you cherish? However, the others can read the room quite well and will readily give the pair some alone time to have a cute date every once in a while.

🍫  Speaking of the other members of Noctu; over the time that they've all spent together, they've grown incredibly protective of one another, so you best believe that Day's boyfriend got a full interrogation from each member. They don't play around, okay? They won't tolerate anyone hurting their precious sunshine dog boy. They'll smack a bitch.

What's afterl!fe? The characters look so cute and the artstyle is so pleasant to look at! I know you said it shut down, but I have to wonder, what it's about? Something to do with reapers? (I mean, I wouldn't mind if you started posting fic about the game because honestly, I'll read anything you write).

It was an otome game in which you play as the new manager for the 14th branch of Soul Reapers, all of them ranging in backgrounds, ages, and even species (Ell is an angel, and Quincy is a devil for example). There are different dorms, each housing four Soul Reapers. Mane (the Morning Team) consists of Ell, Jamie, Ghilley, and Licht. Die (the Day Team) consists of Theo, June, Louis, and Ethan. Hesperide (the Twilight Team) consists of Sian, Cyrille, Kati, and Noah. Noctu (the Night Team) consists of Nine, Day, Kirr, and Aitachi. Diluculo (the Dawn Team) consists of Youssef, Mori, Quincy, and Verine. As each team name suggests, it is the time at which they work!

Essentially, as the manager you're in charge of training and managing the Soul Reapers as they go about their daily work lives. All of them are dead and have past lives, and if I remember correctly they work to help guide vengeful spirits to the afterlife by sealing and purifying them within a kaleidoscope, hence The Sacred Kaleidoscope part of the game's title! :D I think they were also working towards reincarnation??? Although I might be wrong about that. I do know that when they came to the Reapers Department they all had a certain number of karma points which they had accumulated in their past life from various good and bad deeds.

You could send the Soul Reapers on cleaning shifts, read SNS posts, collect cards in the gacha, participate in limited time events, and read the card stories about various characters. There was also a feature where there were chat rooms for each dormitory and for each individual character, so you could chat with other players about your favorite dorm or characters! And aside from side stories and events, there was a main story!

It was a really fun game with lots of potential and many unique characters!!! Hopefully one day it will return, but until then I will hold the memory close in my heart. (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ.ﾟ

Ethan: 

Ethan is the king of keeping an eye out for you and often acts before you have the chance to knock something over or trip, helping you keep your body clear of bruises and cuts that happen at your weakest moments. He tries to scold you and tell you to pay extra attention, to focus on what you’re doing without getting distracted, but that doesn’t always help. He’s quietly resigned himself to his fate of taking care of a clumsy person who he never wants to see hurt, working overtime on this job while ignoring the teasing of others who can tell he’s doing it out of the kindness of his heart (that they don’t always think he has). 

Nine: 

If Nine sees you doing anything that might get you hurt he urges you to stop, grabbing ahold of you before you fall on your face or calling out for someone else who’s closer to grab onto you before you get hurt. He seems exhausted by how easily you seem to tumble over but it’s all born from worry as he doesn’t want you to end up seriously hurting yourself because you weren’t paying attention or your balance was off. He tries to stay directly by your side whenever you’re in the same room together just in case he has to save you from making a mess of a poor inanimate object that couldn’t have possibly moved into your path. 

Theo: 

Being clumsy also meant you had a tendency to knock things over or not fix things as neatly as he would like, making Theo take on most of the work when it comes to cleaning up after you. He can’t hold it against you as he knows you’re not purposely clumsy but he wonders if there’s some way to help you help yourself so that chaos doesn’t follow you every time you walk in a room. He’ll go to ask you to do something for him but quickly realizes it’ll be better to do it himself but he’s quite proud of you whenever you handle a task without fumbling.

Ethan: A few drops of argan oil massaged into the scalp before I wash my hair is enough, ma'am.

Nine: After washing my hair, I always run it through with this "Mystical Comb."

Day: Hehehe, I always put coconut oil in my hair! :P And then Nine-Nine lets me use his fancy comb, too!

Verine: *cough* *cough* I have to take fifteen keratin tablets every day if I want my hair not to look like Quincy's — *cough* *cough* I mean, like a bird's nest that was run over by a car.

Kirr: Manager, I was not aware one was supposed to wash one's hair, as well. In the mountains, clean water can be very scarce.

Everyone: H — how does your hair look like *that*, then?

🧹 Theo would be appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the present. They only gave it to him, amplifying its importance to him. Although he sees the dirt, he promises himself that he is going to take excellent care of the potted plant. After all, it's a special gift from that special someone.

🧹 But that's going to be difficult to uphold. His goal is to make sure none of the soil from the plant transfers on his desk (while taking care of the plant). When it comes to pest control, Theo adds an additional 10 steps to his cleaning routing. The last thing he needs is a ladybug infestation in his room.

🧹 Since he doesn't usually help out in taking care of the Department's garden, he's not sure how much water the plant needs. However, Theo isn't willing to ask for help and finds the answer to his question after watching Ell water the department's garden. Ever since then, he's careful about watering and feeding the plant.

🧹 All is well until June comes back from a blood-pumping workout. He wasn't done with his workout, but was kicked out by Nyang Lead Manager. So he decided to finish the rest of his workout in his room. Let's just say he might have smashed the plant to pieces in the process.

🧹 Theo was not happy to say the least. The endless dirt on his desk and the broken present was more than enough to set off his temper. He makes June clean up the mess and explains the situation to the gifter. Fortunately, they gift him another one (which he keeps outside of his room).

🎼 Nine is touched by the gift. While he was alive, everything he loved was constantly taken away from him, so these small gifts warm his heart. His lips curved into a small smile as he observed the potted plants, cupped around his hands. It was a beautiful present that would make his room feel more welcoming and bright.

🎼 However, Nine can't accept such a present without giving something in return. He decides to whip up a batch of butter cookies that he'd been testing for a while. Although the gifter insists that it's not a big deal, Nine ultimately sends them a large box of cookies as a thank-you present.

🎼 As for the plant itself, Nine keeps it ontop of his windowsill, guarded with a decorative fence. He wasn't sure whether it would be safe to keep it around the other Noctu members, but he didn't want to have it in another room. After all, it was a reminder of the bond he had with the gifter.

🎼 Unfortunately, Nine's plant suffers a similar fate as Theo's. Kirr had set up another set of traps in all the Noctu rooms because he heard booming noises in the middle of the night (which was actually the sputters of a broken AC system). One particular evening, the AC started with another loud boom, setting off the traps. The plant was pierced and the pot was shattered.

🎼 Although Nine was annoyed, he wasn't surprised. Instead, he gathers the remains of the plants and determines if there's anything he can do to salvage it. If not, it's time to bid it farewell. He doesn't mention its death to the gifter until they ask about it.

📸 Noah is initially surprised. The gifter went out of their way to get a special present for him? It was such a sweet gesture that he felt that he didn't deserve. He's grateful and gives them a heartfelt thank-you with a big smile.

📸 He keeps the plant on top of his dresser as it gets plenty of sunlight. Not to mention that the potted plant looks aesthetically pleasing in that position (as his dressed top is fairly empty), so it's a double win.

📸 Although he doesn't have a lot of experience in taking care of plants, he tries his best. Noah creates a schedule, taking time out of his day to care for it. He prefers to water it when he first wakes up, so he doesn't forget. He also asks different reapers for advice, trying to make sure that the plant is receiving enough care.

📸 If the potted plant is small, then he takes it with him for overnight missions. It's a small reminder of the people that care for him, which keeps him motivated to do his best (and please everyone that cares for him, especially the gifter). If it's a larger one, then he usually leaves it under the care of Housemaster Sei.

📸 Noah's plant lives a pretty long life. However, all good things come to an end as the plant dies after Noah is called for an urgent two-week mission. Housemaster Sei was unable to look after it (because he had his own duties), so the plant died from lack of care.
